For all us cloth users I thought it might be interesting to see who has what.

I have:

6 Greens pocket nappies
2 Sandrastuffables (pockets)
2 Bitsforbots (pockets)
6 Handmade pockets by my SIL
1 Baby beehinds hemp honey
1 Baby Beehinds plush comfort
1 Handmade AIO from SIL
1 Handmade AIO (testing for a friend)
3 Bubba J (fitted)
3 PUL covers
1 Bear cover (has the face of a bear)
2 Soakers handmade by moi!!!!

That's it from me, what does everyone else have???

Ooooohhhhhhhhh

I have 15 Hemp Honeys and 5 pul covers, for some reason the pocket nappies did not appeal to me but that has since changed.

1 Green Nappy - I am going to get more of these - I have no idea why I was against pocket nappies. I think these nappies are excellent.

3 AIO's bought from WAHM mums of ebay.

I have a Baby Bloomers pocket nappy coming and I already have a couple of their stuffers.

My mum knitted me a couple of covers but they have gotten to little - if anyone wants them let me know - they are little.

Everyone says cloth nappies are addictive and I thought, yeah right, but they really are! :p

Wish I knew about them the first time around.

Sopolicha, I love my Greens too. I think they are the best pocket nappy around. Why didn't you like pockets before????

It's not until you start using cloth nappies and visiting the sites and ebay that you realise how addicitive it is.

If bubhub and cloth nappies are my only two addicitions I think that's alright.

15 Tots Bots
6 PUL Tots Bots
1 Erica's hemp nappy
1 Baby Beehinds hemp nappy
28 washcloths

I'm banned to buy more nappy after the eczema incident :( DH thinks hemp might have caused it...

DD's growing out of Tots Bots size 1 so I'm definitely going to need more nappies, apparently the only thing she can wear is 100% cotton. Any of you nappies expert can recommend me something good? :)

Honey Boys are WONDERFUL!!! I wish I could have more of them :o

Rebeccamum, do you like the Tots? They now have bamboo Tots which are supposed to be super trim. Erica's are also fantastic, you can get them custom made with cotton inners (the part close to the skin) but with hemp boosters sewn into the body of the nappy so totally concealed.

Bamboo nappies! Never heard of them before but must look at the website now :D Hopefully anything I buy now and in the future will be eczema friendly, it's difficult buying stuff for bub with sensitive skin :o

3 fluffies from kmart...cheap but not real absorbant

Hi all, I am not yet a "clothie" but wish to become one, and have only just started on my journey.

I have bought disposables for Bubs first couple of months, till he is a bit bigger, and as yet have only bought 6 Fluffies fitteds from Kmart and some pilchers, not sure of what type though.

I have looked on the net and found Eenee Eco nappies and was wondering if anyone has used them? I think I like the idea of the pocket able just to be pulled out and another one clicked in, as opposed to changing the whole nappy every time and therefore having to have a lot more nappies I am assuming?

Please if anyone and everyone can help me, it would be much appreciated.

I tried cloth with my first, and that lasted a child health nurse telling me not to use pvc pilchers and Tahlia piddling down me 5 secs later till I changed my mind. I didnt realise there is such a HUGE range of cloth nappies!! Maybe if I had found Bubhub a lot sooner, I would be a proud clothie like you all!! (and also a lot richer for not buying disposables!)

I haven't tried Eenee's personally because when I was researching nappies, a lot of people seemed to have problems with them. I know that the style has been changed since then but I haven't read many reviews about the new ones. This may have something to do with the explosion of wonderful Australian WAHM nappies that are now available.

As with all nappies, it's hard to say what will work for you until bub arrives and you try some to see what suits his/her shape best. There are some nappies that suit a wider range of body types better than others (such as Tots Bots non aplix) but as a general rule, I wouldn't stock up on any one type until you are sure.

I think I like the idea of the pocket able just to be pulled out and another one clicked in, as opposed to changing the whole nappy every time and therefore having to have a lot more nappies I am assuming?

This is one thing that turned me off them. I don't find it hygenic to have the same 'pocket' on all day even if the insert is being changed frequently. There will be bits of the pocket that has come into contact with urine which will then be against bub's skin for the rest of the day, not to mention explosive poos that go everywhere. I prefer to change the whole lot each change. Although this means having to buy more nappies (easy to do when you're addicted :) ) it also means that each nappy gets less wear because you are on a higher rotation so that they will end up lasting longer.

There are two types of 'Fluffies' available. One if made from flannelette which is not very absorbant, so if you have a heavy wetter, you should be prepared for leaks. The other is filled with an acrylic wadding which is NOT absorbant (and holds onto smells) so is completely useless as a nappy.

If you do want to go the modern cloth route, I'd seriously recommend checking out the WAHMs on OzCloth or Nappycino. (Uuummm, Mor or anyone else please step in and provide links because my brain isn't working tonight). With good quality nappies, you're less likely to have problems like absorbancy issues or leaks and therefore stick to cloth for the long term.

I know a few people who swear by the eenees things, but I don't like the look of them, like LucyE, there are heaps of amazing options around if you browse the above links for ideas!

good luck
