Ariane is the same, little piglet, she sometimes chokes because she drinks too fast! and constantly has wind! I feel like I'm forever breastfeeding  Other than that she is an angel baby and we are sooooooo lucky this time!

Welcome Monique

cmd'smum - you will cope just fine!! I did LOL!! You just find ways of doing things that is easier for all of you. There are days where I would just cry or want to have 5 minutes peace. How I am going to do it with 3 I don't know - although as my DH said - I didn't think I could do it with 1 but I did, I didn't think I could do it with 2 but I did, so he has all the confidence in the world that I will be able to do it with 3!!

Ok I've unpacked my hubby laptop and found some time to get on bubhub, my little man is an absoulte pleasure but very time consuming (in a good way)
So my first few weeks as a mum was some what weird and stressful. Spencer was born on Wednesday night, his dad arrived at the hospital the Thursday morning and we had the house packed up on Monday, moved in to a hotel until Saturday where we flew over to Perth and moved into another hotel until Friday and all of our stuff was unpacked..pft I'm tired just thinking about it again...

Apart from all that Little Spencer or wriggles as we have started to call him... Probably very confusing for Spencer to have two names...

Talk about confusing coming from City Sydney and then to the burbs of Rickingham, we went to go grocery shopping on Sunday and all the shops were shut???? Can you believe it now I'll need to think about when I need to go grocery shopping OMG how very inconvenient....But we have found solitude in "fish'n'chips" mmm d'lish...

I'll try and be a little more chatty, play nice girls.

Lp and Spencer

30-07-2007, 17:34
Karen, I know, you're right, I will find a way to cope. I guess it will just take getting used to!

Sam, I completely understand, isn't it sooooo inconvenient that the shops are closed on Sundays? IGA's are usually open and Perth City though (I know, big deal!) I hate the restricitons on trading hours in Perth, especially being from Sydney myself, it's hard to get used to. We used to have to rush to coles to do the grocery shopping when I worked full time, then it leaves you thursday nights and saturdays to shop, and its SOOOOOOO packed out, everyone complains and the lines are super dooper long and everyone has an attitude and I feel like shouting out, sucked in people, most of you voted NO for extended trading hours!!! Sad I say, we are the only state in this country with these silly restrictions! Enough of my :ecomcity: can't wait to finally meet you and your lil man!:yelclap:

Hiya,

Took me a while to realise this is where everyone was trotting off too..lol. Anyway i made it.

TJ - good idea with the July Bubs photo album, gives me an excuse to take some more pics.
And Lachlan is absolutely edible! As is everyone's bubs:D

I cant get over how many dark haired boys we have had in July. Any blonde bubs out there?

To the mums who have two or more kids now, how have you found your older children to deal with. Im asking because my daughter Jadah WAS an absolute angel before Nayte arrived but now OMG, anyone in need of a 21 month old? She's awesome with Nayte but is playing up big time for Andrew and I. All i get now is "No Mummy"

TJ
31-07-2007, 16:23
Jessy of course you are allowed in here, wouldnt have it any other way!

Hello Laine - glad to see you about!
I totally understand what you mean about trying to get time to get on here, very hard huh.

Mel - you are right about the dark haired boys, i think the same thing everytime i see some new photos.
And what a small world it is, i had a sticky at your family shots in the other thread and a GF of mine use to 'date' your DF like 10000's years ago. We use to go drinking at the dome and have $7 jugs, this dates back to like 2003/2004.
What a small world it is....!!!!

Hurro everyone!
Will be in here more to chat next week. I have mum here until next Thursday when she flies back to NZ so I am trying to cherish the time with her here, hence why I wont be on here too much between now and then. Must get my birth story typed up before it all gets fuzzy in my mind!
all is well here bubs is feeding well, milk has just come in and my boobs are all tingly and hard. Nipples are a bit ouchy too, hope it passes soon.
Ezekiel is a dream baby so far, sleeps and feeds and poos lol!!
Xavier is sick with nasty cold though so needs extra TLC especially since he is also facing a challenging time having to share mummy for the first time in his life.
So anyhoo will be back chatting away as usual by the end of next week, by which time I AM SURE ALL THE JULY MUMMIES WILL BE HERE!!:fingerscrossed: :babydust2: To Holly, Ally and BM!

Our little girl is a treasure as well. Our first was a true screamer and DS was forever hungry this little cherub feeds and sleeps and actually likes to be put down:eek: Hubby and I are just amazed that she goes down for a few hours and only really feeds 3-4 hourly!

It may change but boy it is different!

How is everyone recovering I am in agony I know it's only been less than a week but god the pain of it all! I am still on panadiene I try to cut back to 1 but the pain is still there!! Oh the joys of mother hood!!

Well I will be back in here to chat later:babydust2:

I cant even begin to imagine how you all cope with more than one bubba! And mine is a good baby, let alone having one thats unsettled and/or other kids to see to.
I admire you i really do.

I have some exciting news..... well exciting for me anyway.....:smiliedance:
I fit back into my pre-preg every day jeans this morning!!!
I tired them on about this time last week and NOPE no way were they getting on, but today yippiee!!!
I must admit i do now have some luffly "muffins" to go with, but nothing a longer shirt hasn't covered.
Im loving BF and i love it even more so for stripping off all those extra baby kilos.:yelclap:

Hi girls well i know whats it like to have norther kids needing you i have twin girls who are 2 1/2 it always seems at feeding time they want their mummy and if they dont get her they will go and do something to get into trouble god it can do your head in sometimes it can be hard sometimes to share the love around when your trying to feed. but i hope things get better for you guys.

Tj i lost a alot of weight after having tyran i fit back into my pre preg clothes BUT its still hard to do the button up and i still have some flubby bits that need to go as well so i hope more bf will get rid of that well i hope anyways.

Tyran is a month old today :( the time is going so fast he doesnt look like a new born anymore hes smileing all the time now and trying to talk back to me he just growing up way to fast :crying:

How are the july mummies and babies going today?

CodysMummy & ETsMUM :hugs: to you!
I can't believe how well im coping considering Jadah has been sick since we got home from hosp. I have to admit i think i had my 3 day blues come in on day 5 and that was simply because Jadah was really hard to handle and had a fever etc..

:smiliedance: :yelclap: woohoo TJ, It's a great feeling gettting back into those pre-preggie jeans. I managed to squish my butt in a pair last week, i had no choice, all my maternity stuff just hangs off me now.

monique13 - do you have one of those belly belts you could use for the time being?

Just want to have a little rant... Well Nayte is such a placid, cruisy, easy baby EXCEPT he's lacking some much needed skills in the boobie feeding dept. I KNOW im doing everthing right in terms of attachment( well as much as i can) but he still seems to suck air back and get overwhelmed when my milk drops after he has a couple of sucks, and makes that clcking noise occasionally, and he definately doesnt have tongue tie. I just hope over the weeks he gets better at feeding or it's going to drive me insane. RANT OVER. :o

Hi ladies

I have missed you :hugs:, so nice to know we can all keep chattin together, now it's about babies not bumps!

First of all big hugs to those not coping so well, and for those whos other kids arent either. I know exactly what you are going through, DD1 was the one we expected to feel it this time but it was DS, who has changed a lot. In the first few weeks started wetting the bed again, and having accidents, geting cold sores, and pushing the boundaries (drew all over the tv with crayon 2 weeks ago) It has been really hard to deal with, cause he is normally such a good boy, and i mean really good but he has become so unstable, and i kills me.

The last couple of weeks he has slowly been getting better though, so don't worry your others will get used to it, in their own time. Don't beat yourself up, i have had days too where i think what have i done bringing this stress into my little persons life, but in the end he gets a new sister, a new playmate and a someone else to share his life with. Try and look at the positives, and if you need a vent (or a cry) my in box is always open!

Wyner has officially got colic :( from 5 pm to around 12 she screams every night. There is nothing I can do to settle her down, and just when you think you might have settled her she starst up again. She started getting it at bout 3 weeks and after reading on the internet n-one knows for sure why babies get it, and there is no cure, but generally it is gone by 12 weeks, so six more to go! I am so tired!

TJ congrats on fitting into your jeans! I was lucky enough to fit into mine again at 2 weeks too (but with muffin top!) I hit the six week mark today, so I am looking forward to dusting off the elliptical trainer tomorrow morning for a bit of a workout...

I hope you are all enjoying mummyhood, and if your not right now, know it only gets better with time!!

Hi girls!!!!!

This thread is starting to move along now!

Gosh, It seems like all our older littlies are playing up! DD1 is the same, she's not that bad, but she is acting more "babyish" IYKWIM. She is also refusing to share her toys with her baby sister! soooo glad mum is still here!

Monique, I know, time flies, Ariane is already 3 weeks old :crying: before we know it, their 1st bdays will be coming up  ok, I'll slow down and not think that far ahead for now!

TJ, well done, BF is great!! I fit into my pre preg clothes too, with DD1 forget it, it took forever, this time, the weight is just falling off, I can't wait to start pilates when I hit the 6 week mark! So how is mummyhood treating you?

MJ, Chloe had colic, it's so horrible. The only thing that worked to settle her was a warm bath? but considering it's cold that might be a lil hard to do every night!

just a question, when is it safe to bd again? Do we have to wait till the 6 week mark?:o

uh oh, milk rolling in, off to feed the booby monster!!!

mumma_jessy
02-08-2007, 13:41
cmd - I think as long as you had a "normal" birth etc it is fine to bd whenever you feel ready.

We started again after about 3 weeks this time i think, not that it happens regularly, i'd much rather

Don't worry, Tassie was there not too long ago. I remember it well.
As for the BD-ing. We were back into it within 2 weeks with all of the kids except this one. Due to my prolapse cervix I have to wait and it's absolutely killing me! :o Nothing's changed "down there" as far as I can tell yet so will have to wait til my 6 week check up to see what the verdict will be - more time to heal or an operation :crying:

Hi everybody!

Just thought I'd pop in - I've had my bub - a beautiful girl born in the bath on July 24th. It was VERY intense but a wonderful experience and, of course, we think she's the most beautiful baby in the world!

Lil X-men
04-08-2007, 17:27
Hey there congrats little bean on your baby girl, I bet the bath experience was fantastic. I had this bubs in the shower and it was great, painful but wonderful!

Well I have been laid up with bloody mastitis this week, got it on day 6 *sigh*. Did everything right this time hired a LC and my attachment was good, but I had such a huge over supply I mean enough to feed triplets that I was just covered in lumps.
The same thing happened with my last bub and I endured it for three months, everytime I finished antibiotics the mastitis would come straight back within two days. seems my milk just never seems to settle down even with the guidance of specialists , very weird.
But anyhoo I have ended up drying up my milk and transferring to the bottle:gloomy: Feel very guilty (again, I know shouldnt but it's impossible not to) about this but I just couldn't endure the illness for another possible three months like I did last time, I couldn't possibly look after bubs and toddler in that condition.Luckily bubs is taking to bottle like a trooper, he such a good bub.
Sorry for the schpeel just had to get that all out lol!!
Bubs has put on 110gms in his first week of life lol, no surprising with my milk flow lol!!

How is everyone else doing?? I am hanging out for poor Ally and Leanne, the thread wont be complete till they get here:thumbsdown:

 Yep lilx i think we are all waiting till we are all here.......and spending time bonding with our new ones.

Dont feel guilty about going onto bottle - sometimes its for the best...i think i am on the verge of mastitis too prob have to go to the doctors tomorrow, not very nice i know.

As for b'ding some people have mentioned - my dh had a whinge yesterday the poor deprived man - till i mentioned its only been just over a week that hes gone without - oh the poor thing:D .

Well wont be long and we will all be here:smiliedance:

Hi All

I know exaclty what you mean Mel. DS has been the same. He was an  before we bought Chole home and know both DH and I are :hair:. He has become a tantruming monster. He is starting to get back to his normal self in the last day or so though.

Apart from the tantruming monster here, we have the perfect little girl who just sleeps and eats. It is such a relief considering her brother was such a difficult bub.

Got to go someone is harrasing the dogs, and there was a knock on the door.

Hi all

Just wanted to say hi and see if I can join you all on this thread.
Our little baby boy Aidan wasn't due until the 8th August, but decided to put in an early appearance and was born on the 24th July.
Anyway, I'm Fiona and I live in Newcastle,NSW with my hubby, we also have a 3 year old son.
Anyway things are pretty hectic around here at the moment, we are having some problems with Aidan's feeding and weight gain, so have GP appt and lactation appt this week.
Will try and pop in and chat as much as possible, look forward to getting to know you all.

Shakyla is great during the day and early hours of the morning but from about 7pm - 2am she screams and we can't settle her. You can hear the rumbling in her tummy and she does a few really good #2's and then finally sleeps!!

We started again after about 3 weeks this time i think, not that it happens regularly, i'd much rather
OMG the thought of it all scares me!! Mind you I have got 2nd degree tears so nothing like that will be happening

Anna I have 2nd degree tears which I have had before but I also got a haematoma from the tear and it is very large and sore. Not to mention the SPD that is really bad due to them needing to force my legs up again. I am off the panadiene after it constipated me and the pain of that was not worth the relief I got from them:no:

My 2 are really good with bubby demanding her for holds all the time!! Other than that DS is a bit sooky for daddy and wants daddy to do everything from hugs to pressing play on the dvd player. I think it is because daddy is home, well thats my story don't say any different or I may cry!!

Well we are all here now, with the arrival of Ally's bub Griffin today yay!!
Looking forward to hearing how things went when she gets home!
All is good here bubs is still a sleeping, eating pooing machine and overall a very easy bub compared to his big brother at the same age. Funny how they are all so different isnt it!
Shilo my DS is also very clingy to dad atm, he is behaving so mujch better than I thought though and loves to give bubs cuddles which makes me wanna cry, its soo cute!!
Sorry you are so sore after haivng bubs, that is no good at all. I hope things start to heal soon.
My haemmaroids are very sore from the birth but I am hoping to have surgery for them in a few months, man the things child birth does to ya, you wouldn't dream of!

Well in reference to BDing, I have been so lucky this time to not have a scratch on me from the birth so dont feel like I have had a bubs at all down there ( unlike last time I wouldn't let DH near me for about 7weeks after). So we are slowly easing back into things, but are being ultra careful as we DONT want any surprises next month. I could not cope with two children 9-10months apart!

Anyhoo I should get to bed while I can, bubs always wakes up at night time, soo frustatating! He wants to sleep all day and then instantly pops his eyes open at about 10pm everynight ready to play, ratbag!

Hey Leanne!!
Glad to hear you guys have settled in so well at home. Second bubs is so different isnt it? I think it has to do with having a bit more confidence second time around isnt it??

Glad the BF is going well too! I am still giving bubs formula but have been giving boobie too in between as even
though I took meds to dry up my milk it hasn't dried up at all, just settled right down to a low level so I no longer have millions of lumps and my boobs are back to a more respectable size lol!!
It's so much nicer feeding him without veinous engorgement and mastitis, but I still do have trouble attaching on my left nipple which is flat and a pain in the backside to get bubs on.

Anyhoo I cant wait to read your birth story hun, sounds like you had an awesome experience! So glad you had a better birth this time too:thumbsup:

Leanne glad you are home and things are going well.
Im very pleased to hear that!!
I hate reading that when mummies come home they aren't coping or are having health issues. Poor loves :hugs:

JUlie glad your bobbies are settling down. I have the odd day every now and then where they just swell up massive... they dont hurt, but it sure is hard to get Lochie on there.
I think it happens when he messes around the day before or just has lots of feds.

Linda long time no speak babe, hope you are doing well too.

Lochie had a massive power chuck in bed this morning.
It went everywhere and it was HUGE.
Hope he is ok......
He has had another feed since and no spew so :fingerscrossed: all is well.

Baileysmummy , cmd's and lil x - sounds like you are all going well with #2 bubba

monique - yes some sleep would be nice!morning comes so fast and hard when you have a child at school so cant be late lol

welcome to all the newbies joining the july mummas grp - sure it will take off once we all get a bit more settled

Hope everyone else is going well, we have a mad house at times and dh has to deal with alot more but sure things will settle soon.Ava is doing well but is picking up too early that if she cries she will be picked up and is now playing on it - oh and of course everytime i sit for dinner she squarks!

bye for now

Hi All ,

Lil X-men sorry to hear you had mastitis, I can only imagine how painful that must have been. Good to see things are going well in the feeding dept. now though.

TJ & Shellsbubs - Jadah used to power :barf: in our bed all the time, usually when i had just changed the sheets! Have been lucky so far with Nayte, he hasn't had any projectile's yet :fingerscrossed: it stays that way.

Does anyone else's little boys like to wee and/or poo when the nappie comes off during change time? Im forever catching flying poo!

Went to the Dr.'s for Nayte's checkup on Thurs last week and he's put on 660g since birth, Dr. commented that that is a fairly big weight gain so he must be feeding well, yeah, try just over hourly during the day!!!! I can't complain, he is sleeping through most of the night.

Woke up through the night to my little man snuffling, so i got the snot sucker outerer and he has yellow/green phelgm! He's got a head cold, i feel so bad cos there's not alot i can do. Jadah & I had a bit of it yesterday, it's really mild at least. Been taking Sodium ascorbate (Vit C) so that will at least go through the moo and help Nayte get better faster.

Hope everyone else is nice and healthy! This has been the crappiest winter ever (In terms of illness).

Lil X-men

MelJellybean - Hey there, our little man has a cold atm too, feel so bad for the little fullas huh.
I took him to the doc and he seems ok so long as he doesn't get any more fevers, ( he has run a temp the past two nights of 37.8), but it is hard as you cant do much for them, Zeke cant even have panadol yet he's too young.
Hope both our bubs are better soon :fingerscrossed: , sounds like your little man is doing well though with 660gms weight gain well done!!

TJ and Shelly- We had two power chucks last night all over me and himself and his blanket poor fulla!
None in bed last night though, was paranoid so had cloth nappies under him so he didnt get our sheets covered in spew.

Was trying to keep bubs in his basinette from birth but he is wanting cuddles all the time atm because he is sick so he wont sleep in it at night and has been co sleeping with us. DH hates it as he has to sleep way on the far side of the bed coz he is paranoid of squishing the little guy. Hopefully bubs will settle back in his basinette when he is feeling a bit better as I sleep better without him beside me too, I am almost sleeping with one eye open sometimes as to be sure bubs has plenty of room and doesn't have blankets over his face etc etc.

Well I hope everyone is well, and starting to catch up on some sleep, maybe!?!?
Still sleep deprived here, but having a sick bub doesnt help as he isnt as settled as usual and we have also had visitors since bubs was born so am a tired from entertaining, cooking and cleaning etc

 guys.

Well Shakyla has had 3 really good nights with her sleeping 9pm until 6am the first 2 nights and yesterday we didn't get home until midnight and she slept from 1am until 7am. I think that is great with bf as my other 2 never did that. I hope it stays that way. We have a secret though as we use johnson lavender and camomile bath wash and give her a really warm one right before she is ready to sleep again. So last night at midnight we gave her one at midnight:D

Shakyla is just adorable and I love how the kids interact with her. It's so wonderful being a mummy: My 2 have also seemed a little bit more well behaved but I have a feeling that may be due to the fact that there is one always on hand to correct them.

Actually the other day I sat to feed bubs and dh went out to move the cars and my 2 decided they would run amok well ds was throwing maccas chips all over the place and when I was screaming get on the chair he was grinning. He knew I was not going to be able to get him. Well I proved him WRONG I got up and the look on his face was so priceless. He jumped on the chair and I got right up to him and dd and told them that I can still move around and feed bubba!! DD sat there saying yes mummy:laughing: They then sat still for about 30mns just long enough for the feed to finish!!

So bubby has oral thrush and so that means I have it as well. The pain it brings I am completely in agony again. I am starting to dread the feed times. I was upset as this is the first I haven't grazed badly with and she had not done any damage. Now they are cracked and the pain in the back of the breast is like someone cutting my boobs off:gloomy: Got the medicine so hope that clears it all.

I love the photo album girls can't wait to see more pics. I hope your all coping well with bubs!!

Hi girls, its so good to see this thread start to move along. I hav'nt been on much because my sis was up from Sydney for a few days and yesterday her and mum flew back home  so now it's just the four of us! which is nice in a way! dh has started his holidays as of today so i still have help which is great. Ariane is doing well, she's starting to goo and gaaa and smile, its soooooo cooote!

OLT, i completely know what you mean about siblings interacting. both my girls were in our bed this morning and chloe was hugging ariane and wassaying "it's okay Awiane, big sister is here" :D Ariane was just staring at her! So cute!

Julz, hope your lil man gets better soon! Ariane has also been sleeping in our bed quite abit, she loves cuddling :D

TJ, yep am still around! Thanks for wondering if all was ok :hugs: poor Lachlan, as long as he doesn't throw up again and keeps feeding.

Well, there goes Ariane sqauking, off I go!

OLT- Christian had oral thrush too. It clear up pretty quickly but my nipples are still really sore! DS1 also choses to run amuck when I am feeding....he knows I cant get to him as quickly...they're smart lil ones aren't they!

Julz- I hope ur lil man is feeling better soon. Ive been co-sleeping part of the night too. Christian just loves to be close between his 2am feed and his 6am feed. I actually bought a nurse and glow pillow so I can see him when Im feeding then I know DF can't roll on him or even get too close.

Mel- My lil guy seems to wee or poo every time I take a nappy off. Ive established a way of getting the new nappy on the sliding the old one out so I don't get dirty! I'll never forget when DS1 shot poo across the room!

Sounds like everyones bubs are feeding and sleeping reletively well!
Christian feeds like a maniac and gives himself terrible wind. Poor thing! Aj has also bee na little naughty when Im feeding....he not only knows I cant get to him quick enough but I think he feels abit left out. Ive tried special toys while feeding and stuff but he still wants 100% attention.

Hi everyone, just popping in for a quick post, things have been really busy around here. DH and I just got married last week and now we are organising his visa so he doesnt get kicked out of the country lol! MIL finally leaves next monday, but she is back on the 24th Nov for another 2 months

Good news is that a family member of Dh's has offered to pay for mine, his and Hamish's flights over to the UK when we go in Dec 08, so thats nice of them.

Lil X - I know how you feel, I had mastitis too and I got it on my wedding night in a really bad way.. I put it down to wearing a tight fitting bra and dress for a few hours that day. I had a fever, chills everything and slept ALOT. Luckily I got on some antibiotics and that seemed to fix it in a couple of days. Im still trying to persevere with bf, but occasionally I am giving him formula to give myself a break. For the past 4 weeks I have felt like im a slave to the breast and it hasnt been enjoyable at all, but im not going to beat myself up about it (well actually I kinda already did!) so im not gonna beat myself up about it ANYMORE lol. I am just taking things day by day and if I have to switch to formula only then so be it.

Cmds mum - I saw the pics of Ariane in the pics thread and she is absolutely gorgeous! Both of your daughters are! Im pretty sure Hamish is starting to get his goos and gahs too, very exciting he is growing so fast.

OLT - Hope the thrush clears up quick for you both. I got Johnsons bedtime bath and bedtime lotion, is that the same sort of thing? Well made from the same thing? It worked for us one night, and hasnt since  he has gotten a lot better sleeping through the night though, a big feed prior to putting him down usually helps.

Mel - Yup im with you on the weeing/pooing when changing nappy deal. This is the exact reason why I get DH to change his nappies when I can  Hope Nayte feels better soon!

Shellsbubs - Hi! Hows everything going, hope you are well. I am worried now that due to Hamish mainly being held for most of his life that he will soon pick up on the fact that if left alone he will squawk! He doesnt seem to be too bad at night, im hoping its coz he realises its night time and because we are co sleeping he knows we are nearby.

TJ - Lachlan is so adorable! Hope everything is going well for you hun! Hamish does the whole power chuck at times too, what worries me most is that he will choke on it so whenever I hear ANYTHING that sounds like a vomit sound I quickly rush to check. Yup one very paranoid mum here :o

BM - I posted this finally in the announcement thread but I wanted to say again Congrats on your lil mans arrival! So glad you didnt have to be induced! Cant wait to see some piccies and read your birth story.

Everyone I have missed, sorry its not intentional! Hope you are all doing well and coping well with your new arrivals. Take care ladies!

Oh girls you are really good at the personals.

Valentine

Natalia congrats on your wedding and becoming a MRSValentine

YMS I think toddlers are very smart. My lil man grins like a cheeky monkey coz he knows he is being naughty. Thrush is the pits did you find anything helpful with the pain. I am using daktarin and dd is having nilstat. I love feeding her but the pain is just excruciating so I can't wait for it all to end and then I can gaze into her eyes instead of closing them when I get her on

cmd'smum have to agree with laine your lil girls are just gorgeous. I can't believe how much they are growing. Your dd1 sounds so cute the way she is with your lil one. How long is your dh home for?

I better get to bed dd1 is sick with a cold or something and has spent the last 2 nights talking all night in her sleep. I have popped her with me as I am still in her bed due to the pain I am in so my guess is I will get no sleep as she will be keeping me up with her dreams:yes:

Hi New Mummies,

I am excited to join in with you all here. So glad you are all doing well with your new babies.

I am doing o'kay, after two lots of Mastitis and a Toddler who had croup, things are going pretty well now. At least DD (new bubby) is doing well (I think).

How often are these newborns of ours meant to cry from wind pains? And for how long? Do they always get upset when they are doing a poo? Or is it just a phase?

I only ask because I only have the experience from my DS who was Colicky and had Reflux, so he cried most of the time during the day and ended up sleeping with me most nights upright on my chest. SO DD was doing so well, but now she's a little older she is obviously awake more and gets fussy quite a bit after feeds...I assume it's because my milk flow is way too fast and sprays out which causes her to gag and swallow too much air or something? Once she is settled though she sleeps for a good couple of hours at a time which is wonderful. Yes I am still breastfeeding after the mastitis, it hurt like nothing else yes, but somehow I made it through o'kay, so will soldier on. Just can't wait for the flow to settle down.

Sorry it's all about me, I don't get much time to write personals much anymore.....I will do soon though, I am so excited to see you all here and all coping so well.

Talk soon, Ange.

Ange it is good you got over the mastitis boy doesn't it hurt like hell. I got it with ds but so far I have been good with dd. At the moment it is all about us mums as we adjust to these lil people. Each one is different no matter how many children you have. Can I also suggest you use braurs colic relief as I have just started dd on it and it is natural and you can use it for under 1 mnths as well. DD also cries and grumps when trying to do #2 aand the wind upsets her as well. With the braurs it says to give 4 lots every half hour at first and then 4 hrly but last night I gave her just the one dose and she was passing the wind with no worries:thumbsup:

To everyone with sick bubbas or children I hope they get well soon. DD is really bad at the moment just really glazy and looks **** but doesn't have anything other than the cough.

The thrush is getting better but my boobs had cracked really bad and were really sore. So today I couldn't find my nipple shield that I had left from ds so I went down town and got some more. I wish I was more organised as with each bubs I have had to buy a new set and all 3 were born within 3 yrs so I can't blame it on the yrs in between. I tell you nipple shields are a god send:yes:

My dh has another 2 weeks and I am going to miss him so much. I have actually caught all the washing up and managed to do the main cleaning everyday without leaving anything for "later". Tea is getting done earlier and I just wish he didn't have to work. I love having all this time as family spending the nights chatting and fussing over bubs while the other 2 have all this time playing with us during the day.
I know I will be fine with the 3 when he goes back but not looking forward to those days when you need a spare set of hands

hi all

Sorry I haven't been here much lately, no doubt you all understand, it's a busy time!

Poor little Wynter has a cold, all she has done the last two days is sleep (during the day, and crying all night!), was not feeding well yesterday either, but better today. might take her to the Dr tomorrow just incase, i'm nervous cause she is still so new, although heffing up quite nicely, almost grown out of her 0000's now!

Anyone elses bubba been constipated yet? I had to give Wynter a supositary on the weekend, poor thing, she has been much more settled since though.

Sorry i don't have time to do personals, Wynter is crying so i must go calm her. Looks like another long night, I forgot how tired you get!

Kristyn congrats on your baby aliek!

Well dd has a cold and has a really nasty cough:( My other 2 never got sick infact they got sick when I finished bf. I hope this is just a quick bug and doesn't hit her like the other 2 or that my milk helps her get better quickly. Poor little thing

MissSparkle
16-08-2007, 11:33
Kristyn- COngrats on baby Aleik. Love the name!

OLT- DS 1 never got sick till I stopped BF either...:fingerscrossed: DS2 doesn't get sick. Has ur DD's oral thrush cleared up? DS's has but my nipples are still very red and sore. Been using Daktarin and it seems to be helping slowly.

MJ- Hope ur DD gets better soon. DS hasn't suffered constipation yet.....actually quite the opposite.

Monique- I hope all ur kids get better soon too. The flu seems to get going around with the littlies.

Boymum- DS seems to cry more in the late arvo from wind pains. A warm bath really seems to help and if its really bad u can buy wind drops suitable for newborns.

Everything here is going well (so far anyway). DS1 is coping really well and is very overly loving to his baby brother.
Christian is feeding well but often....Im worried that my supply isn't increasing because he always seems to be hungry and it doesnt take long to empty each boob....maybe he just drinks too fast. Hes had bad wind each arvo but a warm bath calms him down for the night and he's sleeping 4-5hour blocks through the night. I dont remember DS1 doing that till he was nearly 1! Still have nipple thrush but it's clearing up and Im just feeding thru the pain.
Off to get Christian weighed tomorrow...hopefully hes put on abit more weight and I can relax about my milk supply.

I just need somewhere to curl up and cry right now!! I just feel so awful cause all i seem to be doing lately is yelling at ds and telling him no :hair: cause he just continues to push the bounderies and i am running out of patience!! YMS I still have the cracked nipples but the nipple shield has made them heal very quickly and makes feeding a lot better.

Well I am also wanting to get bubs wieghed but the MCHN actually changed my monday appointment for next monday:banghead: so I went to the docs to get her wieghed for peace of mind but they don't have the scales. None of our chemists have them either.

Dh assures me she looks normal and I do this with every bubs which I must admit is true. She has great amounts of wet and dirty nappies. I think I am worried as she settles very well after a feed most the time and at night has really good stretches of no feeds like 6-9hrs and my other 2 never did that.

codysmum You need to not be so hard on yourself. I am sure this stage will end soon and you will be wondering what you worried about. I am the same when I yell at the kids I feel so bad.:hugs:

MissSparkle
17-08-2007, 14:51
Codys Mum- Big :hugs: :hugs: to u. Im feeling the same...like Im always yelling (or raising my voice) at DS. I think its just them settling in to having a baby in the house and making sure they still get attention....it must be hard to get 100% attention then all of a sudden having to share it. Try not to worry too much. Im sure Cody will settle down soon.

Well I have been assured I have plenty of milk. DS2 has gained 280gms in a week. EVeryone kept telling me he's proked up but of course I couldnt see it. He's sleeping alot better in the day now too and I can finally get things done.
My mum took DS1 to her house for dinner last night...it was so quiet without him but I kind of missed the noise after awhile...he made up for it during the night tho by not sleeping :hair:

Hey everyone!!
Gosh there are alot of sick kids around atm, it has been a really bad flu season this year. MY DS2 is getting better now thank goodness, still has a bit of phlegm and snot but is perking up though finally!

Shilo and Steph ouchies on the thrush that must be nasty, I havent had it but I know mastitis and BF hurts so I can imagine what you are going through good on ya for perservering!

Laine - Congrats on becoming a Mrs!! SOOO sorry to hear you got mastitis on your wedding night, that is so unfair you poor thing must have been awful.

Hi Kristyn, welcome back and congrats on little Aleik!

I am supplementing bubs feeds with formula as I was bottle feeding for a week when I had mastitis ( was actually planning on giving up the BF but after the mastitis got better and my supply settled down with the help of medication decided to give it another go).
I am trying to reduce his bottles of formula now and offer boob as much as possible, but I can feed for an hour on each side and he is still grizzly for more so I end up topping him up with formula.
I hope my supply isnt too low now, am not sure whether I should cut out the formula all together or not.
I did today, just gave boobie and BM in a bottle and he was screaming by the end of today:( I think he may be just used to the formula filling him up so much and not feeling satisfied with the BM, hope it gets better.

Ezekiel was 3.35kgs at his last weigh in on Monday
(at 2weeks old) so has put on 300gms since birth and has grown 2cms in length so he is doing pretty well.
He's still a very good bubba, still doesnt complain much at all and is so cuddly, loves bath time , but hates getting out of the bath !!
Bubs feeds so frequently though, even with bottles he wants to feed every two hours, including over night so I am not getting alot of sleep at all, am exhausted, happy but exhausted lol!!

Codysmummy - Sorry to hear your DS is being difficult, its hard when you are so tired too because your patience is running thinner than usual. I hope he settles down soon once he coemsto terms with the fact that this crying pooping machine that takes all mummies time is'nt leaving anytime soon lol!!
I have to say I have been surprised at how well my DS1 has coped, I was expecting all sorts of jealous behaviour but he has been very good and helping out alot with nappy changes etc. I was prepared for all out war so have been pleasantly surprised there!

Okies better go and get dinner served up!

Hope everyone is well, sorry to those i have missed but I have run of time again......:o

i have some news Tyran has been real socky latey i thought it was the flu but when he was smiling at me i found he had cut hes eye tooth witch it really out there i have never knowen a 5 1/2 week baby cut a tooth so early so hes cut hes first tooth clever baby.
well i hope all the July babies and mummies are well take care talk soon .

Wow Monique I didnt know babies got teeth so early either. DS didnt cut his first tooth till he was 9months! lol. Ur DS must be very clever!

Just a quick question...how do u know if ur bub is constipated? Christian has been very whingey and almost straining. He last did a poo yesterday morning so I know it hasn't been that long but he seems very unsettled. It could just be wind...Im really not sure.

Lil X-men
18-08-2007, 18:25
Steph, my bubs is the same today he has done one constipated poo, a tiny amount and is restless and straining the poor fulla. He is almost 100% on boobie juice now (only had one feed of formula in the past 24hours) so I am surprised at him being constipated, I would have thought the BM would be going right though him lol!
Christian is Breast fed isnt he? I would think if he hasn't done a poo in the past 24hours that maybe he is constipated, usually breastmilk poos are pretty regular in little bubs, but dont quote me on that, that's just from my experience.
CHN told me too put a teaspoon of brown sugar in some boiled water and give to bubs in a bottle to help get their bowels moving, I tried a week ago when I had bubby on formula only and it helped him do a poo within a few hours. Otherwise coloxyl drops do the same trick.

Monique OMG I cant believe your little man has cut a tooth alread thats amazing, what an early starter!! My DS1 also didn't cut his first tooth till 8months old Steph.
Am kinda hoping it's the same this time around as I am extremely nervous about BF'ing a baby with teeth ( have never done it, as DS1 was on formula by 3 months).

Ezekiel's cold is nearly gone now, just a tiny bit of a cough remains, hope everyone elses bubs are getting better too:fingerscrossed:

Hurro everyone I hope you can all get back on here soon, I miss you all!!

Hello Ladies!

Just thought I would pop on and see what is up with everyone. I see that there are not alot of us on here atm. All busy with our new bubs that is for sure.

Well Bailey is doing great atm other than a little bit of a snuffly nose like me. He was a bit constipated for about a week after we came home from hospital but we changed formula and now he is doing fine, even though he is only doing one poo a day which is at about 4 in the morning, lucky me gets to change him when i'm half asleep still lol. Can't believe he is a month old in 6 days it has gone so fast.

Monique can't believe your little one has gotten a tooth already. I have never heard of a baby that young getting teeth till now.

Steph I have even heard that if you rub there belly in a circular motion (clockwise direction) that it is supposed to help to get bubs bowels moving and give them a bit of relief. Don't know how much truth is in that.

Julie glad that Ezekiel is almost over his cold and that your mastitis is better and your able to BF again, hopefully you don't get it back again while your BF this time around and your able to keep it going.

Bryce is doing pretty good having a new baby brother. He has had a few bad moments. He was in a bad mood one time when we were coming home form in town and decided to reach over and give Bailey a couple of punches and he started to cry. But other than that he is always wanting to give him cuddles and help give Bailey his bottle. He is also not looking for attention to much as daddy is still at home after his last construction job finished up just before I had Bailey. I don't even want to think of what he is going to be like when it is just going to be me, him and Bailey at home. :fingerscrossed: he is not going to get into to much and running a muck.

Thanks for the tips. I'll try rubbing his belly and if that doesn't work I'll try some brown sugar in boiled water....not sure if he'll drink from a bottle as he's 100% breastfed and I havent even tried expressed milk in a bottle yet. Julie I thought bf babies were pretty regular too....up until now he has been.

Hi girls i couldnt belive he had cut a tooth as well it has blowen me away .
the way i knew if any of my babie were constipated was they had the same sign as wind but also they would push down hard and nothing would come out The twins were that bad that they bleed from the bum some time. but i found useing a bit of apple, prune juice would help but you have to water it down a bit

Omg Monique i cant believe Tryan has cut a tooth! What a clever little guy!! I hope your going well :)

Steph- I am having the same problem with aleik atm being constipated. He is 70% of the time breast fed and the rest of the time has formula and he just seems to be going through alot of discomfort when it comes to "poo time". I gave Aleik a bottle of boiled water and omg it helped heaps! If Christian is 100% breast fed and you wanted to try him on water etc and you dont think he will take a bottle try the back to basics range by tommee tippee... thats what i use and its just like a nipple :) I hope this helps :)

Julie- Thanks for the welcome

ok ... well my lil man Aleik is currently laying next to me having a little "tanty" trying to do a poo i think. He is growing up so fast and its just so crazy to think that he is over a mth old now.

I think he has a favourite teddy ALREADY lol its one of those dog things that you pull its tail and it plays a lullaby ... very cute and it seems to make him happy when i show him it and turn on the musicHORRAY!

He is having more "booby juice" lately which is great Not as many formula feeds but when it comes to 3am im pretty over being awake and feeding for 2 hrs lol so i usually get a bottle for that feed.

Oooo Bad news from dr about me. I have blood clots so im on blood thinners and have a full arm bandage it really isnt too good.

anyway i better go cos Aleik is trying to eat his hand lol ... mwah to all :)

I think I am jinxed or something coz bubs and I now have thrush too argggh!! So Shilo and Steph I feel your pain, my nipples are rather tender and bubs has it in his mouth.
Just noticed it this morning in on the roof of his mouth and had wondered why my nipples became so tender all of a sudden over the night. So we have the treatment I hope it clears up quick since we caught it early.

Kristyn 3hours is great!! My monster can do that in the day time, but wont sleep anywhere near that soundly at night unfortunately, he thinks night time is wake time!

Hi all, sorry I've been MIA for a while, very crazy around here the last few weeks with all 4 kids sick - inc Alex who ended up in hospital :gloomy: .

He was very snuffly for over a week but I didn't think much off it as he was very snuffly from birth. However things got bad quickly and he developed a cough and then his breathing became laboured. He also was feeding less and power chucking all of his milk up as he was coughing so hard. Took him to the GP on Tuesday and was told he has a virus and to put saline up his nose to clear it to help him breathe. The next day Alex was worse and by the afternoon we were in hospital. He was diagnosed with bronchialitis and we ended up staying 2 nights - he had oxygen and a nebuliser on the first night. He nearly went back on oxygen so many times over the next couple of days as his levels were dipping while he was in a deep sleep phase but he always came right. They were finally happy to send us home on the Friday afternoon. That night he chucked up 3 feeds in a row so at 5am I was throwing loads of washing into the machine and dryer getting ready for another hospital stint, but his feeds have been ok since. I give him lots of burps during his feeds and don't let him get too full so if he does have another coughing fit his diaphram doesn't bounce away on his tummy -which causes him to chuck. His discharge weight from hospital was 4.55kg (10lb) and he didn't lose any weight which was great.

Alex is 6 weeks old today and tomorrow we have all our 6 week check ups at the clinic & OB, then with the paediatrician on Wednesday.

Sorry for no personals right now. I'm still so completely buggered from sleeping in a chair at the hospital for 2 nights and not sleeping very soundly at home. I'll be back soon though xoxo.

Hi girls

Sorry to hear that lots of your bubs are sick  Julie, sorry you now have thrush, just when you get over your mastitus! You should be so proud of yourself for continuing to breastfeed!:yelclap: Hope you all feel better! How do you know if you have thrush? Is it obvious? I know I sound silly but just want to keep an eye out just incase I end up getting it!

Anna, you poor thing! Hope Alex and all of you make a very sdpeedy recovery. We also have the ob/paed 6 week check up this week.............wow, feels like it was yesterday we were all so over being pregnant!:)

We are doing well, Ariane is getting big, she's been in 000's for a week now, she's still an angel..........can't believe she's almost 6 weeks!!!

Hi all
Wow everyone seemed to have some spare minutes to get on yesterday:yelclap:

YMS If your bf 100% I am sure baby can't actually get constipated. Could it be wind? With bf babies they say that they can go days without having a bowel movement and this is normal. Not sure if you want to put a thread in the bf section as some of them would know..

Anna Far out your lil man has changed from his last pic in your avatar! I can't believe he was so sick, you must have been beside yourself.

mummy2207 I hope those blood clots clear very soon. If aliek is having probs with his poo get his legs and push them up while he is laying on a flat surface. Do this so it looks like he is riding a bike do that for a few minutes and it should help:thumbsup:

monique13 Congrats on the first tooth:yelclap: I know some babies that have been born with teeth:eek:!!

cmd'smum Thrush looks like they have just had a feed and there mouth has milk left over. When it gets really bad you can tell as it is still there for the next feed. Also you will get pain in your boobs. When it gets bad it is apprently a bit painful to bubs as well.

Julie I hope the thrush goes really quickly.

Well had a great day visiting all my family yesterday. My mum and dad are seperated and it makes it hard to travel and catch up with my parents and brothers all in the one day. I usually spend 30mns at each house but ended up having a good few hours at each plac:thumbsup: Went to 3 different towns and didn't get home until 12am but it was good for the kids to see the family.

DD2 is still sick but no temp or anything. DD also sleeps a lot Last night I fed her at 10.30pm and didn't wake for a feed until 9.30 this morning. She always goes at least 5 hrs everynight in the second half which is good as I don't mind staying up the first half.

Well I did take her to the 24hr clinic here at 1am this morning as I was getting worried about her cough and wanted to be sure it hadn't got in her lungs. Sure enough it hadn't. Dr said to keep the heater to 18-20degree's, I have it on 25-30 everynight and day:eek: How the heck am I going to adjust to the drop in temp like that???

Well I will be back later as dd has her check up supposer to be her 2week but they had to post pone me so she is 3 and a half weeks. I hope she is growing well, especially with all this sickness

Chenicimo- Im sorry to hear about Alex, i hope he is feeling alot better soon and has a speedy recovery :)

OLT- Thanks for the tip about pulling his legs up. Ive done this for a week now and it seems to get the gas out pretty good but he still seems to be having some problems getting it out if that makes any sense what so ever so i have been advised to give him infacol so off to the chemist i went this morning!

I hope everyone is going well in your family now OLT. Its scary when our little ones get sick isnt it, a cough is scary stuff :(

Anyways I have just gotten back from a walk to the shop and i am dead set on losing this baby weight and QUICK lol soooo im getting out and about as much as possible, nice day today so that made it more enjoyable. Chat to you all soon

 Lovely Ladies!

Yes Im still living even tho I feel like I have neglected the hub for a while. Life has been very hectic having my inlaws here til tomorrow and a newborn who thought he would feed 24 hours a day.

So heres my update: I had to give up breastfeeding. Well I guess many could say I failed but for me personally I feel like I did the right thing. For the first 9 days of his life I breast fed him and he screamed constantly. He was on the boob for 24 hours straight at for nearly that whole week I didnt sleep. DH was so great but he cant bf. The midwife came to weigh Jordan and he had not put on any weight, only 15 grams. Alarm bells rang that something wasnt right, if he was feeding for a solid 24 hours and not settling or putting on weight then something was wrong. I expressed some milk on advice of Lac Consultant and all that came out after an hour of expressing (and grazed bleeding boobs) was 25mls. Mind you this is one hour on both sides. So DH and I decided it best to give him formula and OMG he is a different bub. Happy, content and sleeping wonderfully. My poor little man was starving:crying: I guess I feel that I did the right thing, I tried and I so badly wanted to keep it up but not to the detriment of our baby boy. And to see him so happy after his bottle I felt like I actually got to bond better with him. I was seriously getting depressed as he never ever settled. As for drying up my milk well, I didnt really need to, I got a little bit of pain on the 2nd night and I thought wow maybe my milk is coming in and by morning pain gone and I felt back to normal. My boobs never filled up really:thumbsdown:

Anyways, I will be back online after tmro when I have lots more time as my inlaws head home.

Have missed you all lots and lots!

I promise to catch up on personals tomorrow too!

Luv to you all

BM You didn't fail you did the best you could!!

Lollydove is the white bit still there when you go to feed her again? If it is then that is thrush.

Well I had a cr@ppolla day yesterday after going to the mchn and being told to put bubby on formula for a while as she is not putting enough weight on. The thing is in the first week of birth she was up on her birth weight by 80gms and then this week being that she is sick she has dropped her feed back. So now has only put 80gms on and she is worried that my milk may have dried up. I can tell you she has had heaps of wet nappies and poops. So that is a good sign she is having what she needs. Anyway I got myself upset but now I am ok as I know she is sick and 3 docs have told me not to worry about the feeds as she is well hydrated and still on the graph.

So dd does seem like she is getting over the cough today:fingerscrossed:

Ohh... so sorry to read about all the sick mums and bubbas. Hope you all recover really soon.

My lil girl was 4 weeks yesterday. Time is flying by... She is such a little cutie and a good bub too. We are still managing to BF, but it isn't much fun. I have a good (.) and a bad (.) and I dread the feeds when it is bad boobs turn. DD is still in 0000 clothes. She is such a lil poo machine. I'm glad I haven't started her in cloth nappies!

:hugs: to those struggling with a toddler and NB. I can sooo relate to that!

Got to go... They have both just woken up!

Anna - Hope Isaac is coming along and feeling better soon.

OLT - same with you... and good luck with the temp drop. brrrrrr:snow:

BM- you are not a failure... you responsibility as a mother is to ensure your baby is fed, and if that means giving a bottle then so be it. You have done what you need to do to ensure he isnt going hungry!! :hugs:

Linda- wow 000's means your little girl is growing up.
Man it goes quickly huh.

ET- hope your bad boobie sorts its self out, and it stops hurting. Its not a nice feeling huh!!

Hello to everyone else

Hi girls

Sorry its taken me so long to get in here been having a tough time of it.

B/f is really giving me a hard time & im hoping that while im still perservering that things will get better. Least my nipples are a lot better & im not wanting to scream as soon as Squeak latches. Its just the supply issue i now need to get going & whats really depressing me the most.

Im really having a hard time adjusting to having a newborn with a toddler. All was fine & i guess i was still on a high from the birth but ive really hit the ground with a thud over the last few days. Last nite was the worst where i cried most of the afternoon & evening then actually hid downstairs while DP tried to settle Squeak for me. I just feel like im useless.

Well enough from me as im dragging my sorry butt in here & all im doing is whinging .... Gees im still acting like im pregnant !

Hope everyone else is well will try to read back over how everyone is doing.

Take care xxx

Ill try keep up now! Thank you to all that have written such nice messages to me supporting me and my decision to change to Formula. It was a hard decision but one that had to be made.

Firstly, I cant believe how quick it really all went, didnt seem fast at the time but looking back when we all had morning sickness LOL:D and then our growing tums. Time just flew by, now all our babes are here and were into a new chapter. I put Jordan in his rocker tonight and Bailey jumped up on the couch in his place and lay there like a baby. It brought back memories of how much he has grown in only 21 months. Scary really. Just goes to show, you need to make the most of every minute while they are tiny. Doesnt last long.

Mil and Fil flew back tonight so were back to reality now. My two boys are going great! Jordan is a great bub! Sleeping extermely well!!!! Altho he is quite windy now and we are giving him the brauers colic relief to try and ease that. Its around the same time each night that he is unsettled and trying to get burps is terrible. He is also a little constipated. I guess thats what happens with a quick change from exclusively bfing him then swapping to formula.

Julz- I read your story hun, my god I commend your efforts and persistance hun. Your doing a wonderful job bfing your son and I know it musnt be easy also having a toddler to contend with.

Anna- How is little Alex going now? Poor lil man. I hope all is on the mend now.

Monique- My af hasnt come yet but I only had Jordan 2 weeks ago so will wait and see on that one. With Bailey it came back after 6 weeks and was normal again. You poor thing, everything gets so overwhelming when a new bub comes and your whole life changes again. I hope all is back to normal for you now and your feeling better hun.

Allyoo- Good on you hun for persevering with the feeding. I was getting depressed so I understand how you feel hun. I think your doing wonderfully and I think its hard to persevere with a toddler and a newborn. I know that when I was bfing it was 24/7 and prior to me knowing it was coz I had no milk I was worrying how I would do it when DH couldnt mind Bailey. DH goes back to work next week and Im terrified. Im lucky my mum lives around the corner and I know she will help me a great deal. You have your mum and sister close dont you?

TJ- Great to hear how well little Lochie is going!!! I wanna see the new piccies! Thanks for you support on the FF thing, it means alot babe xox

ETs mum- Hun, on your bad boob have you tried using a nipple shield for some extra comfort? Just short term. Im assuming that your pain is caused by grazing or cracked nipple. I didnt use the shields but I know your pain, my left nipple was a mess. Its only started to heal now and Im using lansinoh on it. Good effort on your part tho, your doing a great job!

OLT- Thanks for your support hun. Much appreciated. As for CHN saying she hasnt put on enough weight, thats crazy. If she is on the graph then its all good. With Jordan in his first week he had only put on 15 gms but was still around 350gms below birth weight, I think that was our cause for concern but with Shakyla being 80gms up on birth weight, thats fantastic and also only putting on 80 during sickness is still a gain, thats good too. As you say her nappies indicate a healthy bub. Stick with it hun, you know what your doing and you know your bub is well.

Welcome Kee Kee and Congrats on your baby girl!!! What is her name??

Joy- GReat to hear Aysha is doing so well! Sorry to hear you had the flu, its a nasty one going around too.

Lollydove- Thanks for the baby whisperer info, as I said in our sms the other night, even tho Jordy is such a good sleeper I still wanna go as I think it will be very interesting. Ill have a think about it and speak with DH. Talk to you about it soon. Perhaps we could go together.

Anyways beautifuls, its great to sit down and catch up and I will be online more often now!

Luv you all lots and Im so happy to have shared pregnancy with you all and cant wait to share the first few years memories with you too!:hugs:

Lolly & BM - im also interested in going to the Baby Whisper tour thingy.
Let me know if you are still interested and maybe the 3 of us can meet up and then grab a coffee or something afterwards??

Monique - well i thought i got AF back on Monday, however there was nothing monday night, nothing yesterday, and nothing again this morning.
So its a bit odd that i had a spurt of bleeding out of no where!!!!

I Took Lochie for a photo session yesterday. I volunteered him for a photography student who needed a newborn for an assignment. She was taking Anne Geddes style photos. OMG they were gorgeous.
Im not sure how long its going to take her to get them back. Actually i think i might have already said this in my post yesterday.... Sorry if i did... i cant remember and having issues functioning on lack of sleep

My dh is back to work on Monday and I can tell you I am a little nervous but as usual a bit excited. I get to have my kids and be in charge again, lol. Love hubby being home though I sometimes wish we were so rich he could stay at home but then again a lifetime might drive me nuts, lol.

hi all, i was so worried that jayda wasnt getting enough milk from me and we just had her weighed and she's now 5.6kgs so she's put on 2.1kgs since birth over 6 weeks. im not sure if thats good, bad, normal, excessive or what so ill ask the dr when we have our 6 week checkup on friday but in the meantime does anyone know what they should be putting on each week roughly or if this sounds normal? i think she's having a growth spurt again too because in her 2nd week of life she was eating every half hour and when the dr weighed her she had put on 800grams since we left hospital (so that was in 10 days! ) and i think it was an early growth spurt, and now since yesterday she's been doing it again. i thought she couldnt possibly still be hungry after feeding her for 2 hours (20 mins at a time, burp, ten min rest then wants back on etc) but she kept crying and i was drained so i gave her a bottle and she drank the full 140mls, then half an hour later still did the 'neh' hungry cry and sure enough went back on me for another 20 mins, then an hour later still the 'neh' cry so gave her ANOTHER bottle and she drank 120mls... i mean wholly molly come on child! she has now earned the nickname "porky". fingers crossed now she sleeps for at least 4 hours and lets me refill :fingerscrossed:

Lolly not sure how much is normal. Sounds like a great amount. I cant get dd weighed anywhere but at the mchn. I asked the docs and they don't have the scales for bubs:thumbsdown: Also I noticed you know the sounds for what bubs wants e.g "neh" I can't remember them but would love it if you could let me know them. I go by instincts where my hubby finds it hard to distinguish and I have problems knowing for wind as well.

neh - hungry (their tongue will touch the roof of their mouth to make the "neh" sound, listen for the 'n' paticularly)
eh- burp me
owh- tired, help me to sleep (their mouth makes an 'O' shape, sounds bit like a yawn in a cry)

they're the three main ones, the other two i dont really hear much at all but they are

heh - uncomfortable (too hot or cold, wet nappy, change position etc)
eairh- lower wind, use massage and colic holds to remove air bubbles

hope that helps :D

We have the list of 'baby cry meanings' & i still cant figure Squeak out :o

I cant remember how long it took me with Boof but im sure i had it by now !!!! Oh wells i will get it soon enough im sure !

Still having feeding dramas  Least it doesnt hurt now just hope we can keep going ! Whats more annoying is that i cant reply to the thread i started the other nite gggrrrrrr !

Boof has also decided to start playing up but thats to be expected i suppose ... Its just driving me mental at times especially being that the last few days ive been extremely exhausted !

Other than that all is fine, Squeak is just gorgeous i just want to spend the whole day kissing him lol.

Lolly it sounds like Jayda is doing really well i wouldnt worry !

OLT it must feel overwhelming knowing your hubby is going back to work & you will be alone with 3 but try not to stress im sure all will be fine just remember if things cant get done then tough luck !

TJ - Would love to see the piccies when you get them !

BM - I know what you mean about seeing the time slip away ! DP & i have totally freaked out since bringing Squeak home cause we always knew Boof was a bigger boy but wow its really hit home now. That & seeing that he is a real little boy now. My mum & sister are about 40mins away via car but we dont have one so i can train it which takes about an hour n a bit. They try to come around as much as possible to help out but its usually every few weeks that we seem them. Its nice & i am lucky compared to many thats for sure !

Anyways i had best get organised it will be feeding time again soon !

WOW We had a hell of a night... DD was up all night and I was feeding every 1hr as I refused anything less, I don't want sore nipples today. We were so confused on whether she was hungry or colicky as I suspect. So I was on the internet searching cluster feeds etc. Still left me confused so decided she was hungry. So I am unsure whether I made matters worse by feeding her.

Anyway she finally went to sleep at 6am and I am scared to wake her but would rather get my supply up if thats what it is during the day, not the night.

I shouldn't really complain as this is the first night she has played up all night. Usually she finally goes down at 1am and sleeps until 6-7am.

Ally.
I have been meaning to pm you and then I forget:rolleyes: Please don't be hard on yourself your doing a great job and I know how you must feel with trying to feed and also trying to recover from labour. In a few months you will be looking back thinking what was I worried about. PM if you need any one to chat with:hugs:

lolly
I am going to print the sounds and hope it helps us distinguish it tonight.

Hi Lovely Ladies!!

Help me please!!!

What is mastitis, how do you know if you've got it (prob a stupid Q), and what should you do if you've got it?

I know I can look it up on the net, but I feel so yuck - my whole body aches esp bad boob, I can't sit here any longer. I just need to crawl back to the lounge and curl up for a while. :( I might just be run down... I'm on my own again for a week :hair: Be back soon... thanks.

our little treasures
23-08-2007, 14:15
I think that sounds like mastitis. Do you feel like you have a bad flu as that is when you get a really bad dose of mastitis. Maybe go to the gp and see.

TJ
23-08-2007, 14:48
Et - cant help with mastitis im sorry.
But sore and lumpy boobs is one of the more common signs.

OLT - how old is your bubba now??
I went through EXACTLY the same thing with L when he was 2 weeks old, give or take a day.
The CHN said its normal to cluster feed around the 2,6 & 12 week marks. I only wish i knew that BEFORE the 2 week mark.
I have also found that if L has a pain that i cant seem to get rid of he also mimicks the same hungry cues... even tho he actually isnt.
I read somewhere that they will feed if they have a pain as it suppresses it... so maybe try to bring the wind up for a bit longer or try different methods if you find she continually wants to feed.

Lolly - Jadya must be going through another spurt if she is feeding that much - see above to what i said to OLT about when they occur.
The CHN also said that a "healthy" weigh gain is between 150-170g per week. However L gained 800g in 2 weeks, and she wasnt concerned, and he is still only in the 25% range.
If you let me know how old she is and what the weights were i can look it up in the charts... actually you should have a red health book from when she was born look in there, if she is following the curve thats already marked out i wouldnt be tooo worried.

Ally - Hope Boof starts to behave for you chicky, and that you can get the feeding sorted out.
It certainly isnt as easy as i once thought... i always thought it was a natural thing... how wrong was i.

CMD - big hugs for you, hope you are doing well babe :hugs:

Not much else to report on my end, however today and for the last 2 days about this time L just wants to be held. Not hungry, not wet, not in pain, just wants cuddles. So i have had him in the sling so i can get things done. Ot starts to kill my back after a few hours, but i might try and sneak him out of it once i know he is well and truely asleep... heres hoping he stays that way huh!!!

Gotta love the little buggas even tho, they break our sleep & cause us confusion coz we dont know what they want... love the little things.

ET's mum- It does sound like mastitis. Ive never actually had it but my mum described it as a totl achey body, general tiredness and sore, lumpy boobs...sometimes red where the blockage is. Try and get to the GP before it gets worse.

TJ- I have the same probs with bub wanting cuddles all day. Ive tried to avoid the sling as once he's in it he doesnt want to get out! i end up with the bouncer attached to my foot so I can rock him gently. Seems to do the trick.

OLT- Hope ur not too tired after ur long night! I also had to Cluster feed Christian around the 3rd week. Hope it doesnt last too long!

Ally- Im experiencing the exact same problem with Aj. By night i feel totally insane......like u said it was to be expected.
I hope the feeding gets easier for u too.

Lolly- Jayda sounds like shes doing really well. Better that shes getting plenty as opposed to not enough.

Well all id going well here besides my sanity! Took DS to the Dr's this morning...he has some scar tissue on his belly button, nothing major and it should be gone in the next few weeks. He also has a blocked tear duct so one of his eyes was really glassy. Besides that hes doing well. Abit unsettled in the arvo but I think its just built up wind and he settles back down early evening.
Aj has been driving me mental still. Screeching and squealing around Christian and even trying to hit him at times. Ive been trying to give him plenty of attention but I want him to understand he does have to share mummy sometimes.
I had been feelin bit down about my post preg body but I jumped on the scales and since Christian was born Ive been losing a good 2kg a week. I gotta be happy with that. Not much to go and I'll be back to normal.
I just realised this is one of the longest posts Ive written in 4ever!

Oh dont worry Steph im delirious most of the time. Last nite DP & i were both so tired that we kept laughing over the stupidest things & couldnt even hold a conversation as we were so out of it lol !

Lets hope our lo's dont have reflux :fingerscrossed: He just spewed over himself yet again a few moments ago so changed him yet again. Its so hard to know whether its reflux or not so a trip to the doctor seems in order !

I actually was washing Squeaks eyes due to blocked tear ducts with saline which was clearing it up but then figured meh boobie juice will be better so put that to use. That seems to have made them worse go figure ! Back to the saline for us !

TJ - Yeah they love to be held ! Squeak isnt as bad as Boof was as he refused to be put down but he still loves being carried around thats for sure !

ET's mum - Sounds like mastitis its generally the lumpy boobs associated with flu like symptoms. Poor bugger :hugs: Use a hot pack before you feed then a cold pack after to help it settle but get yourself to the doctor & get started on some meds before you get too bad.

OLT - Its ok ive been meaning to message heaps of people too i just forget ! Ive dealt with the aftermath of labour a lot better this time around but boy oh boy i forgot how the stitches & bruising hurt like hell ! Which makes it hard trying to deal with a very over excited toddler lol. Hope you are feeling better now too.

As the mastitis magnet of the July thread, I'd definately say you are experiencing the beginnings of mastitis there ETsmum, get to bed and go the doctor in the morning better safe than sorry with that because it can get really nasty, really quickly if not treated!
No more mastitis here thank goodness my milk seems settled down nicely now, it's such a great feeling to actually be succeeding with BF for the first time ever, touch wood:fingerscrossed: .
Still have the thrush clearing up, but meh it's not that bad. Just have tender nipplies!!

Lollydove - Would definately like to go the baby whisperer thing next month, what session were you guys thinking of going to??

Hi mummies!

TJ, was wondering where you had gotten too! I didn't see your last two posts:o Glad you're doing well hun, it's all come so naturally to you, you should have 5 more kids :p Can't wait to the piccies of your gorgeous little boy!

LD, thanks heaps for that list, will give it a go! Although, *knock on wood* Ariane rarely cries, just for a feed really! We have been very very lucky this time round!

ETsmum, hope you're feeling better soon sweety!

All is well here, Ariane is doing great, she feeds, then we play and most of the time, I put her down and she will go to sleep on her own! So far, she doesnt seem to have colic and sleeps in the evenings, unlike chloe who used to cry and be very unsettled all evening! She sleeps through the night till 6am, has a feed then we go to sleep till 10ish :o She had her 6 week check up yesterday and the nurse was very happy with her feeding and A did a HOOGE poop and the nurse said, yep, her poo is perfect and looks what it should look like for a bf baby! She also says that recent studies have shown that babies cluster feed at night because during the day they get most of the foremilk so at the end of the day, most of the hindmilk is left and they try to get all of that as it contaqins all the fat?? Interesting! We also watched A's birth video today and I had a little cry. She was sooooooo beautiful! She has grown so much since then and it wasn't even that long ago! It made me sad watching that as I won't be going through it again! Anyway, my milk has rolled in for another feed, better go and feed the booby monster!:D

Love you's all.

oh, LD, one more thing, you know the "eairh" cry? How would they pronounce the "eairh" sound, how would you say it IYKWIM?

lol, good question. dh gave the dvd to a dr client to watch before i got to watch part two which had the last two cries, but i think it sounds like "air", the "eh" ones are much shorter and choppy i think.

hey question for you cmd's mum, (you are very lucky btw, dd1 was just like arianne too but dd2 is another story all together, lil sooky porker, ) you know how you said the dr said her poos were perfect, what are hers like? cause jayda's are completely liquid just like a pee but curry coloured (ewww i described that really gross didnt i?! sorry everyone!!). i tell you though its the easiest ever to clean because it all just soaks into her nappy like her pee and her little bottom is all dry

cmd'smum
23-08-2007, 21:08
Ariane's poos are like grainy mustard. Basically mustard colour with grains in it :barf: The nurse said that that is the fat from the hind milk. Our CHN is great, very encouraging and reassuring, unlike others I've heard of !!

Araine's poos were like Jayda's for a couple of weeks, that yellowish colour but watery and yes they used to sink into the nappy! Only recently has it turned grainy! If you are worried maybe ask your CHN, but she sounds like she is doing great! Her poos should go grainy any time soon! HTH!:hugs: :hugs:

Yep its like an AIR sound... i get it alot with Lochie.

LD - Lochie does sometimes have poos like you described, alot of the time they are more the mustardy grainy ones.
But you are right the greeny liquid ones are super easy to clean!!
I wouldnt worry toooo much!

Julie - hope you got some sleep!

ET - hope you boobies are settleing

Hi ya,

I am soooo sorry haven't been here for a while....busy, busy, busy with my two.

DD is 6 weeks old tomorrow, wow, time has passed so quickly. She is sick with a cold too, very snuffly and vomiting up pretty badly at every feed. I am still breastfeeding after two lots of Matitis, however I do need to feed her formula at the moment every second feed so that she keeps down some fluids so as not to dehydrate from throwing up Breast Milk. I am expressing in between, fun, fun.

ET's Mum, the Mastitis was awful, came on overnight for me, woke up with a temperature of 39.8 degrees and flu symptoms...had to take Antibiotics for two weeks as it came back after first lot finished. Hope you are o'kay today.

Sorry no personals really, too much happening here.

Just wanted to let you know I am still about and will pop in again soon as I get a chance. You are all doing so well I am really pleased to read what you are all up to and what great Mummy's you all make.

Bailey's Mummy, big hug to you mate...sorry to hear about your breastfeeding prob, you are doing the right thing though :)

Hugs to you all.

hello Ladies!!!!

Things have been pretty crazy here over the past week.....Bailey, Bryce and I came down with a cold and Bailey is the worst of all bless him, Went in for checkup at 4 weeks and the doc said that his lungs were a bit rattley and to bring him back in 2 days to have another listen (that was yesterday). Were a little better but she asked if we wanted to see if he could get over it himself or be safe and put him on some antibiotics. We took the safe option as it is the weekend now and if he got worse then we would have to take him to the hospital and could be waiting there for hours to see someone and with all the kids and elderly that have gotten really bad this year and it being said the deaths would be higher from the flus that are around we also did not want to chance it for this reason. Bryce is also having to have drops put in his ears to clear out some of the wax as he has an oversupply of it and the doc said you can't even see the eardrum. So he is on that for at least 4 days to ge that cleared out. Everything seems to have happened all at once. Even the dog has ear drops and we had to take him in for his boosters last week and he also goes in on Monday to get desexed and blood tests to test for heartworm (have to be tested when there over 6 months old as they will die if you give them the heartworm tablets and they have heartworm) so he can start on heartworm tablets.

Anyhow hubby is doing an induction for a new job today and will be starting back at work on Tuesday next week so I am anxious on how Bryce is going to be for me with Bailey taking up alot of my time with his feeding and such and Bryce not having anyone else around to do stuff for him when I am busy. DH has been home since I had Bailey so Bryce has always had someone else to do things for him while i have Bailey.

Took Bailey to 4 week checkup on Wednesday and his length went fro 50.5 at birth to 54.5, Head circ from 36 to 38.5 and his weight from 3920 gms to 4750 gms. I thought his weight should have been a bit higher and with all the feeding he does and the size of his feeds he would have been putting on the weight a lot fast er than that but I guess that if he is putting on weight at all then he is doing fine.

No time to do personals have read through the posts though and hope all the sick bubbas and mums are getting better and coping much better now.

Anyhow gotta go and get some stuff done around the house while Bailey is sleping still. take care ladies and be back soon. Should be on a bit more now hubby is going back to work don't like sitting on computer when he is home as it is family time. Everyone knows we don't have much of that when hubbys ar off working all week.

Bye Bye.

How did your night out go Monique?

Well we have had a few shocking nights. Shakyla feeds all day 3-4 hourly and is so content but at night she was feeding every 20-30mns and that was only because I handed her to dh and said take her I need a rest. This went from 9pm-5am and she just screamed and screamed when not on the breast. So we got ready for it last night and she went to 2hrly feeds (sat at each boob for 30mns though) and went down fully at around 3.30 and didn't wake until 8.30am. In between feeds she was content and back to her old calm self. Even changing her bum was great no crying just her looking around:)

So we hope that was the end of her cluster feeds.... However I slightly doubt it.

Well dh is going back to work tomorrow and I am going to miss him:( However I am a bit excited waiting to see how I manage the 3.

I am buying locks for the 2 doors to the kitchen area today. This way I can lock them while I feed shakyla and the kids can play in the lounge and playroom. If dd needs the toilet she can use the one in our toilet. I just don't want them into everything or fighting where I can't see them.

Well I have to go as I have a lot of washing to catch up on and the kids have a party to go to.

GIRLS WHERE ARE YOU ALL!! Is this what it will be like tomorrow when dh is at work. No time for bubhub eeeeeeekkkkk

Just popping in to tell you all something funny that I keep forgetting to share.

My lil girl was laying in her bouncer and I was in the other room hanging washing next minute dh comes into the kitchen. Next second dd1 screams I tell dh to go check while yelling at dd for screaming. Anyway DH walks around the corner to find DS WALKING ACROSS THE ROOM WITH Shakyla IN HIS ARMS HANGING HER AROUND HER NECK:eek: DH yelled and DS calmly put her on the couch like she was a dolly. I am so glad he didn't drop her when dh caught him.. Now it is so funny but god it wasn't that day..

Hey girls!!

Life is just so busy with a newborn and a toddler! DH went back to work today and I was so so nervous but so far its going wonderfully. I went out to the shops with my two boys and I made it back in one piece with no tears from any of us!!!

OLT- Im laughing at your story but how scary that must have been. I feel for you as we have the same problem here. Bailey loves Jordan so much that he doesnt leave him alone. Kissing him and even trying to puck him up by the head!!! Its beautiful to watch but you really do have to WATCH his every move!

Bailey has grown up so much now, its amazing. Its like he went from baby to little boy overnight when Jordan came home. He gets me nappies and TV remote when Im feeding LOL!

DH was fabulous while home, Im really gonna miss him alot.

Boymum- Good to see you and your family are going well! Thanks for your support on the bfing, Im actually enjoying FF now, Im bonding more now than in the first 10 days of him screaming. Its nice now!

Monique- Tyran is adorable, I saw his pics in the album. And his sisters are just precious too! What a beaut family!

cmds mum- Great to hear Ariane is going so well and sleeping well for you! Definately a bonus when you have a toddler to care for aswell!

Lollydove- Candy hun, Im keen to catch up for coffee after the seminar. Im still deciding what to do there as Jordan sleeps and settles pretty well. Ill let u know! If I dont come along then still we could arrange a Brisbane July mums meet. What do you think? Im on the north end of the coast so if we could make it somewhere mid Brissy that would be great!

Ok I should go do some cleaning while my boys are sleeping!

Take care girls and bubs:hugs:

Hi July mummies!

Seems alot quieter on here now and I often finding myself come on,read all the posts but not get around to posting myself.

Monique- My lil man has done the samething most days where he'll only sleep 15-25mins at a time then is way over tired. I thought it may have been wind giving him tummy pains when lying down?

Shell- It must suck having ur parents live further away. Its nice they got to spend some time with u tho.

Leanne- Hope all went well n ur first day alone with the boys. I was a little freaked out when DF first went bak to work...stillhave some VERY stressful days!

OLT- OMG! it must've been a huge shock to c ur DS carrying ur DD!!!

Well all his well here. Christian is still very unsettled tho feeds which means hes gulping heaps of air.

Hi girls well I had shakyla weighed at her check up yesterday and she had only put 10 gms on in 3 days so I had to go back today. Well over night she had put 50gms on. I am so happy as last night I spent from 2pm til 2.30 am with an unsettled baby who wanted to feed 20-30mns with hr at a time feeds.

Also bubba is rolling. A few mornings I have woke to find her on her tummy from her side. This arvo I put her on the couch and watched her roll from back to side and then to tummy....:)

YMS how exciting not long until your wedding....

Monique Good on you for having some time out. I couldn't even think of leaving dd2 yet but I don't get my other 2 looked after unless I really have to. I guess I am the one with seperation anxiety..

shellsbub, Lucky you having extra help for a little while. My mum is great with the kids but lives an hr and and a half so I don't see her often.

bm Oh the joys of having a toddler and baby is very full on! I find it difficult at nap time as ds still has me lay with him (which gives me our time together where we can cuddle and chat) but thats when dd2 wants to cry or feed or wants a cuddle. So yesterday I lay in the bed feeding bubs while cuddling ds over the top of bubs. Today dh came home for lunch and he held bubs and I had that time to put ds to sleep..

Well I am off to look at ebay, I have bubs asleep on my lap hanging of my boob, dd1 is painting and ds is asleep so this is what I call my time (as close as it ever gets).. :D

Hmm getting frustrated with this one hande typing thing lol!!
Hi everyone still here and doing well, bubs is fully off the formula feeds now and 100% bf now which is good barr my nipples being a bit ouchy, I think I still have touch if thrush which is causing the tenderness.

Bubs is now 3.8kgs at 4weeks old and has gained 450gms in 2 weeks so am really happy to know he is obviosly getting enough to eat yay!! He's covered in milk spots atm though so hopefully they clear up before our photo shoot next week:fingerscrossed:
He sleeps for hours through the day and feeds approx every three hours give or take. Sleeps well at night too 2-3 hours at a time, still kills me though and I am so run down with a cold because of the sleep deprivation.

OMG Shilo that mus have given you a fright when DS picked up bubs:eek: Lukily my DS hasnt tried anythin like that, yet!

!

Shells - Sorry about your folks leaving, it's hard saying goodbye, I miss my mum. In saying that it is nice having the house back to ourselves again ,so we can establish a normal routine again.

Steph sorry to hear Christian is unsettled, I hope he is sleeping ok so you arent getting too tired, I remember DS1 was really colicy and I didnt five minutes break with him in those first 2 months until it settled down. How exciting planning your wedding , wish I could it all over again it's so much fun!
Hi BM, I'm glad the shops went well, we have been out few times now too, the phil and ted pram has been great for carting the two boys around
It sure is busy with two now isnt, it's a whole new learning curve trying to figure out thr most time efeective routine for getting our butts out of the house in the mornings.
DS1 Has started daycare one day a week, he LOVES it, he's very independant and social so didn't even notice me when I was gone  :crying: so I get one day a week where I can chill out bit with bubs and cruise around the shops if I feel like it, it's great for all of us really, and I look forward to picking up DS at the end of the day, we appreciate each other more I reckon.

Monique wow Tyran is doing well by the sounds of things 11lbs!!! He must get so much attention from all the girls in your house hold lol!!!
Good on you for having a girls night, I will get one soon too hopefully as our playgroup does mums night out every term.

Lolly hope you are doing well, sounds like your wee girl is packing on the pounds thats great, it's nice to know we are giving them what thry need and then some aye lol!! Still up for this baby whisperer thing guys?
Would love to catch up with all you Brissy girls so our bubs can play hehe, TJ, BM and anyone else from the region are you up for it?

We are still struggling here :banghead: Squeak still gets a comp bottle every so often which is 'bad' but i cant see how else to do it especially when i cant express much half the time ! He still tries to bite so i have to be on my guard all the time its very frustrating. He doesnt take much of the comp bottle only 40mls but that is also frustrating me because i cant understand why he just wont stay latched on the boob its doing my head in ! He stays on for 30mins which is awesome but then starts fussing so i burp & he then starts rooting for more so i pop him back on to which he starts fussing so i then try him on the other side which he takes for 10mins then refuses it but cries in hunger ... As i said doing my head in !

Wow Shilo that must've been an awful scare ! Boof gets excited & tries to calm Squeak down when he cries so we have been trying to explain how he can put the dummy back in but thats it cause i often find him trying to pull blankets over Squeaks head ! Wow rolling already !!! Lucky you hehehe !

Toni hope you guys are feeling better now it must be horrible !

Steph im hoping AJ has settled a bit more since we last spoke it certainly can be a hard transition for them ! Boof has his moments thats for sure ! Hope Christian is settling better for you. Cant wait to hear more about your wedding plans !

Ok cant do anymore personals atm sorry Squeak has decided he wants me to hold him till he goes to sleep hehe.

Hope everyone is well !

Sorry I missed you Ally hi:wave: sorry you are having BF issues, I know it is hard isnt it. I was very lucky that I managed to get my supply at the right level whislt weaning him back off the formula, but I had an oversupply after having bubs and new I wasnt going to have a prob there, not sure what you can do, have you spoken to an LC at all?? I hope you can work through it hun and dont feel bad for comp feeding you just have to do what works for you and bubs, especially when you are tired and need some sleep ( I know formula was tempting in the middle of the night when bubs was unsettled and I was like a zombie!)hugs to you anyway and I hope things work out !

TJ, Lolly and BM, guess what ? I just went to the website for the baby whisperer and they dont have tickets available anymore so I guess they are sold out  :crying: bummed big time. I can still meet you guys afterward though and maybe you can all debrief me on the main details of it.
I have read half of the book so kinda have an idea of what it's all about already.
Can you PM me what time you are going and when it finishes and I'll meet ya'll there. Man wish I had got myself organised and booked tickets sooner grrrrr:banghead:

How long are your bubs feeding each side?? I can't remember when their feeds start getting quicker.

Ally - hope you can get things sussed out shortly.
I can imagine how frustrated you must be feeling, combine that with lack of sleep and grrr:hair:

Julie - i have sent you a PM. Sux about the bloody tickets tho!!!

OLT- Lochie normally takes 5-10 mins each side.
Occasionally 15 mins (not very often, and if thats the case, its definitly only 5 on the other)

Lochie is definitly having the 6 week growth spurt atm... he is feeding like crazy, and certainly isnt sleeping much during the day. Just wants his mumma. Its lovely to have cuddles but at the same time it sux trying to get things done. I just have to tell my self that the washing will still be there tomorrow. And soo what if im not cooking dinner until 8.00pm....

Do any of you know at what age they are meant to double their birth weight? A gf and i were talking about it yesterday and neither of us were sure and im just curious!!

Hey Steph, Shells, Monique and Linda... hope you gals and your bubbas are doing well  :hugs:

Thanks guys :hugs:

I cant afford to see a LC we just dont have the spare money especially when the 4 days DP did take off to spend with us after the 3 days off for labour meant we lost pay !

I do have one that ive contacted via email that a friend gave me the details of & she has been lovely but can only do so much that way. We are trying a few different ideas due to thinking Squeak may have reflux also which is adding to it all !

The fenugreek is finally starting to kick in maxalon did diddly squat ! Ive been watching what im eating incase he has an allergy or doesnt like something but nope no issue there.

Aaaah the joys of it all !

Oooook he has woken up better run !

Hello Ladies!

Well I took Bailey back to the doctors yesterday for the check up after he got sick. She said he is doing much better now and his lungs have cleared but to keep him going for the next couple of days on the antibiotics still and then stop.

Monique - Tyran is doing great by the sounds of it. Glad you had a great night out with the girls.

OLT - It's scary when the bubs get picked up by the little ones ain't it. Bryce did that a couple of weeks ago. I had Bailey on the mat on the floor in the lounge and Bryce was sitting down watching TV while DH and I were sitting at the computers. I looked over and Bryce was in the process of carry Bailey around onto his little fold up lounge so that they were lying together. Wow I can't believe Shakyla is rolling already, guess it won't be long and you will be chasing her around the house crawling lol. Has bub stopped with the cluster feeding? Bailey seems to be going through it already. He was feeding about every 4 hours during the day and night now he is doing 4 hours at night and wanting to be fed about every 2 hours during the day and drinks about 150 mls each feed and he is only 5 weeks old.

Baileys mummy - My DH has just gone back to work as well and I was wondering how I was going to cope with the 2 boys but so far Bryce is doing pretty good and was also not as bad as I thought it would be going into town with the both of them.

Shell - Extra hands are good. I get some help with the girls as there older and some from DH but he is back at work now so won't be getting to much of that no more.

Steph - I'm the same. Always get the posts read and then something comes up and got to go. Hope everything is going well with organising your wedding.

Julie - Ain't it great with the one handed typing.....NOT! lol. Glad your bub is fully off formula as you wanted and things are going great for you now. Hope the nipples fully clear up for you soon. I remember Bryce putting on the weight a lot faster than Bailey has thanks for telling me he’s gained sufficient weight over the last month.

Ally - Don't be to hard on yourself for having to comp feed bubs with a little formula at feeds. Do whatever makes him happy. Keep trying with the ideas from LC via email it’s the only thing you can do to try and get things sorted the best way.

TJ - It is hard when all bub wants to do is feed and cuddle all day. Bailey is wanting food every 2 hours atm. I have been getting the washing and stuff done in between feeds while he is sleeping and getting these personals done as I have not done any in a while.

Well hello to anyone I have missed and hope all the mums and bubs are doing well and getting better if there sick. Take Care all. :hugs:

Well Ezekiel is still feeding at least 20mins each side but he is only 4weeks old so maybe it will get shorter ?!?! Would be longer, if he had his way he'd sleep and feed on the boob all day long!

Ally I am not sure whether you can get to a clinic or not, but in Brissy here at our local CHN clinic they have a BF clinic once a week with an LC that you can see for free and they can sit down with you and assess a feed and maybe give you some help.
Sorry if you already know this info just an idea as that is what I did, as I could ony l afford to see a private LC a couple of times.
I found having an LC actually look at your feeding they could see more clearly what was going on and try and trouble shoot, it is so hard doing things via email and phone isnt it!
When I was trying to explain over the phone about my engorgement and lumps and stuff when I first had troubles with BF, my LC was like okey dokey see what we can do. When she actually got here and saw my boobs she was like "Holy moley I had no idea", and she had never seen boobs as engorged and lumpy as mine before lol!!
I hope things work out how you want Ally but like Toni said dont beat yourself up, at the end of the day I believe so long as bubs is being fed it doesn't matter how he gets it, I have bottlefed and BF and they both worked well!

Well I did a little photo shoot today with bubs, he was so patient letting me photograph him in the Nuddy!! I had the reverse cycle on high so he was nice and cosy for the shots. He got a nice feed as reward and is now snoozing, it's a hard life being a bubs!

Toni - Yay, glad to hear Bailey is on the mend, it is so not fair that they get sick when they are so tiny and helpless:thumbsdown:

Thanks guys for the info on how long bubs are feeding for. DD is still feeding for up to 30mns but she also loves to fall asleep and dummy suck on the boobie. At night I let her do that when we are all ready for bed.

I actually managed a wonderful sleep this arvo dd1 was really good and played nicely, ds and dd2 were snug in bed with me:sleeping:
Oh I so needed it as I have been on about 4hrs total sleep a night.

Ally LC at hospitals are usually free and at ours they have 3 days where they are there. Good luck your doing so well and you will turn the corner very soon.

Yeah i know my hospy has one ... Yep thats right just the one & guess what ?! She is away ... Bloomin public health system !!!!!

I went down to my CHN to get Squeak weighed & to see about a LC. He has put on 300g in the last 2wks which makes me happy cause he was losing weight ! We had a chat about his feeding & im going to see my g.p in regards to him possibly having reflux next week. Will also have a LC come to the house to check whats going on.

Yet again i was told not to worry about the time he spends on the boob which i try not to but it seems like he is never satisfied & refuses to latch back on so to me something is wrong, im not imagining it ! So we will see what happens as of next week !

Im having a lot of dramas with Boof also, the jealousy seems to have kicked in & im going insane. I now have to dead lock us in the house otherwise he waits till im feeding Squeak, unlocks the doors & takes off  My lovely 'spirited' child is certainly testing my patience atm which means im often in tears by the time DP gets home ... Just for once id like things to go my way ... Just once !

Anna, do you still have your AF today??
Reason i ask is when L was 5 weeks old, i woke up with what i thought was AF, lasted all that day and i wore a pad to bed that night and woke up with it completly clean... not a single mark on it. And haven't had any bleeding since... how bizarre!!
If you do still have it... blah... sorry about that. Sure sux huh!!

Ally - Glad everything is coming along.
Its great that Squeak is gaining weight. I bet that puts some of your worry at ease.

Monique & OLT - hope you are getting some more sleep.
Im struggling with just the one bubba to see to, let alone your 3 & 5!!!

Julie - the baby whisperer cancelled her tour, but we are still doing Lunch, so change the time to 12.00pm instead of 2.00pm. Ill PM you also....

I took L for his 6 week check yesterday (im naughty i havent booked mine yet  ) and he is 4.9kg. So thats 1kg in exactly 3 weeks. Little porky.
I asked if you can over feed a BF bub and she said NO.. so i suppose his constant weight gain is ok.
He is averaging 300-400g a week.
He will be a bloody porky if he keeps this up.

Anyone doing anything special for father's day??

TJ - at the risk of posting TMI, stuff it - we've already talked about so much, what's a little of this thrown in?! :D Yesterday I went to the bathroom and there was pink in amongst clear, watery mucous. I wore a pad the rest of the day and it was just brown that was on it by mid afternoon (sort of that very end of an AF look). Changed to a liner and again still only brown. I'll see what happens today - I do have a tiny bit of hope that it is just one final bleed - not impossible, but not likely though as I finished bleeding about 5 weeks ago. Good size Lauchie is - Alex was weighed yesterday at 7.5 weeks and was only just 5kg! Still good though as he wasn't huge when he was born and he was wearing a (dry) nappy and singlet.

Ally - good luck with the LC, I hope squeak doesn't have reflux and it's just a newborn thing that he'll grow out of. Good job with him putting on the weight - that's excellent! Sorry about the Boof dramas, not that it will help much but it really is just a phase that most toddlers go through and it will pass. Sorry but I just had to laugh when I read that you dead bolt the doors! That's one smart kid you have!

Monique - sorry to hear that bub has been unsettled. Isn't it just amazing how we can function on such little sleep though? Even if it's only barely functioning and doing so in trackies and slippers all day! (Yup, that's all I could be bothered dragging on today!)

Must go, Alex exploded at about 3am and I was so buggered I just cleaned him up and changed him, and he's just had another good rumble in the pants so definately time for a bath now!
Oh he's such a gorgeous bub girls! I could just eat him up with a spoon! I'd really love to have another little boy! He's incredibly easy - even more so than the girls and I thought they were easy! Yesterday I put him down for a nap (awake) at 11am and I could still hear him chirping away to himself through the monitor at 12noon then 5 mins later silence! Ahhh....! I'm sure it won't last though! :D

Good Morning Ladies!!

How is everyone doing today?

We had the electricity go out around 5 am this morning and it was so quiet I couldn't sleep properly so at this time I feel so tired and run down. So glad I don't have a real lot to do today except maybe a load of washing and to sweep the floor, so I can somewhat relax. Not that anyone can relax when they have a 2y/o and a baby lol. Will try and get a nap in when Bryce has his nap if Bailey lets me.

Julie - Those pics look great, I was thinking of getting Bailey and taking some nice pics of him. We are also sometime in the next couple of weeks going to get family pics and stuff at pixi fotos. It is going to cost us around $400 for 10 sheets of photos and we can basically pic what pics we want on the sheets and cut them up when we bring them home so we are going to get all the kids individual pics done as well.

Chenicimo - That sux about the af. Hope I don't get mine back before I get the implanon inplant in my arm next week.

Jess - That sux that your son's preschool is closing and that you only just found out days before it is closing. Hope you find one soon and that your son likes it.

Monique - How is Tyran today? Hope he settles down for you soon. We all know what lack of sleep is like don't we? lol

Ally - Hope things with the LC go well for you and things settle down soon. Hope boof settles down for you as well.

TJ - Wow hasn't that gone fast can't believe that Lochie is 6 weeks already. Glad he is doing so good and putting on the weight. You should really get yourself booked in for your checkup as well. We won't be doing anything for fathers day I don't think we might just go down to archery with DH as he has archery on Sundays and they don't take time off only for a few weeks over Xmas.

hi everyone!

man lifes busy with 2 kids, i cant imagine how il go with #3!! (yes.. already decide on #3 lol)
got a bit of a cold at the mo, just a sore throat n ears, not too bad, but the last thing i need!
ds2 is going well, hes such an easy baby compared with ds1! he only cries wen you take too long to get to him too feed him, othere wise he happy gooing and gahhing at everything, he loves a chat! ds1 has been really good with him, gives kisses n cuddles... hasnt tried to carry him:eek: i dunno how id react to that, i freaked wen i read that in a few of your posts!!!
i havent been to the health clinic for check ups, evrything seems to be going well, il just get him checked wen he gets needles.... tj thanks for reminding me i need to book my 6 week visit too.. great fun!
i weigh him at the chemist wen i go shopping. on monday (5w4d) he was 6.26kg! big monster!
ds1 is still b/feeding, he's not asking to be fed evrytime bubs is now, which is good!

chenicimo- oh no, not af! well if you look at the positive side... means body happy for you to have anutha bubba:p

tj- great weight gain by your little 1!! maybe tmi- was your bleed a day after bding? i stopped bleeding at 3 weeks, and a week later, day after bding i bled (spotted) again for a few days... needless to say poor hubby has been missing out lol

ally- great news with the weight gain!!! and good to see you have got a lc comen to visit! so hard getting advice over the phone/net, atleast irl they can see exactly whats goen on!

julie- luve the pics of your bubba!! i dont think id be able to keep mine asleep to get pics like that... mite have to try! they very cute!

olt- bubs is on the boob for 5-20 mins, normaly only 1 side. he drains most out im 5 mins, and the longer feeds are just comfort sucks to sleep normally. very dif from when i was 1st feeding ds1, for the 1st month or so most feeds took anywhere from 30-60 mins, i guess evry1s supply/flow/and bubs suck is difrnt.

here is 2 pics of the monster from yestrday

nuddie bum (http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h105/wm_vq/IMG_2515.jpg)
brocky (http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h105/wm_vq/IMG_2508.jpg)

i love reading about evry1s kidlets, just dont get time to post, hope your all well

take care

Hi all hows things??

Thanks TJ for that heads up, I wonder why she cancelled the tour do you know, I hope it wasnt anything bad that happened to her!
Anyhoo will see ya'll on Wed at 12pm!
Sounds like Lachie is doing so well!! I thought Zeke was piling on the weight with nearly 500gms in a fortnight but Lachie is beating him hands down atm.
Zeke is now over 8.3 lbs so is getting so big, well people who see me tell me how tiny he is but compared to when he was born at 6lbs he looks big to me!

Boobs are going well too thank goodness, but bub has been very spewy and farty the past few days, we had an episode the night before last where he was up four hours straight in the middle of the night grizzling with wind, poor fulla ( and tired mummy) so I am not sure what is up there.
The doc I took him to told me to give him infacol which has been helping a bit, but he reckons it might be reflux. My instincts tell me it isn't reflux as he has been fine up until the past few days. I need to get an appt with my usual doc as I trust her opinion much more.
I now have antibiotic cream for the thrush too, as the antifungal I bought over the counter didnt clear it up and my nipplies are still so ouchies when attaching, but they settle down soon after attaching thank goodness.

Hi MJ!!!! Hope your DF's party goes well, have fun! OMG how rude about your DS preschool shutting with such short notice that will leave you in a bit of a bother arranging an alternative pre school.
How is little Wynter getting big now I bet as she was one of our first July bubs, well June actually lol. How much does she weigh now?

Oh Anna - I hope it is not AF already how RUDE!! It's weird coz my bleeding almost completley stopped after a week, so much so that I felt comfortable to BD again. But I am still finding every now and then after a big BF that I still get a teeny a bit of spotting and bubs is nearly 5weeks old!
I dunno when mine will come back, but am getting a mirena put back in after my 6week check so will possibly get some bleeding for a coupla months after that. Hopefully not, I haven't had to buy tampons for SOOO long and I like it that way lol!
Alex IS gorgeous hun, I saw your pics he looks very chilled out , just like my fulla! Real little go with the flow dudes.
I feel like Zeke has always been part of the family there wasn't much adjsutment at all he has just fit right in and even Xavier accepted him with open arms which I am fully grateful for as I was expecting all sorts of jealousy.

Oh Monique teething again, well at least I guess you might be getting it over with now. When we are all whinging and sleepless over our babies teething in a few months time, you might be getting more sleep than all of us, early teething can have it's benefits!
I hope you are getting some  anyway

Ally - Yay I am so glad you have an LC coming to assess you, I guarantee you will feel so much better coz you feel like you can get all your worries out and the incredible knowledge of these LC's can mean the difference between succeeding and giving up BF, in my experience anyway. I hope she can help you. But Anyhoo, sounds like you are doing a FINE job as bubs has gained good weight, that must be so reassuring!!!
OH Boof, Boof! I wish we lived in the same town as we could get our two boys together chuck em outside and let them burn all that energy together, they would have a ball! I hope he settles down soon hun. Is he vying for your attention? Is that why he is acting up? I have found Xav responds really well if I offer for him to sit beside me for hugs when I am BF, or he helps me change bubs bum, by handing me the nappy and powder etc and he feels really special doing it lol.
Same as when bubs cry I ask him to comfort bubs and he says "don't cry Zekel". He likes to be involved/included otherwise he will do something naughty to get my attention. I even bath them together already lol, I feel like he is bonding better with Zeke this way. I try not to get short with Xav when he gets under my feet as he is usually trying to help my do something even though he is in my way , and I shower him with kisses all the time, which he hates but I think he does actually like it just doesnt want to admit it lol!
If you are already doing this and Harry is still acting up I am sorry, I am still learniing too and far from qualified to give advice but just speak from what is working for us right now.:o
Chin up hun, we love you and are always here when you need to vent, but sounds like you are doing a better job than you give yourself credit for!

Hey Toni, did you get that nap today? I hope so. I never take naps when I should it's so silly coz I pay for later that night when I feel like absolute sh!t!

Belinda- Woohoo what a beautiful bouncing boy you have there, but we always new he wasn't going to be little didnt we! He is lovely I want to cuddle him!! I cant wait for Zeke to chub up a bit he is doing very well but still looks like a new born size wise no chub yet to cuddle! He sounds like such a good bub too, isnt amazing how different second bubs are, Xavier was a beautiful baby but he was colicy and screamed the house down for the first three months of his life so having a baby that only cries when hungry is weird lol!

Sorry to hear about your cold, we all have it again too for the second time in as many months blah!

Well I guess should get to bed it has taken me an hour to write this, geez it is late I am going to be a wreck in the morning.

Hi Lovelies!

I feel so bad about not getting in and writing in here and for lack of personals.

Jordan is not sleeping during the day at all. Im hanging out for my CHN appt on Wednesday. Some days he wakes at 4am and just has 5 min cat naps till 11pm at night. I feel exhausted. DH is awesome and has been doing some night feeds so I can get a rest. Fortunately Jordan sleeps well at night. Bailey was a great sleeper and I do remember him having a phase at about a month old of waking. I just cant remember how long it went on for. Anyways, I hope it all eases soon as its so hard during the day with a newborn awake and in my arms all day long and Bailey (albeit he is being an absolute angel) but he needs my attention too.

Julz Im so glad to hear BFing is going so well now! Good on you hun for persevering and getting thru it!

 Anna, AF already? I thought BFers didnt get it back til like 10 months or longer??? You poor thing, hopefully it was just some spotting and you wont hear from the wicked witch for a long time yet!

Bel- Love the pics of your little man! He is just adorable! I hear on the being busy! Bailey is really an angel but having 2 is hard work regardless!

Monique- :smiliedance: you lucky girl on the full nights sleep! And go lil man Tyran!!! Well done!!!! Hope he continues sleeping thru hun!

Toni- Hope lil Bailey is going well!

TJ- Go Lochie!!!! Thats great weight gain! And go your boobs for feeding him so well!!!!! You must have great amounts of milk! Well done babe!

Allyoo- Oh dear, its hard when the toddlers test your patience. I hope lil Boof settles soon and the jealousy stops. Take care of yourself hun, you have a lot on at the moment and make sure you get lots of support. :hugs:

Everyone else! Hello and I havent forgotten you, just got a bad memory. Ive been looking at the pics in album! The bubs are just precious! I have lots of pics and I promise to get them on here soon!!!!

Hi everyone

Sorry I haven't been on here before, not on the computer much at all anymore and took a short break while we got ourselves into a routine. Not sure if I will be on much, don't have much time for myself these days, all 3 boys are wanting lots of attention. Hope everyone is going well and bubs are settling well.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the July Daddies, have a wonderful day.

Hope to catch up with everyone soon.

whoo hoo Jkate - glad you are back , well even if its only a brief visit!! :hugs:

Bel - not sure if its BD'ing related... i didnt take any notice to be honest.

Anna- how is everything now?? After all that talk, TMI ALERT.... yesterday i woke up with red blood, then nothing come mid arvo... what the hell are our bodies doing.
Im happy for the random bleed every now and then but please DO NOT let AF come back just yet!!

Julz - oh glad you saw my msg, as i forgot to pm you :o
See you Wednesday.
Hope Zeke doesnt have reflux, i dont know anything about it, but surely it cant just spring up now?? you would have thought he would have had it since day one!!?? Hope the new cream settles those boosies down for you as well

Leanne - are you coming on wednesday? has lolly spoken to you.
Sux you arent getting much of a break atm, but im in the same boat as you atm. For the last week Lochie who NEVER use to cry has certainly found his lungs, and isnt sleeping during the day either.
Im lucky to get 30 mins out of him, and even then its only twice throughout the day.

Hey TJ where are you guys meeting for lunch now that the tour is cancelled? Can you pm me and Leanne with the location.
The pics are great TJ your DH would have loved them, funny I did up an almost identical frame ( although mine is a shadow box frame) and hung it on Zekes wall yesterday lol, great minds think alike
Pics in Zekes room (http://s14.photobucket.com/albums/a323/JulzXav/?action=view&current=DSCF1696001.jpg)
I have set up my house like a photo studio today , back drop and lights and all so when Zeke settles down a bit I will do some pics, I just love takng their pics, I will do some of Xav too:thumbsup:
Zeke isn't sleeping well in the mornings at the moment and wants to be carried all morning. Luckily he has a huge 3-4 hour nap in the mid afternoon so I can get things done.
He has actually just self settled himself now, he cried for about a minute, I new he was tired he just didnt want to go to sleep, hopefully he might sleep for an hour or so now.

Leanne sorry to hear you are sooo tired and not getting much of a break during the day. It is good to have DH be able to share some of the feeds at night though aye. I hope you can come on Wednesday it would so nice to meet you and Jordan!

HI Karen, so glad to hear from you!! I hope things are going well, I bet you are busy with your three boys. My two boys are keeping me on my toes lol!!

Seems us July girls all have good taste lol!! Has nothing to do with the fact that the style of frame seems to be the fashion atm and most people have them in their homes lol!
I just love simple black and white shots, they look elegant in a black and white (or dark wood) frame!

Didn't get my photography done today, bubs had other ideas and didn't want to sleep in his basinette today, rather he wanted to be carried all day . But I did get to mow the lawns whilst DH installed the roller doors in our new walk in robe during one of bubs brief moments of sleep time in his own bed, so it was a somewhat productive day.

Ok I am off to bed, my best GF from highschool is over from NZ and coming for a visit tomorrow so better try and get some shut eye before she arrives.

Nite!

Hi there Jkate! Glad to hear your boys are going well! I understand what you mean about being busy! I find it hard work with 2 let alone 3! Thanks for popping into say hi tho!

TJ- It sounds like a growth spurt doesnt it? But I know, it seems like its always the case. I guess they are always growing!I pm'd you about Wednesday. I am so mad now coz I cant make it and Im dying to meet you all but I will definately be at the next one, promise! I have CHN on that day. OMG I LUURRRVVE the pics you got done! Your photgrapher friend is amazing and I bet Jon loved the present!

Julz- Your pics are fabulous also hun, have you thought about taking up photography. You certainly have the creative talent! Hope you have a nice day with your friend today! Lots of catching up I bet!

Hope all the daddys had a fantastic Fathers day!

DH had a good day, got him some DVDs so he was happy! We also went out for lunch and can you believe DH made me buy some new clothes! LOL!

I have been whiging about my excess baby weight and that my clothes dont fit so he said lets go shopping for new clothes. He said he thinks I look fine but he wants me to be happy. What a sweetheart. Shopping for clothes on fathers day:laughing: I said No but he said it was his fathers day wish!!!! I got a few new tops but I dont wanna buy too much and then lose the weight. Its really only around my tummy.

The weather since Jordan was born has been terrible so I havent been able to go walking. Also still got some scar tissue pain on my stitches.

Jordan is going a bit better now. He didnt sleep alot yesterday but he was content so thats a good thing. He went to sleep at 6 last night and I dream fed him at 9.30 then he woke and stirred at 2.30 so I fed him and was back in bed at 3 then he slept til 7.30. And its daylight now and he is sleeping!!!:smiliedance:

Anyways sorry about writing a novel!

Luv to you all

Hi there Taliistheworld, glad you found the thread!get chatting girl, how is Tali doing?

Leanne- Name change!!!! I was was browsing new posts and thought who on earth is Jorbai lol!!
How sweet of your Dh to take you shopping. We did the same thing last week, I think my DH got sick of me complaining about my body too.
Couldn't find much I like though, maybe I am getting old but the fashions in the shops right now are:barf: it's like stepping back to 1980's and everything is big and fluro or flowery, things i wore when I was at primary school and alot of it looks like maternity wear lol!!
I ended up buying 4 pairs of jeans, a pair of bubblegum jeans, a 3/4 pair of junk jeans and two low rise hipsters from target oh and couple of loveable and hot milk maternity bras.
Can't find any nice tops that look good with by big boosies right now, I feel so blarrgh up top right now, every top makes me look massive!

I know those of you here who dont have big boobs would say oh I would love that, but it is no fun at all not to me anyway.
I feel so heavy up top and it makes me feel fatter than I am having so much weight up top. I hope they shrink down a bit over the months. I want to go back to a jazz dance class one night a week, but dont think I could physically handle it right now, they are just too big and would hurt if I tried to run or jump!
Sorry stop whinging now, man my poor DH has to listen to this every day!

Oh poor Tali, I hate needle time, I make DH come with me to hold bubs as it is awful!
Luckily my first DS was awesome with needles and never cried or had any after effects, but I still find it traumatic watching them jab my baby:thumbsdown:

Dont worry about her milestones luv, enjoy her while she is tiny, she will be big and running around before you know it and then you will wish her to be a baby again lol!!

Cool username Leanne!

Hello Ladies!

WEll we have had a pretty busy few days. Sunday we went to archery with DH and then came home at around 1 and had family time the rest of the day sitting down watching some tv and playing golf on the ps2.

Saturday Bryce went to the dorothy the dinosaur show with his Aunty and 2 of his cousins and he had a ball.

Today I was busy cleaning up the house and also getting other things done with DH for his water dragons as it is his Sunday today and he goes back to work tomorrow through to Saturday.

Anyhow I hope everyone is doing fine and I will catch up on personals at a later time.

hey ladies.....ive been poppin on here regularly but feel terrible coz i dont post often. im one handed typing as usual. christian hs mild silent reflux n sleeps terribly some days. Hes still sleeping really well at night tho so I guess thats what counts.

Hope all the daddies had a great fathers day. DF had to work (hes a chef) but was very excited about his pressies and impressed that DS came running in saying "Happy fathers day daddy!"

Bubs r due to have a growth sput around 6 weeks isn't it? Ive felt like my boobs have been out constantly the past few days and DS2 is right on 6weeks.

Ive been meaning to change my username for awhile (Leanne u reminded me with ur name change) coz when I joined I was 17...Im nearly 21 and dont feel so "young" anymore! lol. Still deciding what my new user name should be!

I went yesterday and got my first tattoo. It hurt alot less than I thought it would!
Butterfly (http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a140/StephKwok/009.jpg)
DF also got one yesterday too. He got a scorpian(Im a scorpio) on his arm.

DS1 is still being really naughty. He's constanty hitiing me and yelling even when Christian has been asleep for hours so he's getting 100% attention. It can get really stressful with DF working 9am-midnight 5 days a week.

Anywayz it has taken me forever to write this!!

Julie love the name:thumbsup:

I too have been buying new clothes. It's funny I go into the shops and take hours but have found some really great things on ebay that look flattering.
I also hate my top half theres big boobs and then there is ridiculous, I have ridiculous,lol...

Well we had gastro the night of fathers day I got it first and went down really quick ended up in bed at 10.30pm:thumbsdown: Then ds got it and I noticed dd2 had runny poo today..

Monique- How did Tyran go with his needles? Poor lil man. Lots of big cuddles to him:hugs:

Julz hun Im always praying for big boobs!!! But I understand your pain, its probably all in your back too. :hugs:

Steph- I know how you feel, I come on and have a read for like 10 mins then all of a sudden one of my boys needs me and I cant post at that time. Its hard work!!! Hey with the silent reflux, what are the symptoms? Jordan sleeps perfectly at night but is awake alot of the day? Today so far has been the best. He has slept lots. Last night he slept from 7pm til 2.30am then 3 til 7.30! I tried to dream feed him at 10 but he only drank 50mls and didnt wake at all.

Taliistheword- Jordan loves tummy time but Bailey my first son absolutely HATED it! My suggestion, and you may have been told is just to try it for very short periods during the day. Dont let her scream tho, even if its just for a minute. I actually layed Bailey up high ( i was with him) on our coffee table with lots of blankets infront of the TV, it distracted him from knowing he was on his tummy. It worked and he actually fell asleep! As julz said tho, dont worry about thier milestones. I did and Bailey is thriving now and going ahead in leaps and bounds! With Jordan I will not worry about anything.

OLT- Im glad you found some clothes you like! Im got some nice tops but did struggle to find anything flattering that didnt accentuate my flabby belly. Hope you and your fam get better soon. How do you go looking after lil Shakyla when your sick. It must be hard. Hugs to you hun xox

Well, I dont wanna jinx myself but I cant believe both my boys are asleep right now! Bailey always has a day sleep but Jordan doesnt sleep in the day. Thank goodness he is a good night sleeper I say. So I finally got time to sit down, relax and post on the hub!!!

Have a great day lovelies

Hi Ladies,

Hope you and your bubbas are all doing well... Lets see how far I get into this post before one of my 2 kiddlets calls me... :D

My beautiful AJ is 6 weeks and 1 day today. I still can't believe she is a SHE! I think I am still in shock after all this time. :) I went to get her checked out and she is exactly 4kg (naked). I'm still having a rough trot with the BF (cracked and bleeding) but we are getting there. I am no longer shocked when we get a black poo! She usually sleeps nearly all day and wakes once at night, but come the witching HOURS from about 5pm - 9pm she just does not want to be put down. So, it is very stressful at our house then, trying to get dinner and get DS to the bath and bed. We've also put phone books under one end of her cot to raise it a little cause she is quite spewy and that seems to have helped a lot. She can self settle at least half the time which is a great help. I still can't get over the amount of washing one lil bub can produce!

OLT - I had to laugh and be terrified at the same time with your story. DS is also always trying to pick up DD. I cannot leave her anywhere within his reach. Oh, and I think we are feeding at about 15mins a side.

Julie - Love the pics. Esp the one on the nappies. I was in the Myer Centre on Sunday and I saw a blonde lady with a bright green P&T pram with 2 blonde boys in it. I was wondering if that was you, and whilst I was mustering up the courage to make a fool out of myself, I decided that it wasn't cause the bub looked much older than 5 weeks. So, hope it wasn't you. Hehehe! ETA: Just checked out the photo album thread. Def wasn't Zeke in the pram. LOL!

Toni - I hope everyone is all better at your house by now.

Anna - oh you poor thing. I hope you don't really have AF already. DS was fully FF and I didn't get AF for 13 weeks (no wonder it takes me so long to fall preg) so I will be spewing if it returns before then considering this time I'm BF.

Ally - Gee I can relate to your posts. RE: BF and toddler issues. DS used to be really sweet. Now he just screams when he doesn't get his own way. I've had to lock ourselves inside for some time now and I also have locks on the side gates. But the latest is as soon as I sit down to BF, DS heads straight for the fridge. :hair: I just don't want to deal with broken eggs. I've got a lock to try but I haven't had a chance to stick it on yet, (needs to be put on at night so it has a chance to stick properly and I keep forgetting.) Otherwise I am considering forgoing the comfy lounge and TV and getting a chair and feeding DD infront of the fridge so DS can't drive me crazy. LOL!

Monique - how is your lil boy today. I hope he is ok after getting his needles - and you are ok too!!

To be continued... I'm just going to start a new post in a tick...

ETsMum
04-09-2007, 13:27
My post continued...

Belinda - Love the nuddie bum pic. What a cutie. We have also already decided on #3. I just don't know what sort of age gap to have next time. At this stage the terrible 2's are putting me off a 2yr age gap. OLT and Mumma Jessy - you have 3 under 3... Is it crazy? I'm thinking the younger AJ is the easier it might be in the long run.... Anyone?? Feel free to put in your two cents worth. :D

Leanne - how's things going? I was going to send some sleep fairies, but it doesn't sound like J needs them at the moment. :)

Steph - I can relate to not being able to do posts, and DP has similar working hours to your DF. Although, sometimes he comes home for an hour to spend time with DS and to put him to bed. Cool tat!

Oh, there is my girl awake. Got to go before she wakes DS. Sorry to those I didn't get to. I'll TRY and come back later... :)

ok.. I'm going to try one handed typing... May as well keep going while I'm on a roll... Sorry, if I double up. I can't remember what I've said already. And these posts are taking ages...

TJ - love the pics you got done. Esp the middle one. L seems to be going really well. I hope you girls have fun at your meet-up. Is it tomorrow? One of these days I'll get my act together and come too.

taliistheword - wow!! Rolling already, or nearly!! Some of these July bubbas are so clever! I keep forgetting to do tummy time, but we often have DD lying on our chest when she is unsettled of an evening so I suppose that would count a bit.

JKate - hi, good to see you pop in here! Hope you get some time for yourself soon. :hugs:

Oh, this is too hard to type and I think I just got spewed on. Hi to Shell and Lolly and anyone else I missed... And a big special hello to Gail!!

Hi everyone, how are we all??
There is so many posts in this thread for me to catch up on so i kinda just skimmed through it!! How is every ones bubs going??
My little one is good, our only prob atm is her wind, otherwise she is well, gaining alot of weigh... she is on around the 90th-95th percentile, so shes my little chubby chica!!
Im so sorry I havent been on to catch up with everyone lately, when im not trying to catch up on sleep im trying to feed kel, or read books or play with her... at the same time im trying my best not to be in her face all the time otherwise she'll start to get dependant on my face being in her sights.

Steph-Love the Tat, did u get it done at wicked ink? im scared to get one done but i guess i did go through labour so i guess now i can take anything lol.

Im also thinking of changing my user name not sure what to go for though... any idea's??

Good Morning Ladies!

Hope all mums and bubs are doing great.

I have had a wonderful 2 nights sleep. Bailey has been going down around 9pm and woke at 5am yesterday morning and 7am this morning. I never knew what a good nights sleep was anymore till 2 nights ago it's great. I have layed him on his tummy as he is able to lift his head a little now and able to turn it so as it is not face 1st down into the cot and this is what is making him sleep right through the night, it's bliss.

anyhow I am off to get some scrapbooking done while Bailey is asleep and Bryce is sitting in front of the TV or I will never get any done and won't get it caught up.

Hi Ladies

Sorry this is yet again going to be a 'me' post & a whinge :o

Squeak still isnt feeding well :gloomy:

The LC came on Monday & she was lovely, very helpful etc.

Squeak definately has reflux so am hoping he can start on some Zantac soon to help but the problem is he is refusing to feed whether it be bottle or breast. He has already started associating feeding with pain poor bugger so is losing weight again *sigh*.

I have to top him up after every breastfeed now as he refuses to go back on boob due to pain & even getting him to feed full stop then keep it down is a struggle. We decided this was the best option being that just after 4 days he had lost 50gms & was a little dehydrated. The crying in pain, gagging etc really is distressing & doing my head in.

Im also still struggling with my supply which is being made worse by the breast refusal. The LC thinks that may also be why he is refusing boob because he cant get what he needs. So freaking frustrating !!!!

Boof has also started to scream & cry everytime i have to feed Squeak which has me in tears & losing the plot.

Im often left thinking i should just put Squeak onto formula but i know this wont solve anything. I just hate that things arent working & feel like cr@p because of it. Just want things to go well for once ... Just once !

Sorry for that :gloomy:

Oh Ally so sorry to hear you are still having such a hard time of it, I really hop things improve soon, reflux makes things so much harder when thrown in with an already low supply :fingerscrossed: for improvement & :hugs:

Just popping in quickly to say Sorry to TJ and Lollydove but I wont be able to make it to lunch today.

Am really gutted actually not that it can be helped. Xav has an ear infection and conjunctivitis. We found out at an 8am doc appt this morning, so no daycare for him today, we'll be stuck home all day with a whingy 2yr old oh joy!

Plus DH has been asked to work tomorrow, which is normally one of his days off ( he has Thurs- Fri's off instead of Sat- Sun) so I am not going to get a break at all this week.

I am so peeved at him for taking the overtime as he knows how tired I am and that I need some time out and help with things as I'm still just getting the hang of juggling two kiddies.

Plus he plays inline hockey in two nights a week and starts his personal training/business course next week which will be another two nights a week that he is away.

Am feeling a bit like I am being left to do it all my own atm and I feel so teary, I hate feeling this way, but sleep deprivation does that t o you.:gloomy:
Bubs is still puking and getting upset tummies after some feeds, so can take hours to settle at night, the doc didn't seem concerned about it though as his weight gain is good and he is generally happy and alert.

Sorry didn't mean to whinge woops, anyway gotta tend to children, have a nice day everyone and have a lovely lunch TJ and Lollydove!

Hi Ladies!

So sorry to have bveen MIA again! Everyone here has been sick with gastro, it just keeps going riound and round our little family, poor DD1 has had it 3 times now! Luckily Wynter and I have missed out on it so far...

First of all BIG :hugs: to those who are having a tough time. Just keep telling yourself things WILL get better!

Lil-X sounds like your man needs a boot up the butt, have you tried talking to him and getting him to help out a bit more. My man was the same after DD1, I ened up on the verge of PND, my Mum had a talk with him and he suddenly started helping out a lot more and made it much more bearable. I

t's a big jump from 1 to 2 and takes a while to adjust, HUGE :hugs: to those finding it hard, i know i did.

On a brighter note this time i was ready for anything and Wynter has settled in like she has always been here, it's been surprisingly easy!

Wynter is doing great, a very happy girl full of grins for me all the time now. Getting big, but still small enough to snugle nicely I'm so in love with her littleness, my other two were heffas!

Anyone who is fully b/f got their period back yet?

TMI I haven't but had a bit of spotting after an little accident on DF's 30th (pulled out but still..) he has had the snip but only a few weeks ago so there still may be swimmers... The last couple of days I have had heavy CM and feel a little iffy. (but everyone here has had gastro his week so maybe thats it??)

I'm hoping i'm not pregnant, too close and then i'd have 4 to deal with, plus DF would loose it, i had to talk him into #3!!

Anyone else feeling a bit weird breast feeding? I hear that dryness is a side affect of b/f thats why i'm so worried about the cm issue...

Anyway, will try to come in more, but i'm sure we are all real busyatm with our litle bundles!

Hi girls! Finally I have 2 hands free to type!

Jules, hope Xav gets better real quick!! I agree talk to your DH and tell him how you're feeling! It's so hard, especially when you don't have any family nearby to help out. I've been so lucky this time around, Ariane is a little angel. Actually I'm having a harder time with Chloe, she loves being difficult lately, and doing gross things, making huge messes, am constantly cleaning up after her, but hey she's got the hang of using the dustbuster and LOVES it. She says "mummy Fakyoum"............LMAO!!! If I were there I'd come and give you a hand :hugs:

MJ :shame:, don't worry, chances of you being pg are quite minimal, I'm getting lots of cm and I'm def not pg, trust me  Glad to hear things are going really well with little Wynter!

LD, glad you're doing well!

Ally, sorry you're struggling sweets! My DD1 is being real difficult too lately ! Hope that the zantec works and makes things easier for you sweets

Well, everything is well here, Ariane is getting bigger everyday, she's gooing and gahing and laughing. She makes these high pitched nosies too, its so hilarious! She's starting to actually make sounds too and it sometimes sounds like she's saying "muuum" and on one occassion I could've sworn it sounded like she said my name . she is such a good girl, if Chloe was like her (she was challenging from the start) I would've def had another one!

am loving all the pics of all our beautiful bubs too! Can't believe theyre all around 2 or almost 2 months old now, how time flies!

hey lovely july mummy , i have a question i had my period for about a week and a half now , it kinda heavy and lots of clots, has anyone else had this happen, i have to go to the doc's tomorrow but i don't know if it the normal thing as my period wasn't like this before tali so i'm a bit worried i'm be prego again because we accidantly had unsafe sex i know it dumb but it just happened

Well bubs is six weeks old on sunday and I am still having pinksh CM on and off unbelievealbly.
I am putting it down to BF and if it is helping with my uterus going back top normal size then that is fine by me lol!
For those of you have had acccidents I hope it is not AF for you, oh that could be interesting lol:o . We have had one accident of our own too, so I know how you feel but I am prettty confident that I am not ovulating right now, but who can know for sure..........
Am having my 6week check on Tuesday, smear and also should get my appt to have my mirena put in, so shouldn't have to worry about it too much longer........:fingerscrossed:

Hi Everyone, I'm feeling sorry for myself today. Another sore (.)(.) whinge!!

Yesterday at about 5pm I tried to put DD on my bad (.) and it was instantly painful. I stuck my finger in her mouth to try and reef out my nipple but I was not quick enough, and I had started to bleed. So, stupid me thought I'd try again, this time it was comfortable so I let her feed and burped her when she was finished... wellllll.... then she spewed, and spewed and spewed... blood. OMG..!! So much blood! I didn't realised that I was really, REALLY bleeding. It was all over the cloth nappy I was using as a spew rag, and all over her clothes and some on mine too. DP was making 'dingo taking baby' comments. Thanks! Very helpful DP!!

Anyway I decided I wouldn't use that boob for a while, but by 5am this morning it was begging to be used. I got a shield, but still yuck! :( Gee this BF business is tough! :hair:

OK... cry time over! Thanks for reading.

ETsMum - I feel your pain :hugs: Dont stress about the blood it wont actually be that much they just tend to spew up so much saliva etc that it all mixes in making it look like litres of the stuff ! It wont hurt DD even though the idea feels weird.

I was going to suggest using a nipple shield & remember to lather your nipple in some milk after a feed. I would also suggest lathering some Lanisoh on overnite, this is what i do & find it really helps. Feeding from it will actually help heal it but letting it rest is also a good idea when you can.

Well we have had a good morning so far funnily enough probably because ive been able to stay in bed with Squeak while DP looked after Boof. This has meant we could feed together without interruptions etc. Plus he hasnt been as spewy today which has also got me thinking i think the formula we have been using to comp is adding to the reflux :detective: So im going to try to stick with just bf as much as possible over the weekend especially now as my supply seems a whole load better. Then we will see how he goes, just dont want him dehydrated again !

Thankyou all yet again for putting up with my whinging i really appreciate all your support :hugs:

Can you all believe how quickly time is going !!! I had a heart attack on Wednesday when i realised bubs would be 4wks the following day ! Its just hard to believe ! Soon they will be crawling then walking :crying:

Anyways hope you all have a fantastic weekend !

Ally, good to hear you're doing better hun! Am sure all these bf troubles will be a thing of the past very very soon.:hugs: I know what you mean about time flying, feels like it was the other day we were all so over being pregnant!

Etsmum, hope that sore booby of your heals up quickly, maybe try expressing if you can until it feels more comfy to feed from it?

Hey ladies.....Im sory but Ive gone to have a bit of a cry. Ive had a horrible day.

SOme of u might know that I thought Christian may have silent reflux...I took him to a Dr who brushed it off and also said that the hernia on his belly button will "go away".
Anyway Christian is still so unsettled through feeds. He screams in pain and kicks his legs pulling off the boob every few seconds.
We had a terrible night last night where he just was in to much pain to feed at all so I take him to the Dr this morning.
Forgetting it was an APEC public holiday most Drs were shut ut I found one with a wait of an hour and a half.
I told the Dr all his symptoms and she refered us to a paed. saying he's having bowel cramps almost like contractions. He is also showing signs of silent reflux and should be looked at. She then said that regardinghishernia it WILL NOT just "go away" and that I need to put methalated spirits on it and the Paed will close it up when I see him. Poor thing also has exema on his face.

So I can home and he comfort fed so much (still screaming thru the feeds tho) and by bed time I was empty and sore so I made up a bottle of formula (not wanting too but didnt have a choice) and he drank the whole thing without crying in pain...I now feel the reason he's in pain is somehow my fault :gloomy: coz he took the formula great and settled better than ever........I love breastfeeding!!

Sorry for the me post. I just needed to get that all out. I'll be back later to do personals.

I'm so sorry to heqar about the troubles you guys are having, big hugs to all of you!

Steph - Your DS sounds EXACTLY like my DD1, down to the excema on his face... Glad you got reffered to the paed, thats what i'd suggest. They never found out what was wrong with Savvy just kept going to the Gp and going round and around in circles, if i had to do it again, i'd insist on seeing a paed. The good news is that one day she just stopped, and from then on has been a very happy little girl! Goodluck at the paed, keep us updated.

Ally - So glad you got a day off hun! I haven't been around much, are you taking tabs to boost your supply? I got the lactation cookie recepie from the b/f thread, and much to my surprise it worked for me!

Et's - So sorry to hear bout your poor nip! It shouldn't be this hard should it, after two kids before I have only just got the hang of it on my thrid!

Lil-x - I'm hoping our little accident didn't create anything too, i doubt it but i'm still worried. Generally all we have to do is look at eachother and i'm pregnant, which has it's good and bad points!

taliistheword - I bled a LOT for 9 weeks after my DD1, got scans and everything to check there was nothing left, and i was cleared. Just one of those annoying things i guess.

Must go Wynter is awake and whinging bout something, I can't beleive she is 11 weeks old!!

YoungMumSteph if you can go and see nother doctor cause i get reflux and so did d1 did as well and all the signs hes is showing are reflux he should be on something to stop the reflux i hope hes feels better soon i know how reflux feel and i bf my d1 when she had it then i but her on formula and she was a hole lot better. So dont think bad of your self in the end its what better for bub and if it formula thats settles him well that whats best for him i know how you feel i was like that with d1 but in the end formula was best for her.my doc also told me reflux and excema are income with each other.

Monique- We are bookin in to c a paediatrician beauce he's not actually throwing up the 2 Dr
s we've seen weren;t happy to just diagnose it as silent reflux. I also think its something else (mothers instinct) so I just have to make it till the appt..

Christian fed terrible (breastfeeding) thru the night and I gave in and gave him formula this morning and he wasmuch more settle...once again no fighting during the feed. Im going to ring ABA and c what they think.

Good luck Steph:thumbsup: I have darn thrush back after we got a dose of gastro dd and ds got it in their mouth and mumma has it back on the boobs:: I got right on top of it, ds got it thanks to stealing dd's bloomin dummy:thumbsdown:

Well have to chat tomorrow have been flat out just came from sil's she cooked a roast, have had the kids up everynight until 12am the last 4 nights:eek: . Had parties and things to go to,. So tomorrow I said we are having a pj day and then the fence guy rings to say he will be here at 8.30am, so that went out the window. Sil is now coming to have a cuppa so that will ensure I get up.

Today we had a party to go to and I couldn't believe how great this party was all set up like a circus. The best party I have been too. My kids including bubby were perfect for 3 and a half hrs. I was nervous taking 3 on my own as it was a friends of my daughters so know one I knew. Well I ended knowing a lot of the mums so I had a few hold bubs and I could help the kids with the games.

Well my dd sleeps through from 10.30-11pm - 4.30-6am:smiliedance: She had done this from birth but when she got sick it sort of changed but it's all back to normal:

I got my sling the other day and love it! I have a pouch which I love too so will vary everyday but at least I have something to keep bubs in. It's great when she drifts I can clean or type with ease at the puter.

I wanted to ask

How long is bubs staying a wake for? Shakyla is awake for at least an hour several times a day. Very happy gooing and that. It's great watching her.
well gotta go

Hi Everyone,

It's been aaaages since I got to write in and say hi....sorry bout that.

I have been busy with us all getting sick on and off etc...you know how it is.

Anyway, only a couple of mins to spare at moment, but was wondering how your bubbies are doing during the 'witching hour'? How long do your bubs fidget and cry for? My bubs is still getting a lot of wind and seems to be upset by it all for a couple of hours some nights....she's usually pretty settled though, just lately I am wondering if part of it is really due to being overstimulated during the day or something. Hmmm, have to wait and see.

I am back to full breastfeeding after the Mastitis and what seemed to be a low supply, I am pretty pleased with myself he,he.

Well, gotta go, she's up again, speak soon.

Ets mum- Hi hun, sorry to hear about your roght trot with the feeding. So many of you have got really good will power and perseverance. U really will inspire people! Hope your getting it sorted now.

Ally- Hows things going for you hun? I got your reply PM so lets hope all goes well with the bfing and eventually Im sure it will all become so much easier for you.

Steph- Hun I know in a sense how you feel altho I didnt bf as long. Jordan would be constantly on the boob and never settled off it then I gave him formula and he was such a content lil man. Hopefully you can work it all out hun but if in the end you have to go to formula please know you gave Christian the very best start in life. I told myself when I changed that I was doing it for Jordans happiness not for myself. But I do hope you can sort out your issues and continue to BF like you really want to.

Taliistheword- Wow hun, glad you had a good sleep! Jordan only wakes once at around 3am but Im looking forward to when it stretches out til about 6!!!

OLT- Sorry to hear about the thrush and gastro. Hope it all clears up soon. Sounds like your very busy at the moment!! Jordan was staying awake all day long but I just changed his formula and now he sleeps nearly all day just waking for feeds and a quick play and then back down again. Except of course witching hour which is around 3-4 til about 5-6.

Boymum- How are you hun?! Glad your over the mastitis and back to bfing comfortably! I wrote to OLT about our witching hours. It does vary but always in the afternoon and its because of his colic, poor lil man. He just doesnt burp but being the man he is he does fart alot:laughing: (just like his daddy!!!) I gues once he gets to around 9-12 weeks this will stop.

Jordan is going pretty well this week! I changed him to a special Colic formula and he is sleeping alot more which is great! I bought him a baby swing which he just LOVES!!!

Im feeling pretty ordinary tho, my weight is getting to me. I know Im not a huge person but my midsection tummy thighs and hips are just disgusting and I have huge love handles :barf: I jsut bought a pilates DVD and it also has an aerobics DVD as well as walking when I can. Pilates is helping. I hope its not too soon to be doing it tho? Im only 5 weeks post partum. Oh well i wanna flatten my tummy so Ill just do it!!!

Well better go, J will be after his last feed pretty soon then off to bed for us!

Night:hugs:

Leanne- Im feeling the same about my weight. I saw a pic of u with the boys and u look gorgeous! Pilates does help tho. Im doing a postnatal class and its wonderful.

boymum- THats great that u were able to get right back into bf after mastitis. And during the night Christian seems to be most settled (even more than day feeds.) every bub is diff tho, could it be a growth spurt?

OLT- Sounds like u've been really busy! I hope the gastro and thrush ease up soon. I no how painful the thrush can be!!

Julie- I saw the pics of ur 2 boys in the photos section, they look so alike!!! They r both so cute! My 2 dont look much alike (although ppl seem to think they do). I think Christian looks like me and Aj looks like Nick but they both have similarities to Nicks dad!!

taliistheword- What is ur DD on for her reflux? Is hers silent or normal reflux? Good to hear being on the bottle helped tho!

Monique- Thanksfor the advise. I made an appt with another Dr tomorrow who was trained in paediatrics but works as a normal GP. Hopefully he can help. i too believe its silent reflux but the Dr's all say its too hard to diagnose.

mumma_jessy- I made an appt with a paed but couldnt get in till november. The exema on DS's face has cleared up, we got some cream and it wasgone within hours!
Wow I cant believe Wynter is already 11weeks! Seems like yesterday that u came on and said u were in labour!!

Well Christian is taking most of his feeds from the bottle now and when I offer him the breast he fusses till I get the bottle out then he gets really excited...I think itsjust his preference although Im going to keep feeding as much as possible for as long as I can, even if that just means night feeds. We r seeing another Dr tomorrow so hopefully he can shed some light on whats bothering my lil man. Aj is coping really well with so much attention being on Christian. He still gets special time with me every day which he loves and he's also decided to start toilet training! Hopefully this time it sticks!

Oh tell me about it. People keep telling me I look fantastic for just having had a baby, but I in myself feel awful atm, I am the heaviest I have ever been ( whwhen not pregnant) and so flabby.
I am hoping now that DH has started his personal trainer course that he might use me as a guinea pig and whip me into shape.
I am so down about it. I think the big boobs aren't helping either, though I am glad to be BF it would be nice to have smaller boobs again and be able to wear an underwire bra so I actually look nice in tops. Ahwell it's all in the name of our beautiful babes which I wouldn't change for the world.

Steph - Gosh November to get an appt with a paed isnt that ridiculous, what about the mean time??
Good to hear the excema cleared up quickly.
I hope bubs settles soon and you can come up with a soluton to his problems.

Shilo- We are still battling the thrush here too, it is so ouchy on them nipples isn't it??!? Sorry to hear about the gastro too, you poor things how awful!

Ezekiel is awake so much during the day now anywhere between 1/2 -1hour at a time. He loves to watch other kids play and follows them with his eyes around the room when he's lying on the floor having a kick and roll. He rolls side to side.
He accidently rolled from his tummy to his back today, and looked quite pleased with himself to have achieved it as he still doesnt like tummy time ( Xavier didn't either until he was older).

I was quite peeved about the thrush I have endured for two weeks now because I went to a doctor (not my own usual doctor as I couldn't get an appt with her). He prescribed me bactroban, I thought that seemed odd since that is an antibacterial creme. But I thought, no he 's the doctor and knows what he is doing.
So have been applying the creme religiously with absolutely no improvement. He also didn't give me script for anything for bubs either. What a d!ck. Anyhoo I had my 6week check today and told my doctor and she prescribed the correct antifungal not antibacterial creme, for me and bubs ( daktarin) so hopefully things improve quickly now. She was also surprised at what he prescribed, useless some doctors I tell you!

I had a smear today, oh joy and it was a tad ouchy too ( till tender after the birth I guess), Glad it's only every two years.
Bubs was weighed and measured and he is a whopping 4.5kgs (clothed so minus 100gms or so if you want), that is a massive 700gms in a fortnight! He is now 56cms long (49cms at birth).
Am so stoked he is gaining so well, I was worried because he pukes soo much but obviously he is only puking the excess up lol!!

Ok am off for a shower while things are quiet lol!

:shame: I have been very slack in posting here.
Although i have been reading most days to keep up with everyone.

Julie - Lochie did the same thing as Zeke today an accidental roll, not sure who got the bigger fright.. me or him!!
Glad he is gaining weight really well!! Makes the pain of BF that little bit easier to deal with i bet.

Steph - have you thought about expressing??
That way he is still getting the breast milk, but is taking it from the bottle??
See how you go at the doc, hope there are some answers for you

Leanne - if only you lived around the corner we could go walking. Like the other gals as well, im feeling a little down about my baby weight.
Whilst i fit into most clothes - they arent exacltly lose put it that way.
So im doing a 12 week challange.. so it needs to be gone by then.
Until we all lose it, we can just use the "oh i have just had a baby excuse"
Certainly doesnt help with all the nice little summer shorts that are at shops atm huh

Boymum - glad your mastitis has gone and you are back BF!! whoo hoo!!
I dont get the witching hour at my place.
I chuck lochie in the bath normally between 5.00-5.30 and we have a bit of a play so he is normally in there for at least 15 mins, get dressed, bit of tummy time, has a feed and then normally off to bed no later than 7.00pm - i do the same thing in the same order every night... Come 5ish he starts to winge a little but as soon as he is in the bath he is fine, its like he knows its bath time and then he gets boobie!!!
Maybe try a routine that suits and try sticking to it during that horrible period??

OLT - thats great about the sleeps you are getting!
Hope she keeps it up for you.

Tali - you too sounds like you have a zombie sleeper on your hands. want to trade?? :p

Ally - how did you go with more BF and less formula? is the reflux still the same?

Et - i had the same thing in hospital, Lochie spewed a HEAP of blood and i wasnt sure if it was from me or him but it scared the hell out of me.
The middies said not to worry too much, blood cant really hurt them, they will just chuck it up if they get too much.
Breast milk is made up of similar things to blood apparently ???

Hello to CMD & Monique and anyone else i have missed!!

Not a hell of alot to report on my end. Lochie did his first 7 hour block of sleep last night, pity it started at 6.30pm and not like 9.30pm or something... haha better than nothing tho huh!!
Taking him for his needles on Thursday, so not to sure how that will go down, i think i might just BF him at the time.
He is finally in 000 clothes, still all of the 000 pants are too big, but the shirts and suits are fine.
The 0000 still fit, but are just getting a bit short in length.
Well im only 5' so he is bound to be a shorty huh!

I cant believe how quickly time is flying!!
Our bubbas will be toddlers before we know it.

Steph- How are things going hun? I know how you feel about the feeding issue, its so hard when you truely want to bf but when you see bub so content on bottle you really dont know what to do. I hope you can continue Bfing hun, but please dont feel bad if you cant. As for the weight hun, you looked great pregnant and quite thin too! But i guess pregnancy changes our bodies alot hey.

Jules- You lucky thing, having your very own live in personal trainer...any tips feel free to pass my way:D Hope you get the thrush prob fixed up nice and quick now, geez what a stupid dr and such alot of stuffing around:rolleyes: Im not looking forward to my smear, I bl00dy hate those things even tho I have given birth twice I still dread them!

TJ- I wish we loved closer and we could walk! Good Luck with the 12 week challenge! :smiliedance: Lochie for the 7 hour sleep!!! Thats great for a BF bub hun! Well done you must have nice strong concentrated bobie juice!! Oh and good luck little Lochie for his needles! Jordan sends some hugs and says "Be strong mate, youll be fine"

Taliistheword- They grow way too quick dont they, and yep I was very excited but also emotional on Baileys 1st bday!

Jkate- I can only imagine how flat chat you are hun with 3 boys! Glad you popped in tho to say hi!

All going pretty good here. Jordan sleeps from about 7.30 til 2.30 but even if I dream feed him at 10 he still wakes at 2.30 so Ive decided just to let him sleep. I was so exhausted getting 2.5 hours sleep then up for an hour sometimes longer and then back to sleep only to be woken by Bailey and DH alarm two hours later. But now dropping the dreamfeed I get longer so its all good and he is putting on good weight too He put on a whopping 260 grams this week!!!

I just did a one hour work out with my walk to slim DVD and boy did I get up a sweat, it was full on!!! Im determined to get rid of this horrid flabby belly and start to look like I used to! I just wish it would happen overnight LOL! Im very impatient! Been eating healthy too and combining it with Pilates so Im hoping in about 6 weeks Ill look a little better!

Anyways, I shouls head to bed now and make the most of my sleep before lil man wakes!

I know how you feel. The other day I was on the phone and was supposed to leave in 15mns but no one was ready. I got myself and the 3 kids dressed and in the car in that 15mns. I was so impressed with myself.
I actually have make up in the car and apply at lights and when we stop:thumbsup: It also helps I have a whole new wardrope so I don't have to find anything that fits.

As for the post baby weight, I have just gone with the flow this time. I have got all new clothes a size larger than before I had bubs and I am actually losing weight by not obsessing. My problem is I have discovered ice cream in turkish delight flavour:rolleyes:

Anyway thrush is getting better and the kids tongues are clear but have to keep going.

Can you get a script for daktarin?

So I have been super busy with dh's birthday which was fantastic no dramas which is a first. You know what some families are like, lol.
I just don't have a spare minute other than at feeding time or right now!! I must admit though I am coping very well with ds's tantrums dd1 being bored all the time and a baby.

Now ladies TUMMY TIME oh my goodness I have not even given dd a second on her tummy other than when she rolls. I just couldn't even imagine her on our floor. My 2 would smother her with hugs and kisses!!

Oh dd's length is 57cms and weight is now 4650 so she is growing very tall being that she is now 6 weeks! I also can't believe how long ago it was when I was wishing bubs out!

OMG I have two hands free :yelclap:

Jorbai, i'm feeling really down about my weight too  I kept on complaining to DH and he would say "Don't be so hard on yourself, you've just had a baby and you're doing well anyway!" mmmm whatever! So I decided to join weight watchers, online! It's fantastic! I wanted to do Herbalife because that is fantastic and I lost heaps of weight with it before, but because I'm BF I've been told not to do it until Ariane is on solids. I'm really anxious to lose the weight because I'm a bridesmaid for my sis's wedding in May! I'm also doing pilates, I LOVE it, just doing it at home, I have basic, advanced, ab sculpting and fit ball DVD's and they are fantastic, def recommend pilates! It's not too soon for you to do, just don't over do it! I know you've heard it before, but honestly, you do look fantastic in all the pics! Glad you've finally found a way to settle Jordan!

YMS, hope you find out what is bothering your little man! At least he is happy with the bottle for now!

Julz, Ariane does the same. I put her on her tummy on a pillow and she rolls down and onto her back, she loves it! Her eyes go all big and she has this really proud look on her face! Tee hee. Glad everything is going well with BF. Oh and you look fantastic too! You do!!

Hello Ladies!

Well everything is going good here atm. Bailey is almost 2 months old it has gone so fast it feels like only yesterday we were all wishing for these bubs to make an appearance. Bailey is still sleeping right through the night from about 9pm to around 7 or 8 am so I get great nights of sleep. I would be totally wrecked now if he were to start waking up through the night again.

Have not been on a real lot on my spare time I have been getting scrapbooking done as I need to cath it up. Have only done Bryce 1st cpl months of his album and he is 2 now so I got so much to catch up as well as the girls albums and Baileys.

Was hubbys Birthday on Monday he turned 32. We didn't do anything as he had to run around all day doing things for Archery as he is the only one that can do it as he is the only one from archery that has a week day off.

Hope everyone is doing ok. I had a quick read through posts. Hope everyone that has issues with Breastfeeding and thrush and other things, that it settles down for all of you.

Anyhow I am off to do a couple of things around the house and then get stuck into my scrapbooking again.

Bye Bye and take care all of you.

Hi everyone

Well we are still alive even if just barely !

Squeak is doing ok not as spewy now that he is being bf more & has comp feeds with AR formula so im a lot happier that its all staying down ! Will have him re-weighed on Sat when we see the doctor again so here is hoping we have more of a weight gain :fingerscrossed: Its just when he starts gagging etc that i freak out cause i hate it & cant do a damn thing about it. The screaming & crying is so unbelieveably hard to deal with.

While he is a very unsettled little man i really cant complain cause he is happy otherwise giving me lots of smiles that just make me melt. He also sleeps through anywhere after 9pm for a good 7hrs where i pop him into bed with me for a feed & he goes back off till im ready to drag myself out of bed ! Usually around 7 or 8am depending on how bad a nite we have had with Boof. He has been having lots of bad dreams lately so wakes up screaming & crying. Think its part of the whole jealousy thing also.

Boof is still being a total horror head which is what is also affecting my supply. Was on two lots of medication & of course the one thats been working great guns ive had to stop due to a reaction to it :banghead: So im just hoping i can keep up now otherwise it looks like a switch to formula full time which depresses me somewhat. Which i think is also adding to the stress *sigh*. Been trying to express but with little supply im lucky to get anything but will keep trying as it at least stimulates my boobs ! Poor Boof is having to cope with all of this so no wonder he is off the rails !

Toni - HOw do you do scrapbooking ?!?!?!? I only dream to get stuck into mine it makes me so depressed im hanging to do it !

cmd's - Awww chubby bub ! They are awesome heh !

OLT - Hope the thrush clears soon ! Im the same in regards to Squeak getting tummy tim there is no way its happening atm due to the way Boof is acting not hugs & kisses here im afraid but very rough play !

Jorbai - Wow sounds like you are on a roll pleas please motivate me !!!!!! Thanks for your PM i appreciated it !

Jkate - Glad you popped back in we miss you !!!!!!!! Please please come back soon ! Hope things settle soon for you all, must be hard having a house full now !

TJ - Wow your little man is a shorty how cute !!!! Squeak is into a lot of 000's already due to his length shame he cant fill them out ! If it wasnt for the cloth nappies he would look ridiculous !!!

Ok sorry got to end it there im being called for a feed & quite heartily at that !

Take care all !

Just a quick update. Went to the Dr's yesterday with Christian and he does have silent reflux. Apparently they don't treat all babies with reflux but because he's was bad enough that I had to switch to AR formula he was prescribed Zantac. Hes already much more relaxed and settled. Im still going to continue the half breast and half bottle feeding...it just seems to be working and we r both happy. Hes cord still hasn't closed so we r going back next week to get silver nitrate to close it, he also has a tiny belly button hernia. It all sounds alot worse than it is.
He got weighed and was 4.9kg with clothes so about 4.80kg naked. THats a 1.2kg gain ovr 7.5weeks.

I'm having a nite out with the ladies I go to playgroup with tonight, going out for thai...im lookin forward to it!

I'l pop back later for some personals!

Shilo- Glad to hear your losing your baby weight, maybe I should stop stressing about it too!

mumzdaword- I know what you mean about neglecting, Im only getting back on a little more regularly now!

cmds mum- Thanks for making me feel better hun, I needed to hear all these nice words! Im just so sick of trying on my clothes and thinking how tragic they look on me now. But at the same time I feel sick to go and buy a size bigger. Silly I know but I keep hoping Ill get back to what I was. Glad to hear Ariane went so great with her needles! Good Girl little Miss A!!!

Toni- It must be in the name as my little Bailey was sleeping thro early too! Lets hope Jordan follows the same path! Love the pics of him in the albums thread! Such a cutie!

Ally- No probs about the PM. Believe it or not, I dont even know you IRL but I always think each day wonder how Ally is going?! I really hope it all works for you hun, you certainly are one strong women! :yelclap: for Ally and her determination:yelclap:

Monique- Ooooh dinner just the two of you!!! Im jealous! LOL! Have a fab time hun and relax for your kids free time! (bet youll secretly be missing your girls and the ever precious Tyran!)

Steph- Glad to hear the Dr gave you something for Christian. Silent reflux is a terrible thing for you and bub. I hope the Zantac helps him. Good on you for doing both bottle and breast? How do you do it and keep your supply?

Well I have had a good day! A lovely friend called over today for morning tea and gave me a loan of her baby bjorn and I love it! I have a theodore bean carrier and its a pain in the butt- it has so many clips that I cant put it on by myself which kinda defeats the purpose of it really.

So I went down to the shops with it and Bailey in the pram to get a money order to pay Jordans baby pics company and would you believe after getting both kiddies in the car and trying to get down quick before Jordys feed I gets there and walks to post office...

I forgot the bl00dy slip that has thier details:banghead:

You all know what an effort it is to get one baby in the car let alone two! So off I trot home and Im gonna go back later this arvo. Silly Silly me!

happybirthday Monique, I hope you have a wonderful night out with your man!

YMS, so good to hear Christian is reacting well to the Zantac! Hopefully things will just get better and better from here on! :fingerscrossed:

Leane, that is SOOOOOOOO something I would do! Hey when you have a toddler and newborn, you're allowed to do those things!Good on you for the exercise! My DH wants to get me an exercise bike so I can do that 12 mins fast and 12 slow or whatever technique to lose weight quickly. It was recently on a show on TV, some professor proved that if you did that for 20 minutes a day (12mins fast then slow, I think need to check with DH again, who used to be a gym freak  ) you lose weight quicker than just normal exercise! Oh and don't worry, i am very impatient too!!

Ariane was sreaming last night when DH was changing her nappy, (she hates nappy changes only sometimes though, depending on her mood ) and I was cuddling her afterwards and I said "Is daddy naughty because he changed your nappy? she goes " yeeeahhhh" then I said "Oh daddy is so naughty for changing your pooey nappy" and she goes "Yeaahhhh" HAHA!!! I know she doesnt understand, but it's so cute how she always communicates and replies to my convos with her.........heehee

Anyway, have a load of washing to fold and put away, JOY, NOT! Better get to it, have a great night girls!

Steph - thats great news about the znatac, and good on you for sticking with the half BF!!
Hope he is feeling much better, and that the hernia and belly issues get sorted asap.
Have fun out with the gals - oh was that last night??

CMD - thats hilarious!! Cheeky little girl!!
Its those moments that you just cherish huh.

Leanne - i know that feeling... grr i did the same thing but at medicare. and it was such a bloody hassle as that was the ONLY reason i was going to the shops.
DAMN BABY BRAIN!!

Happy b'day for yesterday Monique, hope you had a lovely day!!

Lochie went for his needles yesterday and he was fine while he got them, let out a tiny squeal and then went straight to sleep.
They also give a new oral vaccine as well now and took it all without a fuss or spitting it out.
He was a little crotchity for the rest of the arvo, and wanted lots of cuddles which was fine by me i didnt feel like doing anything yesterday.
His temp got up to 38.4 last night so i was getting a little worried but it started coming down after some panadol and some more boobie juice.
Poor little fella, he is still sound asleep in bed!!

Hello to everyone else i have missed

Well we have joined another playgroup which is great for us. I love getting the kids out the door early and then coming home for naps and then the day is a lot less stressful as the kids are not bored.

Well ds is sick again and just sooking for me every 5 seconds. Poor lil mite he has been sick so much this year and his imune system has no chance of picking up!!

Well I better go:wave:

TJ, glad to hear Lochie's temp has come down. I read your thread and was wondering what ended up happening, I remember you saying he was due for his shots, that's why I thought his fever may have been a result of those! Glad it's gone down though! The nurse should've given you a list of all the possible reactions of the vaccinations?

Monique, glad you had a good night!

OLT, we are under pressure for these brides arn't we? :D I was telling my sis today that maybe she should put someone else in my place as bridesmaid because I don't think that i'll be back in shape and she was like "oh Shut up!!" Hope you little man starts feeling better. He has been sick quite a few times these past few months poor thing!

Well, everything good here. Ariane is good, she has a weird routine, she will sleep through till appx 6 am or later every morning have a feed go back to sleep till about 9ish then have a feed, play and sleep again. She will sleep for say 2 1/2 to 3 hrs then get up, feed play and i'll put her down, she'll sleep for about an hour, fuss, sleep, wake, fuss, sleep wake. Until I could'nt be bothered and pick her up. She will then do short naps throughout the rest of the day until she goes down for her o/n sleep. BUT this routine goes for 2 days, then the third day she will do play feed sleep routine, perfectly over 24 hours (except during the night sh sleeps straight through) text book baby ?!?!? Weird! Today was the text book baby day thankgod! Anyone else's bubs have weird routines like that?

When she was having tummy time tonight I put her on a pillow and she kept rolling off, it was soooooooooo hilarious, she absolutely loves it

Has anyone heard from Anna or Holly? Hav'nt seen them around in a while! Hope they're doing ok!

Holly molly, I can talk!:o

Have a great weekend girls!

HI everyone

While the kids are watching Barney (that show is scary!! LOL) I thought I would drop in for a quick Hi.

Things are not too bad here, had one of those days yesterday, were it was just one thing after another. DS3 is going really well, started to sleep through a night, but then when he has is first feed he brings most of it up. I have posted about it in the breastfeeding question. Sometimes I feel silly, being bub number 3 you would think I would know more.

I was going to do some personals, but it looks like DS2 doesn't like Barney - don't blame him - and he heard DS3 which means of course that I have to get him up LOL....might be able to get back on later to do some personals. Hugs to all:hugs:

OLT - the oral one was for ROTAVIRUS (sp) its a vomitting and the runs virus.
Apparently its only given to babies who are born after May now.

Cmd - yep i did get a list of side effects, it just said FEVER... i wasnt sure what was classed as a fever and didnt want to give panadol if it wasnt really needed you know.
Hope you start having more TEXT BOOK BABY DAYS!!!

Jkate - yay!! glad you are still around.
I LOVE YOU, YOU LOVE ME, WE'RE A HAPPY FAMILY!!
Haha the Barney, i just couldnt resist!!

Lochie is much better now thank god!!
and has pushed his last feed back to about 9-10ish now and then is going 6-7 hours.
So im happy with that - just he is a little bit "fussy" between 6 & 7 now where as before that was his bed time... cant win and have a happy QUIET bub all the time huh

My lil sis is having a sleep over tonight so she is hasseling me to get off here so she can chat on msn.... bloody kids!!

Well we had a doozie of a night here last night, lets say I didnt sleep at all:eek: Jordan would happily go to sleep but as soon as I lay him down his eyes pop open and hes wide wide awake. I tried leaving him but he stirs and stirs and tries to wrestle out of his wrapping.

Bailey is teething so has been clingy and whingy:hair:

To make it all better tho, Jordan smiled this morning and it was real not just wind!! It happened when I was saying to him "Lucky your cute or mummy would be mad being up all night in a cutsie lil voice". So he was probably laughing at me thinking, sucker she held me all night long haha:laughing: Cheeky lil monster.

Now its 3pm and he still has not slept today!

The joys of motherhood I guess! I must be tired coz Im laughing about it, I dont have the energy to be sad!

Hi Everyone

Just as i sit down to type i hear a huge bang on my front window & got the biggest fright, bloody bird flew into it thinking he was after another bird, tinted windows have their down side!

Anyways, just an update on the little man, who not really that little!

He had a check-up at 7.5 wks and was a little above 'average' in height & weight, so doing well. Were already starting to fit some of our 00 clothes as im finding the 000 are a little short in length.

We get huge gumby smiles all the time & he's just started to chuckle (only at daddy though). He seems to chuckle in his sleep alot, has been doing it for the last couple of weeks. I wanna know what's so funny?

Nayte had been getting bad colic of a night time right around 10pm through till around 1am most nights so i jumped on the net last week and tried to find 'reasons' as to why he might have it.
Came across dairy as being one of them so thought i would go off it for the day and see how he was at night, we had a NO COLIC baby that night.
So i thought perhaps it was a fluke, but no! still no colic the next night so im relieved to say the least.
Im on a no dairy diet now, not sure how long i should do that for though?

Still havn't been for my check-up, im scared of Dr's, always have been. I know i have to do it at some point though. Havn't weighed myself either, im just trying not too lose any more weight as im happy where i am right now. Im usually a size 6-8 in pants and i really don't find it appealing, id love to keep the little bit of a## that i have!

As for the toddler update, Jadah has been so good. Im truly blessed to have such a beautful natured girl, she loves Nayte to pieces and is so gentle with him.

I'll post some more pics of Nayte in the July album too.
Sorry bout not doing personals, Im really  at keeping up with everyone, but i do try to read everyone's posts!

Best be off...

All your bubbas are growling nicely.

Lochie is a bit slow in the length department.
He is still only 54cm which is only in the 5th Percentile!!
He is however dead on the 50th Percertile for his weight and h/c.
Hey im a shorty so it doenst leave him much to work with.
He is still in some 0000's but they are getting a little tight. 0000 pants are still fine tho, if anything they are prob still a little big around the waist
So its mostly 000's but they really do swim on him.

Leanne - happy for you to arrange a brissy meet - I dont care where it is really. How bout you organize it some where YOU can get to??
If not im happy to have it at my place??
I only live in a unit so its not overly huge, but depending on how many there are interested its always an option?? I live at Kedron

Tali - you could always get off at Wooloowin station and i could pick you up

Mel - the chuckles and smiles just make your heart melt dont they!! It sure makes it all worthwhile.

Bel - poor little bubba with the needles. Is everything ok now?Did he end up with a fever or anything??

Ally - hows BF going now?
and no my sis didnt give me toooo much grief, she just got on msn and chatted via web cam until the early hours of the morning

Ok Brissy girls, leave it with me and ill have a think! Not today as I had NO sleep last night and a screaming baby all day so my head is a bit fuzzy!

DH had to work back a little tonight and I had a sh*t day but when he got in he took over and I did my walk to slim exercise DVD and some fitball work and weights. I gotta start looking better, its totally depressing me:thumbsdown:

Monique- I know how you feel hun and good luck with the cross trainer! Can I ask how much they are? Im interested?

Tj dont worry too much about Lochies length honestly hun, good things come in small packages! Im short too! Bailey was a shorty too and he seems to be catchin up now!

Mel- Im hearing ya on the Colic, its nasty hey. I hate seeing my lil man in pain and not being able to help him other than cuddle and try help him get the wind up. Glad you have a good DD, my DS1 is an angel too (all except at the moment as he is getting molars so a bit unsettled). Hope the reduction of dairy helps. Jordan is FF so I have the Novalac colic and its lower lactose so perhaps lowering your dairy will help:fingerscrossed:

Bel- Glad to see your lil man is growing so nicely! Its good to see healthy bubbas!

I cant remember who posted but yeah I was wondering where Anna and Holly are too?:detective: Hope they are both well.

Ok im gonna go, really should head to bed and make up for not sleeping last night. DH is insisting on doing the night feed tonight. Luv him:D

Night girls:hugs:
