Hi!
Sometimes it is hard finding Elevit but you could try this website and order it online.

Hi there

Hang in there and keep searching for Elevit. I live in Canberra and just spent some time ringing around to each chemist and eventually found one that had heaps.

Good Luck!

We have a good supply of Elevit here in Adelaide. I'd just ring around. :)

Sometimes it's hard to get because it comes from overseas and Aust only gets a certain amount that is distrupted throughout the country. Keep ringing around and hopefully you should find some. If not, what Katie said about Blackmore's just as good if not better.

Hey Kristy,
I worked in Pharmacy for 3 years and Elevit was always out of stock from the company majority of the time! They seem to find it hard to keep up with the demand:confused: The manufacturers just didnt keep up the supply and still cant manage to do so!!!
I suggest Blackmores, it's REALLY good. I used it and it was fantastic...alot of my customer swore by it also.
Its better to start one that you know you can always get! Theres no point starting one that you're not going to be able to get your hands on in a months time...thats just my opinino :)
Always remember though that it generally takes a month for vitamins to kick in!

Where in QLD are you, you can get i at most places here in Brissy, it is behind the counter so you have to ask for it. It costs about $26 for a 30 day supply (30 tabs) but you can but it in larger boxes too
My OBS told me that the next best thing to elevit is fabfol although I havent tried it, apparently it is very much the same but a little bit cheaper.
Good luck!

$26! Rip! We get it for $22! And you can never find any of the 100 tab packs. After the PAN carry on, Roche stopped selling the 100's and now you can only find 30's.

Yeah, depends on the chemist, we can et them for around $22 in the larger chemists like Terry White but last time I bought some from a smalled more independant chemist they were $26. Terry White in Myer Centre still sells the larger boxes

Depends...None of the Pharmacies here do that but perhaps they've been getting nicked?

Not exactly sure why they are behind the counter, but on the box it says something like pharmacy medicine, which means that only pharmacists can dispence it - still none the wiser as to why this is:confused:

Good point Jellybean, thats probably the reason - at that price they probably were!!!:D

MMM yes the box has that pharmacy only label on them, but how come the blackmores and other brands don't? They were only $1.95 dearer than the others anyways

Blackmores is more expensive in Adelaide than Elevit. Blackmores is classified as a Vitamin Supplement (complimentary med) vs Elevit's higher levels of Vits and the fact that it's produced by Roche OS (which means it needs a lic to get imported) for some reason the TGA has made that Pharmacy Med. That doesn't mean it should be behind the counter - just only allowed to be sold by a Pharmacist.

Just one word of warning. My ob told me not to get blackmores as it was lower in iron and some mineral that helps absorb iron, than elevit. My bub scoffed all my iron constantly, so if youare very low in iron try to get elevit.

Yeah I agree...Blackmore's had me feeling drained, but changing to Elevit and I'm back to normal. It also canned the M/S due to the high level of B6. You need a good level of B Vits for absorption of Folate.

Well I am even more glad I went for Elevit!
As with all my pregnancies I tend to get low in iron and I also suffer terrible morning sickness. Thanks for all your help ladies!:)
