Western Suburbs Mother Group

Hi Girls,

I know theres a Young Sydney Mums meet up on the 14th in Manly, but its just too far for us girls out here in the west to get to (especially having bubs)! And also theres a few who do not have a car! I would have LOVED to come but its just too far for me to take petey, and to then have to come home again!

So i'm going to organise a western syd mums group meet up in the Mountains that way anyone who isnt too far can come...We'll most likely have it in Blaxland at the park there...its a very nice park and its just off the Highway :) If you know of any other suburb in the mountains thats easy to get to and has a nice park feel free to suggest it...

That way whether your from the mountains, penrith, parra or anywhere in between you can come and its close to us all.
This was the original plan to begin with :o but we got a bit side tracked....so its back on girls!

I know theres a few of you who want to come like Tylers Mum, YoungMumSteph, Myself, Naomi and a couple of others...feel free to bring a friend of yours who also has kids too :)
Even if your not from western suburbs and you want to come, feel free, but we will be keeping it local for us at its easier for all :)

I dont know about you guys, but peter HATES big car trips so i cant really go anywhere thats a long way from home.

So the next thing is to organise a date....

Hey Elle,
With the western suburbs group i dont really want the girls to have to travel to parra, its just a bit too hard for some, thats why we'll keep our meet ups in penrith/mountains. A few months ago us Penrith mums tried to organise our group meet up but it was too hard with chrissy.
We're all from Penrith/Mountanis area, so we'd rather keep it in these areas as its easier for us all, especially with the bubs :)
Also, Naomi lives in Blackheath which is like an hour from Penrith, so its easier if we can just keep it around penrith area. And cos she's preggers and has a little one its a bit much for to travel further! :)
Your still more than welcome to join us, but we wont be moving our Penrith/mountains group meetings to any other areas...

I am near parra but I am happy to travel anywhere. I don't know the area very well but hey it can't hurt to go on an adventure :D

I can't really do January but once Feb hits I am all good. I have to move house next week sometime (if the real estate ever lets me know when...) and then I may have to go to my parents place in Victoria so Feb I will finally be free to do some things for myself, but I can do any day of the week!!

Hey Mumforone, I am happy to give you and bub a lift if you would like to come. I think we live fairly close to each other. I am always happy to have adult company in the car, especially for a drive all the way up the mountains!!

Mum for one, i would offer a lift but i have a little mitsubishi mirage and cant fit another baby seat i my car :( otherwise my pram doesnt fit! Thats the only thing i hate about my car...how its so small!
Well i think we should do it at the nepean river!! That way its not too long of a drive for you schmell :)
Its such a nice family friendly spot too...

Hey tylers mum, I am counting on the fact that my girls are adorable so no-one will even notice me!! I was so worried about no-one liking me when I went to the beach meet up but all the ladies were lovely and to my knowledge, not a harsh word has been said about anyone who went to that. Well, I couldn't sleep so I figure I am better off on here than staring at my ceiling.

DD2's godfather, who is one of our best friends, is a photographer so I get some really great photos taken for free :D I have about 1000 of DD1 that he has taken and DD2 is only 7 and a bit months old and I already have about 300 or so that he has taken of her and even more of both girls together. Only problem is they are all digital so I have to pay to get the ones I want printed. He prints the occassional one for me but I would send him broke if he printed all the ones I wanted :eek:

Nepean River is in Penrith, Just follow Jamison Road (off northern road) all the way down, go straight through the round a bout and it will take you there :) Not hard to miss at all!!:p

I put forward February 12th or 19th - both Sundays as the are either side of valentine's week but if DH's, DP's etc are going to do anything romantic it would be on valentine's day or on the friday or saturday night before or after - hopefully not sunday......

Unfortunately i will be on holidays on the 12th and 19th Feb so i won't be able to make it. But if you end up meeting again i would love to come. I'll just hop on and keep in contact for next time.

Oh and i'm in South Penrith and I am free pretty much every day as I don't work. Which is why i'm desperate to get out of the house! :)

Those two dates sound fantastic!!!
Mum for one...the locations at Nepean River on Penrith side...if you follow Jamison Road all the way down, go straight through the round about and continue following that road it will take you straight there.
The area we should meet is where all the kids play equipment is, so just look out for that area of the river and we'll be there :)
Kel sorry you cant make it, that would be great if you can come along to the next one though!! I live in North Cranebrook....:)

Ok Girls the official dates we can choose from are:

Saturday 18th February

or

Sunday 19th February.

We will meet at Nepean River on the Penrith side. To get there go onto the Northern Road which you can get to via Gt Western Highway or M4.
Then onto Jamison Rd, follow all the way down, go straight through ALL roundabouts and continue down. Road will take you straight to the river :) Will most likely meet where all the play equipment is, cant miss it!

I am available both dates (unfortunately am not available the wkend before or the one after as we have Peters christening).

Could everyone please state which one is better for you and going by majority we will pick the date :D
