Has anybody has this happen to them?

My period is now 4 days late. Test is saying negative, is it possible that I can still be pregnant? I used a Fortel early test. :confused:

Yes I have had this happen to me when I was late on my last period. My last period never came by the way ( I am 33weeks pregnant).

If you ovulate late in your cycle it takes longer for a test to detect the pregnancy as it is not far enough along to have elevated HCG levels. I know it is hard to do but wait a few more days and try again.

If after another week you haven't got your period and the test is still showing negative then you should see your doctor. The other possiblity is that you have a blighted ovum which is also known as a false pregnancy.

I am hoping that within a few days however you get a positive result and all is well. But just because nothing is showing yet, it doesn't mean there isn't hope.

Hi. I did 3 tests that showed up negative (I read the instructions very carefully), and my period was 16 days late. I thought maybe there was something wrong. I was sure I wasn't pregnant because of the test results.

I went to the dr and guesw what - I was six weeks pregnant!! I nearly fell off the chair with surprise.

So the tests don't always work!

If you're at all unsure, go and have a check at the docs. It's worth it.

Hi. I just did a wee sample at the docs, no blood test.

I still remember his words "There's no two ways about it, you're definately pregnant" and then he booked me in to see the obstetrician. That was it!
