Hello Gravel and Andrea and all the rest of my new 'virtual family',:D
Just back from doctors. I have seven follicles on my right ovary but for some reason he couldn't see the left side? So maybe I have more there too?
Anyway,he has reduced my puregon to 450 for the last few nights ( hopefully this will make me feel better) and I am scheduled for EPU this Friday at 12.30. After last time I am terrified I will inadvertently 'ovulate them away' so will be over-zealous on the Synarel. Scared, but trying to remain positive.:fingerscrossed:
Oh, and when I questioned why I haven't had blood tests he sent me for one ! (AND he has me booked in for another one on Wednesday before my next U/S? Go figure...)
Anyway, I am relieved . Going to try and have a really big sleep tonight - in between shots and waking up for Synarel at 6am !
I am so grateful for all of your advice and support over the last few days. No matter what happens, I will be a regular visitor to this thread, and I hope I can also be as supportive to you all as you have been to me ! You girls are just lovely !!
It is sad about Beatrice leaving us - I am so thankful to her for starting this chat in the first instance!
THREE CHEERS FOR BEATRICE !!!:yelclap:

That is good news Sharyn! :hugs:
Yes have a good night's sleep and look after yourself!
They said they couldn't see the left side? My ovaries hide when I get ultrasounds LOL They had trouble last time finding them, but eventually they surfaced! hehehe :D
Take care hun!
Congratulations SharynJ, seven follicles - well done, and some more hiding would be even better :smiliedance: !
Enjoy your sleep - you deserve it.
Also glad to hear he ordered some blood tests for you, if I have to cycle again I will ask for some too!
Take care everyone else and have a good evening.

Hi girls,
Thought i would just pop on and catch up with what has been happening. I had my scan this morning and have 10 follicles that are all growing a nice size. I will have my EPU this Thursday. Sooooo that means trigger tomorrow night. Well all this talk of me not having BTs and today i had one. It is to measure the estrog. level. I will find out tomorrow what time my EPU will be, but i am pretty sure it will be early morning. Not looking forward to it and am feeling rather uncomfortable at the moment. And feeling soooo soooo tired. I have had a little nap again this afternoon.
Sharyn that is good about your scan. seven follicles is great. Leanne, how did you go today?
Hello to everyone else on here. I am sorry that i am not writting personals but am rather tired, and feeling some what lazy.... Thankyou all for caring so much. :hugs: :hugs:
I will promise to catch up more tomorrow.
Hi Everyone. Im new here. I was wondering has anyone had side effects with the synarel?? I dont seem to have. Maybe a tad moody, but hey, i can be that way normally!!
I am waiting for my period so i can start the injections after that. Has anyone who has had the injections noticed any changes in their moods, personality??

Hi melswans! Welcome!!
You asked about Synarel... at first I didn't have any side effects, but I think the longer you use it the more likely you are to get some of the side effects, but then again everyone is different. I now get the headaches and have had a little acne (but that is gone now)... probably been a little more moody than usual and getting a little more tired (but that could be from a range of things as I have been super busy recently). I did initially have a blood nose too... :D But that is good that you have had no side effects :smiliedance:
I stopped the pill last Thursday and got my period on Saturday.... Wednesday I have a BT and then we will see when I start the injections... YAY!!! LOL
Take care!
Thanks Adrea, its good to hear everyones stories.
I stopped the pill Friday night.. its now Monday, so its on its way. I can feel it.
I could still get some side effects though from the Synarel so i will not jump up and down thinking i have escaped them just yet :)
I have been really tired lately too.. but i can get that way anyway.
We are at similar stages... its exciting to be doing this, but i know of another girl that was doing this, and it didnt work for her, and now its put her off, she said it was very draining.
I guess it all comes down to the type of person you are, how you handle stress and how much you want a baby.
Goodluck. :fingerscrossed:

That's so true... everyone has different levels of coping and personalities, etc...
Which clinic are you going to?
Im in Adelaide. I am going through Flinders Reproductive Unit.
Good Evening Ladies
Sunnyday - Way to go! That's great news and only three more sleeps. Good for you.
Melswans - Welcome, have to confess I had no symptoms from the Synarel, didn't mind using it at all. As for being moody, am afraid you would have to ask DH that, but he would probably say I was no different to normal!
Take care,
Miss Ellie

Sharyn, that’s a great result from your scan, especially if you have some more hiding on the other side. I hate having the scans it feels like they are moving all my innards around and I get a kind of low level period pain afterwards. And hopefully you will feel better on reduced Puregon. EPU on Friday, how exciting!! And how funny about him sending you for a BT now that you’ve asked, who knows what is going on there! :hugs:
Sunnyday, great going on your follicles too, and good luck for your EPU on Thursday.:D I was scared when I had mine but relieved to be getting rid of the horrible feeling in my ovaries. It was early in the morning too, 8am I think so I had to be there at 7am. In a way that was good, I didn’t spend half the day stressing about it, I just got up, showered and went in.
melswans, I don’t recall any side effects on the Synarel last time, but I can often be tired and moody anyway so I probably wouldn’t have noticed those things. I start Synarel on Friday for this cycle so I’m going to take more notice of whether I have any side effects this time. And I didn’t mind spraying it in my nose (apart from the taste when it ran down my throat eugh) but I use a lot of allergy medication that is sprayed up the nose so I’m used to that sort of thing.
Now, has anyone noticed the time on this thread? At the bottom of the page it gives the time and it seems to be about an hour fast.
Hello to Shajake, Gravel, ivfmummy, and anyone else out there reading this message! :D
I’m just waiting for DH to tell me is hungry before I cook dinner. I’m making a special meal tonight (for no particular reason), chilli prawn linguine. Yum. I’ve done all the peeling and deveining and chopped the garlic and the chilli and the tomatoes, measured out the wine etc etc so all I have to do is cook it.
And I’ve kept up the treadmilling, 25 minutes yesterday and today! Yay! When I was in Coles today it took ages because I stopped and read all the nutrition labels of things we normally eat to see how many kilojoules they have. It was certainly an eye-opener.
We’re going out for afternoon tea at the Hyatt (Canberra’s most upmarket hotel:cool: ) tomorrow with my cousin and her husband and little boy, and my mother and an aunt and some other rellies. My cousin’s mother died in June last year of cancer, it was really sad she was only 62 or 63 and we all grew up together so she was like my second mother (her and my mother and the other aunt coming tomorrow are sisters). Anyway, her birthday is/was 25 April and this is the first one since she died so we’re having a bit of a get together. Should be a good day.
Back to work on Wednesday, I’ve been off since Easter, which has been nice but time goes so quickly on holiday! Then Synarel starts Friday.
Have a great evening everyone, I’ll be around off and on tonight. DH wants his dinner now.

ivfmummy, it was really yummy. I haven't been cooking much lately but when I do I wonder why I don't do it more often.:D
How is your evening going? I'm watching BB (it was taped) right now.

Miss Ellie - Glad to hear your dinner was a success!! :chef:
I love cooking and have to boot my DH out of the kitchen as he is a good cook too LOL
I watched BB last night and I am not sure that I will watch it this year.... they are all again sooooo young (but then again maybe I am sooooo old LOL) :D
We had soup for dinner.... very nice, although I am still a bit hungry. I think my appetite has increased since being on the Synarel..... :D Anyway, that's my excuse hehehe
Miss Ellie
24-04-2006, 21:05
ivfmummy, I agree the BB housemates do seem incredibly young and they are all so good looking it is a bit depressing! I was so amazed when they announced Karen was 36, of course I know now why she is in there!
I always feel a bit let down at the start of each BB season because I don't know anyone and they all blend in with each other but eventually I get my favourites and unfavourites :D .
antoniasmum
24-04-2006, 21:19
Miss Ellie - Yes it doesn't take long to work out your faves/dislikes on BB. :detective: There always seems to be some kind of Reality TV on in my house... it hard not to watch sometimes... easy to get sucked in. I personally love the eviction shows... LOL Just wish they had all ages on in BB... be more interesting.
Hi all
well i had my scan and bt this morning. at the scan they said i have 13 follicles on each side. although they havent grown enough just yet, they are only 12mm. so i have to keep doing the injections and spray and have another scan and bt on friday.
i was so disappointed that my follicles hadnt grown enough. as i was looking forward to getting a date for the epu. i was also hoping it would be this week. as soon as i got in the car after the scan i had a cry. i have even had lots of abdo pain so i really though they would be big enough.:crying:
when i got home i spoke to dh and he said that, not everyones cycle goes by the book and it is just taking my a little longer. but he said at least they are growing. so he told me to stop stressing and let my body and the drugs do their job. so he have been really good about it.
it was also had to read that to other people on the thread are having epu this week. and i was so hoping it would be me as well. but dont get me wrong sunnyday and sharyn i am very happy that it is all happening for u too. good luck and i wont be to far behind :fingerscrossed:
sorry for all the :ecomcity: :ecomcity:

Hi Leannej - All will be ok.... still is a good result, although disappointing as you wanted the transfer this week. :hugs:
Do you have to work this week?
yeah i worked today. have tomorrow off and back on wed. although my app on friday is at 10.15bt and 10.45 scan and i start work at 9am. so i will have to start work late. but my boss should be ok about it (to bad if shes not).
Miss Ellie
24-04-2006, 22:41
Leanne, your scan result still sounds good and if you have to wait a little longer it is just as your DH says, not everyone is the same. Fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: for Friday; I'm sure that all is still well. Of course I know how stressed we all get over perceived setbacks so please keep telling us how you feel and I'm sure everyone will keep on reassuring you. :hugs:
ivfmummy a range of ages would be better definitely! My favourite year of BB was the one Reggie won, and there was more of a range then I think, and also the year before last (Trevor won) is probably my second favourite and it had people in their thirties. We slightly older people are being underrated for entertainment value I think... at least shows like Survivor still have a broad range of ages and people, not just young and hot. Oh well its only TV after all.

I'm definitely going this time, good night! Have a good day tomorrow, everyone. :smiliedance:

Hello everyone,
Hope you are all doing well today.
Leanne, I have just read your post and don't worry you will be fine. At least they are still keeping you going on the inj, that means i would think that they are thinking that by Fri all of those follicles will have grown lots. I know that they will of and then you will have your date for EPU. I remember on my very first ivf cycle i had taken the spray and inj and had my first scan and they made me stop everything, because the follicles weren't growing how they liked. I was so upset, but went on and did the next cycle when it was time. I stressed the whole way through, but it all worked out good in the end. So, think of your cycle this way, they know it is going to work this time, so don't stress too much, its all good!!!!!:hugs:
Jen, How are you going? I hope all worked out well for you yesterday and can't wait to here all about it. Hope your resting well and aren't too sore. Take care...:hugs:
Bradysmum, It was so good to hear from you. I thought that you might of left us too. I was beginning to worry. Wow Brady's in his own room, how fantastic for you. Well it will be when you get used to it. Were you up all night checking on him? I know i would of been. Now think of all the reading you can catch up on. I'm proud of you for making that huge step. :smiliedance:.
Well, i suppose you are wondering about me.....I haven't been doing too much, just hanging around the house. Waiting now for Thursday. I have to ring my nurse soon to see what time i have to do my trigger tonight. Not looking forward to doing it. When i did my inj this morning it just kept on bleeding. Yuk. I must of done something wrong, but then again it was near a bruise so that might of been the prob. Anyhow, tonight is the last inj, no more drugs for tomorrow. How wonderful!
I am glad to hear that everyone is doing so well. Keep it up.
Have a great day!!!!
Hi to everyone
hope you are all having a nice relaxing day off.
thanks to everyone for all your support, everyone is so great.
sunnyday good luck with your trigger. let us know how you go with it.
well dh is at work today. so i went to go to the shops but when i got there i realised they dont open till after 1pm (not fair). well im off to my brothers for a bbq luch with all my family which should be nice.
hey i was just watching bb live on the net. and this year the time is limited and your only aloud to watch it 3 times in the one day. the only way you can watch it unlimited is by paying. i think that really sucks. last year i use to watch it when every i could on the net.
is anyone as mad as me and watches it on the net as well.
also the photo is of my new bathroom.

Hello everyone! I have been reading the chat messages for about a week now and have found it comforting to hear so many others who are going through the same thing. My DH and I have been TTC for almost 2 years now. This is my 6th clomid cycle and have been referred to an IVF specialist at the end of May. It's been getting really hard to deal with things emotionally lately since almost all my friends are either pregnant or just had a baby. I just found out that my sister in law is expecting also. Anyways, I know that IVF is the best next step for us but I'm just concerned about the amount of time I'm going to have off work. I'm a teacher so I feel horrible having time off. I also live 2 hours from Melbourne so will have to travel to the Monash IVF clinic and take the day off. Can anyone give me an idea of how many days are required for each part of the cycle? I know everyone's different but I just want to prepare myself. Good luck to everyone!
hi believer and welcome to this thread its great.
well im about half way through my first cycle and i to go to monash.
so far i have had to go there to get everything started and had to take the day off for that. then i met with the nurse but made it a morning app, so i then went to work. i have also been there for 3 blood tests and scans and have another scan and bt on fri.
but the are good at monash clatyon as all my app have been able to be made for early in the morning so i can still go to work. although that might be hard for you as you live so far away.
oh and then of course theres the epu and et that are days off as well. but so far i have only had one day off, but soon to be another 2.
hope this helps

25-04-2006, 13:35
Hi Believer,
Welcome!
You asked about the amount of days off needed? Well I guess it all depends on what kind of treatment you will be going thru.... I gather that each time you have to go to have a blood test and seeing a Doctor/Nurse etc... you will need a day off... If you were in my shoes then you will have already had 5 days off... and tomorrow I have another blood test so that will be 6. You will have 2 appts with your Doctor, one with your Nurse and one with a Counsellor, but quite often you can have 2 or 3 appt in one day.... just depends. And everyone is different and it will depend on your treatment. It's not too bad... I am in the middle of my 1st cycle. I will have another blood test and scan on the 5th May before the week of the 8th when they will do the transfer, etc.... :fingerscrossed:
I understand you not wanting to take any days off, etc...
Which Monash Clinic will you be attending?
T/C and Best of Luck!!

ivfmummy, I love the quote in your signature! Good luck with your BT tomorrow.
Hi Sharyn, today is a typical Canberra autumn day. Chilly enough inside to have the heater on (except I haven't because DH doesn't like it) but beautifully sunny and warm outside. Have you ever been to Canberra? Autumn is spectacular here. I'm not going to any Anzac Day ceremonies, too lazy to get up for dawn service I'm afraid. :D
Jen, how are you? How did yesterday go?
Sunnyday good luck with your trigger. The bleeding isn't very nice, is it. I don't usually bleed with injections but the last trigger I had bled like crazy! I think it was because we rushed it because we had visitors over and DH just stuck it in really quickly eeek! And I was wearing a white skirt, luckily my t shirt hid the blood seeping out. I hope yours goes more smoothly.
Leanne, your bathroom looks great. I'm disappointed about changes to the BB web site too, not so much the live stream, but the other news and things that you have to be a premium member for. Nasty BB people!
Believer, hi and welcome to this thread, I hope you stick around, there are so many great people here. In answer to your question and in addition to what the others have told you, I also had to have a couple of weeks off last time because I had OHSS and was really sick. Hopefully that doesn't happen to you (or anyone else here) because it was AWFUL. Apparently my body didn't react how my doctor expected a 38 year old body to react. My clinic does BTs and scans between 7:30 and 9am so everyone can get them done before work.
I've been planning meals for the rest of the week (through to Sunday) today and making a shopping list. I haven't done it for ages so I feel like I'm getting back on track. I also did my treadmilling today so that's going well still. We're going out for afternoon tea today and I'll go grocery shopping after that. I hope the shops are open!
I'll be back later, bye for now.
Hi Everyone
Leanne - You're doing really well with all those follicles, keep up the good work and am sure it will all work out. Mine did nothing at all and I ended up double dosing for an extra week, think they grow at roughly 2mm a day. Love your bathroom!
Believer - Welcome! Hope your journey is short and enjoyable. Am afraid I can't offer any time scales, my clinic was extremely accommodating as we live four hours away - aside from a few scans, the epu and et, it was all done at home, bt at local GP - they even couriered my meds!
Miss Ellie - Prawn linguine? Wow, yum. Hope your afternoon tea went well, even though a sad occasion must be nice to catch up.
Sunnyday - Thinking of you, hope trigger goes well and, yes, enjoy your drug free day!
IvfMummy - :D Great signature!
Am hoping our little embie enjoyed the Anzac Day celebrations and decides to stick around. Am feeling very relaxed about life right now.
Happy day to you all!

Hello Lovely Friends:) ,
Bradysmum - he is just sooo adorable. I think it would have been daunting seeing the little cutie in the cot ! Good luck !! Did he sleep through?
IVFMummy - Will be thinking of you tomorrow. I a pretty good today physically but starting to get really scared as having trigger tomorrow night and last time I accidentally ovulated (?) all my follicles but one away before EPU so terified that this may happen again. I just noticed I have been on the synarel for 22 days this time and last time it was 26 - wonder if that had anything to do with it? So many questions and the doctor can never give me a definitive answer! ll I can do is pray ! Thanks for your concern - I can't believe I have only been using this thread a few days - I feel like you are all my friends !!
Miss Ellie - How are you? I was in Canberra for the first time this time last year. I work in travel so went down on a 'famil' - I loved it. I really long to get back so I can have more time at all of the excellent attractions ! Oh, and I fell in love with the food at Belluci's in Dickson ! It was the best Italian !MMM, am hungry now.
Believer - hang in there babe ! It IS really hard when everyone is effortlessly having children around you - but you have us to talk to now:hugs: ! I have shed many a tear about all of the births around me over the years - and then feel incredibly guilty. It can be really hard to take even though I always love the kids to bits - I want some of my own !! So darl, we all know how you feel and you can vent to us anytime!!
Well, one more day of synarel - hopefully for the last time EVER!! All going well, we will get two implanted. STAY POSITIVE SHARYN.....WE WILL GET TWO IMPLANTED !!!
God, it's easy to say. I am feeling sick with nerves. How can I stop ovulation this time? ANY HINTS?? I'd do naked cartwheels up the main sreet if I thought that was the trick!!
Okay everyone, enjoy the rest of Tuesday and I will be back tomorrow, all going well. Doctors at one o'clock, then have to go to the fertility clinic to collect the trigger. It's all hapened so quickly this time !
Much love and strength to you all!
Good evening ladies.
As per usual, I had lots of posts to read.
Miss Ellie...Hello to you too...Good luck with starting Synarel on Friday, I hope this cycle goes according to plan. I'm proud of your exercising efforts, you've inspired me to start exercising again.
Leanne...Great job on the bathroom. I'm sorry to hear about your follicles being big enough, keep it up and I'm sure you'll be having your EPU in no time.
Bradysmum...Hello and how are you? How did Brady go in his own room. I remember the first time we moved Jake (and he was much younger), I don't think I slept at all that night. We had a monitor though so that was reassuring.
Sunnyday...How did your trigger go? Good luck for Thursday
Believer...Welcome and good luck with your cycle...I hope you stay around, this thread is fabulous
Ivfmummy...Good luck with BT tomorrow.
Seems like there's a lot going on here at the moment. To everyone I haven't named personally, a big hello and I hope you are all okay.
As for me day 2 of Synarel and so far so good...The only thing I have is a headache and occasionally feeling a bit of nausea...It will be interesting to see what changes once I stop taking the pill on Sunday :smiliedance: I expected the taste to be worse...It's not great but I've tasted worse things down my throat so I guess that it's not too bad...I do try and drink or eat something but it's okay.
I have a question though, I will have taken Synarel for 14 days by the time I see my dr on May 8. I'll be having an ultrasound, what happens then? Will they tell me then when to start injections? I've just been reading the thread and I'm a bit confused as it seems that most of you have had lots of stuff done already...Is it different at every clinic? For those who have been through or currently are going through Melbourne ivf, what happened during your cycles and how long were you on stuff before starting your injections?
Sorry for the long post but I had a lot to say and ask tonight.:ecomcity: :ecomcity: :ecomcity:
I will check a little later, my DH has to do some client work so he will need to use the comp but I will check in again later.
Hi Sharyn, we must have been posting at the same time. Good luck tommorrow. :fingerscrossed: it all goes well

Thanks Shajake !
I have been trying to go to sleep - here I am again!!:)
In response to your questions, it definitely seems like each clinic are very different in their approach. I guess we really have to take a leap of faith and trust that they are the experts. I was getting confused and upset that I wasn't getting the same tests etc as some of the others , but ( for the sake of keeping stress low) I am going to give my full trust to the CFC. :fingerscrossed:
In regards to the Synarel headaches, I was getting them pretty badly. Miss Ellie reminded me last week to drink LOTS of water. Since I have started to do this, they have subsided in their strength - thank goodness! Hope this helps !( The clinic had told me to do that last time, but I am sooooo senile with the drugs, that I had forgotten!:o )
Anyway, I will try and get back to sleep. Good luck with everything and we shall catch up soon!
Hi everyone -
My name is L.j and I have been following your chats for the last few days. I'm not sure if this is going to get through as I am a novice!! Thought I tried last night but maybe did something wrong? My hubby and I are going thru IVF. Hopefully about to go into our 3rd transfer. Its great to see that we are not alone - I definaltely think being able to "talk" about IVF with others in similar situations is going to be a great help.
Hope this works so will be able to chat again
Thanx - L.j

Hello everyone,
Sorry for being missing in action the last couple of days - as you may be aware I had me EPU on Monday. I originally had 12 follicles. From those 12 follies they got nine eggs. Eight of these were suitable for ICSI and as I type, six have fertilised. I have to go in for my transfer tomorrow - very exciting.
I am struggling with the idea that as of tomorrow I will be the closest to being pregnant that I have ever been. The last two days have been an absolute roller coaster of emotions for both myself and hubby with many tears shed but we know that our efforts will all be worth it in the long haul.
For those of you nearing your EPU who haven't had one before, mine was basically fine. I don't remember a thing of the procedure except waking up a bit disoriented and distressed (where did those tears come from?) As for pain, I have what I would describe as slight period pain and the tiniest speck of bleeding. My biggest complaint is the massive bruises I have on both of my arms where they attempted to put the cannula (sp?) in. One arm they weren't happy with but thankfully got a vein in the second arm. Boy are those bruises very purple :(
I hope everyone is traveling well. Best of luck to all of you getting close to EPU and transfer. :hugs: to those in the TWW and a big  to each of you currently sniffing or jabbing. Finally, welcome to our newbies
Will attempt some personals when I get my head together. Sunny I will be looking for you on msn - we have a sister to talk about!!! :D

Congratualtions Jen !!
Six fertilised is terrific!!:yelclap: I hope we do as well. My EPU is Friday and transfer scheduled for Tuesday ( all going well).
I can relate to the tears Jen ! Hubby and I cried a lot of tears of joy last time when we had ONE fertilsied - so six must be amazing! Our egg didn't progress properly so we didn;t get to transfer stage - but you will have LOTS !! I am very happy to hear of your good news and will be thinking of you over the next few days.
Anyway, off to the doctors soon so will check in this evening to see how you all are!
Good luck with the transfer Jen!!:fingerscrossed:

Hi Sunflower,
Just read yourquery ( BTW, I don't think anything is TMI amongst us !:) ). Anyway, my period is usually heavy and crampy but on my IVF cycles it has been completely different - no pain, very little bleeding?. So, I would suggest you do call the clinic and explain it to them. They will be able to let you know - I am sure they are used to getting such calls !!
GOOD LUCK SUNFLOWER.
Hello to everyone else and hope you are all well !!
Hi Sunflower. I have been waiting for mine too. They started a bit last night, but full flow today.
I would wait for full flow... i guess, or maybe ring them if you are a bit unsure.
I have to go to the hospital tomorrow morning and have my first injection.. then do them myself or my husband will do them each day. Im very nervous about that!!!
Im nervous about it all, pick up as well. Out of the people on here who have had pick up.. can anyone tell me the pain factor and if you just nod off to sleep etc etc...
Thanks.

Thanx for your reply Melswan and Sharyn, I guess will just wait for full flow. I think I'm just overreacting I've been so emotional in the last few days don't know why  I just want this to all work out and now af is stuffing me around I feel like I'm never going to start my treatment!
It is pretty stressful. Mine were a bit late this month, and i put that down to stress too. I kept wishing they would come. I have been fine with they Synarel though. Which is good.
Goodluck.
Happy day everyone!
Shajake - While taking the Synarel I went for an ultrasound to check that the lining was thin - which meant the sniffing was working and I was allowed to start injecting. This was what my FS explained anyway. Hope that helps.
Sunflower - Personally I would just ring, they can put your mind at rest and give you some guidance - that's their job.
Babybernie - Well done :smiliedance: , hope all goes well for your ET :fingerscrossed: .
LJ - Welcome, there always seems to be someone here to chat to! What kind of cycle are you doing?
All's well, it's a beautiful winter day in Tassie,
Take care
Gosh, just realised that sounded a bit harsh :o - that's their job! Don't mean it quite as it sounds, just that they are used to people like me ringing up with endless questions and I find the nurses at my clinic to be fantastic at calming me down and putting me back on track. Have never asked them anything they can't answer.

Hey Everyone
Sorry I haven't had to time to read your post I promise I'll catch up later
so sorry if the following is tmi
I have a dilemma as you all know I'm waiting for my af, well the nurses said to ring on day 1 which is as they explained it red blood before lunch if it starts in the afternoon or at night ring the next day. Well af was due yeasterday but I got a little bit of red blood 6 o'clock last night and a tiny bit at 8 this morning but nothing since I don't have any period pain or anything! usually when she comes it just starts bleeding red straight away, I don't know what I should do? should I ring or just wait till I start bleeding properly (not that I feel like I will  )

ADVICE PLEASE LADIES !??
How did everyone keep their mind of things in between the EPU and the transfer? Last time I was fretting - waiting to get the call from the lab to see if any had fertilised. It was so hard and trying. As it is coming up again, I would be grateful to hear of any tips to get my mind off it. I must say it was the longest weekend of my life. I was literally counting down the minutes. When the phone rang, I would jump in fright - I was so nervy. I would really like to avoid another weekend like that. HELP GIRLS !!
Any tips would be terrific ! I am anxious already. I know they say to avoid stress - but how???

Sunflower, Hi, if i were you i would give your clinic a call, they won't mind at all and they will tell you what to do. This same thing usually happens to me. You just never know if to call or not, but it would be better to give them a call instead of worrying yourself all day.....you will feel much better!!!
Is there something wrong with me or are the posts running a bit out of sync? Am used to the times being out but this is something new.
How's your drug free day going Sunnyday? Will be :fingerscrossed: for tomorrow.

Hello to everyone,
I had my trigger last night, i was stressing so much about it, my DH helped, but would you believe i acutally did the inj by myself. I felt a little funny afterwards, but nothing too bad. I just went to bed early. I am feeling not too bad today, just a few little pains every now and again and just that aching feeling in my tummy. Tired still, but all of that is normal. It feels much better this cycle than the last cycle i had where i felt too full and about to burst!!
I have my EPU tomorrow morning, so we will see what happens, hopefully i will get lots of eggs. I am a little nervous about it. I think someone was asking before if it hurst when you do EPU, but it doesn't. You get sedated and pain killers. To me it hurts later on, after your home, but i am just a small person and i think it affects me. I am scared though, just the thought of it all.
Sharyn, good question about the keeping your mind occupied. I think maybe just get some movies and a good book?? Thats what i am going to do, if you feel up to it, maybe have a nice dinner out with you DH, or what about going to the movies??. This cycle to me has flown by, so i am hoping that this weekend does as well. I have everything planned out, as i already have two DDs i have to have everything organised, i stress about that as well, but my mum will be coming and i have my lovely DH as well. If you have your EPU on Fri what day will you have your ET? Mine is on Tues.
Gravel, Hi, how are you going? Keeping busy?
Jen, That is great news :smiliedance: , i am glad you are fine!! Talk with you soon.
Hello to everyone else, it is all happening, very busy on here!! Take care :hugs:
Hi Sharyn
Am with Sunnyday on that one, maybe movies and a good book. I did the same and completely stressed out between EPU and ET, probably the worst time of the whole cycle - although this 2ww comes a close second! If we have to do it again would definitely consider planned activities of some kind.
Sorry can't be of more help!
Sharyn J
26-04-2006, 15:38
Thanks Gravel & Sunnyday for your advice !
I am glad to hear I am not the only one who goes mad at this time. Gravel, you will have to tell me how you get through this 2WW - whilst I am desperate for it to happen, am, scared of how anxious I will be. I have taken time off work - is that what everyone else does? Work are organising a laptop so I can do some work from home - hopefully this will keep me busy and keep the mind off everything else. Oh Gravel, I have everything crossed that this works for you.
I feel incredibly GOOD today:smiliedance: ? I was worried this must mean that I had 'ovulated my eggs away' again but the Doctor assured me he can see 9 good follicles on the right side - my left side is still 'hiding' so who knows?! I have been gigggling all day and my belly feels the best it has in ages? I will enjoy this while it lasts!
Sunnyday - I am having the EPU on Friday and the transfer on Tuesday as well ! WOW ! We are going to have babies at exactly the same time  ( positive, positive, positive!!). I also feel that this cycle has flown compared to the last one. My Mum is also coming and I also have a lovely DH to help. Lucky you having DD's as well ! It must be hard trying to get everything organised though -I only have myself to worry about this time around!! Good luck to us !!! My EPU is for 12-30 on Friday - I will be thinking of you !:hugs: Let's hope soon we will be talking about our impending bubs !!!!
Everyone else, I cannot emphasise enough how marvellous this whole thread has been and I hope I can be just as supportive when you guys need it ! You are all a bunch of very special ladies !
I am getting weepy now - blasted hormones !
Thanks again for all of your help and advice. I look forward to continuing to share these experiences with you all.
Hi Guys, i just wanted to ask a question.
I start injections tomorrow, day 2 of my period. So how do they affect you? How have they affected others on here... and when.. how soon did it start.
Also, would i have a vaginal ultrasound tomorrow?? another person i know who has been through this was under the impression that i would?? I thought i was going just to learn how to do the injections and start that..

Hi Mel,
In response to your question, I don't think the injections are too bad. A little sore when you do it ( NOT as much as I originally anticipated) and I think they make me more tired than usual. Apart from that, I think my side effects with Synarel are worse (headaches, teariness etc!). BUT, as you'd be aware from being in this thread, everyone is very different in their reactions . I will be interested to see what the other girls have to say ! GOOD LUCK!!
Miss Ellie, just wanted to say a quick hello, and hope all is going well. I am bit jealous of you being in such cuddly weather in Canberra. It is getting a little colder up here - but not as much as I would like ! The only time I have the opportunity to stay snuggled up under the doona and it's too darn hot! It's always greener on the other side isn't it?!:) Anyway, i look forward to hearing how you are going !!
Good night ladies - have to get up at 12-30am for the trigger so going to try and have a little nap !
'See' you all soon !
Thanks Sharyn. Makes me feel better!! I havent had any reactions to synarel, somehow i dont think i will get away with this being smooth sailing!!
Hi Mel
During the cycle all my ultrasounds were vaginal and all performed by my FS.
The nurses explained how to use the injections and they were simple enough to give myself and didn't hurt at all. The only change I noticed while on the medication was that I was a bit emotional and on the very first day I felt a bit off colour until my body settled down. Of course when the follicles are just about ready it does feel a bit strange and full but that's not for long.
Hope that helps,
Good Luck!
hi mel
i too have had internal ultrasounds all the way through my cycle. the only side affects i have been having from the medication is headaches just about eveyday from the spray. and i think i have been a little more tired from the injections.
sunnyday and sharynj good luck with the trigger injections. let me know how you go. coz hopefully i too will be up for EPU soon. i have another scan and BT on fri, so im hoping the follicles are big enough and i will get the date for EPU. so im very interested to know how you too go with the trigger.
hope everyone has had a good day.
Miss Ellie

Hi everyone
So many posts since I was here last! Starting from the earliest and working through to the latest, here goes (deep breath)…
Gravel, afternoon tea was fantastic, kind of like an old fashioned thing, little savouries, cucumber sandwiches, scones, little cakes, yum!!! Hope your emby is settling in :D
Bradysmum, hi, how’s Brady going in his new bedroom?
Sharyn, I’m glad you like Canberra, so many people are rude about it. So often I hear “oh its just full of politicians”, well I’ve lived here all my life and until recently I had never even met a politician! If you come back we’ll have dinner at Belluci’s, the food is great there. We had our work Christmas party there the year before last. I really don’t know how you can stop ovulation, I’m sure your doctor is aware and doing everything that can be done. Fingers crossed for you but I’m sure you’ll be fine… this is the LUCKY thread!
Shajake, wow I can’t believe I’ve inspired you to start exercising, I’m so flattered. And you know what, it is going to motivate me to keep going with it… I came home from work tonight and jumped straight on the treadmill (well I got changed and all that first but YKWIM) it was tough though, I think after a long day at work I must have had waaaay less energy than I’ve had the last few days.
L.j. welcome to the lucky thread! I’m sure you’ll love it here so keep coming back. Good luck with your transfer, when is it going to happen?
Babybernie, great to hear from you. I’m so glad your EPU went well and you ended up with six fertilised eggs, good work. How did you go with your transfer today? It is a funny once I have a transfer I always say to myself “at least for now I am pregnant” which is silly, I know. I had an enormous bruise on the back of my hand from the cannula, it took forever to disappear.
Sunflower I think you should ring your clinic too, they are there to help you. Of course, you have probably done that by now so my advice is superfluous! Hope all goes well.
Sharyn (again, you must be special:yes: ) I don’t know how you take your mind off the 2ww except as others have said books and movies. Or maybe meeting friends for lunch or dinner would take your mind off it? Good luck! It is getting quite chilly tonight but I am covered with kittens, which I’m going to have to remove before I get my snuggle rug out. DH is out at a meeting tonight and I don’t know when he’ll be home.
Sunnyday good luck with your EPU tomorrow! I don’t remember any pain other than the discomfort caused by being OHSS, but I am a big person whereas you say you are quite small.
Hi melswans, if you haven’t had a vaginal ultrasound before they aren’t wonderful but they don’t hurt, except if the person doing it is a bit over-vigorous about finding one of your ovaries it feels like your innards are getting shoved around. And sometimes I get really low level period type pain for a little while afterwards.
After all the internal ultrasounds, the EPU the ETs and all that I really don't care that much anymore about who is fiddling around down there. I used to be terrified of pap smears but now I don't think I'd care. Same with the BTs, I used to hate them, now I couldn't care less!
Leanne fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: hope you find out soon about your EPU.
Whew, what a long post! I went back to work today after a week and a half on leave so that was a bit of a shock to they system! I feel like I got nothing done but I did have four meetings and I read all my email. I always have so much to do I feel like I just shouldn’t have holidays but I desperately needed this time off.
DH is at a council meeting tonight, he is the CEO of where he works and the council are like the board of directors so he meets with them every couple of weeks. He is busy and he loves his job but I couldn’t do what he does, he works so hard.
OMG I have all five kittens on my lap and two of them are trying to walk on the laptop!! At least they aren’t biting my feet anymore. I will put them to sleep in their Poppy Basket soon. A Poppy Basket is this sort of stuffed cushion in the shape of a basket. I call it a Poppy Basket because my baby cat Poppy was the first one to use it when she got it for Christmas. I think I have a child substitute thing going on with all my cats! Oh no, now the two naughty ones are on the back of the lounge playing with my ponytail! Eeeeek!
Enough for now, I’ll be around all evening but I need to go and cook rice for the casserole I’ve made for our dinner so I can eat soon (and DH can have his zapped when he gets home).
Bye for now!!
Mardi
hi veryone
i was just wondering? to those who are about to or have had ET how many embrios did you doctor say they would transfer.
im just curious as my dr said he will only transfer one as we are going to let it develop fir 5 days instead of 3. but im just worried that by only having one in there if it doesnt stick then there's no chance off any others sticking. if you know what i mean.
is everyone only getting one transfered or more?
Miss Ellie
26-04-2006, 20:30
Hi Leanne, we have always been asked if we want one or two and have chosen two, partly because they have said it won't cause problems and it could increase the chances of pregnancy and partly because I have a secret hope to have twins, a boy and a girl, so I don't have to go through all this for a second child! My transfers have all been blastocysts, which means they let the emby grow a couple of extra days so they can check out if it looks good.
Sorry that probably doesn't help you.
Hope others can help more :)
I would like to know the answer to that one too.
I was having one transferred. Thats what my doctor advised. Im thinking of changing it to two. He doesnt advise that.
But if i have two, isnt that a better chance of a pregnancy??
Miss Ellie
26-04-2006, 20:42
Sharyn, poor you having to get up at 12:30am for your trigger. I hope all goes well with it and you can go straight back to sleep!
I wanted to put hugs in but it won't let me put any smilies in :(
Miss Ellie
26-04-2006, 20:44
Mel, I don't know how old you are but my DH read somewhere that in younger women their chance of getting pregnant is actually better with only one embryo. I wish I'd remembered that when I posted my reply to Leanne!

but it is still worth asking if you can have 2 transfered. How are you feeling anyway?
Hello everyone -
It sounds like this is a busy little thread with lots going on! There seems to be quite a few ET's getting closer. Thought I should fill u in a little. Hubby and I have been going thru IVF since Sept last year. Had our first transfer in Oct (unsuccesful ;( ) and our 2nd in February this year (also unfortunatley unsucessful) - I started bleeding about 4 days after the 2nd transfer and my BT showed that my Progesterone was extremely low. It increased with loads of extra prgesterone pessaries and rest but was not enough to save our little embryo. Now that we know I will need extra help in the progesterone department hopefully that will help us more this time. I have been on the Progynova tablets and will have a scan & BT's on Friday to check that my levels are OK and my lining thick enough. If all OK there we are hoping to have our transfer mid next week. We are keeping our fingers crossed but sometimes its hard to keep optimistic - I'm sure chatting will certainly help
I'm keen to check in and see how everyone is going and wish everyone the very best of luck. I know it is probably said all the time - but I'm sure none of us would ever give up the chance to collect more and more of any kind of luck!

Hi L.j - Good Luck with your transfer next week... May all your dreams come true!!! :yelclap:
Evening Leanne and Mel
I'm have one on board and will continue to do one at a time. My FS discussed this at length with DH and myself and this is his recommendation based on our particular circumstances - we trust his judgement.
Hope those follicles are growing for you :fingerscrossed: .
I hope this link works, sorry if I mess it up but it may be worth having a look at -just gives some more info about single embryo transfer -

Hey Girls,
I am to scared to go to sleep in case I don't wake up for my trigger. Had my last injection of puregon at 8pm -feeling quite tired but fighting it. Hubby says I am crazy -he is no doubt right:D . I dreamt the other night that when I went in for EPU, I realised I had forgotten to fast and they couldn't go ahead with op.Very irrational, but sadly, my mind has been somewhat like that lately. I do hope my sanity returns one day! In the interim, will not be going to sleep until the trigger has been safely injected ! Hubby is doing all of the preparation - I just have to jab. Last time it wasn't too bad, so hope it is the same tonight ! I don't have to have any synarel or anything tomorrow, so I figure I can catch up on my sleep then!
Miss Ellie, I really did love Canberra. It was beautiful, not to mention all the marvellous attractions. I did miss out on going to Screensound, so (as I am studying media at Uni) that is high on the list for when I return. My DH spent some time there in his high school days and ( as I have never seen snow) wants to have a big holiday there sometime so I can experience everything. Last time I stayed at Rydges, Lakeside and it was delightful. Especially when I woke up to see all of the hot air balloons from my balcony. Yep, Canbera is definitely somewhere I want to explore a lot more !
Sorry to rave ladies, just trying to kill some time. Don't want to watch TV as may fall asleep. :ecomcity:
Good luck with your injections tomorrow night IVFMummy !!
I am also having two transferred BUT I am 38, so there is no doubt a age factor there ! I just hope & pray I get two TO transfer!:fingerscrossed:
Okay, I am goingto go and look at Ebay now - look out credit card!! Anything to stay awake !
Speak soon ladies!!
Hi Sharyn
Probably missed you but, good luck with your trigger. One step closer!
My DH is away and am a bit of a night owl when he isn't around.

Good Morning Everyone,
IVFMummy, Gravel and Brady's mum - thanks for your well wishes ! Trigger was fine - no adverse effects - apart from the actual needle being a bit thicker than the puregon one, all was ok.
Now I am at the stage where I am praying I don't ovulate early like last time! I am saying to myself ' Positive things happen to positive people' and trying to believe it !! It's weird, but I am a lot calmer than last time -despite knowing what can potentially go wrong.
I am quite snuffly today so have just taken some vitamin c and am going to TRY to stay in bed and relax.
I hope everyone is in good spirits and look forward to hearing what's happening with you all.
Have a great day girls!!

Sharyn - Really pleased to hear all went well with your trigger injection! Hope you don't get a cold... get plenty of rest hun!:hugs:
Hi All, i started injections today.
Not as bad as i thought. Very fine needle so all my sooking was not needed!!
The nurse held the needle with me to help! Im big sook.
The area around it hurts a bit now, but it is ok.
I have the needles for 8 days for now, then have a blood test and scan.
I was told by my Doctor that putting in 2 would not increase my chance of pregnancy, but i think he was saying that to put me off... ive heard it does increase. Im not sure whether to change my request to putting two in instead of one.
Any ideas?

Hey All,
Can someone remind me to NOT Google things?? Please ! I have been googling ovulation ( and how to tell if you are), and now have many more questions( & concerns) than I started with !
I seem to have a bad headcold, sniffly and headache. I don't have any plain panadol - is it okay to take PANADEINE? I shall await a response. Googling that came up with all sorts of stuff that only worried me more.:o
Sunnyday, I am hoping things went really well for you at EPU today :fingerscrossed:
IVFMummy - good luck with the first injection tonight - I'll be thinking of you.
Brady'smum - thanks again for your well wishes and thoughts !:)
I'll be back soon to check on panadeine advice. Where would I be without you all? Thanks in advance...
Hi Sharyn
All I know is that you can't take anything that is not allowed while pg, I think Leanne and Beatrice had a conversation a while back about it - perhaps look back in the thread. Most pain medication, including nurofen, is a big no, no. I know panadol is allowed but don't know about panadeine, would say probably not - doesn't it have codeine in it?
Have you thought of ringing the local pharmacy to check? Or try www.safefetus.com
Sorry can't be of more help, you poor thing, hope you feel much better soon.
Happy days....
Also, just wanted to ask. Anyone else out there who has had puregon injections... if you felt different.. how long till that happened? Cant remember if i have asked already.
Good afternoon ladies,
I thought I would just answer a few posts quickly in between tidying up and going to get Jake. I bought him a pair of shoes (I hope they fit and a tennis racquet - he's been dying to play).
Sunnyday...Good luck with you EPU
ivfmummy...Good luck with starting your injections tonight
SharynJ...Panadeine is fine
Melswans, Leanne and anyone else who is thinking 2 vs 1 embryo transfer.
Miss Ellie...Good on you. Keep up the good work...Not long till you start sniffing...Tommorrow I believe:fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:
I too thought about transferring 2 embryos to increase our chances of a pregnancy...I also spoke at length with my obstetrician and his advice was not to transfer 2 as the risks for a twin pregnancy compared to a single pregnancy far outway the benefits. Pregnancy brings with it loads of risks but the risk with a twin pregnancy is something like an 8 out of 10 chance of things going wrong. Premature labour and birth, birth defects etc. If you can try and speak with your own obstetrician and see what they say but mines not for it at all and therefore at this stage we will only transfer 1 embryo at a time. I would have liked twins but DH and I don't want abnormal twins.
I hope this helps, I'm not a doctor but I trust my doctor and his advice and therefore I'm following his. Each person is different but if you're not sure then check it out first.
I'll be back later tonight to continue chatting.
Thanks for the advice. My doctor advised strongly against 2 also. Just wanted to see what the others though.
I just wondered whether it would give a higher chance of pregnancy.
If however this one doesnt work when we go for transfer... then i think next time i would try two, the doctor said he would do 2 next time if needed be.
Im so hoping there wont need to be a next time.. or if there is, then im hoping it is to add to our success by then! :ecomcity:
Melswans...I wish you all the best of luck...When's your EPU?
I have to keep taking injections till next thursday, then on friday i have an ultrasound, then i will know more.... if all has gone ok, then i guess pretty soon after that i will have it? Not sure yet, i dont know how it all goes. If you have progressed like they want, then i guess its a matter of days?

Hi everyone,
sunnyday - I am thinking of you today and can't wait to hear how your EPU went!!!!! I hope you are feeling well and not too sore. Take care darl.
ivfmummy - Yah to starting your injections. Wont be long now :D
Sharyn - I hope your cold symptoms haven't progressed. Yah! to you for your trigger - now the fun really starts! Good luck with you EPU.
Miss Ellie - all the best for the start of the sniffer-thon - well done - it's getting closer now
Shajake - I totally agree with everything you have said about single v's double embryo transfer - our Doc. felt as yours did and like you, I trust in their advice - although I must admit the thought of having two bub's (and not having to go through ICSI again) was quite tempting - that was before I knew I had the strength to go through this whole process - it's amazing what we woman can do!
melswans - I had injections for nine days (Gonal F) and on the ninth day (Friday) my levels and scan was quite positive so kept injecting Friday and Saturday with my trigger later on Saturday evening (so ten days of injections) - everyone is different though - but like you said - it all depends on how you progess - best of luck with it all
bradysmum - how is that gorgeous little boy of yours - please posts lots because I love looking at his gorgeous little face in your avatar :D
Leanne, gravel, sunflower and any I have missed - hope you are travelling well
well - the scientist rang me this morning and as well as the emby we have on board, we have two more embys to freeze - one progressed to 7 cells and one to a morula - which is quite exciting. I am already doing my head in with this TWW but am trying to remain as positive as possible.
:hugs: to you all - take care

Hi Jen !!
Congratulations !!!! I am so happy to hear that things are going so well.:yelclap:
I have avoided taking any drugs today - DH is picking me up some panadol on his way home. Still snuffly - I hope they still go ahead with EPU. Am trying NOT to think about anything negative ! It has been a very long day!!
How is everyone else today?:fingerscrossed:

Hi All, i started injections today.
Not as bad as i thought. Very fine needle so all my sooking was not needed!!
The nurse held the needle with me to help! Im big sook.
The area around it hurts a bit now, but it is ok.
I have the needles for 8 days for now, then have a blood test and scan.
I was told by my Doctor that putting in 2 would not increase my chance of pregnancy, but i think he was saying that to put me off... ive heard it does increase. Im not sure whether to change my request to putting two in instead of one.
Any ideas?
Hi Mel,
We start injections on the same day! :smiliedance: I will have mine tonight...
I have a BT and scan booked for the 5th May. I think it may depend on your age and your doctor as to whether you have one or two embyos transfered. I am having 2 transfered because of my age and that the doctor that I am seeing pretty much always puts in 2 (from what the Nurses tell me).
Which clinic are you going to?

Good Evening All
Big TV night tonight!!! So I probably wont be online later.... lol
And I start my injections woooo hoooooo :smiliedance:
How is everyone?
Sharyn - Hope you are feeling ok... I have heard that you can take panadeine.... I just take plain old panadol as I can't handle codeine... makes me nauseated.... just check on the back of the packet or phone a pharmacy... they are very good with advice.
Thanks to everyone for your good wishes!!!!
Congratulations Jen!
Are you taking any support meds during your 2ww? I was taking pregnyl, had my last injection on Wednesday. Feel a little lost with nothing to take anymore.
Great news on the frozen embies too :yelclap: , sounds really positive. Think they just did a day two freeze with my one.
Take care of yourself and here's to sticky embies!
Hi everybody,
Just a quick update, am now on day 7 of the 2ww and have absolutely no symptoms of anything at all - real or imagined. Will probably become a real nuisance before the next week is up, am frantic to find things to keep my mind firmly off my uterus!
IVFMummy and Mel - Well done on starting your injections . Hope all goes well.
Sunnyday - Thinking of you, hope all went well today :hugs: .
Shajake - The great 1 vs 2 embryo debate - your OB seems to have told you almost exactly the same as our FS told us! Same Uni maybe? I suppose the only difference is my age - which may increase the challenges with multiples you mentioned, and a personal family history of twins - quads???
Have a good evening, positive thoughts to you all :fingerscrossed:

Good evening everyone!
I’ve been on the treadmill again today, that’s seven days in a row! Yay!
Ivfmummy: So you have your first injection tonight, good stuff! I hope all goes well with them.
L.j: I had transfers in October and February too! Both unsuccessful but my doctor thinks he knows what to do this time – I sure hope so! It’s good that yours has worked out your progesterone problem, fingers crossed all goes well this time. Good luck!
Gravel: that’s a very interesting article, thanks for posting it. I think that’s the one my DH told me about but I hadn’t read it. It certainly makes you think! Oh and good luck with the continuing TWW :)
Sharyn, I have to confess I haven’t been to Screensound for many many years :o , isn’t it always the case you never do the tourist thing in your own city! I’m so glad your trigger went well. I’ve been on eBay heaps lately but selling not buying. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you not to ovulate and I hope your snuffles get better soon.
Bradysmum, hi, you are always so positive and wonderful, its great to see your colourful posts and Brady’s gorgeous face.
Melswans, the discussion last night sure opened my eyes to two embryos maybe not always being best for everyone so I think it is best to trust your doctor. I am going to continue to trust mine, he said put in two, but I think that is because of my age (I’m 38).
Sunnyday, I hope your EPU went well today.:hugs:
Sharyn: I think I’ve seen somewhere that Panadeine is safe but DO NOT take my word for it, ask your clinic or local pharmacist.
Shajake, yes sniffing starts tomorrow. I’m terrified I’m going to forget, maybe I should stick note up in the bathroom tonight so I see it tomorrow.
Babybernie, your embys are doing great. Hope the TWW isn’t driving you mad!
I can’t wait to watch Biggest Loser tonight, after Big Brother… yes they’re recorded so I’m just waiting to finish dinner before watching! I’m so tired! I can hardly see the screen.
Bye for now, I’ll have a peer at the laptop every now and again while DH fast forwards the ads.

Thank you so much to everyone who has responded to my message. You have made me feel so welcome to this site.
IVFMummy.. I have an appointment at Monash Richmond. I'm not looking forward to all the 2 hour trips but will make frequent stops to Starbucks and Krispy Kreme. Plus I'm staying positive that all this hard work will be worth it one day soon.
Does anyone know if the treatment starts pretty quickly after the initial appointment or is it a long wait? My first appointment is at the end of May, but then I'm going overseas for the last two weeks of June. Would that mean I'd have to start all the fun meds in July? I hate waiting for things.
Good luck to everyone in their 2WW and to those who are still on the journey. I hope I have joined the "Lucky Thread" as I read from someone's message.
Thanks Leanne for letting me know about the Panadeine, obviously I shouldn't believe everything I read on the internet! I used to find it good for headaches too.
Have a super evening.

Hey gravel,
I’m still taking my Pregnyl – every couple of days – just got Saturday and then Tuesday. Did you have a three day transfer or blasto? I hope you are coping on your TWW – how exciting – not long to wait now – best of luck :fingerscrossed: :hugs: :fingerscrossed: :D
Hi Jen
Had a two and a half day transfer  ! Had my EPU at 6am on the Tuesday and the transfer late afternoon Thursday.
Thanks, mentally am coping - just! Can't wait for my DH to get home - he distracts me. Luckily have a few social things on tomorrow, should be fun.
Keep in touch, would love to hear how you feel as our TWW progresses :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed:

I've just finished watching Biggest Loser... I'm so glad Adro won, I had tears in my eyes. Come to think of it I had tears on my eyes to see how well they had all done. That sort of thing gives me hope for myself! Did anyone watch it? I have a question, is AJ really short or is Fiona really tall? I couldn't believe the difference! One thing I think they should have done is tell us the contestants' heights, it makes a difference to the amount they weigh in relation to healthy weight etc... IYKWIM.
Anyway enough wittering about BL! :ecomcity: :ecomcity:
Gravel, thanks for the tip about keeping the Synarel near my toothbrush! I'm going to do that tonight when I clean my teeth so I remember in the morning.
Hope everyone is having a great night, I'm off to bed soon.

Good Morning Everyone!
Hope everyone had a nice evening.... I watched the Biggest Loser and of course had my first injection... wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... I think it's the "thought" more than anything else.... Feel incredibly dead tired today and had a restless sleep... anyone else have this?
I am off to work now.... yes no rest for the wicked!! :devil6:
What dose puregon is everyone on? Do they give different doses for different people?
Was also wondering if anyone can tell me what the transfer feels like? I know you are awake for that... im a chicken thats all.
I hate pap smears.... so im told its like that?
hi all
i was just wondering about ET do they normaly include the day of EPU as day one if it is a early app.
if anyone knows, i would love to know.
Hi Mel
The ET was a piece of cake, the catheter they use is tiny. I was still getting over the shock of seeing our embryo on screen and he said it was done and the embryologist confirmed it was all clear. I had a bit of a sharp jab as he arranged it - it was just like a pap smear - but I do have a retrovert uterus so it is a bit more difficult. I got straight up afterwards with no problems or pain whatsoever.
Hope that helps set your mind at ease!
I was on Gonal-F - 225 a day for seven days and then 450 until epu.
Thanks gravel i really appreciate the info
Hi Believer
I started within two weeks of my first visit but I would imagine it depends on your RE, diagnosis and the clinic itself. Someone on this thread may attend the same clinic and may be able to give a better idea.
Have a safe journey to the clinic, I hope it all goes well for you.
Happy day to everyone else.
babybernie

melswans – the transfer is exactly like a pap smear – if you have made it through one of those – the ET will be a piece of cake – just try and focus on the conversation the Doc. is making with you while he has his head…… well…… you know where :o – it never ceases to amaze me how unaffected Doctors are (and like gravel said - you will be so blown away by seeing your emby on the monitor that you wont be worried about the procedure)
leannej – I’m not one hundred percent sure but I had egg pickup on Monday (about 10am) and then proceeded to have what the clinic call a 2 day transfer on Wednesday (about 10am). So I guess my clinic doesn’t include Day 1 (?!?!?!? – I’m so bad at working these things out) but the transfer was exactly 48 hours after the pickup (so 2 days)
hope this helps but think my shocking explanation is more likely to confuse – I know I’m confused!!!!!
sunny – hope you are recovering well darl – looking forward to a catch-up soon :hugs:

Hello everyone,
I am back.....I had my EPU yesterday morning, which i am still recovering from. I never know if i have some hyperstimulation or if its just from all the poking that my Dr does around in there, but last night i could hardly walk. (I don't like this part of the treatment very much). I just kept on taking panadeine and its not too bad now. The Dr. said it was a little harder to get to some of my follicles, so i take it thats why i am so sore. (This happens to me each time anyhow, so i know what to expect now):ecomcity: Anyhow.....from 9 follicles i got 8 eggs, and as of lunchtime today i have 5 that have fertilised. I am happy with that, but so worried at the same time. I am having 5 day blastocyst transferred on Tuesday, so hope they keep on growing. So, since im having a 5 day embryo put back in my 2ww has already started. And it is only day 1....i am not that good at waiting.(so much for my planning..hey!) At least i have something to do each day. Tomorrow i have my pregnal inj and i can ring again on Sunday to find out about my embryos.
I am now dreading my ET as i have to have it the same way (well sort of) as the EPU. I have sedation......and i don't get to see my embryo on the screen like everyone else...that makes me a little sad.....but i have to have the embryo put in through the wall of my uterus, this is because i have closing of the cervix and they can't get the catheter through it. So not looking forward to that part either.
Leanne, day one is the day after EPU.
Welcome to melswans and believer, goodluck with your journey!
Hello to everyone...Leanne how was your appointment? Ivfmummy started your inj :smiliedance: Miss Ellie, hi & Sharyn, hope your EPU goes well. Gravel, hi.
Bradysmum, I am going okay, thankyou for asking.

Thankyou Bradysmum so much and i just wanted to say thankyou to everyone on this thread that have been asking about me and giving me so much support on this journey, it sure has helped me alot. :hugs: :hugs:
I was reading the posts about taking the panadeine. My clinic say that it is okay to take panadeine and panadol when taking the synarel and prior and after EPU, but once you have your ET, just stick to panadol. Like you would if you were pregnant. Hope that helps.
Sharyn, I am thinking of you today having your EPU, hope you are fine and everything works out for you :fingerscrossed:
Leanne, I really am hoping everything goes well for you at your appointment and cain't wait to hear when you EPU is.
Gravel, Wow, half way through your 2ww already. To me it has flown by. You prob don't feel the same, but hope it doesn't feel like too long a wait for you.
I was reading Gravel & Jen about you taking your pregnyl. I only have two inj of pregnyl, one tomorrow and one on Tues morning before my ET. Then i don't have anything more. That must be because my embryo will be five days old and you two had yours at two days. Do you think that this would be the case?
Shajake, hi hope you are well! :hugs:
Sunnyday thats fantastic. goodluck with everything.
Everyone else, good luck too.

Hi fellow travellers and friends,
Sunnyday - Way to go! What a great result :yelclap: . Only four sleeps until your ET! Have absolutely no idea why some people have more Pregnyl, have also heard of others having loads of pessaries right up to 16dpo  ?
Sharyn - Well done, so glad it all worked out. Hope you recover soon :hugs: .

Hi Gravel, Sunnyday and gals,
Thanks for your lovely messages.
Sunnyday- am feeling A LOT better than the last EPU ( go figure - they only got ONE that time but I was in HEAPS more pain?). No bleeding whatsoever this time, am a bit crampy, but I can deal with that! Just need to wait until noon tomorrow to find out how many fertilised - GULP:fingerscrossed: How manydid you get etc - my brain is mush and I forget. How are YOU feeling? My ET is also Tuesday at 11.15 am - I will think of you !! I am getting two implanted - all going well....
I sincerely hope yours goes smoothly and with little discomfort - it's a shame u won't be able to see them - but hey, you WILL see them in 9 months ! EVEN BETTER!
Thanks again girls, this cycle was SO much easier and I feel you all had a lot to do with it !!:hugs:

Off to bed now - have my Mum here babysitting - it's lovely !

Hi all
I'm so tired... Michael's work had a thing on tonight so I went and helped. And there's another thing on tomorrow for his work then a bbq at a friends! I almost wish it was just the work week, it would be quieter!
Just a quick note, I'll catch up with everyone later or tomorrow but I wanted to congratulate Sunnyday and Sharyn on your EPUs. Sharyn, fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: for plenty to fertilise.
My clinic doesn't show me the emby on screen before putting it in but the transfer is pretty painless and over so quickly. Like a pap smear the worst thing is the speculum opening up the cervix. I just hold DH's hand tightly and talk to the doctor, the nurse and DH to keep my mind off it all.
Bye for now!
Can i ask yet another question.... I think maybe im just getting impatient, waiting for next weeks ultrasound to see how well im going with the puregon.
Anyway, after they do the transfer, is there anything that you can do to help the little fella stay in there??? Or anything you shouldnt be doing? I hear so often that they dont stick etc etc....
Just curious. I have heard that you shouldnt have hot baths, or coffee? I guess it all comes down to chance.
Also, does it help if when its transferred that it is a 6cell instead of 4? or do they only transfer after its gone to 6 or 8?

Hello girls!
It’s a wet and dull day here in Canberra and instead of going to help DH this morning I slept in and am now lazing around reading and checking this thread. Where is everyone? I couldn’t believe it when I saw my post from last night is still the latest post! I hope everyone is having a great time doing whatever they’re doing.
I’ve started on Synarel as of yesterday morning and now remember the horrible allergic feeling it gives me in my sinuses and all through the side of my head that I sniff on. Oh well, its not that bad really, if it achieves results its definitely worth it! I have a BT Sunday next week (7 May) to see how everything is going.
Mel-j I will be on Puregon 100 this time when I start and last time I was on 150. Yes there are different doses for different people depending on certain factors, one being age. My doctor told me the typical dose for the age ranges but I can’t remember them. That's why I got OHSS last time, even though I was 37 my body reacted like I was ten years younger, he said. I think I said what the transfers have been like for me in my last post—you say you hate pap smears and unfortunately it is very similar, but one benefit I’ve found (if you can call it that) is that after having three transfers and all the internal ultrasounds pap smears don’t hold any fears for me anymore.
Hi to ivfmummy, Leanne, Gravel, Believer, babybernie, Bradysmum, Shajake, Sunnyday, and Sharyn! :hugs: :hugs:
I really do feel incredibly lazy today and I have so much to do, including going to a friend’s bbq. This person lives just outside Canberra so it’s a bit of a drive and I don’t really feel like putting on makeup, driving for miles, or being sociable but I’m sure once I’m there I’ll enjoy myself. It was nice of DH to tell me to stay home this morning, AND he brought me a cup of tea in bed, threw all the cats and kittens out of the bedroom and shut the blinds to keep it dark for me so I could sleep some more. He is lovely! I hope all your DHs are as lovely as mine! I feel a bit guilty not going with him this morning, he doesn’t drive so he had to call a cab, but he doesn’t mind really. He is vision impaired (legally blind) and has been all his life so he is used to fending for himself.
I’ve been very naughty, no treadmill yesterday and probably none today the way I’m feeling. Back into it tomorrow!
BBL. Have a nice day everyone.

Hi Mel, I'm glad someone else is on here!
All I've been told to do after the transfer is to take it easy, which I vaguely take to mean that I should get a fair bit of rest, don't lift heavy things, don't be too active. The first transfer I had it at lunch time and went back to work and it was one of the most stressful days of work I've had, nothing to do with the ET. Anyway that one didn't work so the next one I took the whole week off, the transfer was on the Tuesday. That one worked for a little while then I had a MC. Same for the third transfer.
I usually lie on the chair thingy for five minutes after the transfer just to let things settle down but then I just get in my car and drive home (or work) since I am the driver in the family. They said that driving is OK, just don't over do anything.
And of course you need to be careful what you ingest as if you were pregnant (which in a way you are), no soft cheese, undercooked eggs, alcohol, medications that aren't definitely safe, etc etc. I've also read that baths are OK but not too hot but I don't have a definition of hot. My bath has a thing on the hot water system that lets you auto fill and I usually fill it at 42 degrees but I suspect this might be too hot so I don't have baths after ET.
I don't know if I've helped you, hopefully others will have more information.

Miss Ellie.. I hope you enjoy yourself at your friend's BBQ today. Sometimes it's a great idea to get out of the house and be around friends. Have fun! Also, what a caring DH you have! Mine is great also. I don't know what I'd do without him.
Sharyn J... good luck with everything!! :fingerscrossed:

Hi Believer, yes you are right, it will do me good to get out of the house. I am soooo tired though, I feel drugged!
Does anyone know if this is a symptom of Synarel? I don't remember it from last time.
I'm going now, have to pick up DH and buy a house warming gift for my friend, then set off to the wilds of NSW for the bbq :D What a pity it is so rainy today, its the first time in weeks :gloomy: .
Bye for now, BBL.

Hi everyone,
Leanne, I am wondering how you are?? Hope you are okay, please let us know :hugs:
Sharyn, I have my fingerscrossed for lots of fertilised eggs for you, can't wait to hear how you went.
Ivfmummy, wow started injections :smiliedance: good on you!!!! How are you feeling?
Jen, Helllooo will catch up for :ecomcity: :ecomcity: with you soon!! Hope you well today.
Bradysmum, Hi, how is Brady liking his cot in the separate room and more importantly how is his mother coping?
Mel, I was on puregon 300 & then went up to 350. Just to make my follicles grow a little bit bigger. Each person is different and from being on this thread i think each clinic does something different as well. You just need to keep that in mind or you'll drive yourself crazy. Decaf tea and coffee are fine to drink once you have your ET. If you have a look back a little bit at the posts we had a little chat about what you can and can't eat awhile back. About the time off, this time i am having a week off work after my ET, just to take it easy so i'm not running around too much. Previously i only took a day or two off. It just depends on the person, but this time i am doing everything i can to make it work. I hope this helps you out a little and not confussed you more
Hello to everyone else, I am thinking of you all.
Hello all again -
Have been reading all your latest posts but have not had the time to respond - sorry. Everyone is up to a very special time in their "cycle" - how exciting.
MISS ELLIE - Youv'e done very well after your ET's - you poor thing. I would have been stressed if I went back to work as well. I have to admit I'm a real chicken and after the ET I'm pretty much on the lounge in front of the TV for the next 24 hours. I kind of think this is in my head a bit but I don't want to be too active and "loosen anything up"? Weird I know - but it makes me feel better. DH is great during this time - last time he bought me magazines, hired DVD's and made dinner!!
SHARON J & SUNNYDAY - congratulations on the fantastic work. Successful EPU's!! thats so exciting
I had my scan yesterday and it went well. My lining was 6.7mm (which they are happy with) but my BT's showed that my LH was up a little - up to 5. My nurse said this is not anything to be too worried about as it is quite common. I havn't been on the Synarel this time only the Progynova (oestrogen tablets) so I'm thinking that is the reason. Apparently the LH is the hormone that peaks quickly when u normally ovulate - they are not sure if mine is climbing or if it is just comeing back down from my last period? I have to have another BT on Monday and hopefully it is lower or stays the same (its not allowed to go over 6?). Has anyone else had this problem before?
I've also started the Prgesterone Pessaries this morning (lovely little things aren't they?) - I have to lay down for about 30 - 45 minutes after using them. This time I'm on 2 morning and night and may go higher. My nurse is going to check my Progesterone levels on Monday as well.
Hope everone is not too sore from injections and EPU's. Hopefully I have good news on Monday and a ET date!!
L.j
Hi everyone
hope you are all having a great weekend.
well i guess you are all wondering how my BT and scan went on friday. well im still not producing enough big follicles ( after 16 days of injections). so the nurse said that i havent produced enough eggs and my dose of gonal-f may not have been high enough to make them grow.
so the nurse said that the best thing to do was to chance treatment. as longer on the gonal-f wouldnt halp and they dont suggest changing the dose through the cycle.
so we now have to wait for a period to come and then see the specialist to find out what to do next.
i didnt posted yesterday as i was crying all afternoon and was trying to get my head around the whole situation. :crying: :crying:
Hi Leanne -
Hang in there - its soooo hard and if your anything like me u want it all hapening NOW!! The best thing at the moment is to get lots and lots of hugs.
Thinking of u
L.j
Hi Leanne, it is such a stressful thing to go through.
I wish you luck with whatever happens. Im so impatient. I want everything to happen now. but with this process.. it never does.
Leanne
Am sooooo sorry! :hugs: What lousy news, I hope your FS sees you soon and sorts it all out.
Please take care of yourself.
Hi Miss Ellie
Are you feeling better now? I really hope so, perhaps your body is just becoming used to the medication? Am sorry, I had no side effects from the Synarel, just that I wanted to sneeze.
Hope your BBQ was a great day out.
To everyone else, hope you are having a good weekend...
Miss Ellie

Gravel, thanks, yes I enjoyed my afternoon and evening out. I didn't recall any side effects from Synarel either, just the sneezy feeling, so I'm probably just tired for some other reason. Hopefully tomorrow will be fairly quiet but I have to do some grocery shopping and visit my mum as well as house stuff. How's the TWW going?
Leanne, I'm sooooo sorry about your follicles. It's heartbreaking to have these setbacks and I can only urge you to look to the future and just think about the next time.
L.j I'm the same about wanting it to happen NOW!! That's been one of the hardest things so far, apart from the two MCs. After my first ET when I went straight back to work I've tried to take things easier and just sit on the lounge--I even try to drive more carefully on the way home because when I go over bumps I'm worried the embies will drop out! Great scan and try not to worry about the LH. I haven't heard of that before but fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: for your BT on Monday. The pessaries are lovely, aren't they, specially that lovely waxy ooze (TMI?). I was told to lie down for an hour afterwards but I notice on the bottle it says 30 minutes (I think). I was on four a day for a while, so expensive but at least I get nearly half back from Medibank.
Sunnyday, great new avatar. I hope all is going well for you.
Mel, I'm so glad I could be of some help! :o
Sharyn, how are you going? I'm missing you!
Hello to everyone I've missed... I'm thinking of you all!
I think I'm going to have to do a little chart of what everyone is doing in terms of their IVF cycle, I'm finding it really hard to remember. So if I missed out asking anyone how they are or got anything wrong please accept my apologies.
Hi Beatrice if you're out there lurking, hope all is good with you.
Bed time for me I think, maybe just a little cuddle with a kitten :devil6: first then off I'll go. The devil smiley is because they are all little devils at the moment!

Good Morning Everyone!
Worked yesterday... and when I got home, DH had 2 bunches of flowers for me and a lovely card.... isn't he sweet? And we went out for dinner too which was nice... The injections are going well, but are knocking me about a little bit.
Today we have decided not to work, so we are off to Mt Dandenong for lunch and then to a movie... don't know which one we will see. I still freak out with the injections... I know they don't hurt, but I still carry on like a pork chop.... it's just the thought! hehehe :D
Bradysmum - Thanks for your good wishes... all is going well. How are you? And how's your little man?
Sunnyday - Congrats on your good news!! :yelclap: Good luck with your ET!
Sharyn J - Great news about your EPU!! May all your dreams come true!
Leannej - I am so sorry hun about your news.... I can't imagine what you are feeling now. Lots of hugs to you and your DH :hugs:
Hope that everyone has a lovely Sunday....
Hello everyone -
Gorgeous day here today - too nice to stay inside so I'm off for a walk with my dog "Kellar" & then maybe a cuppa with my sister. But first thought I'd say "hi".
Mel j -
About the size of the embies. Mine have been 8 cell and 7 cell and they unfortunatley did not make it but I have heard of a girl that had a 4 cell ET and now has a beautiful bub - I think sometimes its luck of the draw. Theres also going to be circumstances we don;t even know about. You don't always know why a transfer failed (which is a bummer - if we knew that most of us would all be excited mums by now!!). I take it easy after my ET and don;t do much at all. First 24 - 36 hours involves a comfy lounge and lots of magazines and DVDs and then for the next few days after that I'm a bit "slow" and careful with how I sit, what I lift etc. Might sound a bit over the top but I figure if I do this I am giving my self the best chance.
Hope everone is feeling well. Sharyn & Sunnyday Good luck with your ET's through the week. I'm hoping I'll be joining u both in the 2WW
Leanne J - Hope your weekend is going OK and your keeping busy and getting spoilt
Gravel and Jen - hope your 2WW isn't driving u too mad - I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you both.
Everyone else have a fantastic Sunday
Hi Everyone
Hope you are all having a great Sunday. It's a bit noisy in Tassie today with all those fast cars and helicopters, still, it is a glorious day and they couldn't have ordered better weather.
Miss Ellie - thanks, am doing just fine. Just waiting, waiting....
IVFMummy - Your DH sounds like a treasure - look after him! Keep up the good work with the injections.
Sharyn and Sunnyday - Will be thinking of you both this week :fingerscrossed:.
LJ - I didn't get any pessaries, can't say I'll be demanding them in a hurry though! Good luck with the BT on Monday.
Jen - Hope all is well.
Mel - After ET I was told to carry on as normal, but no bungee jumping, jetskiing, etc :D . I do find my FS really relaxed about most things but, I did take it really easy, and basically treated my body as if I was pg from that point on.
Positive thoughts to everone else,
Have a great day ladies!
Oh yes, almost forgot, good thinking Miss Ellie,
Beatrice - if you are out there this is for you  :hugs:  !

ivfmummy, your DH sounds wonderful. Good on him!
L.j hope you had a lovely walk with your dog and cuppa with your sister.
Gravel, what's with all the fast cars and helicopters? I hope they didn't disturb you too much.
Hi Bradysmum, big eviction night tonight on BB.
Hello to Sharyn, Leanne, babybernie, Mel-j, Shajake, and Sunnyday. And to everyone else, please don't be offended if I missed you.
I've had a really busy day today, I got up and planned the week's meals and did a shopping list. Then cooked a big brekky for my DH and I (from the CSIRO diet so not an unhealthy one), THEN we went to the shops, came home and put it all away--I like to chop the vegies and things up to make things easier during the week.
Then I cooked a kilo of chicken breasts for sandwiches (I prefer to cook stuff like this, roast beef, corned beef etc for sandwiches rather than buy from the deli), did the prep work for a crock pot meal we'll have on Tuesday (plus extras to freeze), prepared marinade for tonight's dinner and FINALLY used my air sucking device thingy to vacuum pack the chicken into portions to freeze. Whew!! After all that I was so stiff and sore I had to sit down for a while, then had a lovely hot spa.
I haven't been this productive for weeks and now I wish I had another weekend day to get on top of the housework and paperwork. Maybe the week after next I'll take a day or two off.
I know, I really do talk too much in my posts :ecomcity: sorry!
What's everyone else been up to today?
Hi Everyone.
IVFMUMMY - injections dont hurt that much do they? Read your post, and its so true, its the thought that is the scariest!!! Hope they go well for you. Im feeling pretty tired, im on Synarel & Puregon injections now. Im feeling a bit sore in the tummy, but thats life hey.
Miss Ellie I hope you are getting on ok with the medications.
Everyone else, hope all is ok. Hope the 2WW isnt driving you guys too crazy. Im dreading that.
hi everyone
well my weekend has been pretty busy. some friends came over for a chat on friday night. went to my best friends house for dinner, to keep my mind off things. today dh and i went shopping and got him a nice new jumper, but i couldnt find anything i liked so i missed out ( what a bummer). then we had his little cousins 8th birthday.
and tomorrow im back to work. but in the morning im going to call the clinic to ask them when i should go back to see the specialist. i think they said in the next 2 weeks, but im not sure. all i really remember them saying was that i have to stop treatment for now.
i have my dads birthday tomorrow night. so if i dont get a chance to post to tell you what they said. i will post on tues.
has anyone else had a cycle cancelled? and if so why? if you dont mind me asking?
hope everyone has had a great weekend.
Miss Ellie

Hi Leanne, I'm glad you kept busy and took your mind off things for the weekend, I know it can be tough. I totally understand you not really remembering what they said, at times of stress I think its natural that your memory goes--mine certainly does!
Keep yourself busy, find out when you go back for your next cycle and just remember that every time it doesn't work it helps your doctor to know better what needs to be done to get there in the end. :hugs: :hugs:
Hi everyone
Before I go for my walk thought I'd do a quick catch up,
Miss Ellie - We have had an exciting weekend in Tassie, we had the Targa Car Race - the one where they race around the island over a number of days - followed by the press in helicopters! We also had the mine rescue at Beaconsfield. DH is in the industry, and all the state mines have been helping with the rescue effort. It was a great distraction and we are all obviously over the moon that some good came from this disaster! :ecomcity: You sound like a very organised person, I find it hard enough to cook every day let alone plan ahead - good for you!
LeanneJ - A bit of retail therapy always works for me! Hope you get your appointment as soon as possible :hugs: .
Right off to pound the pavements. Have a super day :smiliedance:

Good Morning Everyone!
Had a lovely day yesterday.... was just what I needed!
We saw Failure to Launch at the pictures... it was so funny!
I am hoping I wont have to work much today.... I really want to clean up the spare room...
Gravel and Bradysmum - Yes DH is wonderful although he can be a beast too (like most men hehehe) :devil6:
Miss Ellie - You sound like a wonderful cook :chef: I hear that crock pots are back in fashion... only sorry that my mum threw out her old one.... Are crock pots the same as a slow cooker? I love corned beef too - think I will make that this week.... yummy!
Leannej - Best Wishes hon! :hugs:
Mel-j - Nahh the injections don't hurt, but it really is just the thought.... I got scratched last night (with the needle lol) as I flinched when DH went to give it to me... LOL I thought it would get easier... but I only have had 4 of them so far.... ahhh but it is all worth it. I am so bloated now hehehe
Hope everyone has a lovely Monday!!
Good Luck to Sharyn!! Hope all goes well hon!
And Good Luck to Sunnyday too... :hugs:

Hi Everyone:wave:
Well after all my comotion last week af came full force (and painful) on Thursday! I start injections today :smiliedance: Dh wants to do it coz he feels so left out in the whole process so we are gonna do it at 6 tonight after he gets home for work, not really looking forward to it but I'm excited to get things finally started! I have my first blood test on Friday.
I feel a bit left behind in the posts I'll try to catch up but I'm sorry if I miss anyone
Leanne I'm so sorry to hear that your cycle has been cancelled :hugs: Hopefully it won't be too long till you can try again
MissEllie wow you are definetly organised! I love my slow cooker I cooked with it 3 times last week
Gravel how are you going in your 2ww?? how long till your blood test??
Jenhope you are going well in your 2ww also!
Ivfmummyinjections sound like fun I can't wait  I think I'm gonna be like you just the thought of it scares me!
Mel-J sounds like the drugs are doing thier thing now your belly is getting soarer hopefully they are growing nice and big!
Bradysmum hope you and BRady are doing well!
L.J hope you had a lovely walk with your dog and that you will be in the 2ww soon
hope everyone has a great day!!!!
Hi Sunflower
Great to hear from you! Well its all go for you now :yelclap:. You're lucky to have DH to help out, mine has a needle phobia! Hope it all goes well for you tonight and for your BT on Friday.
I am surviving the 2ww, just. Friday is the big day for me :fingerscrossed: . In the mean time am just trying to keep myself amused and not think about it too much.
Take care,

Hi Leanne
I am really sorry to hear that you had to stop your cylce. I hope that you are feeling okay!!
My very first cycle was cancelled exactly like yours. I was on puregon though. I was on 175 and the follicles didn't grow all that big and after my second scan they decided it was best to cancel the cycle. I was so disappointed and sad, i think i cried for ages after, but i got on with it and tried again the next cycle. They put me on a higher dosage of puregon and i ended up with 8 eggs. I had one transferred and the rest frozen. I also had a HRT cycle cancelled as well ( one of my FET cycles that is ) and i think i was even more upset that time.
It is a huge disappointment when it happens and nothing anyone says to you seems to make it better. When you do ivf for the first time they aren't really sure how your body will react to the drugs, so hopefully next time it will work out for you. And i hope it won't be too long of a wait!! :)
Take care......
Sunnyday

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all having a great day. The weather isn't that wonderful here today, it is very windy and think it may rain!
Only one more sleep until my ET :smiliedance:. I am excited & scared at the same time. I have my pregnyl in the morning before i go to the hospital. I don't really like that very much. It is a similar needle to the trigger inj (in looks i mean) and you mix up the dose in the same way. I don't like it, but it will help keep my embryo in there. Hopefully!!! :fingerscrossed: All of my embryos are growing great, so i'm hoping that i will have at least one to freeze. Hopefully more!!
Hope all you girls are remembering to drink lots of water. Take it from me it is really important, especially after your EPU.
Goodluck with the injections ivfmummy, sunflower and mel, you are all doing really well.....:smiliedance:
Gravel, not too long to go now until your BT. I am glad you are keeping busy. Do you feel, any symptoms yet?? I have my fingerscrossed for you, i can't wait to hear. Are you working or having some time off. I am having this week off work to just be lazy around home.
Hello to everyone else :hugs: , hope you are all well.
Hi Sunnyday, wow i bet you are getting excited!! I would be too.
Everyone else seems to be doing ok.
Leanne, im sorry to hear you had to stop. I dont know how that must feel. I guess keeping busy may help?
Is it common that the drugs dont work first time? I have an ultrasound on Friday, i am hoping im going along ok, but i dont know. I wont be surprised if im not. If that happens, can they up the dose or am i running out of time between ovulating etc etc....
Im sorry if im not up with all the terms, but im only new to this, and this is my first ICSI....
Good Afternoon ladies.
Leanne...I'm sorry to hear about you cycle...I'm sending you lots of cyber :hugs: :fingerscrossed: that the next cycle will be better. Enjoy your dads birthday tonight...And have a drink, you deserve it.
Sunnyday...That's fantastic...Good luck with ET
SharynJ...Glad to hear you're doing well. I'm a bit confused...Are you having an EPU or ET this week?
Miss Ellie...Well done on remembering to take the spray...How are you feeling on the spray. My U/S is on the 8th of May at 7.30pm, looks like we're close to one another. How was the BBQ?. I've been more tired since starting on Synarel and also lots of headaches...But I am a headachy person anyway...Was it you who suggested drinking lots of water?
Gravel...I too want to sneeze for about an hour once I've taken synarel. How are you holding up during your TWW? Not long now till you have a result:fingerscrossed:
Bradysmum...I'm well just busy...How are you? and how is Brady? What's he up to?
Jen...How are you doing?
As for me, not long till I see FS for U/S to hopefully start injections. Counting down the days :smiliedance: I'm getting excited and anxious all at the same time...
As for our weekend, we had a 3 year old birthday party to attend...Jake turns 3 tomorrow and his party is on Sunday, so I'm going to be busy this week getting things organised...I will check in as often as possible but may not be able to post...I'll try my best.
Have a great one and I do look forward to touching base with you all tonight...I'll be chatting with a girlfriend at around 9.30 so I'll be on the pc then...
Until then sending positive vibes to all.
MelJ...I've heard that it can take a few months for them to work out what drugs work and what don't...It's different for everyone and I hope that yours is an uneventful cycle and all progresses the way it should.
Sunnyday

Hi Sharyn,
I am thinking of you and wondering how you are. Are you still having your ET tomorrow? I have my :fingerscrossed: for you. Hope you are well :hugs:
Mel, Hi...I don't know if it is common that the drugs don't work the first time, i just meant that i suppose with the first time, as you haven't had the drugs before they don't really know what dose to put you on. You can't really compare with others either as everyones body is different. When i first started ivf, my dr. said to me to expect to do at least two full cycles till we get it right. Some people are lucky i guess and they get it right first time. Hopefeully i have explained that okay ?!?!? I am sure that you are doing fine. Stay positive and i have my :fingerscrossed: for you. You are doing great.
Shajake, Hi i am glad you are doing well. Wow, three year old party to organise how much fun that will be. We have had a weekend full of kids birthday parties.
I am glad school is back tomorrow!! My DDs have made a shop in my lounge room full of dolls and prams!!!!!

Mel-j, I’m going fine with the Synarel so far… haven’t forgotten to take it once!
Gravel, the Targa car race sounds exciting, DH watches car racing but I’ve never heard of that one. I’ve been hearing about the mine rescue on the radio, I cried when they found the man dead, and even more when they found the other two alive! Even driving home tonight they were talking about it on the radio and I was so emotional about it. What a wonderful thing, I hope they can get them out soon. :fingerscrossed:
Ivfmummy, I think crock pots and slow cookers are the same. I get on an American “get organised” web forum and they are always talking about them so I bought mine late last year… which was a bad time to buy because in summer I didn’t feel like that sort of food. In the last couple of weeks I’ve used it heaps and I love that the sort of meals I cook in it are the sort that can be easily frozen so I can actually cook dinner for two or three nights in one go!
Sunflower, good luck with your injections. It’s lovely that your DH wants to do them to be involved. My DH does mine because I hate needles. He doesn’t mind doing them because his first wife did IVF too years ago and he learned then to do them. Plus we had a diabetic cat that he used to inject every night with insulin.
Sunnyday, you are right about them not knowing how your body will react. Good luck for ET tomorrow :fingerscrossed: . It’s interesting that your doc said it can take at least two full cycles, I never thought of it like that before. You know I read somewhere it took Brooke Shields SEVEN goes of IVF to have her first daughter, I don’t know if I could keep going that long, and then there is the money (not that Brooke would have to worry about that I guess). And her second pregnancy was conceived naturally, how amazing.
Shajake, the spray makes me want to sneeze and I feel really congested all through the side of my head I sprayed for an hour or so afterwards. My first BT is on Sunday, hopefully I’ll start the injections soon after. AF is due on Friday. Hopefully you can start your injections soon! I’ve been tired since starting Synarel too but I’m not sure if that’s just me. Happy birthday for Jake for tomorrow! :bday:
Sharyn, where have you gone, I hope you're OK, please let us know how you're doing!
Hi to babybernie, bradysmum, L.j, Leanne, hope you are all doing well.
Hehe to those that think I’m organised I’m so flattered by the compliment… I can be incredibly organised when I’m in the right frame of mind but when I’m not look out it’s takeaway for weeks on end. If you read back in this thread to when I had my last FET you’ll see that I spent WEEKS eating takeaway and bemoaning my loss of motivation. I have to confess though that I didn’t do ANY clothes washing on the weekend so I’m not very organised there (but I did do a load this morning when I discovered I am about to run out of underwear :o ). But it feels good to be getting the food under control, as I’ve said before I’m overweight and I’d like to drop a little before becoming pregnant (yes it WILL happen) later this month.
Bye for now
Mardi

Sunnyday, good luck tomorrow with your ET!!!!!:smiliedance:
Shajake, please wish Jake a HAPPY BIRTHDAY:bday: :bday: !!!!
Have a good evening ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good Evening All,
Another cold day in Tassie. Hope you are all doing well.
Sunnyday - Luckily I don't work at the moment so for us, trying IVF now is perfect timing. As to symptoms, I find it hard to tell what is symptom and what is pregnyl! As it is so early I would have to imagine it is nearly all pregnyl but I do have the af type cramps - now and again, full (.)(.), and so on. Am afraid it is out of my hands now, roll on Friday, if we make it that far!
All the very best for tomorrow, enjoy, rest up and take it very easy :fingerscrossed:. Glad to hear you are off work, probably a really good idea as it is hard to relax at work.
Shajake - Thank you, I am holding up reasonably well so far. The one or two friends that know what I am doing have said I am very casual about the whole thing - suppose after 14 years ttc, what's another month?
Happy 3rd Birthday to Jake!!! :smiliedance:
Miss Ellie - Yes, hope they get them out safely too!
Sharyn - Are you MIA? How are you?
Good night everyone.
One last thing, Bradysmum, you are tormenting me! I love BB and this year we are not getting it in this part of Tassie - it's killing me... Have considered trying to watch online but that's just not the same. :banghead:. Just had to let you know how jealous I am!
:crying: Enjoy it... :crying:

Hello Everyone,
Sorry I have been remiss in posting anything - it has been a long weekend.
Well, out of the 6 eggs they retrieved, they called on Saturday to say they had successfully fertilised four. I am scheduled to have two implanted at 11.15 tomorrow. Since the call on Saturday, I have been living in fear that I will receive another call to say they have not successfully progressed ( that's what happened on our last cycle) but so far, no call. The scientist on Saturday said they would only call if there was a problem. I have been jumping like crazy when the phone has rung since !! Still, I can't get complacent - I keep worrying that maybe they have forgotten etc etc ( it was a public holiday here today). I sure hope this is not the case...I know I a probably worrying for nothing but I am so nervous it is not funny. How the HELL am I going to cope in the dreaded 2ww??? Any hints??
Thanks so much for all of your support. I know you are all going through the same thing, so hopefully understand how irrational I have been.:)
I have tried to submit a post a couple of times but got so emotional, and then didn't want to jinx myself? I feel like I am losing my mind !!!
Special love to Miss Ellie, Sunnyday, IVFMummy, Gravel - and ALL of you other lovelies.
I am going to try and get to bed now. Hope you are all well and I look forward to catching up on everyone's journies when I get back tomorrow. ( Or actually, I may just stay in bed when I get home tomorrow but will be here on Wednesday to check in!!)
Much love !!:hugs:
PS - All going to plan, Sunnyday and I will be expecting at exactly the same time!!!:fingerscrossed:

Hi everyone,
This is also my first time on chat and first time at IVF. Tomorrow is day 1 of my period on the pill and at day 21 I will be starting the nasal spray. I am seeing Dr Hedges at Hunter IVF and he is absolutely fantastic.
I am 25 and DH is 27. I have PCOS and endo and he has low sperm count, etc. We are going ICSI first time round and hope to have some luck. We have been ttc since Nov 2001.
Is anyone else starting a cycle this month?
Nicole.
Hi Niki. Nice to meet you. Im new to this site also.
I started with the pill last month, then day 21 i went on the nasal spray, im still taking that now. On Thursday just gone, i started Puregon injections, once a day.. along with the spray twice a day.
Its my first time trying ICSI, my partner had a vasectomy and it has been reversed and its not going too well. Very low motility etc etc...
So, on friday i go for an ultrasound and im hoping :fingerscrossed: that im at the right stage, and then they can give me a date to retrieve whatever they can!!
If not, im hoping, at worst, i will have to take the injections a bit longer... i dont want to have to cancel this cycle due to poor reaction to drugs. Ive heard this can happen.
Anyway, goodluck with your cycle. Any questions, feel free to email me.

Thanks Mel.
Good luck with your ultrasound. I hate the thought of having to cancel too after going through the initial stages and waiting.
Hope all goes well for you.
Nic.
Good Evening Everyone
Welcome to Mybabyemmy and Nicole, nice to meet you both. Nic you won't find any shortage of great people here to help you through your journey. Mybabyemmy, that would be right, another person watching BB :D - am spitting chips here in Tassie!
IVFMummy - Glad to hear your injections are going better! Someone told me to make sure the area is dry after you have swabbed it, otherwise it can slip and scratch.
Sunflower - Hope you can relax and that it won't be so bad tonight. Shajake is right, I found it much easier to pinch the skin really hard and then inject. Or even ice the area first... Good luck!
To everyone else, have a super night and all the best.
P.S. I do get DWTS!
Miss Ellie

Gravel, how awful not getting BB! I’m afraid I’m totally addicted!
Sharyn!! I’m so glad to hear from you. It’s natural to be emotional and worried but fingers crossed all will be well. :fingerscrossed: How did your ET go today?
Mybabyemmy, welcome! Of course you can join us, they’re a lovely bunch of people here :D Your little Emily is so cute!
Ivfmummy, good on you!
Sunflower, I don’t look when DH is injecting, I find it helps that I have a lovely big roll of fat on my belly too!
Niki080au, welcome to you too! Good luck with your cycle! I started Synarel spray last Friday.
Mel-j, imagine saying you are new to the site, you are an old timer by now :D. My DH had a vasectomy reversal too, low motility is the problem. Fingers crossed for your ultrasound Friday!
Sunnyday how are you going?
Hello to Bradysmum, Shajake and everyone else!
I have an audit committee teleconference at 8:30 tonight, I hate these night time T/Cs, the last one went till nearly 11pm.

Hello All,
Well, two embryos ( 7 & 8 cell - is this okay?)have been transferred - now I just wait in hope.:fingerscrossed:
Can anyone give me advice as to what is okay to do now - eg is it okay to go and walk around the shops or should I try to rest? I know not to bath, sweat, have sex ( as if you'd want to :D ) etc
but what CAN I do?? I have a bit of a headache today, but tomorrow I think I would like to get out of the house !
Bradysmum - how many did you have transferred to get the beautiful Brady?
Thanks again everyone for your valued supprt. I shall check in again later !
Sharyn
x
Hi Sharyn, wow 7 & 8 cell embryo is great.
Well done. So did the transfer hurt?? Im a big chicken thats all.
I thought you could have sex? I mean not that i will want to either, but in my information pack it says its ok?
Anyway, good luck with it all. :fingerscrossed:
Good Afternoon
What a lousy day, we have had hail, sleet and sheet rain. It is freezing and walking today was not much of a pleasure!
Sharyn J - Well done on your transfer :yelclap: . Welcome to the dreaded 2ww.
Mel-J - I think every FS or RE has his/her own set of guidelines and advice. We had no restrictions on sex, but I know of some couples that were advised not to from beginning to end! It would seem that different rules apply to every step of the journey, depending on where you are treated and this applies to nearly everything - medications, rest periods, blood tests, lifestyle changes - not only sex!
Sunflower - Glad to hear it is going better for you now. Thanks I am feeling fine, still waiting, waiting. Yes, two more sleeps :fingerscrossed:!
BabyBerrnie - Jen where are you? How are you going?
Have a great day :D

Hi Everyone,
Well, I have my embryo, a blastocyst was transferred. We are happy about that.
I am still feeling sore and a little nauseated, not sure why i am feeling the nausea, maybe its from the pregnyl. I'm not sure.
Just wanted to let you all know how i'm doing.
Hope you are all well. I'll catch up again soon!!
Hi Sunnyday wow that is so fantastic. :smiliedance:
I bet you are so happy. All the best. Rest up and let us know how you go.:fingerscrossed:
Hi all.. ive heard conflicting reports on this, so i wanted to ask anyone on here who maybe knows.
My doctor said it was ok to have a glass of wine a night if we wanted, so what do you guys think? We are doing ICSI as you all know, and im on Synarel and Puregon now, so do you think i should stop all together (we dont drink much) just sometimes a glass at night with a meal, not always though.
Some people say not to have any.
Im confused now.:ecomcity:

Hi Mel,
I was told by my patient coordinator not to have any caffeine and not to have any alcohol whilst on treatment....
So for me that also means no chocolate.....
No caffeine, no chocolate and no wine.... my life is over!!! :banghead:
But it is all worth it in the end.....

Hi Everyone
Gosh it's cold in Tassie.
Just to let you know that it's a BFN for me, but please don't be discouraged in any way - DH and I have been ttc for 14 years with many different procedures and protocols. Frankly if this had worked first time I would believe my FS could walk on water too :D.
Have to travel today to the clinic, they want to check something for next time. What a pain. Treated myself with a real cup of coffee this morning - will be on super alert the entire journey!
Sunnyday - Well done - look after yourself and take it easy :fingerscrossed: !
Take care everyone and all the very best for now, will check in as soon as I get back.

Mel-j,
Sorry for not replying sooner ! Meant to tell yiu that the transfer was surprisingly painless - really ! Doc told me I could get up and I hadn't even realised he had done it :D . BTW, i detest pap smears and usually jump like crazy - but didn't feel this at all ! So, you can be calmer now darl!
Hello to everyone else!
Sharyn
Thanks sharyn
I feel a lot better now!! I had my blood test today to see how my estrogen level is... then my scan tomorrow.
Im feeling like a pin cushion now! Im so hoping that i get a good result tomorrow with the scan. I really dont want to go on much more with all these injections.

04-05-2006, 11:09
Hi Mel,
Glad that info has made you feel better ! Good luck with your scan !:)
Hello all -
Haven't posted for a while sorry - have planned to sit in front of the computer several times but something has always "come up".
Gravel - I am so so sorry about your result. We have all been hoping & keeping all fingers and toes crossed for you. Its such an anti climax and let down - but you seems to be coping OK. It s hard but you have to keep your chin up. Let us know how u get on at your appt and what the plan is next.
Sharjake & Mel J - Good luck with your scans. I hope they give you the results you want.
IVF Mummy - Congrats - u seem to be going well with your injections. I have to admit I have not needed any injections - which is lucky in one sense - but I quite often think I would prefer injections over the pessaries. Yes the needles may sting for a while but the pessaries are time consumming and messy - I think I'd rather the pain (although I don't think I'm as scared of needles as u by the sounds of things - keep up the good work
My BabyEmmy - Welcome as well!!!! You sound like you have a full house (teenagers?) - tough work? Good luck with this cycle
Leanne J - Glad u are still in contact. Cancelled cycles are horrible!! Hope fully u are in the planning for the next one. I have had about 3 cycles cancelled (cried every-time :( ) Once because it would have clashed with Xmas (luckly I was not too far into the cycle) and others because by bloods were very poor and I had not reacted to the meds I was on. After one of my cancelled cycles my DH made the point that he would rather the cycle be cancelled then and before a transter and b4 any embies had been thawed rather than waste any of our precious ones - so true. But yet so hard to get your head around a cancellation. Chin up and keep busy
Sharyn J - Conratulations girl on your tranfere and beautiful embies. WOW 4!! and 2 transfered!! How exciting - you are potentially mother to twins!! I'm a twin myself so I get a little excited about these things
Nic - Welcome - a fellow Novacastrian!!! Yayy!!! I have only been "chatting" for the last couple of weeks so I am relatively new as well. I too am going thru HIVF and am seeing Dr Raymond. He is lovely as well. Good luck and will be thinking of you in a few weeks when u start the spray - this is a great thread so make sure u keep in touch!!
Well I guess I should give everyone an update.
I had my BT on Monday and they were happy with it so was lucky enough to have our transfer on Wednesday (yesterday)!! YAYYY!!! They only had to thaw 1 emby which I was releaved about - I always expect the worst and try to prepare my self incase any are lost during the thawing. I took it easy yesterday and also have today off work. Although I have had to look after DH as he has hurt his back and cannot walk very well (spent 5 hours at the emergency dept at the hospital on Tues night - fun!! Not!!) He is going OK but will be out of action for a while and will have xrays tomorrow - although the DR's think it is only muscular. Lucky for us we have family close by to help. Anyway...... back on the track..... I also had a blood test on the day of our ET as last time my Prgesterone was very low. Its still quite low so I am now on 8 pessaries a day!! 3 in the morning and at night and 2 at lunch time. I think most girls normally start on 2 a day - so I feel like a bit of a freak. I have another BT tommorrow to see if the levels are increasing:fingerscrossed: and I am going throught the stage of feeling every little niggle and sensation and thinking "is that normal"?? I am driving myself mad. Does anyone else do this during the 2WW?
Anyway girls - time for those darling pessaries. Hope all are well. Will let you all know how I get on with my BT
Baby Bernie (Jen) - Thinking of you during your TWW. Let me know how u are feeling
Hi LJ
Thats great that you are in the 2WW, well i am hearing more and more how frustrating it can be. I wish you all the best with it. How exciting though!!
So as most of you will know, i can blabber on and ask too many questions, and well, im a bit bored right now so i want to know...
Of everyone who has tried IVF/ICSI who has had injections and then had the ultrasound to see when you can have the ET , and found out that all had gone well and follicles were right size, and off you went for trigger etc, etc, and then ET was scheduled?
Im just keen for tomorrow to come to find out!! I just dont want to be told i need to keep going with injections!!

Hello and welcome to all the new ladies, you will find great support here.
Good luck and warm wishes to everyone else at their stage in their journey

Hi Lilmissy Moo - nice to 'meet' you !
LJ - thanks for your well wishes. I am excited/ terrified !
Everyone, I desperately need some advice. Clinic called today to advise that the two remaining embryos did not 'develop' thus not able to freeze. My question is does this mean the ones they transferred would likely have stopped developing also? I am petrified.
Mind you, am feeling LOTS of niggly twinges and sensations -also driving myself mad like LJ!
Can anyone tell me if they have had a similar experience and what the outcome was?
Thanks ladies...I await your replies !
Much love. xx:hugs:

Hi Sharyn
Congratulations on your ET.
I don't know the answer to your question about your embryos not being able to be frozen but I'm sure I've heard of pregnancies resulting from embryos being transferred that wouldn't be OK to freeze. Anyway, every embryo is different and they obviously picked the two best ones to transfer!
Try not to worry about everything, impossible I know.
You're doing great, I have positive vibes for you... coming your way.....
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you :fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: and sending you lots of hugs also. :hugs: :hugs:

:hugs: Mardi,
Thank you for that response- you have seriously made me feel a lot better. I have been VERY weepy since that phone call yesterday. I really wouldn't be coping as well if it wasn't for you and the other lovely ladies in this forum.
Am having a lot of trouble sleeping - waking up every 1-2 hours. Usually, I sleep really well. I guess it's natural to be anxious but I really thought I'd handle this 2WW a little better. It's only been three days - feels like three weeks already! I have to wait until the 18th for a PT ...I know we are are all doing it tough - we just have try and stay positive. Thanks again for calming me down !
So how is Canberra today? Lovely and cold I bet !! It went down to five degrees here the other night - that's bloody cold for us. I was excited to be able to snuggle up in the winter woollies !
Am considering leaving the house today ( WOOOOOO- scary!:) ). I have to somehow change my train of thought ! I have been focussing on the news and I really do appreciate how blessed I am, say in comparison to those poor bloody miners and their families, or LOTS of other people in the world.for that matter. I just have to try and remember that!
Well have a great day and I will be back later to check in !
Bye for now!!!

Hi Everyone,
Thought i'd better check in and let everyone know what i'm up to.
Still waiting.....
I have been trying to keep busy and not worry about the 2ww. I had a few days rest after my ET which was good, i needed it and felt like sleeping lots. Yesterday i went out for the first time, for lunch for my sisters birthday which was nice, but i was so so tired when i came home.
Today i feel pretty good and have been out this morning and even watered the garden. I don't think that would hurt. I keep on asking my DH if this would hurt or if that would hurt. I know it sounds silly but i want to really take it easy this time. I have to go back to work next week, i mean i only work two days so its not too bad.
I have been keeping up with everyone on here and you are all doing so well. Good on you all :smiliedance: keep it up.
Take care
hi everyone i hope you don't mind me joining in but i am just new to bubhub and i came across you guys. my name is kylee and i live in wa and am the proud mum of a 2yr9mth old ivf little girl georgia. i was on the full hormone replacement ivf having 2 injections, 6 tablets and 8 pesseries a day. yes it was a complete nightmare but when i stop and look what i have now i just think how lucky i am. when we first started ivf i was just on 1 injection a day and that was ok but what ended up happening was i hyperstimulated and i produced hundreds of eggs but only 22 where mature enough to harvest so i had them taken and because i hyperstimulated due to polycystic ovarian syndrome my cycle had to be cancelled as i had to wait for all of the imature eggs to be flushed from my system, so my 22 eggs where fertilised but only 5 of them were viable so they where then frozen and waiting for me to be rid of the rest. so anyway a few months down the track we had the all clear to start again but what then happened was my hormone levels decided they would not get high enough to support the pregnancy so then they but me on another sort of ivf, by this time i am now losing the plot a bit or should i say a lot but i bit the bullet and went ahead so i was now on 2 injections a day plus tablets this went on for a couple of months and there was still no sign of my levels getting high enough so thats when they put me on the full hormone treatment. let me tell you this girls i was the women from hell my husband and family were just great though supporting me all the way. but now the good bit was after all of this my levels where high enough to have the embryos implanted so they put in 2 and only 1 took but hey you only need one to take. so after 2 years of injecting myself, tablets, and those bloody pesseries i was finally pregnant. so please girls believe me when i say no matter what the pain and heart ache you go through have faith because it can happen for you and my little miracle is living proof. may god bless you all as he did me:)

Hi Kylee,
Thank you for sharing your inspirational story with us. It has certainly made me feel better ! Congratulations on little Georgia !
Hope you will stay in the thread and keep us all motivated - thanks again !:)
Hi girls -
You HAVE been quiet today.
First WELCOME to Monty (Kylie). Thanx for your story. It gives us something to hold onto and goes to show that dreams can come true!!
Sharyn J - I know news like that can be scary but just because 2 little embies did not make it does not mean they all won't. As Miss Ellie said they are going to pick the healthiest looking embies to transfer in the first place so that could make all the difference. I think you had your ET on the day b4 me (mine was Wednesday) I have been having LOADS of twinges and niggles. Especially really low in my groin and a slightly tender pubic region (TMI??). I was a bit worried but had a blood test today to check my progesterone and it as all good. The nurses are happy with my levels so that makes me feel HEAPS better. I think these feelings are quite normal. Imagine the changes our bodies are going thru with all these hormones pumping thru us - there has to be some kind of sensation!! Did u have a 3 or 5 day transfer? I know its hard but try to keep busy (but not too active) to keep your mind off these "symptoms". Let me know how u get on over the weekend
Sunnyday & Babie Bernie- How is your 2WW going. Are u feeling any "symptoms"?
Mel J - How did your scan go? Sorry I didn't go thru this part of the cycle you are doing so can't give you any helpful info but am hoping all is good :fingerscrossed:
Hope everyone has a great weekend

Hi Everyone!
Haven't had a chance to read everyone's posts or reply to emails in the last 24 hours - hope everyone is well and happy! I'll try to be on the computer tomorrow evening... if not then on Sunday.
Just want to quickly tell you all my news....
Had my BT and Scan early this morning....
Results are great.... a good amount of folicles are there... more on the right than the left ovary.
Have had to drop my Gonal f from 225 to 150iu and they may drop it again further after another BT tomorrow morning....
Trigger injection is scheduled for Sunday and EPU is Tuesday (they will let me know the times tomorrow) ET on Friday. :yelclap:
So it's all happening and my patient co-ordinator is very happy with the results :smiliedance:
I feel really tired and bloated... working tomorrow and on Monday morning, then will have a week or so off....
I am off to bed now.... zzzzzzzzzz
Have a great weekend everyone!!
Hi Andrea Well done on the good work!! Hope your BT goes well today and you'll soon be able to join us in the 2WW.... Yayyyy!!!
Don't push yourself too much at work tomorrow & on Monday (but at least it will keep you busy). Will be thinking of u thru next week
L.J ;)
Hi Everyone, am just doing a quick post, am not really feeling to cheery right now. I had my scan yesterday, not good. I have to cancel my cycle now. The doctor was quite surprised, he said with my age and weight all in good range, he thought i would have had a good result.
I had two follicles, very small, and thats it. So, back to square one. I have been bawling for ages!:gloomy:
I have to wait for another period, and then start from scratch with the pill, spray and then double dose 300 on Puregon.
Great news to Andrea, that is fantastic. Im really happy for you.
Everyone else, all the best. LJ, all the best, you sound like you are doing really well :smiliedance:

Hi Mel,
I am so sorry for your cancelled cycle. It's horrible to have that happen. I hope that you aren't too down about it, but remember it's good to cry and talk lots about what is happening. Thats what we are here for.
Just think that next time they will know what to do with your medication and will get it right that time. I have my :fingerscrossed: for your next cycle, which i am sure will work out just fine for you. Big :hugs: to you.
Take care
Thanks so much Bradysmum and Sunnyday for your kind words.
I really appreciate it. Im hoping next time i will be ok. Im worried my ovaries may be slowing down... my fsh levels were a tad up, but the doctor said they were only on the higher end of normal ... so, hopefully :fingerscrossed: next time i will do fine.
Its just so sad because we have missed 1 chance to have a baby, and now we try again. I just dont want to be knocked back too many times.
Im better today though. So thanks again girls.

Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to this site.
Firstly GOOD LUCK to everyone that is currently in the middle of a cycle. And the same to everyone that is drawing nearer.
Everyone on their 2WW, BEST OF LUCK my thoughts are with you. I found this time was the hardest mentally.
Mel-j - I'm sorry to hear about your cancelled cycle. I hope that they will get everything right for your next cycle.
Ivfmummy - :fingerscrossed: for your ET on Tuesday.
I am 35 & DH is 33, married for 3 years started TTC straight after our honeymoon with no luck. Due to my long history of problems we started investigations after 18 months of TTC. Turns out both of us had a problem, so ICSI was our only option.
We decide to tell everyone of our journey, as we thought that the support would be invaluable. After two unsuccesful attempts we decided to keep the next go to ourselves. Even tho we knew that everyone meant well, that old comment "Just relax and it will happen" made me want to commit murder.
Something I kept telling myself & which really helped me cope with each unsucessful attempt & the well meaning comments from family and friends was - We have the right to greive for the loss of the baby that never was. Don't let anyone try to tell you any different.
We had out 3rd ET on my inlaws 35th wedding anniversary and got a positive result on DH's 33rd birthday. This is by far the best birthday present that he has ever received.
Hamish Christopher was born 14.04.06 2 weeks early.
IVF was a journey that I never really wanted to embark on, but life sometimes hands you a curveball. Hopefully because of this I will have become a stronger person and this will hopefully make me a better parent.
Again best of luck to all.

hi there all. i am a male. my wife and i are 28yrs old going thru sydney ivf.
i would like to hear if others have gone thru the scenario we are in.
my wife has been taking lucrin injection and then gonal F when they advise to start that. after some time they begin taking blood tests (and ultrasounds) - on both occasions, we have been advised the blood levels are not rising enough to develop eggs which are mature enough to retrieve.
so we are just advise to do the trigger injectionand try naturally - no luck.
on the second cycle, the gonal F was doubled to 300 (on the little pen needle thing).
has anyone else had a similar kind of issue? its one thing to say IVF doesnt work because the embryo's dont take/attatch - but to not even get to that stage is extremely frustrating/annoying/sad - alot of emotions!
I am also interested on the general view/thoughs on sydney ivf, alot of ppl on this forum seem to go thru ivf australia - and they seem to do a few things different (eg the nasal spray). so im curious to know if there is a reason.
you can reply back on the forum - or private message.
thanks i look forward ot the feedback.

Sunnyday - How are you? Any tips for the 2ww??
monte - Welcome!! :hugs:
justrace - Welcome!! Thanks for your good wishes!! :hugs:
telco_syd - Welcome! Best of luck with your IVF journey!
Nitey nite everyone..... Have a lovely weekend!!
Hi Antonio -
I have been going thru IVF only since Oct last year. I am going thru HIVF (Hunter IVF) in Newcastle and I am very happy with them ( but no bub yet?) My cycle is much different to yours as I don't need the injections but I have had about 3 cancelled cycles due to me not responding to my medications. Its very frustrating and emotionally draining. I am on my 2WW at the moment and this time did not use the nasal spray (my first 2 transferes I did use it) As hard as it is, and once I was past the "teary" phase after a cancellation, I guess I just kept thinking that each cancellation was another step to getting my medications for the next cycle right for me.
Do you have a councellor, nurse or patient co-ordinator you can talk to at SIVF and vent all your questions onto. My DH and I organized an appointment with ours after our 2nd transfer failed and we were both angry/upset etc. It helped alot and answered all our questions and was able to let us plan for the next cycle appropriatly.
Sorry I can't be of any more help - maybe some of the other girls here will be. Your wife is more than welcome to join this thread if she wants to "chat"
Good luck

Hi All,
IVFMummy - I will be praying for you and keeping fingers crossed:fingerscrossed: . Good luck with your EPU.
This 2ww feels like 2 year wait, but it will be over in 11 days....hopefully with a happy outcome. Had the most disturbing dream last night about walking up a footpath and there were hundreds of snakes - some dead - and they were biting me on the toes. My dear friend is convinced this is a 'weird pregnancy dream'- I pray she is correct! Still getting twinges - I suppose this is better than not feeling anything? It's all so different for everyone. I am also getting up in the night frequently to go to the loo - I am sure it must be far too early for this to be a pregnant thing, so can only put it down to nerves.Patience is not one of my virtues!
Miss Ellie - Hope you are great today !! How are DH and the cats? How is the cycle going? Thinking of you.
Mel - I am sorry that you had to stop your cycle early, but have confidence that this has allowed them to learn more about you so that they get it right next time !! My thoughts are with you - I understand how devastating this can be. Hang in there - you'll be injecting again before you know it !!
Sunnyday - I am very excited about you getting your result on the 12th and look forward to hearing the exciting news !:) .
Anyway girls, am at work with Dh, so will sign off now.
Love to all
Sharyn

Hi everyone, I haven't had a good catch up for a while so let's see how I go...
Sharyn, how are you going? It is a yukky wet windy day here today. I’ve just got home from grocery shopping and it’s a good afternoon to snuggle under a rug with a good book, some kittens and some treats. Hope everything is good for you and you aren’t stressing too much! Your snakes dream is WEIRD! And I reckon the need to go to the toilet a lot could be a symptom, the first time I was pregnant (in Jan/Feb, ended in MC) I needed to go heaps all of a sudden about a week after the transfer.
Sunnyday, congrats on your blastocyst transfer. Good luck with the 2WW! Let us know how you are going.
Gravel, I’m so sorry about your BFN. You are amazingly calm about it, good on you, but make sure you let off steam if you need to, that’s what we’re here for. :hugs:
L.j, congratulations to you on your transfer. That’s a lot of pessaries, I found four a day hard enough to deal with. Good luck with the 2WW, keep posting how you are going.
Babybernie, how is your 2WW going?
Monte, hi and welcome, stories like yours are so wonderful to hear, it gives us all hope that we might get our own little miracle one day.
Ivfmummy, good luck with your trigger injection tonight and EPU Tuesday.
Mel-j, I’m so sorry about your cancelled cycle. Just try to move on and see it as a step towards your doctor knowing the right level of medications for you. HUGS :hugs: and come here to vent as often as you need.
Justrace, hi and welcome to you too, and like I said to Monte, wonderful positive stories like yours give us so much hope for ourselves.
Telco_syd, hi and welcome. I’m sorry you and your wife are having so much trouble. Keep posting, and maybe your wife would like to join us too. I guess you can only hope that all the failed attempts are helping your doctor to better understand what you need for it to work.
Hi to sunflower, Bradysmum, Leanne, lilmissymoo, and everyone else.
Sharyn, DH and the cats are doing well! As I said above it is a yukky day here so some of my cats and all of the kittens are being really lazy and sleeping near heater vents. Lazy creatures! I hope the weather is nicer in Brisbane than it is here. HUGS! :hugs:
OK now for an update on where DH and I are at...
DH spoke to the embryologist about his, er, sample and thankfully there are some sperm there. Because of the vasectomy causing low motility we have to have ICSI, where they inject a sperm into each egg. I think we might have had that last time too. So I am very relieved as I had heard that after a vasectomy reversal sperm count can drop off to zero after a couple of years, and it is two years in July.
I had a BT today, which is day ten of Synarel, and picked up my Puregon injecting kit. How exciting!!!!! I have another BT on Tuesday so I expect I’ll find out then when injections start. Eeeeeek exciting AND scary.
Hi Everyone
Thanks for all your support! We next see our FS for the u/s before FET - which should be around four weeks, he may have some results for us then too. Am pretty happy with the break, my cycle was a very long one with the gonal-F doubled for that extra week so it's a good opportunity to clear my body of all the chemicals.
As we only have one on ice, am already thinking beyond FET. Am considering trying to cycle here - on the correct dosage this time - and then travelling to Melbourne for EPU, PGD and ET. Anyone else doing PGD? Anyway, enough about me... :ecomcity:
To all the newcomers a big welcome, it is great to meet you.
IVFMummy - Well done :yelclap: . Good luck with your EPU - how exciting.
Babybernie, Sharyn and Sunnyday - :fingerscrossed: for you all. Take it easy.
Mel - Am so sorry :hugs: ! Anyway, Next time will be better and they should have it all under control.
Miss Ellie - Thanks, as always. Did have a good cry last week, blamed the hormones! Went to a super cocktail party on Friday, and DH and I shared a bottle of wine and gave the whole matter some thought last night. Am now well and truly ready to move on and try again. It gives me a chance to really concentrate on DS for a while, apple of our eyes!
Take care everyone, have a great Sunday.

Hi Everyone,
Well, i'm with sharon and feel as if this 2ww is a 2 year wait. I don't like waiting at all. Yesterday i was convinced that i am pregnant and this morning was all upset and thinking that i'm not. Who knows! I am having some headaches which isn't good. I am a headachey person anyhow, but to me its a sign of something coming. But i have also read that it is a sign of pregnancy. I had headaches during my last pregnancy, but that was some years ago now and i can't really remember any of the symptoms. I just don't want to get my hopes up and then be let down. So i want to be positive but i know what it is like to have the let down as well.
Well, enough of me or i'll be feeling all depressed again!!!!
Wow, there are so many people on here now i don't know if i am up to date. I will have to get with it and start catching up.
Miss Ellie, Hi, wow, not long now until you start your injections :smiliedance: I bet you are excited about that. Well not about the inj part but on the road to the EPU. I truly hope you get a great result this time. I have everything crossed for you. Your cats sound like a handfull!
Ivfmummy, How are you feeling about your trigger? Goodluck with it and have my :fingerscrossed: for you EPU on Tuesday :hugs:
Sharyn, Hope your having a nice day today. I have been feeling yuk today and can't wait until Friday. This waiting is a nightmare. Think i may go to work tomorrow so i don't have to think about it!
L.J, Welcome to the dreaded wait. Congratulations on your ET. I wish you lots of luck. :hugs:
Hello to everyone else, you are doing so well. When i have some more time i will try and catch up with all the new ladies. Welcome to everyone.
Take care

I am so glad to hear that you are feeling much better. I want to wish you the best of luck with whatever you decide to try next. :hugs:
While I haven't posted much on this thread, I have been following all your stories. I'd like to throw out congratulations and hugs to all that need it.
I hope all of your dreams come true.
pssssst - it may be time to start a new thread before this one breaks ;)

Hi girls, so much has been happening and it's hard too catch up but I want you all to know that Im still here reading through everything and Im thinking of you girls all the time!! I havent forgotten any of you!! And all my prayers and wishes are with every single one of you:hugs:  !!
I will check in later after Big Brother!!!!
Hello again,
I can't beieve what a great thread this is. I swear I would not be coping as well if it wasn't for reading everyones posts and getting all the "postitve vibes" - I think DH is better off for it as well.
Hope every one has had a great weekend. Its been gorgeous here although I haven't been out much as am nursing DH with his injured back - I thought they were supposed to be looking after us??
Mel J - I am so sorry to hear about your cancelled cycle. I hope u are feeling a little better. The other girls are right - it helps to think of it as an oppurtunity to get the doses right for next time. You need to treat yourself to something nice. Go shopping or enjoy a nice bottle of wine. It sounds like Gravel has the right idea the cocktail party sounded like a blast!!!! Well done Gravel - anything to pick up and feel better
Justrace - Thankyou for your fantastic story. It certainly gives me something to hold on to. So it was 3rd time lucky for you? I've just had my 3rd ET and am almost half way thru the 2WW. Hamish is such a beautiful name
IVF Mummy - I'll be thinking of u on Tuesday. Let us all know how got on. Fingers crossed for lots of healthy eggs :fingerscrossed:
Sharyn J - Your dream sounds very weird!! But if its a fertility dream then I want one too!! I'm not sure about the biting toes but am used to snakes. I was a vet nurse up until 2 years ago and handled them alot (non venomous ones of course!!)
Miss Ellie - Good luck for your up coming appts and tests. I hope you start using the injections very soon (I know they are scary but its all for a good cause  )
Gravel - Have you had PGD before? Sorry I hope you don't mind me asking :D but it is something we have looked into as well as my DH and I are carriers of a genetic illness and it is something we have looked into as well (but have not been able to put into action yet)
Sunny Day - I am the same as you. One miniute I think I am pregnant and the other I think I'm not. I have been thinking of what I want to do if our BT comes back as a BFN. Like spending the day at the Hunter Valley vineyards and tasting wines etc. I know it sounds a bit mad but I kind of think it will help me cope better if it is negative.......... and if its positive... then YAYYYY!!!!
Baby Bernie (Jen) - are you still out there. Youv'e been a bit quiet. Are you OK? :o
Nici080au - How are you going? Isn't the taste of the Synarel delicious? ..... not!!
Hope everyone has a great week (I know - I don't like Mondays either) - keep in touch

Jaderocks, hi, how do we make a new thread before this one breaks? Is it just a case of starting a new thread and calling it the same as this plus part 2? Sorry, I've never really participated in a thread before :D
And then how do people get redirected to the new one?
I am really conscious I'm probably asking some REALLY dumb questions here :o
I don't want this thread to break!

Hi Bradysmum
I'm loving BB. I knew it would be Elise and Tilli to get evicted so yay 2 out of 2 so far! It's funny I started off disliking Anna and Katie and now I think they are my favourites. For now anyway.
How about you? Are you getting into it?
Just to change the subject, Poppy was sleeping in her basket and a kitten got in and cuddled up with her. It was so cute, Poppy had her arms around the kitten, it looked like she had her own little teddy bear! DH took some photos. Sadly, some of the foster kittens are now big enough to go off for desexing and sale so I'll be losing a couple of them this week. :(
Time for me to wander off to bed (after tidying up the kitchen, putting kittens to bed etc).
GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE!!!

I don't want this thread to break!
Hi Miss Ellie
there are no such things as dumb questions.
Yes, you just start a new thread with an appropriate title and direct others there eith just by telling them or linking to it in the last post of this thread.
I'm not really sure the thread will 'break' as such, depends on the forum software, but as a figure of speech. Besides, people often see threads that are tremendously long and shy away from them becaue they simply don't know where to start.. so to encourage others to hear your stories and or join in the conversation a new thread every so often is not such a bad idea.
Justa thought though, it's up to you guys, as the main contributors to decide. I'm following this thread anyway :)

If your having trouble with your injections try EMLIA (sp), it's commonly used for kids. You can buy it from the chemist either in patch or cream form, I preferred the cream as you get more use from the tube. Just put it on 45 mins to an hour before you need to inject and cover with the plastic gauzey thing that you get with it, you can also buy more of these. I used glad wrap around my arm for the BT's.
As I had PCOS and my cycle's are all over the place, I required BT's every other day from day 9 to about day 21, then daily for 4 days. Needless to say my veins started getting very bruised and sore & the right arm gave up the ghost and wouldn't give them any blood. I also used this for the trigger injection as I have a phobia about needles.
Sorry ivfmummy I should have posted this before you had to do your trigger.

Hi again,
Well for me, i'm still on this long wait. Only four more sleeps until my BT. I am so scared that i will be jinxing myself talking about it! I have been at work this morning to keep myself busy and my mind of everyting.
Bradysmum, Hi, i am glad that you are still hanging around. You give us all so much support. Don't know what we'd do without you!
L.J, Are you working this week? When will you have your BT to find out your results? Don't you just hate this wating!!!!
Ivfmummy Yay..... only one more sleep till EPU. How are you feeling today?
Sunflower, Hi, hang in there it doesn't sound like it will be too long away now until your EPU. I have my :fingerscrossed: for you and ivfmummy.

Good Evening Everyone!
Sunflower - The injections are not fun are they? I think it's more the thought than anything else.... I had 2 BTs on Friday and Saturday to work out my estrogen levels - I have trouble with BTs... And the tears you had, they are completely normal... it is such a rollercoaster of emotions insn't it?
babybernie - Sorry to hear your news.... HUGS :hugs: May all your dreams come true next cycle!
justrace - Never heard of Emlia - that's so interesting - I will ask at the Chemist. It's good info for me as I have such trouble with BTs. The trigger was a piece of cake (for me anyway).... maybe it was just lucky! :D
Sunnyday - I'm feeling great thanks!! :smiliedance: How are you hon? When is your pg test?
Leannej - So good to hear from you! Good Luck with your next cycle!! :fingerscrossed:

Hello to everyone -
Baby Bernie (Jen) - I am so sorry your AF arrived. I was wondering how you were getting on and have been thinking of you. Its such a downer and I know there is nothing "right" to say - just that we are all here for you when you are ready;)
Hi IVF Mummy. I am due for my pregnancy BT on Sunday 14th. I am hoping I make it that far before I go crazy!!! Will be thinking of you tomorrow - try and get lots of rest tonight (as hard as it might be)
Sunflower - Good luck with your BT tomorrow. I am "willing" that oestrogen to go up for you
Leanne J - Glad your still hanging around :smiliedance:
Gravel - Just wanted to say "Hi" - been to anymore cocktail parties??
A QUESTION FOR EVERYONE??
It is now 5 days after my FET (our embie was a day 3 transfer - so now would be 8 or 9 days old??) and this morning I had a bit of spotting. It was just a small amount and brownish in colour (sorry for the squeamish) and only 1 lot - nothing else thru the day so far. I did have a BT this morning to check my Progesterone levels and was told this afternoon (afer much nail biting!!) it is up to 32 - which apparently is good/normal. Last time I started spotting on the 4th day after my ET and then continued to bleed. That time my Prog was down around 15. I'm having a pretty anxious day and everytime I go to the loo I pray I don't see anymore blood. Has this every happened to anyone at this stage? I'm not sure why it would be if my Prog levels are good?
I'm also having similar symptoms to Sunnyday & Bradysmum. A little bit of lower back pain, tinges in my lower groin area and some tightness or light period cramps (and the tender boobies of course)
Sorry if I'm rambling but I am keen to know if this has happened to anyone else?
Thanks everyone - hope you are having a good night.
Give those kittens a cuddle for me Miss Ellie

Hi Bradysmum, who do you reckon will go from BB this week, I reckon it will be Karen. Or maybe Camilla but not Krystal.
Babybernie, if you’re out there, I’m sorry to hear about your BFN. I hope you come back and join us when you are feeling better.:hugs:
Hi Sunnyday, fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: that you are feeling those symptoms! Not too many days to go now.
Sunflower, I’m glad Lake and Michelle are out of the Amazing Race but it will be a quieter show without them. I couldn’t believe when he said to Michelle last week something like “shut up b*tch” and she just took it!
Ivfmummy good luck with EPU tomorrow, make sure you tell us how it went when you are able to come back.
Sharyn, how are you going today?? Has the 2WW driven you mad yet?:hugs:
Shajake, how are you going? Haven’t heard from you for a while.
Jaderocks, thanks for answering my (dumb) questions! Everyone, it’s not my thread to do this to, what do you think? Should we make a part two?
Hi Justrace and Leanne.
L.j, I don’t know that I can be much reassurance but I have heard/read that you can get a bit of spotting and if it’s dark blood it is not so much to worry about as its old blood, whereas bright red blood is bad news. Apart from the spotting the symptoms sound like good news! And I’ll definitely be giving those kittens an extra cuddle for you. They are soooo cute, I wish I could put pictures of them up for everyone to see!
Nothing new is happening for me except DH is away until Wednesday. I miss him when he’s away but I don’t mind a bit of time to myself either. I was worried injections would have started by now and I’d have to learn to do them myself (or rather overcome my dislike of jabbing myself) but they haven’t. Hopefully my BT tomorrow will tell me when they will start but with luck it won’t be until he is back.
I’d better get myself off to bed, I’ll have to get up earlier tomorrow to go for the blood test before work. I stay up too late when DH is away!
