Lisa,
Of course! I loved Donna and Dierdre!! Dierdre was my main blood taker! And annie is so lovely at the front desk.
We have built our 2nd home at the Observatory estate which is at the back of Kingsmore. So we were living just down the road from you! We were thinking of moving to Coomera too!! My husband does a lot of work up there with a building company.
I had Dr Carey for one of the IUI's I had done. He was lovely.
Hey BEATRICE, don't worry, she does look like a boy in that photo!! Little tomboy!
Michelle
Hi Girls, had a good day today. Hubby and I were a bit nervous before we went in for the scan, but we saw the sac and a beating heart :smiliedance: and walked out all smiles. Just got home from the local markets where we had a celebratory meal. Everything is great, hope everyone is doing well, Cindy
Hi Ladies,
There certainly is a lot to catch up on...I've been a bit of a recluse the last few days...Apologies!!!
Glad to hear that all is progressing well.

Bradysmum...Hubby, myself and Jake are all well.
Fablis...Glad that the scan showed that everything was progressing as it should.
Spiril...How are you feeling?
Leanne...I'm from Melbourne and I'm seeing Dr Lyndon Hale at Melbourne ivf...
Have I forgotten anyone? I'm sorry if I have I'm just not with it at the moment.
We've got a BBQ tomorrow and I've baked a lemon tart...
I'm off to bed...
Have a great one and I'll check in again soon.

I'm new to Bub Hub, have been through IVF, have a DS as a result.
Just wanted to wish you all the very best with your treatments, pregnancies, deliveries, sleepless nights etc.
The best part for me besides the positive blood test and the safe delivery of our DS was seeing that tiny little iddy biddy embryo before the dr transferred it into me and then once done thinking this is the closest I've ever come to being pregnant, bursting out crying and when back up on my feet nearly hugging my dr to death for what he had done for us.
oh and the other best part was when we were told we were pregnant was rushing out to a chemist shop and peeing on that damn strip (which for years had me in tears for being negative) and finally seeing the double blue lines appear.
Enjoy it's worth every minute of it even all the nasty needles.

HI mum2jo : Well , I certainly understand why Bradysmum is your best friend :D ... She is lovely and she is helping us a lot with our up and downs ...;) Look after yourselves ...
Shajake : It' coming soon now , just tomorrow to go ... yeah ... how was your lemon tart ? did you save a tiny bit for us ? I have lost couple of kilos as well ( 14 kilos ) but I make sure that I have my sweet everyday !!! Diet and frustration don't get along very well with me :D
Hope everyone is having a great HOT AUTUMN day !!! ( 34 in Melbourne ! ).
Take care.

hi everyone!
well I have missed so much chatting I dont know if I can catch up????
I have been getting lots of abonmial pain recently, and the last few days it has been all on the left hand side......which made me have a little freak out alst night that I might have an ectopic.........Im sure that I would have bleeding if that was the case? should I be concerned at all?
any advice would be really greatly appreciated
thanks ladies
love spiral
xo
Morning girls!!
Welcome Mum2jo and Butterflykisses and thank you for your support!! Hope you'll hang around for a while.
Cindy, I am sooooo over the moon for you!! You must feel relieved now after seeing your little bubba's heart beating away ..... :yelclap:
Beatrice, only 3 sleeps to go. How are you feeling??
Shajake, I LOVE LEMON TART and I have to say that I make a pretty mean one myself. I think I'll have to go home and make it now!! :chef:
Spiral, I wouldn't panic too much about the pain in one side. As far as I know it is quite normal to feel pain from the cyst which forms on the ovary and produces and releases Progesterone to sustain the pregnancy in the early weeks. My friend who is 22 weeks pregnant suffered with really bad pain on one side in the early stages and I have had mild one sided pain on and off too. Hope you are trying to relax and take it easy!!
Michelle, how did you survive the weather on the coast over the weekend? It actually suited me just fine! I was more than happy to lay on the lounge room floor with loads of pillows and blankets and watch the rain trickle down the windows!! :D
Bradysmum, how are you? How is your little man??
Have a great day everyone.

Thank you Beatrice, Fablis and Bradysmum for your welcome and well wishes.
I'm still reading all of your stories and trying to remember who is who here. It is so sad to think that there are so many devoted couples who are going through so much to have a baby.
I remember when we were having trouble TTC my brother & his wife were a bit afraid to tell us they were expecting baby #3 because they knew what we were going through TTC.
I told him down the track when we were discussing it that I have never ever begrudged anyone for being able to have a baby just because I was having so much difficulty. Him and his wife would only have to look at each other and they would fall pregnant - lucky hey.
I would get sad a lot of the time whenever I went into a shop that had babies clothes, or someone walked passed pushing a pram, or I heard a baby cry, or was visiting a friend in hospital who had just given birth, but I've never been bitter about it.
I prayed alot about it and thought that if we were meant to be parents then it would happen for us. IVF was our only option and I said to my DH that we'd give it a go and if it didn't work then I would just have to accept the fact that that is what life has dealt us.
We would dearly love to have another but I'm getting a bit old for it and the likelihood of it being successful has lowered plus the chances of us having a healthy baby again is getting less and less in the percentage stakes so we count our blessings everyday that we have our little angel.
Bradysmum congratulations on your little miracle too. Aren't they such precious little souls. Do you keep looking at him and thinking "I just can't believe he's here and that he's all ours"? We still do.
Beatrice I wish you well for your blood tests. It's a very nerve wrecking time for you but I'm sure everything will be ok.
Cindy glad everything is ok for you too. Isn't it just the most amazing thing to see that tiny little hearting beating away so fast. I remember when I had my first scan at 7 weeks DS HB was 178per min. I was so amazed and blown away by it and wondering "I wonder if it's beating too fast - is it going to wear itself out". Such precious moments for you and your DH.
Fablis wow twins - CONGRATULATIONS - you and DH must be just so excited. You have been through so much by the looks of your "signature" and now you will have 2 darling little people to love very soon. Double the joy :smiliedance:
Shajake mmmmm lemon tart sounds delicious. Hope everyone enjoyed it - it's really making my mouth water.
I've still got heaps of reading about all of you ladies so I'll post again as I'd like to get to know all of you and your various stories so I'll be back.
I hope you all have a nice day.

Butterflykisses, you are to sweet!!! I cry at least once a day when i look at my son!! When i was told we were pregnant it didnt actually hit me that it had worked, i didnt cry alot when i found out, i think i was to shocked that we were actually going to have a baby. When i gave birth to him all the tears just came out, my hsband and i would look at him in the hospital, look at eachother and then bawl, it was cute!! On New Years eve we were at my mums and at 12:00 we went into my brothers room where Brady was sleeping and sat with him and i cried my eyes out at midnight! The New Year before i had pretty much given up hope that it would ever happen!! I, like you never had a problem with other people being pregnant, my best friend got pregnant while we were doing IVF and i was rapt for her, her liitle one was my little surrogate baby,ha,ha!! It was harder for my husband though, he felt so down sometimes and blamed himself. Thanx for sharing your story with us!! Hope to hear from you soon!!:p
Spiral, those cramps are pretty normal, i had them too! When is your scan, how exciting!!!!I cant wait till you have it!!:smiliedance:
Fablis, glad to hear that you and your babies are well!!! Brady is fine, he turned 3 months old on Sat, he is growing to fast!!!:smiliedance:
Beatrice, hope you had a great weekend! Only 3 more sleeps!!
Hope everyone has a great day!!!!

Hi girls!!
Ive been reading all the posts and trying to get to know what is happening so i hope i get things right!
Spiralgirl, I had the same pains your getting when i was just a few weeks pregnant. They actually had me in tears and bending over in pain. I went for an ultra sound cause i was so scared but everything was fine. The doc said it is very normal to have pains like that. Still, it is so scary! Dont worry, everything will be fine and you will be holding your beautiful baby before you know it! Congratulations on your pregnancy!!
Fablis. congratulations to you 2!! TWINS WOW, double the love double the fun as they say!!!!! That is great news.
Beatrice, you dont have long to wait now. I pray everything works out for you!
Cindy, congratulations to u 2!!!!
I will check in later,bye for now!!:p :p

Mum2jo: thanks for your kinds words . It's true that if you don't read the thread everyday , you're a bit lost !!! :)
Sipral : Do you think it might be possible to ask for an ultra sound if you are scared ? Hope things settle for you and your little one .
Fablis and Cindy : how are your "little ones " going ? Are you feeling ok ?
Butterflykisses : I like this name !!! a big hug to your little angel and thank you so much for sharing your story .
Kassa , Michelle, Bradysmum : hope everything is alright ... Big kisses to your children ...
Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd pop in and say hello to everyone.
Firstly a big welcome and hugs:hugs: to mum2jo and Butterflykisses...Welcome to the thread, and all the ladies in here are just wonderful.
Fablis...How are you doing?
Beatrice...3 days to go, how exciting!!! Hang in there...
Spiral...Cramping is quite normal however if you are at all concerned then call you doctor for reassurance...My doctor frequently told me off for not calling often enough...
Bradysmum...How was your weekend? How is Brady doing?
Cindy...How are you today?
The lemon tart was really yummy but I think I was a bit too preoccupied and took it out of the oven a little too early, and it didn't end up setting in the middle...So to cut a long story short I ended up at the cheese cake shop and bought a lemon merangue...Not a happy camper I was!!! So hubby and I are enjoying it...
Jake is at home sick today so need to take the day off work tommorrow too damn!!!
I hope that all is well with everyone and I will check in again after my appointment this afternoon...
Have a great afternoon.

Hi girls!
Beatrice, good luck this week! The twins and i are sending positive vibes your way!!
Lisa, yeah the rain and wind was wild! I love that kind of weather. While I was pregnant we had a day like that and my husband had gone to do a first aid course, so I lay on the lounge and watched 3 dvds. It turned out to be the week before I had the twins, so I'm glad I was well rested!!
Spiral, I'm no doctor but I doubt it could be ectopic. They've actually deposited your little emby in your uterus, so it would have to swim back up your tubes to be ectopic. I think! You will get all sorts of niggly pains from now on!
Oops, baby awake. Hi to all the girls,
Michelle

Beatrice, not long to go now!!:fingerscrossed: How is your hubby coping with the waiting?
Hope to hear from you all soon!!:p

Hi Ladies ...
How did you go Shajake ??? Hope everything went well ...
Thanks Michelle for sending your positives vibes ...
Thanks Bradysmum : My husband is OK as he's working a lot ... he JUST has to cope with my swinging moods .. :crying: /:D !!!It's hard to be in this " waiting period " but I promise I won't do another urine test ...:p ( not that I don't want to !!! ) . My husband said that I have been very naughty doing it ( with a BIG LAUGH ) but he knew that YOU Girls would have put me back into the right track ... see how much he trust the team  ...
I have a question for those who had the hyperstimulation and did not get pregnant straight after it : how long did you have to wait for your period to come back ? I actually passed the date I should have had my period but I don't know if my natural cycle should be all over the place with the stimulation cycle ... any ideas ?
I feel like a sharp pain in my low abdomen but it's not period pain ...
It's hard because every pain or little " something different " is the unknown !!! and I'm in the " what if " thinking ...
As you said , just few days to go ...
Hope you are all well .
I forgot to ask how Leanne is doing ...

Beatrice, i got my period 9-10 days after all the transfers that never worked! Thats how i new. I never made it to the blood test except for when i was pregnant with Brady!
Hi girls, another hot day over here today. It's our labour day long weekend so hubby and I took the dog to the beach this morning then did a few small jobs around the house. Took it easy in the afternooon, airconditioner was a life saver.
Spiralgirl I agree with Noah&layla'smum, I doubt it would be ectopic after IVF. I'm still getting some pains all over the place, must be uterus stretching and also ovaries haven't gone back to normal size after OHSS.
Beatrice stay strong and don't do that HPT only two days to go now isn't it, good luck. :fingerscrossed:
Fablis I still get a big smile everytime I think of your two little ones. :)
Shajake hope you and hubby had a good day today.

Hey Everyone, gee it is hard to catch up when you miss a few days!!
Bradysmum, thanx for the tip about monitoring ovulation. I'm waiting for it right now so they can check my progesterone levels and to make sure I am actually ovulating, I'm up to day 21 already. I wish it would hurry up so I can start IUI next cycle! How frustrating it took so long for you, when the problem was so simple!! at least next time hopefully you'll have it all under control!:D
Cindy, Fablis and Spiralgirl Hope all your babies are going well!!
Beatrice I still have everything crossed for you :fingerscrossed:
Welcome Mum2jo and butterflykisses, these girls are legends!! you'll enjoy chatting to them.
Michelle thanx for the info!!

Hope everyone is ok!!!:D
Morning everyone!! Will just be a quick post this morning because I am really busy at work. I am struggling to keep up when I am feeling sooo sick and tired!! I am trying desperately to see through the sickness and remember what it is all for :D (Hubby reminded me last night when I was feeling very sorry for myself).
Hope everyone is having a good day and will catch up with everything as soon as I can (maybe this afternoon).
Lisa

Afternoon Girls.
How is everyone today?
Well Jake is still sick today so I took the day off work to stay at home with him. Here's hoping we get a good night sleep tonight.
Fablis...The morning sickness will hopefully subside once you pass the first trimester. Although mine lasted till I was 18 weeks.
Beatrice...Not long to go now, hang in there.
Sunflower...good luck with starting your treatment.
Bradysmum...It's awesome when they start to do things like rolling and crawling...Enjoy this time because once he walks there'll be no stopping him
Cindy, Spiral, noah&laylas mum, butterfly kisses, leanne, Michelle and Mum2jo :hugs: to all of you and I hope you're all doing well...Have I forgotten anyone?
Well we saw our specialist yesterday and were told what I already knew. It's onto IVF/ICSI for us if we want another baby/babies...I think DH was more shocked at the cost than I was as I had already done heaps of research and sort of knew give or take what we would be up for...Now I think his panic button has hit...
How did you guys come up with the money upfront or did you work out a payment plan?
We are due to see nurses, counsellors, acc dept and specialist next tuesday(14/3) and any feedback you have or questions we should ask would be great.
I think we're both keen to start this next phase in our lives the only thing that may hold us back is the financial side...
It's all rather overwhelming isn't it?
I look forward to chatting some more with you all soon.

Hi girls,
Shajake, when we did IVF we just borrowed $5000. We paid the big $2000 up front and got a lot back from Medicare. Whatever we got back from Medicare seemed to pay the next stage and so on. Medicare nearly paid for my whole pregnancy, since we were over the safety net threshold thing as soon as we started! All up I think we were only out of pocket $2000. Pretty good, as I'd heard it can cost up to $10 000. We are on the Gold Coast though, so don't know what the prices are like anywhere else.
Bradysmum, sorry to be so personal, but are you thinking of having another child soon? I know if we had have had one baby instead of the twins, we were going to have another baby quite quickly. Don't answer if I'm being rude!!! I know Brady's only 3mths, so the thought probably hasn't even entered your head yet!! Also, you're quite welcome to pinch my babies cheeks, but be warned, they're at the stage where they'll probably pinch your cheeks back!!!
Cindy, glad everything is cooking great! Are you finding out what you're having?
Hope all you other girls are having a great day!
Michelle
Hi Noah&layla'smum I always thought when I finally got pregnant I'd want to keep the babys sex a surprise, but at the moment I really want to know. Hubby doesn't really want to know and I told him I'd keep it a secret but we both know I'd stuff up at some point and call the little one him or her. We are having an amnio at 15 or 16 weeks because of my age (37) :o so we've got a few weeks to make up our mind.

Shajake, it is a bit of a shock to the system when they tell you the prices of IVF. I was lucky enough to have had some money put away and the rest we borrowed from my parents and paid them back. The nurses will explain absolutley everything to you and you will be told all about the costs. The counsellors are great. They were a lifesaver for me!!! I know it is so overwhelming and it is hard to remember everything they tell you. Hope Jake is better and you get a good night sleep!!! Take care!!:hugs:
Noah&laylasmum, you are not rude at all!!!! I would love to try for another baby but i just wanna enjoy Brady right now and spoil him rotten:smiliedance: . Maybe next year, who knows??? Noah and Layla can pinch my cheeks anytime!!
Cindy, you are like me, i just had to know what sex the baby was, although deep down i knew he was boy! On the ultra sound you could actually see his little penis, too damn cute!!!:D
Fablis, hope you rest up tonight!! The sickness will stop eventually, my nausea stopped at 12 weeks! Take care!!
Beatrice, 2 more sleeps!!!xoxoxoxo Your hubby sounds like a smart man!

Hello Girls ...
YES , 2 sleeps to go ... I'm working quiet a lot which is good ... and I DID NOT do another test like I said I was going to do :shame: , . Wait and see ... Thanks for your support everyone ...
Shajake : I think it is expensive to go through IVF . I do not have private insurance but I got a bit back from Medicare . At the moment ( after stimulation cycle , medication , transfer at hospital , ICSI ) , we reach around 3000$ ... We paid the lot but I heard that they can do arrangements for you ...
I personally found the hole process of IVF very easy to FOLLOW , and English not being my first language , I was very scared ... The nurses and staff are fantastic . If you have a problem , you can call them or write them e-mail and they respond really quickly ... I just have to follow the instructions they were given me .. and believe me , I'm a stressed person who likes everything to be organized :detective: ... This thread has actually helped me a lot to answer all this little questions that are bothering you , and you don't really want to annoy the IVF staff with !!! The appointments will come really quickly now ... good luck , hope your little man is feeling better ... a big hug to him ...
Cindy : must be soooooo exciting to get to that stage where you have to decide if you want to know if it's a boy or a girl !!! let us know about the decision .. we want to know as well !!!
Sunflower : can't wait now to start the cycle .... good luck and let us know how you are going ....
Fablis : I'm sending you lots of thoughtful vibes ... and I hope you are getting enough rest ...
A big hug to the rest of the team : Spiralgirl , Bradysmum , Kassa , Michelle , Leanne, Mum2jo , Butterflykisses ...
I've counted ... we are 12 Ladies on this thread ... and a big welcome to who ever wants to join us ...

Hey Everyone
Well I think I ovulating today so in 7days I have to get a blood test, I still have to get my ultrasound and then the Dr said I can ring the IVF clinic to organise the IUI..This waiting around is hard I just want everything to be happening now!!
Shajake Glad to see things are moving along good luck for your treatment also :fingerscrossed:
Beatrice only 1 sleep to go! how exciting big hugs for you :hugs: whatever the result, but of course it's going to be a BFP coz' this is the lucky thread after all!!!:p
I hope all the mummy's and mummy's to be have a fantastic wednesday!!!
Hi Ladies,
Hope all is going well.
sunflower- I know the waiting is the worst part of TTC. I hope the next 7 days fly for you.
Beatrice- One more sleept to go. I hope you feel well and wish you all the best and I have my :fingerscrossed: for you.
Fablis- morning sickness is just yucky, I hope you feel better soon.
Shajake - The IVF cost are scary, we had to also add two pesa operations for DH (sperm extracted from Testie) and our out of pocket cost came to about $7,500. The outlay was very scary as it was about $12,000. We were lucky we just sold our house and had to take it out of our equity.
cindyc - I havent' found out the sex of bub, but I do change my mind all the time and I know my OB knows. I am trying to be good, but it is hard not knowing. Let us know if you find out.
Well I better get back to work. Hope hope the all the other lovely ladies on this thread are going well.
take Care.

Hello everyone
I am new to the site so I hope it is OK to join you. I found this site a few days ago and have been enjoying this thread, as well as feeling so amazed and happy that I have found people who know what I am feeling!!
I won't write too much but after a vasectomy reversal my husband and I have been TTC for about 18 months. As they could see that his swimmers had no motility (if that is the correct term, they couldn't swim!) we were sent straight to IVF (also because we are on the older side, I'm now 38 he's 40). So we had our first cycle in April/May last year and I got OHSS so the doctor said we should wait to do our first transfer. We got 16 eggs, 11 were fertilised - my husband's first words on hearing that were "great, a cricket team"!
Our first FET cycle was in October last year, unsuccessful - I blame stress at work - and we decided to wait until after the stress of Christmas for the next one. January - a positive result! But two days later "things aren't looking good". Two days later we were told we'd suffered an "early pregnancy loss". A miscarriage I guess.
I have just had another FET cycle and so far the result is positive but I am only just past the stage where I was told things weren't looking good last time so I don't dare to actually think I might be pregnant. I have another blood test on Friday so I am so eager to get to it (for confirmation that all is well) and so scared (in case it isn't).
Add to that my husband is in the US until Friday week and my foster kittens went back to the RSPCA to be sold on Monday (we are volunteers and foster them until they are old enough to be desexed - ironically) and I am feeling sad and lonely (I still have my own five furry babies though). So it is great to find this site!
Hope this hasn't been too long! :)
Welcome Miss Ellie,
Thank you all for your replies...Hmmm not an easy thing to come up with...Anyway we'll wait and see what happens.
Beatrice...:fingerscrossed: Good luck for tomorrow, please let us know how it went.
Fablis...How are you feeling today? I found that drinking water with fresh lemon juice in it helped me with my nausea...
How is everyone else doing?

Hello everyone.
Thanks for your support Ladies ... yes , just one sleep to go ... I'm feeling good and thinking positive ... I haven't got any funny symptoms ( except a low back pain and sore nipples ??? ).
This day at work as been the longest one :banghead: , watching at the clock every minutes .. driving me insane ... Well , you will all know about it in few hours !!!
First , a BIG WELCOME to Miss Ellie . You have been through lots of things and I'm sure you will get help and support on this thread . We will all be thinking of you Friday ...
sunflower: talking about waiting !! don't tell me about it ... I think that is what is bothering me the most in the hole IVF process : to wait for everything : the appointments , your period , the start of the treatment , the result ... one thing : you have to be VERY patient in this type of treatment ... that's what they need to mention first when you start !!! Keep us posted ...
Leannej : next week is the start of a busy schedule ... good luck.
Hope everyone is traveling ok : all the beautiful Mumies , amazing Mumies to be and the wonderful and brave Ladies who are on there way to be ...:D

Morning girls!! Sorry I have been absent for a couple of days. I had yesterday off to rest and feel a lot better today. I have just organised with my work to cut back to four days a week and to finish early on two other days. What a relief!! I feel much better just knowing that I don't have to work 8:30 to 5 and then go home and keep up with everything there as well.
Firstly, welcome to Miss Ellie and congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm sure everything will be just fine for you this time around, although I can understand your uncertainty. I am nearly 9 weeks pregnant and have seen my babies with their beating hearts twice but still I have a very pessimistic attitude. I can't help it with my history, I simply EXPECT that something will go wrong. But fingers crossed :fingerscrossed:
Beatrice, I have been thinking about you for days. Hopefully by now you have had your blood test and are awaiting the results. I have everything crossed for you and can't wait to hear from you. Big hugs :hugs:
Spiral, Cindy, Bradysmum, Shajake, Michelle, Sunflower, Leanne, Kerri, Butterflykisses and Mum2jo (WOW this thread is getting bigger!) - hope you all have a lovely day. Lets all send out positive vibes to Beatrice today!!

Hi everyone
well I had a crappy day yesterday, I went to town to visit the art gallery, did a bit too much, was totally exhausted, and to top it all off, had some spotting that freaked me out! It wasnt very bright, or heavy, but heavier than last time, and just so out of the blue......I resisited the urge to call my Dr in a panic, and it seems to be gone for now, but if it happens again I will be making a call........I am also just feeling generally crappy - heart palipatations, dizzyness and very tired and weak feeling...I dont like it at all.......I just hope little sprout is all fine in there! :)
there have been so many comments over the past few days that I will just say HI to everyone!!!!!
beatrice - waiting patiently to hear the result - FINGERS CROSSED!!!!! Come on lucky thread!!!
shajake - we had a bit of money saved up, but mainly put everything on the credit card, waited for money to be refunded from medicare and the rest we covered with our savings.......we were just lucky to concieve in the first cycle because really, we couldnt afford another cycle right now........
Miss Ellie - Hi, welcome and good luck!!! And I am so impressed with people that look after animals for the RSPCA, must be so hard to give them back!

Hey girls!
Beatrice, Good Luck!! We're nervously waiting along with you!
Lisa, glad that you've cut back your hours at work. I'm a hairdresser and I decided to cut back at 8wks, but I was booked out for 6wks ahead so it was more like 14wks before I was doing less hours! But what a relief when I did.
Welcome to miss ellie, and hope all you lovely girls are having a great day. Hopefully Beatrice will have the best day ever!!

Thank you all so much for your kind welcomes!
Fablis, belated congratulations on your two little miracles! I had two blastocysts transferred so I have a sneaking hope that I will have two as well so best of luck to you and great going on getting your work hours reduced. And congratulations to everyone else on this thread who is "expecting" (such an old fashioned expression!)
Spiralgirl, it is hard to give the kittens back but I know that they will go to good homes so I just try to remember that. I always consider keeping at least one but having five already I'd end up with too many cats before very long at all. I picked up another litter of five kittens today and they are only a week old. Their mother is with us too so she will look after them for the next few weeks, I just have to look after her. Sorry! Getting waaaay off topic. I'm glad you're feeling better.
Beatrice... what can I say?? How cruel of that computer to break down. I have never even thought something like that could happen, I'm always hanging on the edge of my seat at work with the jitters waiting to ring at 2pm when they give out the results so I can't imagine how you must be feeling. I feel stressed for you too. Fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: .
As you can see I have a bad habit of letting fingers run away on keyboard so I will stop now and go and find a photo on my other computer to load up for my avatar. One of my furry babies will be there soon I hope!
Lovely to meet you all, talk soon.

Hi Ladies ...
A BIG , HUGE , ENORMOUS THANK YOU to all of you for your support . You have been so sweet and generous ... I'm very touched by your posts ...
When my DH and I are looking at each other tonight , we just had a big smile on our faces :D .
The nurse could not talk to me tonight as I could not believe the news . She will call me back tomorrow  .. from I remember her telling me , my HCG level was 426 ( which apparently is good ) and I'm having a scan in 2 weeks and a half .
The only signs of "early pregnancy " that I have been having for the last few days are sore nipples , back pain and I was feeling very badly that like I was going to have my period (I was actually 5 days late ).
What I can say now , it's very hard to trust the hole process of IVF and to believe in yourself ... those 2 weeks are terrible because you are potentially pregnant but you go through those ideas 1000 times a day : I'm not pregnant / I am .. how can you be so sure and trust the system ... it's a killer ... I lost faith couple of times specially when I did this stupid urine test ... PLEASE GIRLS , DON'T DO A PT BEFORE YOU ARE DUE !!!! ... this is an advise from someone who was devastated that day ...
I managed to call my brothers ( who were in the middle of meetings and they had a big cry on the phone pooor things !!! ). I talked to my Mum on the webcam : I woke her up early in the morning and asked her to jump on the webcam ... she knew something was going on !!! ...I'm still trying to contact my dad who's somewhere in Europe ...
Thanks Sweerpea20977 and Em's&callansmum for you support and for looking after us ...:)
We have some beautiful Ladies who are very close of having there appointment or on the way ... we are all with you and thinking about you.
As Michelle says : who's next ???
Have a lovely night ... and thank you again .
WOW - BEATRICE - YOU'RE PREGNANT!! :hugs:
Congratulations, I am so very very very very very happy for you and your DH. I am amazed at how truly blessed the women on the thread have been.
Your HCG level sounds very good - definitely within the healthy range!! :D
I didn't want to tell you just in case I was wrong but when you said that you had sore nipples, a sore back and felt like your period was coming, I had a very good feeling that you were pregnant, because those are the symptoms that I was experiencing!!
Beatrice, I wish you a very happy and healthy pregnancy - all your dreams are coming true. :smiliedance:

Hello everyone ...
Thank you very much Fablis . You know what , I went back couples of pages behind on the thread and I remember very well you tell us about this sore back and I said to myself WHY NOT ??? but then I said : Oh , I probably twisted by back somewhere !!!
Well, I did not sleep all night :D , toooo excited ... I called my Mum back at 1:00 in the morning ... wanted to chat !!!:ecomcity: . I'm feeling really well and still very much on my planet !!! My Dad called me back this morning from Israel and of course he had the feeling that something was going on ... I can't wait for him to go back home so I can see Mum and Dad again on the webcam !! Fantastic those little things now ...
Bradysmum : when you went to do your scan ( 2 weeks later ) , where did you go ? Are they able do tape or to burn on CD what you see because I'm not sure that my DH will Be around that day ...
Have a lovely day Ladies ... talk to you later ...

Hi all
I am hesitant to put bad news on this wonderful positive thread but with my husband overseas I don't really have anyone else to tell.
You may remember I said I had a positive last Saturday and another good blood test on Monday but I was scared because of my loss last cycle after a positive.
Yep you guessed it today's test is not looking good. They are pretty sure I am having what they call an "early pregnancy loss". It could be a blip but... a blood test on Sunday will confirm.
Please don't let this bring anyone down, I am still so happy for all who are successful, and wish all the best for those (like me) that are continuing in the struggle.
Have a great rest of your Friday and a fabulous weekend everyone. I may go into a cocoon again (I did last time) and not feel like communicating for a couple of days.

First of all , just want to send a huge hug to Miss Ellie - you must be heartbroken.....all our love to you!!:hugs:
I called my Dr today after palipitations last night and this morning - she said that it is very very common to have this during pregnancy adn she isnt at all concerned...so that was a great weight off my mind.......she was more interested in the bleed i had the other day, but after I described it, and told her i havent beld since - she said not to worry about it, So I am really glad I called her! :)

Hi Miss Ellie, I'm very sorry. I hope your blood test on Sunday is a good one. :hugs: I am truly lucky that IVF has worked for me the first time and feel for anyone who has to go through the constant emotions, frustrations and ups and downs. If it doesn't work out for you this time, I really hope you have some success soon. I'm sure everyone understands if you want to go into hibernation I think I'd be like that too. Take care of yourself, Cindy
HI
Congrats on the baby, I have just found out am pregnant and my scan is in 3 weeks and like you looking forward to it. my EED is 15/11/06
Spiral you make me laugh. My hubby is a vegie but sometimes when I make a really nice roast or something he says that looks really yummy and if I wasn't vegetarian I'd give it a go. Although I have to say he hates the smell of KFC and makes me put it in the boot on the drive home. haha

Hi Dawn, Congratulations :smiliedance: which clinic did you go through?
Hi again everyone!!
Miss Ellie, my heart goes out to you :hugs: But its not quite over yet, is it?? Please try and remain positive for some better results on Sunday. I know that is easier said than done and believe me I know, I have been there many times myself. I will be thinking of you and praying for your little bubba to stay put.
Bradysmum, yes I had my KFC burger and chips and I do feel marginally better but it probably won't last long!! I am now ready for my afternoon nap
Congratulations and welcome Dawn!!
Spiral, how exciting about your scan next Wednesday. I am having my third scan on that day too! I will be 9.2 weeks so hopefully my bubbas have grown (they should be about 2.5-3cm!). I can't wait for you to see your little bubba on the screen, it is a wonderful experience. I was absolutely overwhelmed by emotion and couldn't stop crying. My doctor pretended to reprimand me and told me he simply couldn't continue with the scan if I didn't stop shaking and crying soo much!! I forgot to mention to you that I have also been having occasional heart palpitations. When it happens my heart feels like it is literally thumping outside of my chest.
Hi to everyone else!! :)
If I don't get back again before the end of the day, hope everyone has a lovely weekend!! I cannot wait to sleep in tomorrow morning!!

But before i knew i was preg i craved tuna, and I thought " where the hell did that come from????" and then the other day I was sitting in town and a girl sat next to me and ate a big mac and I was sitting there going " aww yummmm" and then I was going " what is that all about, it has to be some crazy craving, because that isnt even really food at all!!?"
Im not going to give in to the craving though, Im very devoted and passionate about vegetarianism!!

oops, my comp jammed and then sent the message twice...Sorry.
Bradysmum...Jake is much better thank you...He slept in till just after 10 this morning...He must have been tired...
Beatrice...I know and I hope you're right, it's been ages...
Fablis...Enjoy the sleep in
For those of you who have cravings and who of us doesn't. My ob said that the cravings we get during pregnancy indicate a lack of something in our diet..Find out what it is and replace it and the craving should disappear.
I can hear Jake so I better go.
Speak to you all again soon.
Shajake, I agree that what your OB told you is probably correct.
I have always been a very healthy eater, having cereal and bran for breakfast, two pieces of fruit for morning tea, a salad sandwich and yoghurt for lunch, and then a serving of meat with either salad or vegetables for dinner BUT since I have been pregnant I found that eating just the healthy food does not satisfy my hunger or take away the queasy feeling. I am still eating all the healthy stuff but I have just added a few things here and there (such as KFC Chips).
I also never used to eat when I got home from work, I would always wait for dinner at about 7pm, but now when I get home from work I am starving again and usually have two pieces of toast with butter and vegemite. Now that goes down a treat!! AND then I have dinner a bit later.
To tell you the truth I am both mystified and disgusted at my eating habit over the last few weeks. I truly cannot believe how much I am eating!! Oh well, I guess my body must be needing it.
Sorry girls I was jabbering on there. Have a great weekend and I'll catch you Monday!! :D

DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES ????
My freinds .... I'M PREGNANT ....
I could not talk on the phone with the nurse, I had no voice ... I got the result at 19:00 ....
I called my Mum on the phone and I told her she was going to be a Grandmother with the webcam .. a dream come true .... My Dad is away but I will find him ... I'm going to call my brothers now ....
Can you believe it ???? I CAN'T !!!!!!
I'm lost ... I'm allover the place !!!
My husband was with me when the nurse called ... just a dream come true ...
I'll get back to you later .... A BIG , BIG THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT ...
THE LUCKY THREAD IS REAL ... LOVE YOU ALL ....
CONGRATULATIONS:smiliedance: :yelclap: Beatrice I've only just read your post. That's the best news I've heard all day. No need to ask because I'm sure you are already over the moon and have been since you found out.
I remember the day the nurse phoned me with the news. I was sitting at my desk at work and just cried and cried. She told me the baby was the size of a grain of rice. On the way home I was flipping through a woman's mag and I just couldn't believe my eyes. There was an ad staring at me in the face for baby rice and it had a magnifying glass looking at the grains of rice and each rice grain had a real little babies face on it. How was that for a good sign!!!!:smiliedance:
Looking forward to reading your updates.

Hi Beatrice, Fablis, Spiralgirl, Brady'smum, Cindy, LeanneJ, Shajake, Sunflower, Butterflykisses, Mum2jo, Noah&Laylasmum, Kassa, Dawn, and everyone else (if I've missed anyone)... (whew!!! what a lot of us there are here!)
Thank you so much to all of you with your wishes and your finger-crossings. Unfortunately today's blood test confirmed that I have lost the pregnancy, and even more bad news, I have no more embryos left. I had 12 eggs fertilised after my IVF cycle, and have had three transfers of two each time (the rest didn't make it through the thawing process).
My DH comes home Friday and we will have to decide if we want to try another IVF cycle. I dread it because I got OHSS and felt really really sick for weeks afterwards, plus the drugs made me vague and stupid at work and everyone noticed that there was somethiing wrong with me.
Another problem that we might have is that because our problems come from my DH having had a vasectomy (which was reversed so we could get pregnant) we have been warned that he may stop producing sperm. So it is possible that it might not be possible at all to have another cycle.
Sorry, I am such a wet blanket on this happy thread.
Huge congratulations to all of you who are pregnant. I hope you are all doing well and not suffering too much from sickness, cravings etc!
I'm going to wallow now in reading and eating chocolate.
I'll be watching this thread to see how you are all going so even if you don't see me know that I am here, watching and wishing all of you all the best.
Good luck!
Oh one more thing, I've really enjoyed your cyber company and I don't intend to disappear, I might just hide for a while. I'll be back later...
Before I hit the post button, my DH just rang from the USA (I texted him the news) it was so good to speak to him, I almost feel a little bit happier.
Bye for now! :crying: But hugs :hugs: to you all:thumbsup:

Evening Ladies,
Miss Ellie...I'm so sorry to hear about your day...I know it must be hard when something like this happens but try and hang in there...Use your network of support and let yourself feel the emotions as they happen...Bottling them up will only make you feel worse...
Beatrice...How are you feeling?
Fablis...How was your weekend? Did you manage to get that sleep in you were craving?
Leanne...I'm from Bulleen so going to Melbourne IVF...Where are you from? It is nice to know that there is someone else here who is at about the same stage as me...I do plan to let all know what's going on whatever decision we take...Let's be strong and help one another through it...You can always PM me if you want to discuss something offline...
Bradysmum...Thanks for the support, I know I'm going to need it. How did you guys cope at the kitchen tea and christening?
To all the other wonderful ladies in this thread, how was your weekend?
Jake was sick earlier in the week and I think I've picked up what he had so I have a sore throat runny nose etc...Fun fun fun!!!
We had a relatively busy weekend. Saturday we went mattrass shopping for Jake...We bought a mattrass, and mattrass protector and a pillow for Jake's new bed...
Today we spent the day at my in laws in the pool and even managed to dash out to Malvern Central - Target (while he was sleeping)to buy some linen for Jake, the Thomas Linen is so cute. He's not keen on going into a bed so hopefully the thomas stuff will entice him...
Hope to talk to you all really soon.
Take care.
HI all
Shajake it sounds like you had a very busy weekend. how old is jake?
i live in cranbourne near dandenong if you know where that is. i too have had a busy weekend we have been grouting the tiles in our newly renovated bathroom, and its nearly finished ( woo hoo) it has taken a long time as we have been doing it all our selves.
what have you got planned for tomorrow does your DH have the day off?

Hi Shajake, the kitchen tea was awful. It was way too hot, although i must say Brady was very well behaved and didnt cry once. Just sat on my lap and gave everyone who came up to him a cute smile!!! We left early, but i didnt end up going to the christening, by the time we got home he was getting niggly, hot and bothered and needed to have a nap as he didnt have one at all there, so my hubby went (it was his cousins daughters christening) on behalf of us!! You were lucky to be by a pool!!! Oh how cute Thomas the tank engine bed sheets!! Way too cute i say!!! Let us know how he goes in his bed!! How old is Jake by the way? Take care Sharon, have a nice long weekend!!!xoxox
Leanne...I don't envy you having to renovate yourself...My DH is not fairly handy so I would end up having to do it all myself. Yes he has the day off and Jake and I have playgroup at 10.30...So DH is going to go and buy a couple of things, then we'll meet at home at lunchtime, have some lunch put Jake to bed and then chill out together...First time in months that we have been able to do this...I'm sure that we find something else to do instead of sitting and putting our feet up...
Oh and I do know where Cranbourne is...
Bradysmum...Good excuse having a child because we can leave early or not go to something and get out of it by saying we have to get our kids to bed. We have airconditioning but we are lucky that my in laws have a pool.
Jake will be 3 in May.
Hi bradysmum: glad to hear your kitchen tea wasnt that bad. i was just wondering where abouts in your menstural cycle did you start you ivf cyle for the first time. did you have to wait till you got you period or after it finished.
Shajake: my DP is a little bit handy, but if it wasnt for his dads help we wouldnt of been able to do it.

Hi Leanne, i just grabbed my 2004 diary to answer your question. Iv'e written down that they started me on the pill on dec 26, started Synarel (nasel spray) on 16 Jan, took last pill on 22 jan, got period on 27 Jan. Had my appointment with specialist on 29 Jan and started taking my needles that night. Had a scan on 3 Feb another one on 7 feb, and another one on 11 Feb and had my trigger needle on 15 Feb. Then OPU on 17 Feb and transfer on 19 Feb. That was my first IVF cycle! Thats pretty much how they are at the beginning. From what i can remember they give you the pill to manipulate your cycle so you get a period so they can do the treatment and they know exactly what stage your body is at. Its amazing how the treatment and drugs they give you can manipulate your body like that, lucky for us IVF'ers though right?? I hoped that helped a bit,did i ramble on too much? Thats just me though, :ecomcity: :ecomcity: :ecomcity: . LOL!!!
Im so hot right now i dont wanna go bed!!!!

Morning Girls ...
Shajake and Leanne : nearly there  . I just wanted to share with you my experience of the very beginning of IVF ( IVF Melbourne ).
I started the pill 5 days after my period : they want you to start on a " full flow " and not when you start "spotting ". I remember waiting for my period ( which was sooooooooo long for me ) and the day I had my period , I was ABSOLUTELY lost .. running around everywhere in the house . I was beside myself because I know that it was the " big start " . They asked me to ring them on that first day : they will consider this day as your DAY 1 .
6 days later , they asked me to ring them : they told me when to stop the pill and when to start the nasal spray ( twice a day for me ).
The nurse will go through the hole cycle with you and all he little details will be explained to you one after another . Don't expect to have ALL THE INFO ABOUT EVERYTHING when you will see the nurse ( that is was happened to me ) . They are doing this on purpose , otherwise , it's too overwhelming ... They give the details bits by bits ... when you'll get there ... ( which I think was a bit frustrating because I always wanted to know what was going to be next !!! ... but they cannot actually tell you because they don't know how your body is going to react ... ) .
The counselor is not here to judge you at all ; it's just a support and probably a good way to say things in front of her that you are possibly afraid of expressing in front of your DH ( that's what happened to me as my DH was reluctant to do IVF at the beginning )
I hope this will help you Girls ...:p
Bradysmum : I hope Brady is feeling better ... I thought it was HIS Christening yesterday !
I'm feeling very good Shajake . I went back to work yesterday for the first time after knowing that I was pregnant .. it was delightful !!!! I still cannot realize !! . I feel my belly getting heavier and I'm already pretty bloated !!! I hope you enjoyed your time off with your DH and big hug to your little one .
Have a lovely day Ladies .

Hi all
Thankyou bradysmum and beatrice for the insight into what i may be to come. the reason i asked if you have to wait till before or after your period is because mine is due on thurs. and thats when we see our specialist and i was wondering if he could start us there and then, if i do get it on thurs. anyway im sure i will find out sooner or later. i just dont really want to wait another month if i dont have to.
well im off to do my house work.
speak later girls.
oh and shajake only one sleep to go :yelclap:
Morning girls!!
Miss Ellie, I am so sorry that you did not have good news yesterday :crying: You and your DH do have a lot to think about now and I truly hope that you decide to give it one more shot. My thoughts are with you...
Leanne, my treatment started mid-cycle. I had a blood test on Day 21 to see if I had ovulated and then I was started on Synarel (nasal spray) to down regulate my cycle. Then when I got my period, I had a scan on Day 3 and started my shots a couple of days later. Hopefully you will be able to get started on this cycle. Good luck :D
Bradysmum, I can't believe you are having such hot weather in Melbourne. It has been lovely here on the Gold Coast except for the odd shower.
Beatrice, I'm glad that you are feeling well and your tummy is starting to feel full. I had that very full feeling and bloating early on as well. Now my tummy is starting to feel very hard and pop out just a little bit from a couple of centimetres below my belly button. I certainly can't pull it in flat anymore!!
Shajake, good luck tomorrow. Hopefully you will get started soon as well!! And yes I certainly did have my lovely sleep in on the weekend.
Spiral, how are you going? Only two more sleeps until you see your little bean on the screen. You must be getting so excited!!
Michelle, I have another question for you!! How far along were you when your belly started to pop out?? I think mine is starting to already. YIPPEE!

hi everyone
Miss ellie, I am sooo sorry to hear your news and I send you the warmest wishes and we are here if you want to talk ok? hugs
well girls, only sleeps until I see my baby! I am very excited! It will start to feel real then, as I STILL dont have any morning sickness! ( it makes it all seem like maybe i am dreaming???) I am hungry all the time and tired alot,my boobs hurt, and i have quite the tummy already,(but that is all the food!!!!! ) Apart from that I am having trouble "feeling pregnant" if you know what i mean? I feel silly when i talk to my tummy....and I think it will change when i see the bub on screen!
I am so tired today, I didnt get much sleep as my STUPID neighbour decided to water her garden (with all the water in the world) AT 3AM!!!!! And she was yelling out to her hubby and being generally noisy, and I felt like going over and reminding her of the time, and the fact that some are trying to sleep!!!
love spiral
xo
Hi Spiral, I have had a very hard time believing I am pregnant too, even after seeing my bubbas twice. I just find it so hard to believe that my dream of being a Mum is finally coming true, after all the lows over the last four and a half years!! I can't wait for Wednesday either to see my little ones again!!:D
Bradysmum, at first I thought I was going mad when I saw that my belly is popping out but I have studied it and studied it and sucked it in and sucked it in and it's going nowhere!! It even feels quite hard. Don't get me wrong, it is not huge or anything but there is a definite little bulge already!! Even when I get up first thing in the morning my tummy is usually flat as, but not anymore. How exciting. :smiliedance:
I am still struggling big time with the fatigue. I have never felt this tired in my entire life. I am starting my reduced work hours this week, but today is one of the two full days that I have to work. Bummer  If I really wanted to go home to sleep I could, but I would just feel like a total wuss!! Will try and hang in there

Hey girls!
Lisa, I definately started to show at around 10wks!! I was in the shower one night, and I've just looked down and gone holy cr@p!! I was so excited. I was very lucky, I didn't really get morning sickness. (sorry!!) I just looked up my pregnancy journal and here's what happened in my first 3mths.
8wks - slight tummy, mild nausea every now and then
10wks - gagging when brushing teeth!
veins starting to appear on boobs
need to eat all the time
11wks - gagging when I take multivitamins
people starting to ask if I'm pregnant (so obviously starting to show)
12wks - tops starting to strain over belly
tried porridge, but gagged!
had 3D ultrasound and everything looked great!!
I'll pm you my email address if you ever need to know anything!

Morning Ladies ...
Well , I did a bit too much last night by cooking for my in Laws , and I'm in pain this since last night ... I'll take it easy today ...
Bradysmum : very very cute little boy .. I have a big smile on my face looking at his picture
Leanne : yes , I saw the counselor and the nurse the same day . She basically asked how we felt going through this program , what feelings we have .She talks about your DH giving your support and if we could think of NOT having any children if the IVF did not work . It's more of a " 3 people " conversation , but I don't remember asking her questions as she does it herself . She just want to know a bit more about you and your DH ... Enjoy your morning tea with your friend and good luck for this first step.:fingerscrossed: :
Shajake ::fingerscrossed: :fingerscrossed: : , we are all thinking about you as well . Let us know how you are going ...

Good morning beautiful women!
i am feeling a bit off today again - really exhausted and a bit light headed.....I didnt sleep well again, more nightmares and needing to pee every couple of hours!!!!!
When i went to the shops yesterday I was standing looking at some stuff and absentmindedly rubbing my tummy...a lady went past with her twins, and the little boy said " look mummy that lady is going to have a baby" and she said " no, no she isnt dear, she is just thinking and rubbing her tummy" and raced off all embaressed!! I didn't have a chance to correct her! I think she was really embarressed because she thought I was just fat!! :)
I cant wait until tomorrow morning!!!!!! 8.30 am I will see my little one for the first time!!!!!!!

Hi girls!
Bradysmum, I think we should get together and have a cheek pinching party!! Your new photo of Brady is adorable too! My 2 have just eaten half a rockmelon and are running around now playing with my nanna.
Catch up with all you girls soon!
Michelle
Hi everyone!!
Bradysmum and Michelle, OMG, your babies are soooooo beautiful!! They are so beautiful, they make me want to cry (I have been doing a fair bit of that lately :D ) I can't believe that soon I will have two of my own!!
Michelle, I did think that I would start getting a belly at about 10 weeks, but I was surprised to notice it in the last couple of days. You would not believe the amount of food I am eating at the moment!! My DH is amazed and is actually trying to keep up with me, but can't!! I asked him the other night if he was trying to grow a belly with me
Sunflower, I hope your blood test goes well tomorrow! Not long now and you will be well and truly on your way to becoming pregnant :yelclap:
Spiral, sounds like you are travelling down the same road as me. I am constantly tired  I am hoping that it lets up in the second trimester. Can't wait to hear about your scan tomorrow!!
Beatrice, how are you going?? Did you tell your in-laws the wonderful news last night?? Please don't go overdoing things in these first few weeks. I was and still am, very careful to lay down every opportunity that I get.
Leanne and Shajake, look forward to hearing how you both go today.

Hi everyone!!
thats so exciting leanne! starting your journey!
well fablis, i think my belly must be looking preggers too - I thought it did, but after the lady yesterday thought it was just fat, it made me think it was all in my head....BUT....today i went to visit friend from work and she touched my belly and went "wow! look at this! you are all popped out already!!!!" And then on the very busy bus on the way home, a man stood up to give the pregnant lady ( me that is) a seat!!!!!! made me all happy and gooey!!
I dont think i will get a video or picture of the scan tomorrow, as it is just in my IVF Dr's rooms, not in the clinic....but we shall see....we will take a camera just in case!
much love to all

Good evening everyone,
Gee so much to catch up on and all I missed was a day...
Hope everyone is well.
Well what a day we've had...First we were meant to see the nurses at the RWH at 10.30 am. They had us down for tommorrow...fabulous...the lady at reception started off being rude but once she noticed we had come through the private system she was much nicer...
Anyway to cut a long story short they rang my Dr's office and the receptionist rescheduled some appointments and we saw the nurses, counsellors and accounts dept today.
Counselling...ok, informative but I felt that this stuff could have been done with our dr...
Nurses...they were great...She went through the process we would be on and any possible problems we might face, talked about how to deal with things and what to expect at each stage and also that it's probably a good idea to get jake looked after on the day and night of my epu, so I can rest...Talked about pain level during and after epu...Just have to talk to my dr re some meds to deal with ovulation pain and after epu...I even got to put a needle in...not nearly as bad as I thought..
Accounts dept...well they expect you to be able to come up with the money, as usual, they seem to expect that all patients are millionaires...Didn't like the person we dealt with...anyway, we have to call one other person in accounts to discuss finances..
My dr was called out to do an emergency operation so he will call me tommorrow so we can talk.
If we can come up with the money then we can start as soon as I get my next period.
So fingers crossed :fingerscrossed: we can work something out, otherwise I will be tracking to see how all of you are going!!!
I do have 1 other question though...For those of you who don't have private health insurance, how do the fees work? Do you have out of pocket expenses?
I'll check in again soon.

Hi Sharon, i have private cover and to be honest it didn't help me at all with the treatment. Medicare actually covers alot of the treatment and with the safety net thing now you get to claim your cycles so you do get money back. At tax time i used to recieve an invoice which states all that we paid and we could claim it and get money back, which was great for us!! But i found Medicare to be fantasic they really do pay a fair bit of it!!! Im glad you had your appointments, a shame about all the stuffing around though huh? Hopefully your doctor calls you tomorrow and you can chat with him about your concerns!!! Big :hugs: for you!!!
I know that medicare pay back a fair bit, the part DH has a problem with the coming up with the money upfront...$2500 is a lot to come up with in 3 weeks...
I'm a little frustrated that for 4 months while waiting for the dr appointment, no information was sent out...then all the appointments and you're kinda stuck...
Sorry just venting, feeling a little annoyed at the moment, because I'm just keen to get started and all my DH's attitude was always let's see the specialist and hear what he has to say(I've known the outcome all along) and so everytime I would go to discuss putting away some money towards it we would argue...
So I'm more annoyed at myself for not saving the money without him knowing...
Again sorry for venting...
SuperWoman
14-03-2006, 22:14
Sharon please dont apologise for venting your frustrations!! Thats what we are here for! It is a pain in the you know what to organise the money for all this and i agree that they should let you know in advance the exact costs so people can prepare themselves!!! And it is alot of money to pay upfront, i totally agree with you on that one!!!
hear hear...Anyway we will see...I did speak to my mum and I have asked to borrow the money, she said she will talk to dad and let me know...We will be able to get the money in probably 6 to 12 months, but if we leave it without borrowing and starting the process rolling then we probably won't get to it...You know how it is, something always comes up....

Evening Girls ...
I come back from work and I'm really happy to read good news :
Leanne : I'm very happy that everything went well and I'm sure we will start your treatment very soon . Bet you're going to the toilet checking every five minutes if your having your periods , no ??? well , that's what I've been doing !!!:p
Sunflower : good luck for tomorrow and pleaaaaaase let us know about the result ...
Spiral : what a day to look forward ... enjoy every bit !!! and say hello to your little sprout from the "Lucky thread team and company " !!!!
By the way Cindy , Fablis and Spiral , how many weeks are you now ??? As ButterflyKisses said , we could do a CYBER SHOWER in few months ... and we really , really want to have all of you Ladies to join us with your little Bub ...
Noah&laylasmum and Bradysmum : your pictures are soooooooo sweet ..:hugs:
I hope Shajake went alright as well ...
Yes , my DH announced to his Parents that I was pregnant .. they were really happy but we suspect that they knew something because they were not " that surprised " !!!!
I just want an advise Girls .. I'm suffering from constipation : neither Prunes Juice or Metamucil work .. do you have any tips ???:o Thanks !!!!
Have a great night Ladies ...
Hi Beatrice...Constipation, yuck...um try corn, that tends to have a laxative effect and it's natual and good for you...
SuperWoman
14-03-2006, 22:25
Beatrice, oohh constipation that hurts,LOL!!! Just try and drink lots and lots of water, eat lots of fruit and vegies!!! I was always constipated when i was pregnant and that seemed to help!!
ok ladies, well I'm off to bed, I wish everyone a wonderful night sleep and I'll talk to you tomorrow...I'm working in the morning so I'll check in in the afternoon
Morning girls!!
Leanne, I am so glad that you are looking to start your treatment with your next cycle. Not long now and you will be in full swing!!
Beatrice, I have been suffering with constipation on and off as well. I just try to eat two pieces of fruit each day, eat lots of fibre and drink at least 2 litres of water. Are you using Progesterone Pessaries? I am. I think that the really high levels of progesterone in your system causes the constipation :o I am 9.3 weeks today!! I have another appointment with my OB this afternoon at 4pm so hopefully will get to see my bubbas again. Will let you know how I go.
Shajake, unfortunately IVF is a very expensive road to travel down, regardless of whether you have private health insurance or not. I think all up I have been out of pocket about $2,500.00 but now that I have reached my Medicare threshold, apparently I can take my receipts in and I should get even more money back (that would be nice).
Hi to everyone else. Hope you are having a lovely day!!
Spiral finally today is here. It's the best feeling seeing that little heart beat for the first time.
Beatrice I've heard pear juice works too. Also drink lots of water.
Sunflower Good luck for today.
To all of the other ladies (so many now) hope you are all well and having a good day.
Hi Shajake I've seen ladies at my clinic paying in installments. Maybe you can ask about that next time you talk to them. I've also found once you are pregnant you have to pay for all of the ante natal checkups with the specialist and ultrasounds as well. My hubby and I were under the impression the amount we paid up front covered us up until the birth. Maybe we are a bit naive first time and all. But at least we only have to fork out every three weeks now and we met the safety net after our initial payment so we get about 80% back.
Beatrice everytime I use the online pregnancy calculators with my EDD date they say I am 10 weeks pregnant but the clinic says I am only 9 weeks and they gave me the EDD, so it doesn't make sense to me. I'm not quite sure how they work it out. I'm not too worried though so i'll say 9 weeks on Thursday. I've got my next ultrasound next Friday the 24th. Hubby and I can't wait, he squeezed my hand so hard last time I thought it was going to drop off, hopefully we'll get a picture this time. Last time they printed one off but we were so excited we forgot to ask for it.
To all of the mummies to be and mummies already just a few questions about nursery and baby stuff. I have a list I've been making of essentials if you can add anything I've missed that would be helpful.
Cot/sheets etc
A little soft carrier or something for bubs to sleep in before they go in the cot
Pram
Change table
Chest of drawers
Car seat
Nappy bag & Lots of nappies!/baby wipes etc
000 clothes and swaddling cloths/blankets
Have I forgotten anything? Thanks Cindy

Leanne great that things are moving along really fast!!!
Shajake isn't it disapointing when something like money gets in the way of having something that should be free in the first place!! I hope you work out the money issues really soon, maybe you could use a credit card?
Spiral hope you had a lovely morning seeing little sprout!
Cindy wow 9 (or 10) weeks already! are you starting to show yet?
Beatrice try weetbix or dried apricots apparently they are good for constipation.
Fablis you get to see your bubbas again how exciting are you going to find out if there are boys or girls or both in there?
Well I had my blood test which was fine. But the Dr said to ring the ivf clinic after all my blood tests which I did today but now I don't have an appointment till April 4th!! Which will be day13 of my next cycle and than I will probably have to wait till the next one and becuase my cycles are so long it prob won't all happen till May! I'm so disapointed I wish I had rung the clinic weeks ago! :( The Dr made out that it would all be happening next cycle... :crying:

hey wonderful women!!
Well i saw my little sprout this morning!!!!
Its a tiny little blob! not even 1 cm long yet! My hubby could see the heartbeat, but my eyes are terrible and the screen was a bit too far away, so i couldnt really see it :( I have a picture of it, but will have to wait for my hubby to scan it into the computer tonight to show you all....
I am 7 weeks this friday. and she gave me 2 different due dates - the chart said 1st Nov and the ultrasound said 2nd Nov!!!!
It is the last time we will see our IVF specialist ( until we try for number two)...we have applied to try to get in to the Birth Centre to have our baby naturally, with midwife care, so the IVF specialist is handing me over to my GP for my care now.......
cindyc - i have been buying baby stuff and also thinking about what i need.......
I am not going to buy a cot as we plan to do co-sleeping, so I am buying a snuggle bed to put in our bed.....Im also not going to buy a change table as i am just going to use the bed for that as well.......im not sure if we will spend much on a pram as i plan to buy a sling to carry them for much of the early days....
so far i have bought
cloth nappies / snappy/ covers/ nappy stacker/ biodegradable liners/ natural wipes
lots of little singlets - as our babies will all be born in the hot weather!
little socks
sleeveless rompers
cotton blankie
need to buy
snuggle bed
sling
car seat (gonna go for one that converts as they grow)
more nappies and nappy covers
nappy buckets
cotton /muslin wraps
natural soap / shampoo
almond oil for bottoms
baby bath
washers
but I dont really know how much I will get as hand me downs as well.....just kinda waiting and seeing what i get given!!!
Beatrice - try eating prunes rather than the juice - works better, so i am told - and yes lots of water, hope you get better soon love, I had the same preoblem for a while there!!
love spiral and sproutxoxoxo
Hey Spiral, congratulations on seeing your little Sprout for the first time!! :D Isn't it such a relief to know that there is definitely something growing inside you, and you're not just imaging it??
I go for my appointment at 4pm this afternoon. Can't wait to see my little ones again!!
I haven't done any baby shopping yet. I am too scared that I will jinx myself. If I had shopped everytime I have been pregnant in the past, I would have a houseful of stuff. I figure that I will get into it pretty soon though. I have chosen some maternity clothes from one of the sites on the internet which I will order in the next few days. My clothes are actually getting quite tight so I think I'll be needing maternity clothes soon.
Have a lovely day!!
Hi Fablis, I feel the same way as you I haven't actually purchased anything yet I just want to have a list put together of things I need. I won't start buying anything until my second trimester.

Hello Ladies
Lots to catch up with ...
Spiral : we can't wait to see your little one the the screen ... must be a great feeling ...
Fablis : let us know how those little one look like !!! must be sooooo exciting ...
I'm not on progesterone pessaries but I'll try everything ...
Sunflower : that's hard on you to have to wait again ... those Dr sometimes they don't get it !!! but I'm sure it's just a matter of time and when it will work you will be very happy ...
Cindy : I have not been that far in doing a list as I'm very cautious . I rather wait for my scan in 2 weeks and to be told that everything is fine .They I will fell much more relax about my " long list " !!!! I have been collected clothes in France so Mum will send me some over ...
Leanne : I'm so glad you can start your treatment so quickly ... keep checking for the " signs "...
Shajake : I know , the cost of IVF is absolutely ridiculous . Out of pocket , I reach around 2500 $ ... I hope you are your DH will work out something ...
Thanks Ladies for your advices on constipation .. I'll try my best !!!
Have a good afternoon ... going to work .
Take care all of you.
Hello all
well we see our specailist tomorrow at 4.10 and i am soo excited. i hope he says i can start the pill when i get my period. which should be any day now, each time i go to the toilet i have been checking like mad. but i dont know if he would let me start taking the pill if i got it tonight. because by the time he gives me the script and i get it filled i would then be starting on the second day of my period.
so maybe its better to hope my period doesnt come till friday. i dont know what to think.
can anyone help me out with this dahlema
Hi Leannej, good luck for tomorrow  Sorry I can't help with your question, of the couple of ladies I know and myself that have gone through IVF in Perth none of us have been put on the pill. First I heard of it was on this thread, Cindy
Hi Leanne,
We had an appointment with the nurses where they talked through the process and the pill and the injections. They showed me how to inject myself and I even had a practice run at it in my belly and all.
They told me to call them on day 1 of my period and then the pill is to be taken from day until they tell you...I hope this helps.
Have you seen the nurses yet?
oooppps I forgot to put that the pill will be taken from day 5 of your period
Good news...Parents and inlaws are helping out so :fingerscrossed: we can start in 2 and a bit weeks (whenever my AF arrives)...I have also checked out medicare and we will get quite a bit back because of the safety net...Yay:smiliedance:
Shajake- im so happy for you that you can start as soon as your AF comes. in great that parents and in laws can help. normally when it comes to having a grandchild they will do anything.
i havent seen the nurses yet. but at the counselling they showed us the injection, spray and the pill. but i didnt get to have a practice go (not fair). the lady at the counselling said once i see the dr he will give me a script and she said on the first day i get my period that i will have to start the pill. but i guess i just have to wait and see what the dr says tomorrow.
what ivf place are you going to?
We're at Melbourne ivf at the Freemasons and our dr is Lyndon Hale...
well Leanne, my in laws are contributing an amount and the rest we will be borrowing from my parents and paying them back.
Well sharon we are at monash ivf and clayton. and some may be slightly different to others. but im sure we will both find out along the way as we will share our journey.
well we were kind of in the same situation as you thinking were will we find that kind of money from. so we went to my pa ( who has a bit of money) and asked him if we could borrow the money from. and we were luck that he said as much as you need i will lend it to you no questions asked. but we still have to pay it back one day.
well im of to the in laws for a shower as we are renovating our bathroom. i will check in when i get home and before i go to be.
Miss Ellie

Hi all
Beatrice, cindyc, noah&layla’smum, Bradysmum, mum2jo, Shajake, sunflower, fablis, spiralgirl, butterflykisses, and everyone, thank you all so much for your kind words when I posted my bad news. They truly helped me, knowing that there are others out there that understand and care. It has been hard without DH, two more sleeps and he will be home, I can't wait.
I've kept myself busy since I last posted firstly because work is incredibly busy right now but also because the same day I got AF (Monday) I became incredibly sick. First of all I thought is was a symptom of the MC but it seems there is a bug around. I won't give you TMI but let's just say I wasn't just vomiting... urk. But I had to go to work anyway unfortunately. The other things I've been doing is planning ahead. I've made an appointment with my doctor and it is on 7 April (I think from memory) which is incredibly soon considering every other time I've had to wait over four months! Must be a double failed pregnancy special :) and I've also booked DH and I in to see a herbalist because I've heard good stories about them helping either natural or IVF conceptions. My friend recommended this one and swears her treatment enabled a natural conception just when she was about to embark on IVF.
Bradysmum and noah&layla’smum, love the new photos! So adorable!
I saw you had some discussion of symptoms: both times I've been pregnant, even though short, I've had a definite hardness to my belly under the roll of fat (I'm on the large size though not huge) and throbbing when I lay on my tummy in bed.
Spiralgirl, too funny about the little boy saying to his mummy that you are going to have a baby… kids are so perceptive sometimes!
Leannej and others, what is the pill you are mentioning? I didn’t take a pill, just the Synarel spray and the injections in the tummy later on (ouch!). Funny how things are so different between different clinics, I thought before reading all your stories that it would all be done pretty much the same everywhere! Like the 2WW, I only had to wait one week every time. I don't know that that's any better though :(
Shajake, re fees, My private health cover doesn’t cover IVF although it does cover roughly half the cost of the progesterone pessaries (that reminds me I still have some to claim). But with the Medicare Safety net we got a reasonable amount back overall. Great news that you are getting help from your parents and in laws and can start soon.
Spiralgirl, how wonderful for you to see your little sprout! I’m so happy for you.
Fablis, I know exactly what you mean about delaying maternity and baby purchases… I nearly bought some clothes online last time and made myself wait, which I’m really thankful for now, that I won’t have them to arriving on my door mat to remind me.
Leannej and shajake all the best for the start of your IVF.
Last thing... re the constipation discussion, elsewhere on the bubhub community forums there was a thread about this, it had lots of good suggestions so maybe search the forums for it.
Best wishes to all :D
When will I learn to post short messages???? :ecomcity:

Hi everyone!! Yeah, it has been quiet today! I just got home from the shops. Went to Highpoint Shopping centre today with my best friend (Mum2jo). It was nice to get out of the house for a bit!! I also went to buy my pill!! How funny huh? I havent been on the pill since August 2001, i went off it just before we got married in October 2001 so we could get pregnant! Feels funny going back on it. I get really painful periods and the pill used to help them be a little more pain free!! Still feels funny being on it though!!
Leanne, how did you appoinment go today? Cant wait to hear from you!!
Miss Ellie, 1 more sleep and your hubby will be back!!!:smiliedance:
Hope everone is ok!!

Hi everyone
hope you all had a great day. well my day at work was so busy that the day just flu by.
well we saw the dr this afternoon. and i was running late as i didnt get out of work dead on time. so i was panicing but in the end i was only 5 mins late. as it was the dr was runing very behind. the dr said on the first day of my af to start taking the pill and gave me the script. first thing i did wehn i got home was go straight to the chemist and got the pill.
also my body must of know that i was waiting for my period to come as it has come now:smiliedance: :smiliedance: . i have never been so happy for my period to come.
so first thing when i wake in the morning i will take the pill. it feels so werid to think im going to go back on the pill for a short time, after so long of not being on it.
the dr also said to ring and arrange to see my nurse. i will do that on my lunch break tomorrow.
but im so excited im finally starting IVF
Miss Ellie

Hi everyone
Oh now I get it about the pill. The clinic I go to doesn't seem to use it, when I had my IVF last year I had to have blood tests starting day 13 of my cycle, I didn't record what days I had tests after that but I started the Synarel five days later and egg pick up was on 18 May 2005 after "booking on" to IVF day one of my cycle 7 April! I didn't remember it took so long to go through but I guess it is a cycle and a half so I shouldn't be surprised. :D
Beatrice, the kittens are doing great, I didn't tell you girls but I had a scare with them last Friday - the mother escaped and at the age they are now it wasn't likely I'd be able to hand-rear them. All day and night Friday through to 10am Saturday she was missing and I had to feed them EVERY TWO HOURS using a bottle!!! Oh My God was I tired on Saturday after getting up and doing that every two hours! Made me wonder how I'd go with a baby that's for sure. Anyway mother cat (Cloudy I've called her because she's grey) turned up again so all is well now.
Only 19 hours till I pick up DH from the airport! Can't wait!
Sounds like everything is going well and/or starting to happen for you all so I am so excited for you. Spiral, I looooooved seeing your scan pic. So amazing when you actually see it, that little life inside you.
I'm glad to hear positive thoughts about the herbalist/naturopath, I feel a lot more positive now (still have sad moments, especially when I think about my no-longer-to-be EDD of 15 November) and having taken action helps.
Dammit I've been babbling again... probably cos DH isn't hear to listen to me ramble on!
M (who just got a shock as Ellie and Poppy popped through the cat door in chasey mode!) ;)

Hi Ladies,
Quick post before bed.
Dinner was great...Yummy food and good company always a good combination.
Well the countdown begins...Just have to wait for AF to arrive then I too will be heading down the road...Not sure what to think or feel at this stage, just trying to get on with life...
I tried out a cleaner today and was not happy at all...Back to the drawing board it is...I'm having someone come out and give me a quote on Monday.
For the weekend, DH is working in the morning and we need to pick up a guard for Jakes bed. Hopefully my dad can come over and help us to assemble Jakes bed(It's my old single bed and dad pulled it apart so we can store it) and then :fingerscrossed: he can go into a big bed...Sunday, not much during the day hopefully do something as a family, and then it's off to my in laws for dinner...
I have family here from overseas and they leave on the 28th (they have been here for 6 months) so I'll try and spend some time with them...They are coming to my in laws...
Well that's it for me another busy weekend...
Speak to you all soon.

It's me again...
Did anyone started on " Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Formula " : the pink bottle with vitamins from Blackmore or another brand ???
Ivf did not tell me to take anything exept Folic acid that I started 3 months ago ...
Any ideas ??
Hi Girls, hope everyone is having a great weekend. I went to sleep really early last night and didn't get up till nine this morning. I have really bad sinus trouble the last couple of days and now I think I'm coming down with the flu or something.
Beatrice I've been looking around at pregnancy vitamins. The only thing I don't like about the Blackmores Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Formula is that the amount of folic doesn't meet the required intake (only 200mg). At my clinic they like "Elevit" but I'm a bit worried about the amount of iron (60 mg) as I suffer from constipation too. I thought I might try the Blackmores one but take extra folic acid. I'm going to check with my Dr exactly how much I should be taking, currently I'm having 500mg a day.
Oops, I just read the blackmores site and they say take 2 capsules per day. So that means you get 400mg of folic. So that seems better.
hi everyone
hope you all are having a great weekend. well my DP is doing the last little bits to the bathroom. so hopefully:fingerscrossed: by tomorrow night i can have a shower at my own house. instead of at the in lwas, dont get me wrong they are great. but it will just be nice to have a shower at house.
well it is so great to be on the ivf path.
Beatrice, cindyc and fablis how are you all feeling?
Shajake how are you going? is your AF due soon. i bet you are hanging for it to come. i know i was.

hi everyone!
Beatrice - my dr told me to just keep taking the folate tablets and not to take anything else. He said to have a healthy balanced diet and then no other vitamins are required.
I had a great day today! We read in the paper that there was a 2nd hand baby clothes fair being run by the muliple births association so we got there nice and early! There was a line out the front and in about the first 20 mins after they let us in, all the good things were gone!!!I tell u, mamas sure can pounce when its for their bubs!!!!
We got some great stuff, just some little sleevless rompers and t shirts and things, but it was good to get them cheaper!! There was lots of good quality stuff ( and it was all clean!) we got a great nappy bag - a backpack type that the lady had only used for her last child and was in great condition! she had paid 100 dollars for it, but we got it for 40! ( I was pretty happy about that!) it was heaps of fun!
we spent the rest of the day looking at baby stuff, and bought a few more things that I wanted.
anyway hope everyone else had a great day.
The only bad thing is that I have quite the nausea today - i think Im starting to get the dreaded morning sickness!
hugs to all

Hi all!!! Im lonely without my boy!!! Today is the anniversary of the day i had the transfer for Brady 1 year ago!!! Special day!!!:smiliedance: I can't believe it has been 1 year already!!:yelclap:
Beatrice, i took Elevit tablets for my pregnancy, my doctor recommended them. Towards the end i got constipated as it was too much iron. Im sure your doc will recommend you something. Hope you have had a nice day!! Take care!!
Shajake, glad you had a nice night last night! Hope you got Jakes bed all organised. Did your dad help you out?
Leanne, hope you are having fun laying in front of the telly and relaxing, sounds nice!! Enjoy your night!!
Cindy, i used to wake up with the sniffles when i was pregnant oe with a blocked nose, but it was only due to being pregnant, so hopefully that all it is for you and not a cold, fingers crossed:fingerscrossed: .
Fablis, hope you are having a lovely weekend!! Miss you!!:hugs:
Michelle, hope you are well, pinch Noah & Laylas cheeks for me,LOL!!!
Take care everyone!!!xoxoxox
Hi everyone,
Beatrice...I've been taking the blackmores pregnancy multivitamin since we started trying 18 months ago...It's perfectly fine...I've since swapped to the cenovis brand because it's cheaper...Either is perfectly fine to take...I lack potassium and I'm sure other stuff as well and I find that taking a pregnancy multivitamin gives the added stuff we need as well as being safe while trying and or once you've conceived...
Bradysmum...Dad's coming in the morning to help us...So we're all ready to go, he should be in a big bed tommorrow night...Wish us luck.
Leanne...I'm regular as clockwork so my AF will come right on time...
Fablis...Are you okay?
AF should arrive Sunday/Monday fortnight if I calculated right...It all starts then.
Anyway what will be will be.
Have a great night and day tommorrow and I will check in again then.

Happy anniversary Brady !!! A very very special day  .and plus he was not with you today ... must have been really hard for you .... lots of cuddle to him from us ...:hugs:
Shajake : thanks for the advise ... I actually have the CENOVIS brand as well but I prefer to start it accordance to my OB . I need to find one at Frankston Hospital so I'm starting my search ... What do you start with when you'll have your period ? start straight on to the spray or you start the pill as well ?
Hope everybody had a nice week end ...
Hope Fablis you are ok , we have not heard from you for a while ...:o
Hi all,
We just got home...We have been so busy the past few nights...Jake's in our bed watching Playschool, hopefully with any luck he will be asleep soon and I'll transfer him...I'll let you know how the night was tommorrow.
When AF arrives I will be on the pill then the spray etc...
Hope everyone is well.
Hi all
hope everyone had a great weeken. well we have just about finished off the bathroom. we get to have a shower in our new shower for the first time tomorrow, i cant wait :) . my DP thinks im getting i bit too excited. but i think it will just be nice to have a shower in my own house.
i have to ring my nurse tomorrow to organise to see her for the first time. i tried to ring her on friday but she was away. the lady i spoke to said they prefer us to go to the nurses seminar first then meet with her. well i supose she will tell me tomorrow when i call.
other then that we have no IVF things to do this we. so its going to be a pretty quite week for us ( besides work). But next week we have the nurses seminar on the tuesday at 5.45, which im looking forward to as i think it will be very interesting.
so what does everyone else have planned for the week?
oh bradysmum i hope brady has a good night sleep in his new bed.
Hi Leanne...You'll find talking with nurses very informative...I found them really good...I have everything I need for the process, I just wait for my AF to arrive and then I call them and they tell me when to do everything else...
How come they didn't make you see them and the counsellors before they started you on the pill?
I'm working 2 days this week, but nothing else really planned.
sorry bradysmum i was ment to say shajake, i hope jake sleeps ok in his new been. sorry for the mix up.
shajake i have seen the counsellers and then was told to see my dr then he gave me the script and said to start taking the pill on the frist day of my period. i was then told to ring and arrange to see the nurse. i guess thats just the way they do it at monash. i suppose that each clinic is different in their own little way.
i have read in my hand book that as long as i have seen the nurse before i have been on the pill for 17 days then everything should be fine. thats what i read.
so the way the 2 of us are doing things are slightly different (but not too different).
