Hey guys just wondering if any of you would be interested in organising a meet up like they have done in the brisbane thread but just for the young mums?
What suburb are you in? I'm in Regents Park. How young were you hoping for? I'm 24 with a 2yr old.
I am from Greenslopes...am 19 and have a 4 month old.
Hey guys, im 23 with 3 children Isaiah 6, Tyrone 4 and Aaliyah 2.5 with number 4 on the way :) ( some say we r game, others say we r stupid lol). Im due in 3 weeks but after that id b interested in a meet up, im at Coopers Plains.

im 22 and still pregnant. only 9 weeks to go, but would still love to catch up. getting tired of being at home alone all day and would love to meet other mums.
im in north brisbane. ( stafford Heights)
So is everyone interested in doing something? If so where abouts and what do you guys want to do? Considering most of us are from the southside, would Garden City be a good location? I don't mind going into the city if thats easier for the northside peoples...We could all meet up and go to a babes in arms movie or just go out for a coffee?? i like the sound of meeting up. i just joined bub hub today and im still pregnant, but i would really like to get to know some other girls. or is it just a thing for mums with bubs already?
Would love to meet up, but I have a very active two year old to bring along so if someone knows of a toddler friendly place to meet up that would be great :D

would a meet up be on the southside or northside. it doesnt really matter to me, i can get anywhere, but i know that westfield chermside is kid friendly. upstairs outside the theatres. what does everyone else want to do? pretty hard to get a day that everyone owuld be available.
How bout Southbank? The older kids can play and theres plenty of shade for everyone else. It's a pretty central place for everyone to get to :)
I'm available any day, but I'm childless on mondays coz thats when my son goes to daycare.
Southbank is good for me. im available any day. looking forward to meeting some new people!
Any day is good for me. Although i would prefer a week day over a day on the weekend....less people around. I think somewhere like Roma Street parklands or southbank would good ...fairly kid friendly and easy for all to get too.
So how about we make it for sometime in early/mid April? That way we still have a bit of time to plan.
Ktmg82 when are you due? We can organise to have it before then.
Im due on june1 so anytime before then is good for me. id just be glad to get outta the house for a while! cant wait to meet you all!

Thats good for me :D Where shall we go? Southbank might be better, most people know their way around the place.
Hopefully a few more people might join us, looks like theres only four of us at this stage :)

i dotn know southbank very well either, but there is a icecream shop where the beach is, i think its called kodak beach. What time was everyone thinking?

Just a thought, why don't we meet at the Suncorp Piazza? Theres more room for prams and stuff, and it's covered so if its raining we can still meet up. It's pretty big so it's not hard to find.
Anyway, just an idea, what does everyone else think?
Go to this site http://www.south-bank.net.au/ find the southbank map, i think its in the 'ABOUT US' section, and you can see where the piazza is if you aren't sure :) make sure pop-up blocker is turned off too or the map wont come up :D

Sassafras is on one of the main roads in Paddo called Latrobe Terrace - can someone give better directions than that? I am really bad with directions..

The Southbank beach get together sounds fab! Dexter and I would love to join you, but we spend the day with another Mum n Bub to share the load, you know like cooking, housework, gardening etc.. so won't be able to come along. Great inner city venue choice though.
Would love to catch up at Sassa's if that's going to be a regular though! We live just a few streets away.

Just wondering if everyone is still up for the Southbank meet up on Thursday?
Sure am :D How are we gonna know who we are meeting? Don't say look for all the prams coz what about the first few people who get there? They'll be looking for a group of prams and there will only be one or two there.
Any ideas anyone?
ummm...not sure. I will have Mason in a black baby bjorn carriers unless i get a new pram before thursday. I look really young...so i guess you can look for a 12 yr old carry a baby...lol. I don't know if that helps..

i'll be there i have a gray bravo pram it has a red toy dog hanging off one side and i'll be wearing jeans and a white top. if that helps anyone!!!
maybe we could all meet on the steps of the piazza on the side that the T.V faces, closer to the end where the toilets are?
Ok, so i had a silly idea :p Maybe we could all tie a balloon onto our prams?? Skadi, you could just look for people with them, coz you wont have a pram with you. Anyone with another idea??? Or does that sound ok to everyone?

Sorry i didn't make it guys :( My 2yr old decided to play at 4:30 am then sleep til almost 9am. Which ment that organising to make the 45 minute trip to southbank in 15mins was gonna be impossible. He likes to take 20 mins to eat his breakfast.
Are you guys gonna meet up again? Hopefully you are and we can make it to the next one.
How many people would be interested in another meet up? Would more people come along if there was a second one?

Would love to meet you guys for coffee, since I didn't make it to Southbank. But sadly my 2yr old in a coffee shop isn't a good idea.

The Wintergarden is in the Queen Street mall....just opposite David Jones...There are stairs leading down from the mall to the food court which is where Gloria Jeans is.

Does anyone relize just how old this thread is?
I started this way back in 2005 under an old username (skadi). We use to organise meets back then but haven't in the past 2 years or so.. but saying that if anyone does organise one i would be willing to come.

Yeah fair enough. I think some people probably don't relize though.
Most of the people that were involved in organising and attending all the meets back then don't even come here anymore.
So it would have to upto someone else to come up with a place and date.
I m happy to arrange it all
Where abouts is everyone from in Brisbane ?
If all or most of us are going to the PCB expo maybe we could meet up there ?
