I had to take DS to the Dr tonight as he has 2 small tears that to me seemed quite deep, anywho the dr has told me to head to the mater here in brisbane and talk to the paediatric specialists there and also perhaps get him assessed at the "poo clinic". I have tried prune juice, apple juice, pear juice, coloxyl drops, suppositories and i refuse to use laxatives (the doctor advised against it as well), i've tried weetbix, veges, fruit and i'm tired of my little man being in so much pain. It's so scary when there is blood in his nappy from the tears and I feel so bad when I see him in so much pain. The doctor said his bowel isn't obstructed and everything is "normal". He is happy when he is finished doing a movement but will grunt and push till his little face goes red for days and I'm getting really worried, he even pushes that hard that he will vomits all over the place.

Anyways I just wanted to have a bit of a vent

:hugs: Poor bubby, and poor you.

It would have to be one of the hardest things we have to go through as mums.........watching our little ones in pain.

Hi my daughter went through the same thing for 5years we have now found LACTOLOSE it is like a thick honey and is a softner and bub can not get addicted , you can up the dose is they get hard, my daughter was on 20mls / day but now she is on about 20mls once a week ( she was at the stage twice a year the hospital would admit her for a week and flush the bowel,
Try the lactolose it is natural you can buy from the chemist and you can not over dose and its not a stimulant,

good luck

i feel for you:fingerscrossed:
