I need help. My 15 week old bubs used to sleep really well, at least 4-7 hours then another 3 hours. Now he wakes only 20 minutes after i put him down and he wakes screaming in pain! He then wakes up every 1-2 hours! He is farting during the night..Is this just a phase? I have gone back to work 2 days a week and im scared it will be like this for a while? I miss my long sleep! Is it teething? Is it wind? help please:banghead:

It could quite possibly be teething or wind/reflux/colic.
Is he pulling at his ears, putting his fists in his mouth, dribbling heaps, have red cheeks?
Does he pull his legs up when he is crying is he straining, is he constipated at all, does he vomit alot?

Reasons for teething: We dribbles heaps, puts fists in mouth, MHN says his gums have flattened ready for teeth, slight pinking cheeks. I tried bonjella but it didnt help.
Reasons for wind: He arches his back during the night and is relieved once he passes wind.:gloomy:
it sounds a litle bit like wind, does he feed right before you put him down to bed? When my DD has problems with wind when she was younger I used infacol wind drops and they were amazing:thumbsup: Otherwise i think you can use gripe water and there are other things out there on the market as well
ETA as for teething, bonjella stopped working for my DD as well as did panadol so we started using Brauer's teething relief which is natural and a god send!
Maybe you could try burping him for just a bit longer after every feed just to make sure he doesn't have any wind left in him little tummy. Other wise, i don't know what else you could try. Hope it get better for you, it sucks when you don't know what it going on :hugs:

I second the infacol or similar drops (like the brauer ones), you can also get a brauer teething mixture also maybe go and speak to the pharmacist and see what they say.

Thanks guys, I have infacol, ill try it tonight. I hope it works, im going to work at 7am tomorrow :wizard:
If the infacol etc doesnt help within a few days then maybe pop off to the gp, colic/reflux quite often can start at this age and if it is your gp can help immensely. all the best and hope it resolves.
