View Full Version : Cloth Pull-Ups? Bedwetter fitted nappies? Training pants?

I'm looking for some new bedwetter cloth nappies. We have a couple of pairs already but need some new ones.
So I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice on really great ones? We have a cheekybutts pocket and a Happy heiny's pocket, but the CB is too small now, and the HH has never been great, it always leaks and she complains that it doesn't feel "right" and basically I think I'm not stuffing it right. It is a pull-up pocket, whereas the CB is a side-snapping pocket. I think it's easier and more effective to stuff a snapping pocket. I have seen a one-side-snapping pocket, does anyone know if they're any good?

The other thing I'm thinking of, is finding a fitted bedwetter pant, and get a pair of longies to cover it. Does anyone have any experience with this kind of set-up, does it work for older kids?

I don't want to spend heaps of money - but at the moment we're back to using ..... :o :o sposie pull-ups   and they're over $1 each so I'm spending heaps of money as it is. *sigh* I don't mind chucking a cloth pull-up into the wash with the nappies, but I hate having to wash sheets every day. So I really need a solution that really really works.

Any idea's, fellow clothies?

How big are you looking at? My dd1 who is 8 starting bedwetting again (despite very early TT) almost 1 yr ago. We started off with disposable pullups as I had no idea you could get cloth big enough.

I got the biggest Motherease Bedwetter pants from Nuture Nappies. I'm not sure she advertises them on her site, but I queried and she ordered them for me. Dd1 just fits them (27kg).

They are just a pullup style, with terry inner. The work really well. We've had a few times when they've leaked out the sides, I think because she hasn't had them on properly. They are starting to leave marks on her hips due to the sides cutting in a bit. We just stuff 2 of my cloth pads in the sides which does the trick!

It makes dd1 happy to use them as she really hated waking up to a wet bed. It made me happy because I wasn't waking up to change a wet bed!

We are having Osteopath work done (the past couple of mths) to see if that may help. We're also going to go see a Child health service that help with bedwetting.

eta: some wahms also make bigger nappies. If you put the word out there may be some on BH, or even check on Nappycino.

Thanks Grem :) Yeah I forgot to put in my original post - she's 26kgs. She's never been night-dry, I'm not concerned about it medically (yet) but the cost of sposie pull-ups is really really getting to me. And also the fact that they come in a pack of 13  I get paid fortnightly!!

Ditto. I hated with a passion having to put the disposables in the trolley each week. Plus I found they stank once wet. And once dd1 had one on wherever she walked all you could hear was the pullup crinkling, argh!

Dd1 is extremely happy, and we're full of praise, as she's had 8 out of the past 9 nights dry:smiliedance: . Sometimes though she can wet every night despite having the same routine as usual. Very frustrating, for us and her. Hoping she keeps up being dry and we can soon say goodbye to the pullups:fingerscrossed:
