hey - none of my friends have kids! Sorry except my best friend is due with her first in July 07.
I have 1 lil girl 18mths and am due with #2 on 31 August 07
I work 4 days per week and was very career-focused b4 having kids. Have finished my degree in Communications etc. Found it a big culture shock! But loving it as well :):wizard:It was a transformation - a new identity!

hey - how exciting. I loved my wedding - was such a great day, everything went so smoothly. Was pretty too without being too expensive! Are you going with a theme/colours etc?

I LOVE Anne of Green Gables!!! WOW!!! I even had the theme as I walked down the aisle at my wedding.
Go Anne!!
I'm 26 too - no friends with kids - they just don't get it!! In fact, they go out now without even asking me :( I'd at least like the opportunity of saying no!!
I have a 4.5 month old, Caitlin and have been married for 3.5 years.

I'm 21, and have a little boy, Kai, who will be one this Sunday- Mothers day :)
I found out this week I am pregnant with baby #2 and we are really excited (as in my other half and I lol) but yeah, none of my friends have kids, and are more interested in clubbing etc then anything in my life...lol... and I know another bub is gonna make it even more "isolating" so to speak. I wouldn't change it for the world, but I do miss being "me" if that makes sense... sometimes, anyway...
I work part time now, was working 65 hour weeks for the past three months... phew that sucked lol... but the new job is good. It would be nice to chat to people that know what i mean when I say I'm buggered coz Kai is cutting five teeth at once, rather than having friends looking at me blankly, like..mhmm thats nice...
Boy do I babble...lmao

hi all
i am a dad (duh) that has the same problem. majority of friends dont have kids, and dont want them soon, so they dont understand why i would stay with the kids, and not go out.

Hi All!
Just read the thread!
my freinds all ditched me too.... they didn't mean it, just we had less and less in common. doesn't help i live just out of a capital city so most of my friends move there, so even the ones who stuck around, cant come round for a cuppa or anything like that!
i joined a mums group when my first was 18months, at first they were all so much older then me and i felt soo uncomfortable, but now my little man is almost 3 and i have a 6 month old daughter and they all seemed to change there attitudes after she was born!! has any one else found this??
Sorry for waffling on and on and on....:ecomcity:
Hi, my name is Caitlin and I'm 24 and live in south west sydney with my 2 girls, elora is 2 and a half and Natalia is 5 months and I am BORED.
My partner is away at the moment so i'm lonley too. I don't really have many friends here so anyone up for a chat.
Gypsy24, I am also planning a wedding at he moment, when is your big day?
Mine is on Sept 29 this year, I think thats spring, the seasons here confuse me, I'm used to wet and dry seasion in Darwin.
We are having a sort of informal wedding which suits me more, i'm not the tradtional type.
We have been engaged for years now and never had an engagement party. We only just decided a few weeks ago that we were going to have the wedding this year. We were wanted to buy a house first but decided just to get married as my nan and pop are getting old and sick and it would mean allot to me for them to come.
Where in Sydney do you live?
