A quick and easy scone recipe, using lemonade.
It's all in the ingredients. Just three of them - lemonade, cream and flour.
How to make your lemonade scones.
Ingredients:
1 cup of lemonade
1 cup of cream
3 cups of self-raising flour
Preheat oven to very hot 220C.
Add lemonade and cream to flour, mix to form soft dough, then place mixture on floured surface.
Knead dough to a 2 cm thickness and cut with a floured cutter.
Place close together on tray, brush with whisked egg and bake for 10 - 15 minutes

Haven't you made those scones yet??! You've been craving them for aaaages!! :p
You can just use your regular recipe, but replace the liquid part of it with half lemonade and half cream..... well, that's what I've been told! Haven't tried it yet!
Ypu can also use diet lemonade and diet cream too....

i worked at a cafe where we made at least 2doz of these evry morning. normally doz of sultana and doz of date.
add a pinch of salt to the flour, it makes them taste much better.
if you like savoury scones use soda water instead of lemonade.
for the adventurous use the different mineral waters (like lime, orange, lemon) for somthing different.
there are heaps of alternatives... all just trial and error.
happy baking:chef:
