I just got back from IGA and was grabbing some stuff from the baby food section and saw Organic Baby Tea from 2 weeks old...comes in little tea bag form?

Anyone used this...what exactly is the benefit to a baby especially one that could be 2 weeks old?:confused:

I was in an absolute rush and didn't read the packet...I'll have to have a proper look next time without a 2 year old pulling at my pants!!!

ps they were on the same shelf as the baby food and baby poppers

I bought some of it last week;

It's Holle Organic Baby Tea
It contains Fennel 40%, Aniseed 30%, Caraway 20%, Camomile 10%

Phoenix doesn't like it but I do!!! :p

I wouldn't have given it to Phoenix at 2 weeks (hell, probably not even 4 months!) but it says

Holle Organic Baby Tea is suitable for babies as of 2 weeks of age. The carefully chosen herbs have a settling and relaxing effect and the tea is tasty and pleasant. Older children can also benefit from Holle Organic Baby Tea.

I should have drunk gallons of it when Louie was a babe, might have come thru in my milk and helped to settle him.

Yeah it probably helps to calm them as well as soothe their bellies !

Certain herbs etc can help with digestion so it would help with wind etc !

My mother told me she gave me camomile tea from a few months old. She said it calmed me down and it calms upset tummies.

we gave jarrah tea when he had bad wind and colic. we had peppermint and chammolile, but he only got a teaspoon or so. i reckon it helped.

wow, I never knew you could give babies that young these types of things.

Making a mental note for when no. 2 finally comes along one day.
