Love all the photo's it is so nice seeing all the little ones and how fast they are all growing. I will download some this week and post them. They are all on the camera, must get them off!
to give you eastern states girls more of an idea on land in perth - we have a block in mandurah on the market (family trust), for $440 000, and its 350 sqm. Its just so hard for first home buyers over here now....
Wow Perth is almost as bad as Sydney!
Can I ask how much tummy time everyone is giving bubs? Especially those mums with 2 children!
I have been so slack and poor Chloe hardly gets any for the same reason as Shezi she will be killed with kindness fom the other two!!
Nice one!! :thumbsup::devil6:
ETA: Can anyone reommend a good quality but not toooo expensive digital camera,
We have a great but expensive Cannon. So last year I bought a Fuji finepix as I wanted one for my handbag so I would always have a camera with me. It was around the $270 mark and is fantastic. The photos are so good its 6megapixels with a huge 3inch screen on the back and its really light and small. I have used it to death and would highly recommend it. Love it love it!
Sarah - sorry to hear about your horrible day. I would recommend our photographer but I dont think she would go out as far as you guys. If you are desperate I can pm you her number just in case.
How is O's mouth? better I hope.
Shezi - how is D today? feeling better?
So bad cannot remember any other posts though I know I had more to reply to SORRY!!
We had a weekend full of people. On friday night we had a few friends drop over and before I knew it we had nine people around the dinner table. Thank god for takeaway as I had nothing to cook for the all!! Luckily I had picked up a case of wine that afternoon Ha! Then on Sunday I had the inlaws and BIL and SIL over for lunch. It actually turned out to be a nice day with them all! So today we are having a quiet one at home. We might go for a walk this afternoon when the girls get antsy.

Hi Girls,
Sorry I haven't been on for ages but time just seems to be flying by. I will be reading back on all the posts hopefully later today.
Sydney Girls - sorry you have all probably discussed this many times while I have been away but are we still meeting up on Wednesday?
If so can someone PM me the time and place? If we aren't meeting in the city I might not be able to make it as i don't think I can get the car on wednesday as DH needs it for work (company car is being used by someone else at the moment.) So I have to get the train in....
Got to fly but have missed chatting to you all heaps and hope everyone is healthy and happy especially those gorgeous bubbas!

Sounds like we have the same camera - I have mine for my handbag or rather nappy bag these days and we also have the fujifilm finepix S5500
Big camera which we bought when I first got pregnant.
I love them both and have never had a problem - love the photos they take too. My parents bought a really good Canon and are just going through the warranty now cause its stuffed and not even a year old.
All of you girls catching up and I'm stuck way up here all by myself :(

Hi girls,
I have three days of posts to catch up on so shall endeavour to sometime today.
Having a bit of a meltdown today. Leah has been unsettled since Saturday and I just dont know what to do with her anymore. She hasn't slept since 5am this morning and is now off and on crying in the cot. She just keeps fighting it and Im worn out as shes waking twice a night and not really going back to sleep for two hour each time. What do you do when you are all out of ideas?
Sams also worked out he can open his bedroom door now so hes up and running up and down the hall till about 10.30pm when it ends in a battle of wills.
DH is being HOPELESS. Tells me he hasn't bonded with Leah because he isn't that involved. Perhaps when shes awake for two hours in the night he could try to become more involved and help me settle her. What an idea that would be. Then he has the nerve to wake up grumpy because hes tired because he was woken in teh night!
Ok, enough b*tching. Going to make a cup of tea and catch up.
Hope everyone is having a better day than I am.:o

Anna....aww hun you must be feeling like sh!t hun and whats the go with your old man LOL he needs to get in there and change some dirty nappies, get puked up on a couple of hundred times and rock a screaming emotionally drained Leah to sleep for about 5 or 6 hrs:laughing:
That will help speed up the bonding process hahaha
Gemma, thanks for the offer of your photographer am going to try and find some one local:hugs:

Ok, 5 pages of catchup.......I'll be here all day to read them all LOL.
Plus some d*ckhead across the road is banging and hammering just as my little lass had FINALLY gone to sleep for the first time today.
Leah is in her first 000 outfit today. Its swimming on her but her feet are getting too big for the 0000's.
Really really trying to ditch the dummy. Leah will not sleep if she spits it out and that can go on for hours......literally. In fact I think thats what I can attribute her being a bad sleeper to.
Had to wash the bassinet today. She puked all through it yesterday. YUM.
Dont even get me started on teh DH thing. Not sure some days whos supposed to be the 2 year old
Frangi, No meet this Wed. LT is away. We are going to meet at teh babies expo when ever that is.
Carrie, sounds like you've had a morning not too dissimilar to me. :hugs:
Taryn, gorgous photos of your kidlets. Isn't Jacey looking so grown up suddenly. Logan is a real cutie too.
Tell me your trick for getting Jacey to sleep so long! Do you drug the breastmilk? LOL.
Tummy time.......hmm.... maybe 5 minutes every 2 days. Tummy time doesn't rate highly on my current list of priorities.
Sarah, Sam has sometimes decided against napping lately but Im very insistant. Sorry to hear hes started skipping his. I second the quiet time introduction.
Congrats on teh new furniture.
Sounds like a real crappy day you had. Sorry for that. Id recommend our photographer but shes not planning on doing anymore for about a month or more until she catched up on backlog and admin.
Firsttime, beautiful photos! Lvoe the family one especially.
LL, congratulations on the feeding!!! Thats a fantastic big milestone! :hugs:
BG, kes looks adorable.
Shezi, M sounds like a little sweetie. LOL.
Edited : Lana whats Ngala?
Emma, no I haven't tried that. Shes not a fan of her tummy but lies on her side where I pat her bum but its not helping much the past few days.
thanks for the thoughts girls.

Anna - Ngala is a thing we have over here where you can book in and they specialise in sleep problems etc.. You can stay there for a day and night and they will help you get your baby into a sleep pattern etc...
Taryn - The pics are beautiful!! I agree, Jacey looks so grown up lol! Logan is soo cute! I love his flower lol!
Sheree just dropped your cast at ur sisters place.. she is literally only 5 mins from my house, if that!! Hope you like it when u get to see it!

Annsam, sorry to hear about Leah and her sleeping!! I dont know how I got so lucky - I certainly didnt last time with Logan! Although I hear you in regards to the dummy!! Day sleeps is where we have issues with it falling out. Night time doesnt bother her. We bath her about 6pm, last feed straight after and bed at 7pm, although last night she didnt go to sleep until 8.30pm!! After fussing on the boob after her bath and not getting much I put her down but then I had to feed her again at 8pm where she done a poo and she settled straight away. So I think her fussing at the boob was her with a tummy pain and trying to poo. Just hang in there, hopefully she will improve. Each day I think about not giving her the dummy but she is set on it now. As soon as I wrap her she's looking for it. She has only had an hours nap this morning and DS woke her cause he was chucking a tanty as he wanted HIS dummy!! Needless to say that is going to go shortly. He has only ever had it for bedtime and wanting it during the day is a no no for me. Anyway she has been asleep now for nearly an hour so I hope she manages to put herself back to sleep as 45min is her sleep cycle usually.
I'm still stressing that things could change though cause Logan went from waking twice per night to about 6 times when he hit 12 weeks!! That was terrible, although it was such a great diet for me - all of that extra waking during the night and countless pacing of the hallway with him in my arms, I lost heaps of weight!! But Jacey seems so different so I hope she continues. I dont want to go anywhere for a weekend or something incase it disrupts her sleeping pattern  as this has happened to some friends of mine!
Just baked a heap of quiches with vegies in them!! Trying to hide them in there so DS will eat them :p

Lana you duffer, gave me a good laugh though! :p
I love those pillow cases, I want the one where he is blowing kisses, very sweet! We even sleep the right way around (him on my right) for it to work!
Anna you poor thing! I wish I had some advice, but I think most of my ideas involve the luxury of Kes being my only baby. :hugs: I hope you and Leah get it sorted soon, and that it's just a growth spurt or something.
Sarah-very chic cards there, shame I don't have anyone to give them to!
Carrie- I hope you're having a great day now, no idea about the warnings sorry, I've only ever got one for being insulting, LOL, well that's what they said, I think I was just being a b!tch, LOL
Kes has started getting really excited when I put him down to change his nappy. He knows that he is about to get nakey, and that I'll be right above him talking I think. Starts smiling the second he hits the mat, and is very ticklish at that time! I've also discovered that he love a leg massage, coos and giggles the whole time! Last night I gave his bottom a little rub after rubbing his legs and he lifted it right off the mat (like a yoga pose) and smile like he wanted more! I guess he gets a sore botty lying in his bassinet so the rub must have felt pretty good, LOL Amazing how strong those little legs are, he held himself up for at least 20 seconds!
Oops, sorry for the proud Mum gush, I got carried away!

Anna, I hope you can find something to settle Leah soon. I have no ideas sorry! Best of luck and thinking of you!
Lana, the pillow cases are so cute! I was going to ask for suggestions on what to get DH for our 1st wedding anniversary - I so don't know what to get, what has other couples done to celebrate?
Taryn, gorgeous pics! I too am having trouble with photobucket, but I think it's 'cause my laptop is soooo slow! I can't wait to show you all pics of Madi!
Firsttime, the pics are so cute of Alexander, very beautiful family indeed!
Well not much to report, Madi has decided she doesn't need to drink more then 30ml at each feed again today, but is happily sleeping heaps - go figure! I am getting very concerned with her not drinking enough, does anyone know what bottle feed babies at 7 and 1/2 weeks daily quota should be - is it 500ml or something like that?

Hi Girls,
Taryn, Your two little ones are sooo cute! Awww Jacey is just growing up sooo quick, just like Chelsea and Logan is just the most adorable little boy! You should be a very proud mummy... they are beautiful children!~!! I bet you are proud as punch anyway hehe
Carrie - Why do you keep getting warnings love? What you doing wrong??
Sounds like a few of you gals could be getting a few more hours sleep during the night. I'm kind of having the same problem. Craig works shifts, so one week he's on days and the next week he is on arvo's/nights. It's hard to get into a pattern/routine because if I want/need any help from him when he IS home and AWAKE - I have to work myself and Chelsea into his routine. Very difficult. I was up till 3am this morning because I am trying to adapt to his shift this week of afternoons.. grrrr.
He ended up calling in sick today anyway and we have a doctors appointment at 4.30pm - so very shortly. My right eye is all puffed up and red and yucky! It's sore as too! Not sure what the problem is but I will get the doctor to look at that today as well. Ontop of Craig being unwell, and my eye killing me, Chelsea is really sniffly and snuffly today! She's having trouble getting any air through her nose and when she's screaming for the dummy, she gets frustrated when it's in because she can't breath properly and spits it out again and it's just a vicious circle because then she wants it back again so starts screaming and getting restless. Grrrrr....
Anna - you've been a busy little chickadee, havent you!! Geez, I am really feeling for you love :hugs: Not sure if I can offer any advice apart from just trying to hang in there and trying to remember that it won't last forever, although it must be starting to feel like it's been forever already! You'll make it through love.. I hope things begin looking up for you & Leah really really soon.
Chelsea doesn't get much tummy time either. We're persevering a little more of late though. SHe has about 5-7 mins a day on her tummy, with us laying next to her playmat on the floor, encouraging her and cheering her on. The she has about another 20-30 mins on her back, looking at the play toys that hang!!
Gotta go and get ready for the doc..
Cya later ladies!!! xxxx

Gee, it's soooo quiet in here tonight - what's going on???
I am hoping that all the little ones are sleeping so that their busy mummy's are/and can be getting some much needed Zzzz's as well!
Chelsea is sleeping in her cot in the nursery. YAY!!! I put the Tomy Starlight Dreamshow thing up on the side of her cot tonight. It meant that she had to lay on her back though to see the pics turning around on the ceiling ... she doesn't like it on her back - so of course this didn't last for long... LOL Had to go in and turn her on her side. THEN she fell asleep. I think that was about an hour ago. I wonder how long she will sleep for tonight? I plan on being up for a fair while longer yet as I have so much that I need to get done !~
That reminds me - I still haven't short sheeted the cot yet? Who else has/hasn't done this already and who is not bothering to do it....?? I do plan on doing it in the very near future. eg this week sometime!
Went okay at the doctors as well. I just got some drops for my eye. She said it was a Sty coming up. It's much more puffier now than it was earlier... and much sorer. I think I'd better get Craig to put another lot of drops in before he goes to bed.
It's funny, when Craig is caring for Chelsea for a bit, I sometimes wonder if he stops and thinks how hard it actually is to care for a lil one. I sometimes hear him saying things like "Awww, what's wrong.. you've been restless for hours and you should be sleeping by now..." and "**** this is hard!" LOL I wonder what it'll be like on our first Mother's Day... I know he appreciates how I care for Chelsea but is only just realising how much effort goes into it.. I just hope that I hear him say "Your a GREAT Mummy & Chelsea is SOOOOOO lucky!" I'd love to hear him say that!

Scoob, Sarah and Sheree - I have PM'd you all the link for that site...
Griffin is still in his bassinet so i havent needed to short sheet the cot. Even when he does go into it though i wont because i prefer to use the sleeping bags instead. I just feel more at ease using them.

Hi Girls.. I put my hand up too for ********* Dp's .. Dont worry my Dp is just the same, cant be stuffed with bubs sometimes, complains he is tired. He love him to bits, and has cuddles etc, but when it comes to nappies, watching etc - its the good old sigh... ok then. LOL! Men!
I try and explain why i am tired, bubs, washung, cleaning, nappies, laundry, more laundry, making lunch, dinner, bubs, bubs bubs... he just sits there and trys to justify it.
:hugs:'s Anna and CarrieB, i too have had that prob with Antonio... i cant give any tips except.. a punching bag? Perhaps.LOL.. Antonio just seemed to "grow" out of the unsettled phase, i didn't do anything special except lose my mind... that was when i was getting annoyed at him etc. All i can say is breath! Oh and yes Dp was just as helpful as yours, about as helpful as a blunt knife is to cut cheese..
I do feel for you both tho.
Antonio has his first jabs tommorow.. He is going to hate me after that . I hope it doesnt hurt him too much.
Do they inject his arm? or is it somewhere else on a baby, just wondering what to dress him in, to save too much faffing around??
Thanks for the camera tips too, will have a look see tommorow.
I got some TT bottles today with a cross instead of hole in the teat.. OMG could it take any friggen longer to feed bubs... what normally takes 20/30 mins took a friggen hour.. sure he less wind like the bottle said, but thats coz he had to suck like a friggen mad man to get any out.. what a stupid design! . (Ministry of **** design perhaps?).
Anyhoo better go to bed up early for Dr's.
Goodnight all xoxox

Hey AD :hugs: on the DH front... Men just dont get it do they! Glad to hear that Antonio has grown out of his problem times.
Re the injections, they do it in the legs for babies. One in each leg. Good luck with it!
Re the teats, those ones do take longer because rather than flowing at a set pace it only comes out as fast as baby sucks...

Aww Scoob :hugs: ...That is better then my sisters eye. She apparently either has a viral infection or chlamydia, yes that's right chlmydia in the eye :barf: . She asked the doctor how on earth did she get it in the eye and he said you'll have to work that one out for yourself  ...So whatever it is, she ain't hugging cooper for a while :shame: .
Morning!
Not much happening here, I am trying to upload some pics of Madi for you all to see, photobucket is so slow but hopefully I will get it done today!
Scoobs, hope your eye is better soon! Craig sounds so sweet, I am sure he will appreciate you this Mother's Day.
Madi is been a monkey again and will not sleep in her cradle, she wants to sleep in my bed all day. She is asleep in the bed now and it looks so funny, a tiny little bubba in a big bed! hehe
AD, hope Antonio goes ok with his needles. Are you giving him panadol half hour before?
Q - when can you give bubs a little bit of farrax (sp?), I know the box says 6 months but has anyone given it to bubs earlier then this. I know my mum gave it to us at about 3 months, just a 1/4 teaspoon of it.

Nic~ I started O on a lil bit of farrex and bm at about 4 and a half months coz he was such a HUGE guts lol and never stopped pestering me for boobie (much like his father LOL TMI  )
Ok finally got around to getting the info for that Montessori preschool and um i dont think we can afford it:thumbsdown:
heres how much they want:
An Enrolment listing fee~ $300 this is just to get your kid on the waiting list
You do get half of that back once they give you a position.
Membership fee~ $33 this is so you have access to their council run meetings or some such thing
thats per year
Enrolment deposit~ $870 its refunded after your child completes the whole three year program, if you pull them out for some reason (move house or whatever) its not refundable
School Building fee~ $130 per term (4terms a year)
Tuition fees~ $1203.75 per term (4 terms per year)
So basically it would cost us $122.30 per week and thats for 3hrs a day mon-fri a total of 15 hours until his 5 and then he would attend 9-2.30
We just cant do it, its a great preschool and O would learn so much there AND if we had the $$$ i would do it BUT unfortunately it aint gonna happen.
Im buggered already done so much housework since dropping O at day care (where we pay less then $30 a day LOL)
feels good though to finally get things looking spic and span:D

i was asking a friend the same thing, she gave it to her girls at 4 months.
my friend and her baby girl Isabel (6 weeks older than H) are coming over today. we're going to walk down the shops with the prams and have lunch. love that part of being a housewife!!
DH put in his resignation yesterday, he is already applying for jobs but doesnt want to start til july. last day is june 15.
can someone please explain to my son that his mummy is not a morning person? lol. 5.30 wakeup is not on! put him in my bed for cuddles and my 8/9kg cat stood on him!!! (not on purpose, i dont think he even realises H exists. except when he cries...)

Yep i cried too... hated seeing him like that :gloomy:.
Didn't know about the panadol 30mins before.. dammit.. thx for the tip tho :hugs:

She asked the doctor how on earth did she get it in the eye and he said you'll have to work that one out for yourself ...So whatever it is, she ain't hugging cooper for a while .
Emma - wow that is strange!!
Scoob - hope your eye is better today!
Not much to report here girls..just have been really busy with work and our little man...he is being very unsettled today and I have loads of work to do. It is very frustrating as I know he wants my attention but I have deadlines to meet. I guess I'll just have to do it tonight when DH gets home and can mind him.
Hope your all ok and :hugs: better fly!

sarah.. crazy prices for the montessori school isnt it! we we're looking at $700 or $800 a term for 3yr olds but all the other prices were very similar. its pretty bad imo. we decided against it coz when A is in kindy, D will be preschool & M will be yr 2. and i want more.. too much money on school fees. i guess it'd be different if we only had one..
thanx for the link lana! sarah love the pram seat thingy.. is that one what goes in the car too? looks fab. love the pink colour!
well girls my sis is bringing my cast over tomorrow so will be posting a pic around lunch time! way too hard while she's here lol.. her 2yr old twins come too! full on household! but fun :D
im also getting the photos back tomorrow.. photographer is dropping them off just after 9! i cant wait!
AD needles arent fun are they.. i remember going with my sis for her twins 4monthold needles.. now my sister rarely gets upset but i saw her break that day.. it was so sad.. because they were both crying and just wanted her. and at that age they still need full body support so holding 2 at once is challenging at the best of times let alone in the drs surgery!
i dont like the girls getting needles but its out of necessity imo. and they're over quickly.. actually come to think of it.. theres patches you can buy that you put on bubs leg prior to needles.. numbs the area.. cant remember what they're called but might be something to look into for next time.
re solids.. M started with rice cereal at 4months and hated it.. she went straight onto fruits & custards & gels and never looked back. D on the other hand hated solids.. she wasnt taking them properly till 7 or 8months and even then used to gag unless it was smooth lol weird child! i think she was 10 or 11months before she'd eat properly and hated sweet things.. she loved meat & vegies tho. which made me feel SO sick coz i was still getting morning sickness when she was eating mushy food!
sorry back to needles.. can someone explain why some bubs are having 3 needles? i thought that all stopped now? A only had 2.
emma love the drs answer to your sis's Q! lmao!
im with lana.. no short sheeting over here coz we dont use sheets.. even now i've only just started using danielahs cot quilt as well as a blanket.. still on sheets tho. paranoid mumma over here! hehe. and chris heard about the grobags on the radio so he's all for them now. we're going to buy A & D one.

Hey!
I thought there was like 1 page to catch up since my vent very early monday morning but no, I realised then that the thread was closed lol.
Went to my grandparents' yesterday for dad's b'day (today) & had a yummy lunch - bbq salmon, baked potatos in butter & garlic & parsely, crusty bread, salad and gorgeous dressing! It is so sad that my grandparents are so sick ... they have been so depressed and been mainly talking about funerals & writing ulogies! They don't talk to me about that obviously or around us grandkids about that but my aunty was telling me. They should just live the time they have left & not live to die ... if you know what I mean? Ella has been a ray of sunshine for them though.
I got a gorgeous cushion my grandma made me for my birthday and Ella got a cd with personalised nursery rhymes from my aunty - fab! I will take photos to show you!
Got some wonderful smiling pics too so will have to put them on photobucket in Ella's album!
Ella was good last night & kept falling straight back to sleep! Makes a difference hey. She didn't even winge for her dummY!
Anna - Ella will hold onto her dummy for the majority of day time sleeps but at night time keeps dropping it - I still think it's on purpose! Lol. Some days she refuses it ... go figure ...
JAIMIE - Where are you? I will pm you about meet & hope u can come!
Ok gonna go now - will take the pics & start uploading new photos. I'm gonna put some to cd tonight or tomorrow to take & get printed as haven't had any printed of Ella yet! Or of anything for like 2 yrs cos I just keep them on the computer! Gonna start E's scrapbook on weekend at Haylie's so can't wait!
Have a good afternoon!
PS - Gotta laugh - E woke before & gave her a bottle at the computer chair reading posts & I felt it dripping on my arm then discovered there was formula all over the floor! My girl is a grot! Lol.
That reminds me - M2B - 500ml?! No Way! Lol. E drinks 180ml ...

Harper only had two needles.
grobags - i have a friend who works at the supplier so i just got the bright stripe one which can be used with his car seat etc for $45 :D i also have another one i got off ebay (brand new in pack) for about $40. i think they are usually $60-70...
Harper is still in his bassinette but i am going to try to put him in the cot this week. i have made it "short-sheeted" but yeh, i think i will just use the grobags.
ok time for the bum change and feed then i'm going to pick up my Inky Feet tiles (will post a photo later or tomorrow)

I tried Amity on it at 4 months and she hated it.. We stopped and went straight to custards and pureed meats at 5 months.

Hmmm.. over here they only give 2 needles now... they have combined the top 2 and then give the 3rd one separately.. I thought it was like that in all states.. weird.

Shez - Lol im nervous about you receiving ur cast tomorrow! Worried you wont like it in person!
Carrie - That Labour Day 2 pic of Ella is absolutely GORGEOUS!! What a little stunner you have there!
Sarah - WOW! I didnt realise just how expensive the Montessori schools were! Is it the same for the Steiner schools too (probably hey)
I just got back from doing a big food shop... just need to plug in our new fridge now cos it wont all fit in the old one lol!
Amity is in day care today (thank god) she was in the WORST mood yesterday... Im not really sure how i coped! I didnt get out of my pjs all day yesterday though lol! (that always helps!)

 Thats classic!! I know of another great website for kids to use... Once in it, they can hit ANY key on the keyboard (other than the windows one) and it will do something! Let me know if you want it!! Great for big and little kids lol!
One of the girls from my group just emailed me. She is wanting to write a letter to her Ob to try and make him aware of the advantages of informing pregnant women about PND and telling people who have previously sufffered from depression about the chances of developing it. When she asked him about it (having sufferend from depression before) he said “post natal depression doesn’t really exist, it’s just a term they give to the phase following childbirth, which should really be referred to as adjustment to parenthood”. It resulted in her taking alot longer to seek help for it. She doesnt want other new mums to go through that.
Her main goal is to make HER Ob aware but she is also hoping to do a massive mail out or something along those lines to make ALL Obs aware of how important it is to acknowledge that it DOES happen. So... she has asked some of us from group to think about writing up our story so that she can have real backup from other mums... If ANYONE wants to be a part of it, please let me know!
OK, now that i have bored you all to death i am going to go and clean my fridge! :D

M2B - sorry bout the text today, I hit reply all on my new phone! My poor single ( and childless) male mates were wondering why i invited them on a pram walk!!! Are you going tomorrow?
LL- did you ge the email with the photo site? What did you think of it? I have been editing my photos after the 5am feed when I actually have time to myself. It is just so conveniant.
Does anyone have an electronic swing? Does your baby settle in it? I'm considering one because ella likes to be rocked but heard some babies hate it, so before I spend $200 thought I'd ask.
Also does anyone use nappies other than huggies and are they any good?
thanks lovelies,

Hey all, thank you for the photos of your beautiful babies; I've been reading posts, but haven't had a hand free very often to type in the last few days!
Kes has decided that his Mum's lap is 'the' place to be... and that sleep is overrated! :o He lies on me and gazes around, super cute, but tricky! He generally has only day slept lying on my tummy too. Mum offered to hold him for a minute yesterday but after a few seconds he got so upset he went slightly purple and started gagging! :( Couldn't stand it so I picked him straight up and he went to sleep instantly, but there were tears on his cheeks. :gloomy:
Anna-I hope things are looking up for you mate.
LL-great news on the feeding by the way, sorry I didn't reply earlier, you must be totally stoked!
Looking forward to you all keeping me entertained for the rest of the evening (once he wakes, DH actually got him to sleep while I was typing!!!), but may not reply again for a bit, we'll see how he goes.

Yes the electric swings...They are really good. I put Cooper in his especially in the morning in our room when he's restless and it allows me to get a few more hours sleep.
I've been looking after my little 3yr old niece today as she and my sister are stay with mr till Friday. She is a little Brat lol...she can be so cute and then totally turn around and be a cow. Friday can't come soon enough. She gpt into Cooper's nappy (huggies) and destroyed most of them and sucked on his bottles so I had to sterilise them. And she won't go to sleep till about 11pm-12am. She's still awak now. She's on a high all day as she just eats junk. My sister lets her get away with blue murder.
She'll make a hugh mess and I'll have to clean it up. Oh well.
anyway I better go and do my nails. Shopping tomorrow. :smiliedance:
Carrie is it alright if i bring my sister (not the cow) to the brissy meetup as she can drive me and it'll be alot easier?

Dont let one bad night stop you from going out at all!! Remember, practice makes perfect!
LL - I LOVE that pic of Harper! The one with his big blue eyes! ANd the ink tile is gorgeous!
KirstyE - I use Huggies for both kids BUT Baby Love have just re-designed their nappies and apparently they arent too bad (i have used the old ones and even those are pretty good!). Maybe just buy a small pack and see what you think...
WELL, after not pooing for 6 or 7 days Griffin FINALLY let it all out this arvo! I was having washing on the airer and walked back into the lounge room to this horrible stench. When i picked him up out of his rocker i saw that he had pood and it was leaking out of his nappy and onto his clothes! Undid his clothes and OMG it was everywhere! All down his leg right to his heel. Had to quickly give him a bath before i went and got Amity lol. Cheeky little bugger just smiled at me the whole time. He obviously felt heaps better!
ETA: Aaaaah.... Griffin is fast asleep and i am enjoying my first full alcoholic drink... Go Stella Artois!
Hey!
Kirsty, that's ok, thought you may have made a mistake by sending it to me! Yes I am still coming tomorrow, so is Carrie - we may be a little late as Carrie has a fair way to drive and it takes me hours to leave the house these days. Also, Madi has an electric swing but only lasts in it for 15 minutes then starts crying. You are welcome to come over and try Ella out in it - try before you buy one.
Caithi, the invites are so gorgeous! Thanks for showing us! I love the pics of Nai Nai too! so cute! That is awesome that she sleeps so well, huge congratulations - can Nai talk to Madi about sleeping?!
Kirsty, check out Nappyland - cheap nappies if you are wanting to cut costs! I also heard babylove brand is good. I use Huggies for Madi, but she goes through sooooo many I may need to cut costs too.
Emma, yeah that will be great if you bring your sis along. Can't wait to finally meet you and Cooper.
I have the tile man here cleaning our floor tiles as they were marked so bad and stained when we moved in, it is going to take half a day so we are stuck in the bedroom - already bored!
Madi is going to spend the night at my mum's house this Saturday night, first night apart from each other - I don't know if I will be able to cope leaving her overnight. But I suppose it will get me ready for leaving her when I go back to work in August....

Hi all,
Trying to get a post in before Callum starts screaming for the next feed lol!
Carrie/LL - great pics of Ella & Harper!
M2B- i'm leaving callum with my mum and dad on sat night too...not overnight though. I am really worried as that is his unsettled time and I'm worried how they will cope. He gets bad wind at that time and cries heaps so I hope they don't think he is playing up. I really dont want to leave him but we are going out to dinner to a nice restaurant and I dont think the people we are going with would like to eat with a crying baby!
Caithi - thanks for the offer of a lift. Not sure if I can make the baby expo as DH will be in China for 5 days and I will have Callum on my own during that time - I may just want to hide in a corner and cry somewhere:laughing: .
For those whose DH have to go away for work all the time how do you cope??? I have trouble just for the 10hrs a day that my DH is at work.

Sorry for such big post ladies!!!
Hi all,
For those whose DH have to go away for work all the time how do you cope??? I have trouble just for the 10hrs a day that my DH is at work.
Frangi- A mum I know down here has her husband gone on oil rigs for weeks at a time. She said it was hard but when he's home they get him all day for two weeks. I find it hard somedays with Danny at work, but have been meeting other mums each day for coffee etc from my mums group and bubhub. I cope so much better now. Even today i was supposed to meet them and Ella has jsut done a huge poo all over me, her and my new carpet. Two mums from my mums group have offered to bring me lunch and help me clean. I hope you have friends like this as it keeps me sane at the moment!
Hey!
Kirsty, that's ok, thought you may have made a mistake by sending it to me! Nic- thanks for the offer to try the swing, Can I take you up on it next week. DH needs all the help he can get while I'm out. He copes till she crys, then all I here is "where's mummy?"
also don't stress out leaving madi with your parents. I was stressing as I left ella with my parents so I could go to the shops alone (too hard to deal with her and organise boxes) and my parents had a ball! they were so excited that i trusted ella with them alone, and that they got to do things their way without me...not sure if that is good thign or bad thing yet?
KirstyE - I use Huggies for both kids BUT Baby Love have just re-designed their nappies and apparently they arent too bad (i have used the old ones and even those are pretty good!). Maybe just buy a small pack and see what you think...
ETA: Aaaaah.... Griffin is fast asleep and i am enjoying my first full alcoholic drink... Go Stella Artois!
E- I will try babylove this week, there are just so many brands that I don't know where to start. And Ella is going into infants soon and as they are dearer than other huggies thought I could try cheaper nappies during the day. thanks!
Oh and I am so jealous about the drink! My husband has a no alcohol rule in our house ATM as he training for an ironman and doesnt consider alcohol a good thing. I'm breastfeeding but as ella is starting to sleep through the night one drink would be lovely....
Yes the electric swings...They are really good. I put Cooper in his especially in the morning in our room when he's restless and it allows me to get a few more hours sleep.

Caithi- I love the invitations, I agree with Lana, definitely would look awesome framed
As for the night out, do you think it was just too much for him having her by himself? In some ways maybe it's good that he has had a chance to peek in to your world of motherhood eh? :devil6: Hopefully he feels more confident soon so you can have another night out, I'm sure it would be a fantastic break!
Lana- LOL, Griffin sounds too cute just smiling at you while he defiles the lounge! Is it common now for him to miss pooing for several days?
Kes only pooed around 3 times yesterday (usually way more) and one hit the nappy so fast it exploded straight out the leg holes, very funny, I was there and heard it, then saw it through his poor new outfit, hehe
Emma- good luck till Friday! It must be pretty full on having her around!
Just had pancakes for a late brekky, been wanting them for ages so very happy!

Afternoon girls.
Antonio seems to have recovered from his ordeal yesterday.
I forgot to mention after we took him to Dr's we went kitten shopping (already have my other baby buffy 8yr old) so a while ago we decided to get her a play mate. He is gorgeous, tabby and white. So calm, friendly and playful just like buffy was, but a little more spazzy. So we named him blinky as basically you blink one sec he is there and blink again and he has gone. LOL He moves that fast bounding around the house like a mad man.
Has brought many laughs to this house already.. which i think has been a great stress relief. Much needed let me tell you.
He slept between us all night and this morning decided he was fascinated by my eyelashes ROFL so kept whacking my eyes. (No claws out) too cute!
He is 1 week older than Antonio so they can grow up together.
So now i have 3 babies LOL 4 if you count DP .
Caithi can you pm me your massage dooby, thank you.
As for nappys im using huggies crawlers now, bigger size, better fit (6-11kg) Antonio is 6ish (well i assume as was 5.5 at last weigh in), i was using baby love but they always leaked wee for me(and that was with me changing at every feed or when he did a poo). Didn't bother with huggies infant again (tried them before baby love) seemed to small (4-8kg or something). Coz crawlers are bigger i find i don't have to change him as much at the mo while he is still the min size requirement for crawlers. So not using as many nappies per day. Why on earth don't huggies do all there nappies in the big bulk boxes?? Thats what i want to know. Biggest crawler pack was 90. Seems only new borns are in bulk. Weird. I think im not game enough to try any other brand now, as huggies seem the best to me. Shame there expensive tho.
BG - Pancakes.. awww gimme some please.
Must go someone is stirring for a feed.
Take care all xoxox
ETA: Forgot to say also that it would seem my bleeding has FINALLY stopped have had nothing for two days now..:fingerscrossed: it stays away.. going to be too paranoid to not wear a pad now tho LOL. Still on Antis so will keep taking them of course but its good to no longer see red.

ok have had an awful morning!
my mum is only home one day a week and i dont know what it is BUT O always in a sh!tty mood when shes home
we took him to tiny tots gymnastics and he loved it BUT refused to follow the teacher and other kids just wanted to do his own thang!
he just hates conforming!!!
Then my mum dropped me off at the library for story time and O just lost it when it was time to go
he was kicking, yelling carry on like a child possessed I was so :o i just wanted to escape!!!
Then he finally calms down enough for me to get him in the pram (thankgod for the phil and ted!)
i go to the chemist to pick up soem medicine for me and Iris starts, she was hysterical never heard her cry like that before
so i plonk myself down in the middle of the chemist LOL and whip out a boob and give her some (thankgoodness they had chairs in there)
I got a few death stares but i didnt give a damn at that point.
Then when id calmed her down O started again screaming at the top of his lungs like a crazed maniac
he has never had a tanty thta bad before it was unbelieveable
I just completely ignored him and walked home like i didnt have an almost three yr old screaming and crying like a baby
His in his room now (supposedly going to sleep) but i can hear him prowling around looking for something to destroy:eek:
i feel like:crying: but instead im eating chocolate
ok sorry vent over!

I'll climb up on the roof and frisbee you a pancake hey? :p Blinky sounds so cute! Antonio is going to love having a at that's the same age as him!
Sarah, :hugs:, the choccy sounds like a great idea (I polished of a block last night after having a bit of a sook at DH), much more fun than strangling O :D LOL
Just wanted to say a big thank you to all you March lovelies... things are a bit tough around here at the moment (wont go in to detail here in for privacy reasons, but just money and stuff) and it is so good to be able to pop in and read and share all the good and bad times with our babies. Hi girls,
Been a few days.
Leah has been very awake. She slept a while 30 minutes yesterday - I kid you not. I took Sam with a friend and her kids to Cotton Kids which is this inside play area thingy out this way which is absolutely awsome for the kiddies. Will definitely be a regular visitor there  . Anyway, they had mobiles hanging all over the roof and stuff everywhere so I think the colours etc were a bit stimulating for her.
Last night was a major milestone though, she fed to sleep at 8pm, then I didn't hear from her till jsut after 3am! She then wanted her dummy and kept dropping it for an hour but then slept through till 6.30am. Being woken once only makes mummy function much better.
Today we are doing better. I had her in the HAB all morning while I took Sam for a walk then I sat and patted her to sleep for an hour when Sam had his nap (which he'll be finished soon I would imagine) and shes still asleep. :fingerscrossed:
Told DH this mornign that the dummy is going and he has to support me in this by helping cook dinner and by spending the time to pat her down for the next few days until she forgets about ti. He agreed so hopefully we'll see the end of the dummy and better sleep as she was waking everytime she dropped it which was just disturbing her (and me) far too much. She ended up with practically no sleep and not a happy baby.
My cats gone missing too. :gloomy: Thats not so good.
Re solids, Sam started on them at 4.5 months but still had the tongue thrust thing going on till about 5months. Not planning to start Leah till 5 or 6 months.
Sarah, sorry you had such a crappy day. Sam did the same thing when I took him to gymbaroo last year. Sooo frustrating. The teacher could get him to do stuff but he wouldn't with me.
Gin, hope things look up for you hon.
Caithi, it does get easier to go out as they get older I agree.
Re the swing, borrowed one from a friend - leah hates it.
Beautiful photos girls and christening cards Caithi.
Leahs booked in for injections next Friday. I need a flu shot too. Not looking forward to the jabs. Think we'll get teh rotavirus one too so that will be 3 she gets poor darlin'.
Cant remember what else was written. Hope you are all having a nice day. Its just started raining here.

well we picked up our camry yesterday after it was fixed from when chris hit the dog.. had to pay a $500 excess through insurance but guess what.. still cant drive the damn thing! they only fixed the bumper.. not the engine.. i assumed they did it all.. so now we're down $500 this week and still have no car for chris to take to work. SO peeved. gotta get onto RAC and see what they can do.. whether we'll have to pay another excess to get it fixed properly or what. insurance is such a rip off.

Can any girls here who drive tell me how the hell you deal with people driving right up your *** with a baby in the car?? It used to p!ss me off before i had Antonio now it just makes my blood boil, not like you cant see him either seeing as we have a crappy old coupe. With a large low rear window. FFS! Baby on board sticker make a diff or do i have to just keep changing lanes so a$$holes get off my ***. Not like i don't do the speed limit either.
Ok vent over LOL!
Just brought some 3 piece sets from target - they have a sale on.. very cute! Cost around 24 each reduced from $37.
So i got a tracky set, brown with puppies, bears on the back of the jacket, (pants, jacket, long sleeve tee) and a jeans, jacket and long sleeve tee combo.
Also not sure if anyone has used these bottles, but i have been using and just brought more of the NUK Anti Colic bottles (they have a flatish teat) they are fantastic imo, cant recommend them enough. No spillage, easier to burp. Nice flow. I have no idea why i decided to buy the TT ones the other day... lol i think i just wanted to try something diff. Shopaholic.. ooopsie. There tall and thin too, so don't take up much space
Im trying to get Antonio to sleep in his cot, but not having much success and he is almost too big for his bassinett, any tips on how to transfer? I have a musical mobile but he only seems interested in this when he is "in the mood" otherwise he crys his bloody head off. Also have a pooh night light. I have tried putting him in when he is alseep already so he wakes up in the cot, is that wrong?

Hi all,
I havent caught up on the posts for a day or so. I will do later tonight though.
Just a quick question..
Has anyone had their/left their bubba's in anyone elses care for more than a couple of hours yet? Chelsea went to her Aunty Simone's last night (my cousin who came to every antenatal appointment with me and was there for the ultrasounds and the birth as well - along with Craig) while I went shopping and put a hair colour in at home. I got to relax like I havent been able to relax since I was about 5 months pregnant. I couldn't believe it. I cut my own hair, put the hair colour in (like I mentioned) & bought myself a new pair of jeans at shopping and I felt like a new woman. Chelsea was at my cousins from about 5pm to 11pm. I thought it would be really hard for me to let her go for that long, but I dealt with it remarkably well and got a heap of time for "ME" time. If you feel ready to have a break from your bubba and have smeone close by that you can really trust - then I highly recommend it! I won't be able to let her go again anytime within the next couple of weeks though because I missed her too much - I just have to have time to talk myself into having time for "ME" time again before I can actually do it LOL
Look forward to your replies...
Chat later

Aqua - we are using the new style NUK bottles. Chelsea was dribbling all over the place when we tried her on all the other ones after we came home from hospy.
We tried, Tommee Tippee (the old ones and the new design).. normal cheap ones, Target brand, the avent bottles, about 8 different types of teats.. wide neck bottles & the smaller ones, a couple of teats for each style of bottle, to try and get the right combination and had no success with any of them - except for the new NUK ones. They are 1000% better than any other ones we tried. Apparently the midwives said it was common for bubbas to slip and slop their milk out of bottles when feeding... especially Chels because her lips were so small and cute.
M2B - Don't panic about leaving ur bubba in your mum's care. Just make sure you fill your Mum in about Madi's wind. Let her know the techniques you use to help Madi through it. If you have wind drops.. make sure they are one of the first things you pack. Also let her know that you are only a phone call away, so if she needs anything, anything at all.. to just call. A little reassurance for BOTH of you (you and your Mum) can go a long way! Try to relax and enjoy your night love. You deserve it - a few hours off. I really hope you hve a great great great time! :hugs:
Shezi - your belly cast looks immaculate and UNREAL! Its soo awesome. What bit/bits did Lana help you with??

Hi Girls, Just a quickie as I am only half way thru catching up on 18 pages of posts .
We are going okay - just been super busy and Matthew and I have come down with a head cold these last few days :(.. Feel crappy but soldiering on.
Matt's poos are still coming - albeit with a few days inbetween. Off to see an Osteopath tomorrow and see what they say about little Matt. Can't wait .
I have almost made it back to my pre-preg weight (67kg) and am hoping to lose another 5kg too! Feeling good though and glad to be back at the gym. Its really hard to make the effort and go but I feel so much more energised when I have been that it is really worth it.
Anyway I'll be off to catch up on the posts..... sorry for the 'me' post.

Okay - I've done a skim so here we go....
Does anyone have an electronic swing? Does your baby settle in it? I'm considering one because ella likes to be rocked but heard some babies hate it, so before I spend $200 thought I'd ask.
Also does anyone use nappies other than huggies and are they any good?
Kirsty - I have bought a swing and it is great (sometims). Matthew seems to need to be in the mood and it did take a couple of days for him to get used to it. I got the portable F&P Rainforst one which retails for about $170ish but I got brand new on ebay for $99. Am really happy with it and take it with us when we visit friends/family and even on a picnic on Labour day. Just loving it and while it doesn't always work I reckon I have already got my moneys worth!
Re nappies I have tried a few different but just cannot go past Huggies.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to all you March lovelies... things are a bit tough around here at the moment (wont go in to detail here in for privacy reasons, but just money and stuff) and it is so good to be able to pop in and read and share all the good and bad times with our babies. Gin - :hugs: :hugs: I hope things get a bit easier. This is certainly a tough time in general without other external pressures (we also have lots of other stresses at the moment and just try to take each day as it comes and keep our chin above water). Glad we can be of some help and I agree wholeheartedly with you!
My cats gone missing too. Thats not so good.
Leahs booked in for injections next Friday. I need a flu shot too. Not looking forward to the jabs. Think we'll get teh rotavirus one too so that will be 3 she gets poor darlin'.
Anna - :hugs: re your cat. Its never fun losing a part of your family.
Re rotavirus vaccine - Matthew's was an oral one so hopefully not another needle for Leah either. He did however get three needles for the other vaccines.

BRISSIE GIRLS: Re Brissie meet - Wednesdays Ryan has swimming until 12midday and also DH has an appt at 2pm on the 16th so will need the car. I am wondering though if I get DH to drop me and kids off to meet you guys after swimming (we would be approx 45mins late) and will then hang around the shopping centre until he finishes to pick us up..... will run it past DH and let you know.
Other times good for me are Tues and Thurs as Ryan is in childcare....

Sharp Images did the pics.. they have a website.. his name is Paul.. he actually comes to your home. he's only about 10mins from me. no sitting fee or obligation to buy. umm 3 A3 framed prints are $250. 3 A4 framed prints are $190 & 3 6x8 framed prints are $125 i think.. they have a deal running till the 15th which is purchase 3 of any size and get a 6x8 print for free(unframed - but its only $15 to frame that one too). definitely worth every cent.

Hey!
Haven't read posts yet as I have to leave in 45 mins (hopefully!) to go to M2B's (can't wait to see Madi!) then we're meeting Kirsty & Ella#2!
Just had to share - ELLA SLEPT THROUGH!!! PROPERLY!!!
We got home about 7.45pm, she'd had 2 bottles between 4 & 6pm (pigsy!), screamed the car down & was so over-tired, I had a shower with her around 8pm, tried another bottle but she fell asleep after 10ml. I thought she'd wake around 10.30 or 11pm for a bottle but didn't hear a peep out of her til 3.30am! I checked a few times cos I thought something had happened to her ...
Anyway, when i put dummy in she fell asleep straight away again! This happened only 4 times until 5.30 when I got her up to feed her that time!!! SO 8.30pm TO 5.30am!!!! YAY!!!
I have been up since as couldn't go back to sleep & I have done my ironing, washing, bottles, I am just gonna go have a shower while E is still asleep & get ready so I can then pack her bag, feed her & leave.
Have a wonderful day everyone! I will be sure to take photos of Madi, Ella & Ella to post!

Sarah - I love the happy blossom as well!!
Lana/Shezi - the belly cast is fantastic!! Shezi the photos are great and a good price as well.
Anna - I hope your cat returns today
Frangi - I was the one who used to travel alot so I will get my dh to reply Ha ! Though he used to get a huge amount of support from my mum and his mum while I was away. Do you have people who can drop in and help at bath time or anything?
Its raining here today so we are having a quiet one. Will probably throw on a DVD soon for the girls.

Sarah - i like the blossom one best but they are both nice.
Lana - i'm still up for the meet on thurs. you did a brilliant job on Shezi's bell cast, by the way. people alway comment on mine when they see it. i put it on, like over my shoulder the other day, felt so weird with a big belly again, i kinda miss it!
Shezi - bummer we won't get to meet you and your girls yet.
Carrie - great sleep for Ella! Harper still has his 2am feed but he goes straight back to bed.
this morning we are off to get our harp tattoos. i'm not nervous about the pain (i already have 3 plus now i've given birth, a little tatt is nothing...) but i am a bit nervous the design won't look as good on skin as it does on paper! i'm sure it will be fine... we will be in Subi for about 4 hours tho, what a pain... mine is first then DH, i will go for a walk up rokeby road with the pram, maybe buy a couple of new tops from Harper for mothers day :D
stupid me sat up til midnight chatting and watching tele with DH (his first night home). regretted it this morning, at least H stayed in bed til 6.30, usually its before 6! i gotta start going to bed at 9/9.30 when he does.
ok, have a great day ladies. i will post pics of our tatts later or tomorrow.

We got our twinkle toes yesterday and it looks great - need to find a place to hang it now.
LL wow - cant wait for a pic - goodluck.
Jacey is still going well, sleeping from 7pm to anywhere from 3.30am - 6.30am. I'm loving it! Day sleeps are still only one hour long and the occasional 3 hour!!

http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/7717/170050ws2.th.jpg (http://img513.imageshack.us/my.php?image=170050ws2.jpg)
You can use it as a car seat but only overseas (NZ, US and europe) its not approved yet in OZ which is silly as it is a fab car seat.
BUT i'll only be using it on my zapp so i can use the zapp now instead of waiting till Iris is 7mths etc
The maxi can fit a newborn to a 15mth old which makes it very versatile, but since Iris is soooo very long she'l probably only be in it until shes 9mths.
Its just do pretty:D

I will probably struggle with the sat as dh works most saturdays. I would normally just come with the three but am worried there will be a thousand people and so much going on I could lose track of one of them in an instant. I might have to miss the expo and meet you all for a coffee another time.

Hi Girls,
Not sure I'll be able to make the meet up either.
Well Leah slept for 3.5 hrs yesterday afternoon and I had to wake her for food because she was 1.5 hrs overdue so really thought we were getting somewhere..........until today. Ive finally given her dummy back to her after 5.5hrs of crying (her not me but I was tempted :o ). Poor Sams basically been plonked in front of the DVD all day seeing me only at food times. How do you tear yourself between two children? Or in some of your cases - 3?
Cat still hasn't shown up. Not holding hopes. DH keeps thinking he hears him but his ears are shot and I cant hear anything and feel guilty for not hearing anything just in case DH isn't imagining things.
Its raining here. Was goingto go for a big walk today but not too keen on having Leah in rain yet obviously.
Nothing much going on.
Lovely photos Taryn. You have the same bassinet I do.
Shezi, gorgous photos and great belly cast.
Lana you are a very tallented artist.
Congrats Gin on the centrelink.

How do you tear yourself between two children? Or in some of your cases - 3?
its terrible isnt it.. i struggled so badly while the girls were unwell.. i would be sitting on the lounge b/fing with D on my other side cuddling into me and would just sit there for as long as they would be happy.. poor M had to entertain herself a lot those few days.. thank god for dvds! lol. usually everything is ok.. i can carry A & D around easily and with M being 3&1/2 she knows she aint getting carried
when A is unsettled it gets so frustrating.. she rarely lets me put her down during the day but doesnt whinge as long as she's being held.. to be honest im hanging out till she'd 4months and can go into the jolly jumper.. (thats terrible isnt it :o - i just know with the other 2 they'd be so happy in that for atleast a half hour by 5months!)
thanx for all the comments girls re the photos & belly!
love the pics taryn. im thinking of getting the girls done with twinkle toes all together.. they have separate ones but all together in one frame would look gorgeous! might wait till bub is 4 or 6months tho so her hand is bigger than the one i just had done hehe.
sarah i love both of the pram carrier thingys hehe. gorgeous!

Well had to share....Logan made me a mothers day gift at his class today :yelclap: . My parents take him to squiggles and scribbles - its great. So I got my pressie a little early off him but I love it heaps:

They are fab aren't they.. i dont care what middys say, i got so sick of Antonio wasting most his food down his tops.. and along came NUK. Saves me a hell of lot of washing!:laughing:. Even when i used bibs (which i also dont need to use at the moment now) it would still get on his clothes down the neck of the bib. :banghead:. Now all the milk goes in his belly where it belongs. LOL!
(I see what you did with my name too... Aqua in Aqua.. smarty pants!, i like!)
Cat still hasn't shown up. Not holding hopes. DH keeps thinking he hears him but his ears are shot and I cant hear anything and feel guilty for not hearing anything just in case DH isn't imagining things.
:hugs:'s Annsam its horrible when your cats dissapear isn't it.
Im sure you have already done this (im not sure if you cat is a crier) but i have on occassion had buffy "dissapear" and the little so and so has been either under the house, or stuck in a cupboard in the house, which i checked all over, but as she doesnt cry when i call her name, i haven't always seen her.
Just thinking maybe your cat might have snuck under house, in cupboard, shed or even roof?? Maybe Dp can hear (or could be wishful thinking) - im prolly no help am i.. sorry!
ETA: Antonio had his 8 week MCHN check today and weighs in at 6.06kg(5.5 at 6 week),Length 52cm ?? im sure thats wrong he was 49 at birth.. shouldn't he be more than that??(not sure what 6 week was as she forgot to write it down) HC 42 cm . I can tell he is longer due to the fact that his legs actually fit into 000's properly now, maybe she did write it down wrong.

HI Everyone,
we had a great day at the park. Quite a few mums came and the bubs had a ball. I have some gorgeous photos of Madi, Ella and Ella playing together on the rug so when I work out how to use photobucket I will post the link! They held hands and even tried stealing eachothers dummies!
It was so good to have a great chat with Carrie and Nic, I wish you all could have come too.
Annsam, perhaps your cat is just hiding somewhere dry from the rain? I'll cross my fingers that your find it today.:fingerscrossed:
Oh and ladies babies galore just released their big brand sale. I'm internet shopping as I'm viewing this too...... credit card here we go.
What have you hinted about for mothers day? I left a post it on a few pages for my hubby, I love him but he will blow the credit card on something extravagant rather than something I actually need. Valentine

heehee, sometimes I would love to swap him, especially since he has decided to umpire a game of footy on my first mothers day... but he is great, espec. after hearing about other fathers recently. Dan changes nappies, cooks (pizza mainly), cleans (after a bit of prompting) and spends heaps of time with Ella. He still buys me flowers every month since our wedding (2.5 years ago). It's just that he likes to choose the gifts without me knowing, and sometimes chooses things that I wouldn't have chose but I would never tell him as it would upset him so much!
I feel sorry for one mum at my mums group who said that her partner never buys her presents, he just tells her to go buy herself something nice.
Have you dropped any hints?

Hehe! Sam is usually a bit of a tight-a$$ BUT when it comes to Xmas, birthdays and Mothers day he never lets me down. He prides himself on choosing the right gift and always takes note when i mention something (whether i mean to hint or not lol)! I wouldnt swap him for the world! Valentine
Had a pretty good day today. Amity chucked a few tanties but nothing major. griffin is having his second sleep for the day (good boy is getting himself into a routine!) and Amity is happily sitting and watching HER tv in the family room. (i only just bought some more rabbit ears for her tv and what do you know, that one gets ABC!! First time the poor kid has gotten to watch it! Im in Heaven!! )
Well we are off to the shops tonite to look at a low standing tv cabinet, our new tv we got is a bit too heavy for our old tv unit and im worried that Amity is going to push on it and it will tip. Better to be safe than sorry!

ok girls heres the belly cast
Fantastic belly cast!!! I am a frangipani freak! Lol. You'd luv my house! I luv the photos as well - the girls are adorable & you look gr8! Luv the b&w ones hey. They are always nice ... Are those ppl in Brisbane? Have to get some piccies done soon.
Ok
No spillage, easier to burp. Nice flow. I have no idea why i decided to buy the TT ones the other day...
Lol Ella dribbles half her bottle & it is like a flood! I even had it on the floor the other day! Might try them - the Nuk or the TT ones? Your post confused me
With transferring to a cot I just put E in one day to see if she liked it as bassinette wasn't made & she LUVS her WTP mobile. It has the WTP theme song which is slow & she hears it & settles instantly, it has bird noises & then it has an up-beat one for playing too. You can select to have the characters going in a circle and select to have the light on or off. Ella also has that WTP night light!
I think A & E need to meet!
BRISSIE GIRLS: Re Brissie meet - Wednesdays Ryan has swimming until 12midday and also DH has an appt at 2pm on the 16th so will need the car. I am wondering though if I get DH to drop me and kids off to meet you guys after swimming (we would be approx 45mins late) and will then hang around the shopping centre until he finishes to pick us up..... will run it past DH and let you know.....
That's fine! Nic & I were like an hour late today! I left an hour late (thanks to E doing her usual stint when we have to leave by a certain time - sleeping past bottle time - for once - not drinking & doing poohs & spews then wants more bottle ... every time!!!) I'm gonna aim to be there at 11 then I'll be there at 12! Lol.
Kirsty and Carrie, it was really nice to meet you both and your gorgeous baby girls Ella x 2 - hehe. That would be great Kirsty if you could post the pics, I tried to send them to Carrie but it still doesn't work. Hope you got home alright Carrie, looking forward to meeting up again next week. Still can't believe how Madi and Ella look so alike - twins seperated at conception - lol!
I agree - it was so good to see you guys & all the babies were so adorable! Unfortunately Ella was grumpy lying on the ground! Hehe ... I don't think she liked the wind ... I had a gr8 time & can't wait to see the pics.
Nic what email are you sending them to? I think u have the right one so don't know why they wouldn't work?
Emma it'll be good that you're at A Hills cos I'm actually up the road from there now lol - my parents live at Oxford Park / Mitchelton (near Grovely Tafe College) so maybe sometimes when we are over here I can come & bring Ella over for a play with Cooper!
Okay :fingerscrossed: Ella sleeps through again - we have been out all day again, outdoors between 12 & 2pm again, over tired again, and in the same suit she seems to have her bigger sleeps in ... lets hope it works! I wonder which bit helped her sleep so long? Or maybe it's the fact she's obviously over 5kg ... Will find out tomorrow - NEEDLES(!) and clinic appointment. So nervous.
Good night girls!

With that nappy you linked to, it might be worthwhile asking what the absorbent layer is made from, unless you are not too worried and just love the look, in which case... it's gorgeous! :p
DH cleaned his desk yesterday, yep, I didn't even make him do it either! LOL, he is being so lovely lately, washed the dishes and apologised that there were any in the sink when I got home! He always knows how to keep me guessing that man of mine, LOL, I think he has noticed how much time I've had to spend with Kes lately.
Sarah- yet more delicious links from you (I love window shopping!), thankyou!
Glad O woke up happy, he sounds so sweet with the things he says to you!
Lana- art doesn't have to be painting them! I think you're incredibly artistic the way you have created the concept and work with the ideas people have! Do you think you'll be able to do any more Bedazzled Bellies now you're doing that new job?
Thanks again to all who replied about my issues, a problem shared is a problem halved I hear, certainly feels like that!

LOL, I was walking home and he chucked a nasty screaming fit, horrible sounding! Anyhoo, I am rubbish at feeding while standing and couldn't see anywhere to sit so I went in and asked if they had somewhere.
A lovely officer took me to an empty office, and even put on the heater for us, very nice indeed and Kes was so much happier!

Morning all
Had to get up at 4am so I could take my sister and niece to the airport :smiliedance: . I'm amazed that I woke up as when I set my alarm on my mobile I forgot to take it off silent. It still made a noise so that's the main thing. I left Cooper with Dh, but had him prepared with a bottle & nappy next to his bed as I new Cooper would wake in the next hour.
So on the way home from the airport my other sister and I snuck into maccas and had breaky. I so want to go back to bed but have to go to the docs this morning and then centrelink and then take my sister to the hospital again as her eye still isn't better. I will sleep well tonight that's for sure.
BlueGin how cute feeding Kes at the police station.
AD hope Antonio fell into a deep and long sleep for you so you could get some rest.
Anyway I might go and do some dusting as I'm have nothing better to do.

Caithi- My DH is the same and freaks out when Ella cries too much as I don't let Ella cry. i don't beleive in control crying at all, my MIL is still trying to change my mind..... I have been trying to give DH alternatives for when Ella cries such as use the bouncer, feed, her fav lamb toy, glider chair, baby bjorn and now a swing. just so he can find what works for him, as Dh can't always think straight when she is crying...
Kirsty your hubby sounds very romantic lucky you!Except the part about the footy game lol

Yay for Kes, betcha he thought it was great! It was nice of them to give you a private space to feed. Now my proud mumma moment:
Ella rolled herself over the other day, and today she has picked up her teether ring (a present from baby shower) and put it in her mouth! It took a few gos for her to get it in her mouth rather than her ear, chin and cheek (funny to watch!), and finally found her mouth. She won't take a dummy but i guess is doing things in her own time. yay Ella.:smiliedance:
Are your bubs doing the same things? what else should I be watching for?

i got the same sore arm and throat but never got mastitis. My dr didn't even give me antibiotics, i just got told water and sleep. oh and my attachment was wrong. Ella wasn't sucking properly and was leaving old milk.
thanks for the link but ella doesnt want to look at me during feeding as she wants to see whoever is making any noise. She is getting a little too switched on and way too distracted during feeding. Considering feeding singlets etc but the nursing wear is so dear. I tried Ebay but I always forget to log in and bid towards the end. I am an absolute scatter brain now i've had Ella.

How do you tear yourself between two children? Or in some of your cases - 3?
.
Sometimes one just has to cry while I am dealing with the other one. I sometimes feel like a mother duck with the ducklings following as I am finding I am carrying Chloe alot as she wants to be held when she is awake and the two older girls just follow me everywhere I go. I cracked it yesterday when I was trying to go to the toilet and R and T had to be there with me !!!
Gemm~ Sundays much better for me too, so how about we still meet up (I know another Bher who wants ot coem that day too) at the expo and those who can come on the sunday come
Then we could also organize another meet for all those who cant make the expo as we are never going to meet at this rate LOL:laughing:

Oh my God these guys are my downfall. I love the clothes and have bought quite a bit of stuff. My dad often travels to the US so I order it and have it sent to his hotel room and save on postage that way. But sometimes I just get it sent anyway. The quality is so good and the end of season sales are great which works out to be the begining of our season. Tilly was only wearing one of their outfits on sunday and everyone was saying how nice it was. Get onto their email list and they snd you specials etc.
Man, i forgot to get those door knob covers last night to stop Amity from coming out of her room while im trying to get her to have a sleep... Paying for it now!
Lana - do you know a plumber? If you have normal round door knobs just get some pvc pipe offcuts and they do the job.
Shezi - hope you feel better.
Well just recieved the cd of the photos we had taken for Tilly's first birthday. The photographer met us for two hours down at the beach and took four rolls of film, sent every photo in an album, we then selected four to be enlarged and then she sent those along with all the photos on a cd so we can print as many as we want. All for the bargain price of $240. We are so going to use her again.

bragging...but we have had such a good day. went shopping this morning and kids were perfect. Got home at 12, Logan and Jacey both went down for nap. Logan slept 3 hrs, jacey 4!! very lucky.
Lana the reason i asked was cause a friend of mine had the same problem and she tried to put her down earlier at 12 and it worked!!! Logan wakes at 7am too and has lunch at 11, bottle after at 11.45, bed at 12 and i dont hear a peep out of him! I'm sure you have tried everything though. I must say though Logan is still in his cot!! he he he
I'm too scared to make any changes and he doesnt try and get out or anything - even when we have accidently left the side rail down. Needless to say I'm borrowing my mums cot for Jacey!! I even change Logan's bum while he is sleeping! Even a dirty one!! yep he's a sound sleeper.

Lana- I have no ideas.....im sure you have tried everything. All i can say is we are going through similar stuff...mainly just Jazz being stobborn , i think its just their age. THIS TOO WILL PASS! Thas my motto for now!
Both girls are doing well and i will try and get on over the weekend to catch up a bit more. Oh and i turned 25 yesterday!! So old!

Im looking forward to doing this one day a week of work, at least that way i will get some more Amity-free time... (god that sounds bad)
Lana - dont feel bad I love having the two days the older girls are in daycare. I am sure I would go mad if I didnt get that time out.
I will find out from my friend how she attached the pipe so it didnt come off.
Shezi - is ther an all night chemist you can go to. Mastitis is a form of septasemia (so cannot spell!!) I think so you really need the antibiotics if that is what you have.
Thanks for the comment re the girls everyone!!

Thanks for all the hugs girls... Hopefully she will fall asleep soon... She has been non-stop crying today and is now in bed STILL screaming!!
Sheree - Oh hun i would definitely go and get the antibiotics! Is there a chemist that Chris could go to to get them for you??
Sarah - I know! How can they go a whole day with no sleep?? I could happily go for a sleep during the day!
Gemma - thanks that would be great!
Aaah... i just went in to try and calm her down. Told her to wait in her bed while i feed Griff and then i will come back in and read her another book... hopefully she will go to sleep!!
From when Sam got home this arvo i baked a Butter Cake and cooked Potato and Leek soup for dinner! Yummo! Off to have a cuppa and some cake now...

Hey girls, quick brag...... (I dont get to do many of htem re sleep after all hehe), after a long day out and a rough night getting madam to sleep, she slept from 10pm - 5.50am :yelclap: Happy happy happy.
Shezi, Im with you re the antibiotic, not a big taker of them unless theres no other choice because I believe they are too widely perscribed :ecomcity: but with mastitis, Id definitely be taking them.
Lana :hugs: , sounds like a crappy day. We have some days like that with Sam at times. He gets to take 2 cars to bed with him and when he wont sleep etc etc I take the cars off him and let him scream. He's old enough to know nap time is nap time. Harsh I know but it doesn't happen the next day I can tell you.
LL, great tats and jumper.
RTC'sMum, your children are stunning. Very beautiful girls.
DH just took Sam out to work for a few minutes and Leah and I were both in bed, she was snacking, I was sleeping - you know how it is, then I hear this band and cruch crunch crunch, the bloody dog has got up on the bench and found the rib bones from last nights dinner and scattered them and their sauce all over the floor ARGH!
So whats everyone up to for mothers day? Think we might go for a picnic brunch at the duck pond if the ground dries up. The thought of trying to get these two children to behave in a restaurant isn't appealing.

Mother's Day, Dh is working :( and I'm sleeping when I can lol
I had a Sh!t day yesterday...the night before I only got 1 1/2 hours sleep before I had to get up at 4:00am to take my sister to the airport and then I had to go to the doc's early (as I had to get a form filled out by him for centrelink). I had a few Centrelink stuff to do and wanted to get it all fixed up yesterday as Dh is starting a new job next week so it would have been a pain for me to get down there. So the doc says (once I'm sitting in his office, and there's no other people in the surgery) Oh you need to have an apoinment for this form, (as you can just walk in and get seen you don't usually have to make an appointment), so he says how about monday. So then it was useless going to centrelink.
So I got my shopping done and went home and Dh had to go to work. I cleaned the house even though I should have been having a sleep then about 4:30pm I was at the computer and started to fall asleep  So I went and had a lie down then the damn phones kept ringing and of course it woke Cooper up. So Dh arrived home to look after Coop while I had a sleep except his Foster mum came around with him...so we had a coffee and she went home and it got to about 7:30 and my sister still had a very sore eye and she said can I take her to the hospital. So after going to the hospital we didn't get home till 11:30, and I instantly fell asleep after watching Neighbours that I had taped.
Then Coop decided to wake up at 1am and I couldn't even open my eyes I was so tired. Then he must have fell asleep as I don't remember LOL, and he woke up at 4:30am and he was hungry and my sister was still up so she said 'do you want me to feed him' and I said 'yes please', and I asked her 'if she minded if I went back to bed' and she 'no that fine'. But my joy of sleeping was short lived as then Cooper woke me at 6:00am so I stuck him in his swing and he fell straight to sleep. He could have done that in his bassinet.
Mean while of course Dh is having a nice sleep and doesn't hear Cooper crying at all
Well that was a whole heap of cr@p I've just written to make you all fall asleep. LOL

umm dp didnt want to go out. once i had picked M up from school with D & A in my arms there was no way i couldve taken them into the chemist and wait while they made up my prescription.. parents were working late.. ended up getting panadol from mum at 8.30pm after having climbed into bed and chris saying just go sleep then you'll feel better:mad: umm as if! took a panadol then stayed on the lounge for hours while i went through sweating & what not.. slept a little.. completely exhausted now.
hes getting the script on his way home from work.. so 12ish i guess.. im hanging out for 12 anyway coz its bed time and i need a nap..
headache is a lot better but i feel out of it whenever i stand & walk around. throat still hurts.. arm hurts from armpit to elbow & getting pains all over my body.. worst ones in tummy & ribs.
sorry again for me post.

LL - Love the Tatts, now be honest on a scale of 1-10 how much did it hurt.. i have always wanted a tattoo in a similar spot to you, but have been told that lower back area kills... soooo how much pain where you in??
Emma :hugs:'s, isn't it horrible when you are so tired that you cant even open your eyes, its like they are glued shut. Hope you get to catch up on some sleep soon!!
Nothing to report here, Antonio i think needs his formula up'd again, was on 200mls every 5-6 hrs, last night he had a feed at 10pm, then woke at 1am .. and guzzled another 200ml ... growth spurt again? So will try him on 250ml now.
How much (formula fed bubbies) do your bubs drink? At 2mths? I know the back of the tin is only a guide, so just curious.. i dont want to over or under feed him.

Hey!
Well I'm in Kingaroy visiting Mummy to Mason, MtM's DH & Mason (of course). It's 3 hour drive from home so aimed to leave around 6am & we only left 15 mins later! Yay!
She has been quite clingy & grizzly from her needles & not eating much. Before we left this morning she was so happy but has been a grumpy bum since we've been up here. Gave her panadol last night & today as she seems to have had a temp & it helps.
Ella has these red marks in the creases in her neck & starting to smell. I feel terrible but I do my best to wash in there & dry her properl - I put paw paw ointment on them today so i hope it helps. They look like burns.
Gonna start E's scrapbook today! Went to my fave scrapbook shop, yes it is better than ones in Brisbane, and I was dreading the total (as always!) but was under what I thought so that was good. Mum will pay me for some as I got stuff to do my sis's 21st album which I am doing and she is paying for (& I get left overs!). Can't wait to sort through all my new things and organise everything so I can start! Haven't done any for like a year!
E had her needles yesterday (where i had to hold her legs down & I cried!!) then clinic appointment. GIN - her (approx as I can't remember) stats are:
5.4kg
58cm long
38cm hc
THen after being rained on going into the clinic I changed E in the pram in the car park & into a wondersuit as a bit cool and she was screaming so she had a bottle while i sat in the car with her which she took 30 mins to drink instead of 10 then went to shopping centre as realised hadn't joined her to our private health insurance and the pram felt like it had breaks on & the front tyre blew out! So i thought i'd get the blue stroller from target i wanted but didn't lay back for new borns.
My arm has only just recovered! I got E a bright pink Baby Butterfly fleece suit, pink cardigan (0!) and a long sleeve shirt that says "Angel in Disguise". That shirt is a size 1! It is no bigger than 00's she is wearing now though, the arms are just long as but I can roll them up. Cardi will look cute ovre a white wondersuit!
Wow- that is an awesome sleep!!!! Ella was feeding every5 hours and is usually 7 hours so I think she's having a growth spurt again. Can Grif teach Ella about having 9 hour sleeps
AND this Ella! She hasn't done it again :(
LL - Love the Tatts, now be honest on a scale of 1-10 how much did it hurt.. i have always wanted a tattoo in a similar spot to you, but have been told that lower back area kills... soooo how much pain where you in??
How much (formula fed bubbies) do your bubs drink? At 2mths? I know the back of the tin is only a guide, so just curious.. i dont want to over or under feed him.
Luv the tats too - I want a small white, pink & yellow frangipani in the same spot as you or middle lower back with Ella's name around the top so i can put other kid's names around it too. Have chickened out so many times!
AD, Ella drinks 180ml but sometimes wants another bottle within an hour or some of a bottle or sometimes doesn't drink that depending. i think she is grizzling today cos she would be hungry but doesn't feel like eating - she is doing hungry cries when she cries but ends up having her dummy as won't drink
SORRY FOR MY MAMMOTH POST!!! Gonna go scrapbook now!
Oh PS Ella scared the Cr@p out of me last night - she was grizzling - her dummy cry & i was gonna see if she actually cried but decided to go in - lucky i did as she'd pulled her wrap over her head!!! She'd been wrapped tightly too!

CarrieB, Jacey has had the same red things in her creases under her arm pit!! But its getting better now she is older. She had an extra roll that was very hard to clean and dry but I also tried my hardest to make sure it was dry but I think it was more from the sweat!!. Oh also what you describe could be what the doc told me bubs can get in their neck folds - like a fungus thing and to treat with external canestan cream - she mentioned the smell etc. I just used bepantham (sp?) on Jacey and it looked a lot better the next day - only had to use it the once. You could ask the chemist.
DS chucked the biggest tanty I have seen him do this morning all over changing his nappy!! He was outside and had a poo but didnt want it changed. It was hard not to laugh at him and when I did he was worse!! I even had DH on the phone trying to calm him down. In the end had to let him back outside to calm down and then it was OK to change it!! Gosh knows what goes through their minds!! He is really starting to know a lot more, speak a lot more and tells me no now when I ask him things!! I think I am nearing the terrible twos!!
Jacey has been perfect as ever, still having her big day sleeps!!
Jacey escapes from her wraps all of the time but luckily its only her legs that get out as we do the angel wrap! I feel terrible when it happens and she has cold legs!!
OK DS needs me.......

Well madam Leah has just gone to sleep for the FIRST time today! Shes a shocker.
DH and I have had a good day together without b*tching at each other. Honestly though, what goes through mens heads? Scenario: DS is asleep, house is quiet, tring to get leah to sleep and have the bedroom door closed. DS wakes up and for some reason, DH then thinks its a good idea to leave our bedroom door (where Leah is) open. How does he figure that she could possibly get some sleep with DS slamming cupboards and yelling and running? I dont get the logic.
then he decides we wont go for a picnic tomorrow as the ground wil be too wet and hes going to cook me a breakfast at home....... great. I get to look after two screaming kids and have a dirty kitchen when all I really want to do is get out of the house. Now hes just dragged DS out to do mothers day shopping (1 hr before the shops close) and doesn't seem to get what Im going on about when I say that its actually the preparation and thought that goes into it that makes it a special day. Yes, it may sound like Im over reacting because its only a hallmark day but he does xmas shopping on xmas eve afternoon (and he only has to buy for me), he just bday pressie shopping on teh afternoon before that too and one year when DS was 1 month old sent ME out to get my bday pressie the day before my birthday. He just doesn't get it :banghead:
Anyway, enough whinging. Weve actually had a good day....... or as good as you do stuck in the house with a baby who wont sleep.
Carrie, Leah has the red marks too. They go as they start moving around better. I use pawpaw ointment or sorbaline.
Caithi, how you feeling? Have you been to Doc?
Shezi, how you feeling?
My Ob called yesterday and left me a message saying my pap smear came back with an abnormality and I'll need retesting in 6 months and to call him but I didn't get the message till after he'd closed.

Hi girls.
Back friom Adelaide, had a great time with the MIL. She loved her grandson and said he is identical to DP when he was a baby.
Toadlet didn't cry once on the plane there and back. Very proud. He was perfectly behaved wherever I took him.
Everone was in shock when I said he was 9 weeks old. One lady thought he was 6 months.
I've just had to retire nearly all his clothes cause he doesnt fit them anymore.
Getting lots of smiles now and he replies when you goo and gaa at him.
I bought some Thomas the tank engine dressing gowns and put snaps on the arms and the neck so I can keep him warm and popper the arms to the neck so he doesnt hit himself in the head but can still put his hands to his mouth. He slept very well.
Missed you all heaps.
I'd love to go through the last weeks worth of posts but doubt I'd had time.. so if there was anything major goig on please list it in point form!
Hope all the babies are well.
Are all five of us Sydney mums turning up to the meet?

THAT IS WHAT MTM & I HAVE BEEN SAYING TO OUR DH'S ALL DAY! DH had to go get us a new tube for the pram tyre today & bought me Gylliens(sp?) and a card that he wrote "To Carrie from Daddy :& Ella" instead of "Dear Mummy love from Ella" He bought me Monopoly from ella for my b'day which i'dbeen asking for since xmas & he got the night before & from him i got a couple of scratchies! He still owes me ... I bought myself a gr8 MD present on my credit card though lol - scrapbooking supplies!!! I told him he knows obviously forever before birthdays, christmas, MD etd is coming up & i tell him months before stuff i want then he still asks so what do i want?! And it's always a bad week we can't afford presents so he should've got another week or put on laybuy weeks before or something like that.
Last yr i had to drag him round shops to get the necklace i wanted for my birthday 2 days after my birthday & he was complaining about going round the shops!!! :banghead:
I put pawpaw ointment on the marks & after her bath before just curash powder to dry it out a bit. Smells better now! lOL

Happy mothers day. Hope you are having a smashing day.
Shezi, leahs sleep is good at night - 8 hrs straight but the days are cr*p. Im lucky to get 2 hours out of her all day and shes just so miserable and tired so taking the hard line with her today and shes asleep now finally for the first time today so hopefully its a nice long sleep.
As for pressies, Id be wrapped with something home made too but DH wouldn't have a clue about how to help DS do that and I just get peeved that no thought goes into any special day of mine.
Shezi, hope you are feeling better today and that you finally got your script.
LT, welcome back.
Oh cant remember what else. Read it all a few hours back.
We went for a picnic by the duck pond today. Man was it cramped! There were so many people. Was good though. Nice to get some fresh air.
Nothing to report here.
Have a great day girls.

Happy Mothers Day Lovelies!!
I hope you have all had a good morning! I got some awesome pressies! I got a big bottle of Lolita Lempicka perfume and another Charm for my Pandora Bracelet. I got a Pram charm (http://www.pandora.com.au/pandora/79346s.jpg) (seeing as though it is Mothers Day lol!) Oooh and i had a ham and cheese croisant and a cup of tea made for me for breakfast!
Griffin decided that 7.30am was a great time to give mummy a special mothers day pressie. After another 5 days of no poos he did a massive one and when i change him he straight away started to pee on me and then continued to shoot poo my way!! What a little charmer i have!
Hope you girls have a good rest of your day and got some nice pressies!

Hi girls
Well I had a nice mothers day too, Logan and Luke bought me a necklace that I needed to wear my wedding ring cause I get dermititis and cant wear it so its great. Hate not being able to wear my wedding ring :-(
Then we went to breaky at a restaurant with my parents. Kids were perfect too so it was very nice. Other than that - not much, tried to sleep during the day but Jacey wasnt having it!! Luke had to sleep as he's on night shift!! I didnt get a card but made it clear that next year that is what I want!! he he, I would prefer a card than a pressie - especially if Logan helped make it. But I did get my flower that Logan made me at his craft class.
Sounds like everyone had a nice day.
Sarah thats a great sleep. So thats a PB I guess? Jacey's personal best is also 11.5 hours!! But last night she woke at 2am - unwrapped again.... then 3.40am when I fed her. hmm hope she returns to her normal sleep. It is starting to get cooler here now so I think she is waking up cold. Its hard cause its still hot when we go to bed but cools down during the night. Anyway will wrap her extra tight tonight.
OK, raved on heaps. best go
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL!
DH arranged a beautiful card and some scratchies from Madi. I won $7 so that's ok! Madi had a sleep over at my mum's house last night as DH went out for our 1st anniversary, so I raced over to mum's this morning for my big hug and smiles from my little girl. It was so hard leaving her over night but she had a great time and slept from 12am to 5:15am, very good girl for her Nanna!
Welcome back LT, glad you had a great time away!
Shezi, hope you are feeling better today!
Wow Sarah, well done Iris, that is an awesome sleep.
Carrie, hope you are having a great weekend away.
Madi had her needles too on Friday and screamed the place down. She had the 3 needles and we have to go back tomorrow morning for an oral dose of rotavirus vaccine. Has anyone else's bubs got this? It's very expensive - what is it for?
Her 8 week stats are:
Weight - 5.3kg
Length - 55cm
HC - 39cm
Hope everyone has a great night

Hi everyone and Happy Mothers Day !!!! Hope you have all had a wonderful day.
I have had a great couple of days which has been divine after an absolutely terrible Friday. This morning I got a lovely card and paper flowers that Ryan made specially at daycare and then another pressie from all my boys which was a Bamix. My other bamix broke when we moved up to Brissie 18mths ago and I was really missing it so very pleased.
Also Ryan has been an angel for the last two days which is really nice, especially on Mothers day.
Matthew has been up and down and also seems to go okay sleeping at night but during the day only sleeps for 1/2 hour or so before waking and won't resettle. Today I lay down with him and we slept for an hour and a half together. It was so nice . Then I took him shopping and after a short sleep in the pram he just lay there awake looking around and being an absolute darling for about an hour. Just wanted to pick him up and cuddle him!
Been to the ILs tonight for a big family dinner (Thai takeaway YUM) and had a lovely time.
Bernie - welcome and congratulations on your little Harrison. Just love the name!
Shezi - glad to hear you are feeling a bit better but I would recommend you still go and get those antibiotics as mastitis can be really hard to shake. Oh yeah - and give your DH a big kick up the a$$ from us girls here :shame:.
M2B - the rota virus is a really nasty stomach bug that can put kids into hospital and can be quite serious. My paed recommended it if we were likely to be in contact with childcare or school environments. As Ryan is in childcare two days a week I decided to go ahead with it. Yes it is expensive and now kids born after 2nd May get it for free but I think it is worth it. If you are in private health you might also get some $ back from them.
I can email you an information sheet on the rotavirus vaccine that the paed sent me if you are interested. Shezi - maybe it is more prevalent over here???
Sorry for the long post - will get organised and post some more photos soon... cutest one of Matthew with some toy goggles on....:D definately one for the 21st.... stay tuned.

Hey girls, back to my cr@ppy computer where i have to put codes in to paragraph :(
Glad you had a nice day!
Lana you are so spoiled - Sam needs to talk to some of the other daddies ...
Anna - Glad you got your picnic! How did u get Leah to sleep through 8 hours at night time?
Sarah - OMG Iris is a dream!!! No fair ... Ella seemed to stay awake most of last night - maybe cos in a different place? No WTP mobile? No night light? In a porta-cot? Hmmm...
Nic - Happy anniversary! Hope you had a lovely time with your dh & some catch-up sleep!
Ella was heaps happier today & had a few naps then slept the 3 hours back home so hope she sleeps tonight ...
Did 3 pages of scrapbook this weekend & leaving it out on table in spare room so I can do some during day times if I get a chance & not have to pack it away.
The room also has E's porta-cot set up in it plus her other toys, small tv etc so she can play in there while I do it. It is gonna be her 'playroom'. It is off the lounge room at the front of the house & has a big glass sliding door and a normal door between lounge & it so you can just shut it off when ppl come over - shove all the toys in there & close the door!
Made a cd tonight so i can get E's pics printed tomorrow - 285 or something!!! Plus the cd from this weekend at MtM's - some gorgeous pics! We did "Trixie Fotos". Lol. They are so cute! Except the good smiling one she had spew dribbling out the side of her mouth! We did it with the white dooner cover draped over the bed head with pillows under to prop E up a little bit & she wee'd on it after the nakey ones! Lol. They are gorgeous. When I save some to the computer I will upload to PB.
Out of heaps of stuff too so have to do a shop. First grocery shop on my own! They'd better have the capsule trolleys there - only 2 at our centre! Also have to maybe get a weather cover for the pram as E got soaked the other day in the rain - straight thru cotton wrap! That might have to wait to next w/e or maybe Wed when we have the Briz meet. Def have to get some more storage boxes for scrapbooking stuff & also for E's stuff we have to put away now - 000 wondersuits, newborn & infant nappies :(
Oh I did some footprints for E's scrapbook today! Gonna put the sepia (sp?) pic we took of her feet on one page, the prints on the other side & print the footprints poem (if i can find it!) on clear plastic stuff or velium to put over top :) So excited to be back into it! (Can't u tell? Lol).
Ok off to bed ... (til E wakes for another bottle - tried to force feed her before - after 2 hours - but wou;dn't take it of course ...)
Nighty nights ...

Nic - We weren't told about the RV vaccine but E got 3 injections also ... was told i shouldn't have given E the panadol 1/2 hour before - apparently it is in the "'immunisation bible" & told she wouldn't need it anytime after but has had it twice as has been hot, sweaty & extra grizzly etc and very clingy & snuggly to me. Better today though. Glad i did give her the panadol.
Nic, Kirsty, M&R's Mum, Emma, Jaimie, (who else?) - Who's def coming on Wednesday? I will try & get there just before 12 (TRY lol) and I have a black pram and a BH ribbon on my (black) nappy bag ... If you want my mobile number just pm me.
M&R's Mum is your first name Sharon? Sorry I can't remember! Baby brain ...

13-05-2007, 08:38 PM
Hi Carrie - yes my name is Sharon. I am still trying to figure the logistics on the Wednesday meet. DH is okay to drop me off at Carindale after Ryan's swimming (wouldn't be there till 1pm probably), then go to his appt at 2pm but he wouldn't be back to get me until 3:30 or 4pm. Not sure if Ryan would survive all that after swimming but he may be able to go back to his cousins place. Will think more on how it will work and let you know. I am hoping I can make it work somehow.

that will look amazing! hope you dont mind but im gonna steal your ideas so please feel free to post more hehe!
for M's scrapbook i did a page for every 2weeks for her first year.. and extras when special pics were taken and what not..
Sharon hehe i was on the verge of that before! if i had my balance it'd be all good  thing is he went out riding and spent the prescription money.. nice eh. im feeling heaps better tho. thankfully he gets paid at the beginning of the week so if it stops improving i'll be straight down there.
hope you all had a great mothers day!
i got a card the girls made for me. M made me this big card at daycare all painted with flowers.. very nice. and chris bought a frame for a pic of D which was taken when she was 4&1/2 months old! but its finally framed!! i had M done at the same age and had them both colour inked.. which is the whole pic is black&white except a head band & necklace on M's and a flower headband on D's. huge pics too. im getting A done at the same age also.
i must remember to take some pics of A's room tomorrow.. the photos i had done of me and her and the one of just A are up in her room. looks great..

Oh and guess what girls, i FINALLY sold the Phil & Ted.. Bit less than what i wanted for it but hey, better than nothing! Ok, gotta go!
Just thought i would post this not to scare any one but be more wary of it.
A friend of mine took her son to get his 6 month needles at her doctor and there is a nurse there that does that.
The doctor took her in and told the nurse what was needed to de done.
The lady came and gave the needle and his leg puffed right up. My friend asked if it was normal and the nurse went away and came back and told her she had given him a dose of the adult flu shot by accident.
They went straight into the doctor and he said that bub would be ok but his leg might be swollen for a while.
The nurse was in tears and explained that it was very busy for her at that point in time as there had just been a shift change and the last nurse had drawn up both of the needles and then rushed out and must have put them in the wrong container.
Bubby was fin and my friend was very upset but didn't do anything about it as the nurse was so upset and sorry she was going to leave the job.
Just thought i would let u guys no to get them to double cheak all the time cause it could of ended tradgic if it had of been something else.

Iris almost slept another 12hrs last night I tell ya im loving this whole co sleeping thang (but to be honest i think its just her lol she just really likes her sleep!)
O is having no more day naps and wont even rest in his room or watch a dvd for me!
Yesterday he was so badly behaved by about 4pm he was over it, it was very :o as we had my sister (who doesnt have any kidlets) and her hubby over and they looked a bit well put off lol to see him behaving like a lil monsta!
oh well we'll see how they handle a preschooler with no sleep when they have one (if they have one lol)
Having some drama's with dh atm alot of stress with living at mums and renovating the house...looks like we'll have to knock it down and just sell off the land to get some $ back:(

Iris must've spoken to jacey last night she slept until 6.30am too!!! Very happy about that. I rugged her up last night and she didnt escape from her wrap. I think the other two nights when she woke she was cold.
Bummer about your renos!! It must be hard living with family though. Hopefully things get better for you soon. Lucky Iris is such a good bub for you. Hmmm funny about your sister, Both my brothers dont want kids, well one brother doesnt and my other brothers wife doesnt!! So looks like my kids will be very spoilt but its a shame they wont have cousins on my side of the family!
Thats terrible about injecting the wrong stuff in bub!! OMG I would be freaking out too. That kinds stuff just should not happen these days. Gosh I bet the nurse felt so sick over it.
We decided not to have the rotavirus vaccine after discussing with our GP. However Logan did have the virus last year and it was nasty. He doesnt go to day care but we have mothers group etc and I just hope it doesnt getit again. I think I was told once that if they do get it, they will have a better chance of not getting it as bad again cause they would've built up the antibodies already!! Does anyone know about that?
OK, well cleaning day today.

Re: her dancing, i personally would think she was too young to make the connection
I know with O if I do something immediate he gets it really quick (like anna taking sams cars away)
I usually threaten to put him in his room (which is a killer for him as he loves being around people) OR i say im going to take his superman cape, spiderman hat or batman head gear LOL I have alot ot choose from hahahaha
this works 90% of the time
Try taking a fave toy or something off her or a dvd that she loves she'll soon get with the program either that or i'll ship O to you and you can post Amity to me:yes: hahahaha
Anna~ the reno's are going to cost too much as we have to put all new plumbing in (you'd think with dh being a plumber it would work out cheaper:rolleyes: ) BUT as there isnt any plumbing in the house its going to cost $$$$ and we just dont have it:no:

ok, just caught up on posts... have much more bubhub time when DH is away!
SHEZI - tell Chris to pull his finger out and get your script! i can't believe he spent the medicine money!!
LL - Love the Tatts, now be honest on a scale of 1-10 how much did it hurt.. i have always wanted a tattoo in a similar spot to you, but have been told that lower back area kills... soooo how much pain where you in??
ok well first the pain is not constant, it goes for a few seconds then the tattooist wipes it and checks it. so its easy to handle coz you know it won't go for long. like waxing, painful but only for a short amount of time. if you get it on a flabby area (like mine), it hurts less too. the outline doesnt hurt at all, the colouring/shading hurts a bit. i would say 4-5 out of 10. for me, giving birth was an 8-9 but i found labour very painful, not everyone does...
Just a quick one for the Perth girls... Are you still eager to meet up next week?? On the Thursday?? Or are we going to reschedule it to the following Tuesday so that we can all make it??
i can do either. i think firsttime is away this week?
will leah sleep if you hold her? im having that prob with A. she will sleep through the day if held but wakes after a few minutes of being put in her cot. frustrating considering she self settles through the night. she slept for 3 hours straight in my arms today.
Harper is the same during the day, crashed out in my arms but wide awake and whingey as soon as i put him to bed. he's sleeping on the sofa next to me right now. but i can't get anything done coz i dont leave him alone in the lounge in case the cats sit on him!!
well, my first mothers day was disappointing. no pressie (he says my 30th gift is combined mothers day gift too!!), no card coz he doesnt like cards (but i do!!). then i had to FORCE him to get up with Harper and i put ear plugs in but could still hear H crying and DH getting narky with him - no patience! so i came out and grabbed Harper, of course he was quiet once he got some cuddles... then at 10am, i had to ASK for brekkie in bed coz i was so hungry! i think the point of it is meant to be DH being thoughtful, not me saying 'its mothers day, can you please do..." MEN!!!!!!!!! he always does this on special occasions, on my bday last year, i took the arvo off work and came home. he went and had a sleep all afternoon! i should've just stayed at work coz i just sat around by myself watching tele.
well, thats enough complaining. at least i know that the MD/30th gift is good. we went to staff sales of diamonds (the mine he is resigning from is a diamond mine) and he is getting earrings made for me :D
sorry for the big post and the b!tching...

Lana - love Pandora I think I have about two more charms to go before mine is full. I love the pram one as well DH got me that one when Tilly was born. Its very addictive we have people in the shop that were up to thier third bracelet!!
Shezi - I hope you have the antibiotics!! Mastitis is really serious get Chris to get them now no more excuses!!!
Anna - great about Leahs long sleep!
Carrie - Just another suggestion try giving Ella tummy time after her bath so her neck folds get really nice and dry before putting on the paw paw cream.
Sarah - bummer about the house what do you think you will do now?
R&M's Mum - great photos, love the goggles!!
LL - great tattoos you have more guts than me.
Well dh took me out to dinner for Mothers Day on Sat night. It was great we left all three girls and headed into town. Had a great dinner then went for a walk down by the harbour, stopped for gelato and headed home around 10:30. The great thing was I fed Chloe just before we left at 7pm and she slept through so didnt even know I was gone. Tilly had gone to bed at 6:30 so our nanny who babysitting only saw Ruby who was only up until 7:30. She said if they do that for her she will do as many nights as we want her to LOL!!
We have decided to have one Sat night a month where we will go out, just the two of us so that we get that one on one just us time. Even though our girls are all in bed by 7:30 so we do have dinner together everynight its so nice just to go out and not have to worry or listen out, or clean up and wash the dishes! Date night here I come!

I just had someone over and Amity went and opened her bedroom door, shut it behind her, pulled her nappy off and put poo everywhere again!! Its like she did it on purpose!!
Oh you poor thing!! Do you think she is dong it through jealousy towards sharing you with Griffin? A friend of mine had a similar age gap between your two and her older one really struggled with the baby. He acted up and was really naughty, she put aside two afternoons a week and had the baby looked after by her mum and spent "mummy time" with him. Within a few weeks his behaviour was really improved. He wasnt aggresive or anything to the baby just did lots of things that needed her full on attention, similar to the poo thing you are having. Anyway just a suggestion but I could be completely wrong.
I just hope things improve for you!

if you still want a visitor, i'll drop round on thurs anyway. i want to meet Griffin :)
still want to meet the other perth chickies too!!
Yep sounds good to me! I am dying to meet Harper!! Also, until i start work (wont be for a couple of weeks by the look of things as they are still setting up the new office) I am free on Fridays as well! So maybe we can even make one of the meets on a Friday if that suits everyone better.. Im fairly easy though.
Gemma - Your date night sounds fab! Sam and I used to do that when we just had Amity but find it a bit harder to get people that want to watch her now lol. Not that i blame them with her behaviour at the moment.
Not sure bout the jealousy thing. I try to spend as much time with her as possible during the day just drawing and reading books etc. She is never mean to Griffin though, she is always very loving and gives him lots of kisses and reads him books. I might see if i can get my MIL to have Griffin for a couple of hours maybe (if i can fit it in somewhere lol). Im more than willing to try anything!!

awww Lana I forgot to tell you O did the pooey thing too argh!
A while ago when he was actually having day sleeps lol BUT he pooed in his nappy then took it off put it in a neat pile in the corner then proceeded to fall asleep lying on his tummy,
So when i woke him he was lying on the floor nude with pooey on his um bot bot:eek: not a gd look heh!
I dont know what to say about Amity's lil preformance art she has going on lol but I guess shes very creative hehehehehe if you dont laugh (and slug back a couple of vodka and tonics) you'll strangle her hahahahahahaha
O's the same with Iris, very loving BUT i cant tell his a wee lil bit jealous all the same!
Thanks everyone for the positive thoughts BUT im slowly loosing my cool with this whole ordeal I just want to get out of here, get out of my mums house, get out of sydney.....maybe tasmania might be nice???? haha
ps gemma~ your date night sounds fab! You'd think living with my mum dh and i would be able to do that, but alas no he is way too tired after a week of working 6-7 days

Thanks Sarah! It does help to know that Amity isnt the only one lol! I dont doubt that Amity is jealous of Griff at times... Its only natural really. I just wish she wouldnt do things like the poo thing on purpose! She does it and then comes out to show me. Now that to me says that she wants attention and doesnt care if its bad attention BUT how can she be wanting more than what i already give her!? Griffin has to lay in his bassinet all bloody day because she is so demanding! Anyone?? Any suggestions??
I hope your house probs get sorted babe... Will you end up just buying an established one once you sell the block etc??

I love it when they finally sleep hey! Knowing my luck she wont do it again for another month for so!

Oh well lets pray that she keeps it up!!
I've done that before with Logan too - gone in there to check and he will be just laying there but then he will play up cause I have gone in there. I just stay out until I know for sure he is asleep!! He just called me in there before and held up his water bottle and said "mummy me more" too cute.
Forgot to say Harrisons mum we have the same toy puppy that was in the photo. Logan tries to play with Jacey using it, it was his toy as a bub!
well DH on his last nightshift and then 4 days off - yipee - well probably only 3 days off cause he is doing an extra day for $$. I really feel it...him doing that extra day. I dont know how you girls go when your hubbies work 6/7 days or away!! I get so exhausted!
Cant wait for a shower tonight and to watch Desperate Housewives!
is the the gastro one? is it routine over there?? i havent even been told about it by my dr.
Madi's paed recommended she get it, it's not routine, just an extra I guess. She got it done today, but spat half of it out, lucky the nurse was on the ball and sucked it back up in time. She seems fine, no reactions so far. Madi will be starting daycare in August when I return to work so glad I gave it to her. Great to know it's free from now on, be a relief for other new mums out there. I was told not to give panadol either, but I still did and glad I did as she was much more relaxed and had no side effects either.
Carrie, I am still coming on Wednesday! Looking forward to meeting up again. Madi can't wait to see Ella again. If not many ppl come do you want to do something else maybe?
Lana, glad Amity is sleeping for you. Hope it continues for you too. The joys of motherhood, things I have to look forward too. Do you find it easier looking after Griffin or Amity, does it get easier or harder. My SIL keeps telling me it only gets harder as they get older.....
Well I better go get some sleep before Madi wakes for her next bottle.
Good Night Ladies!

HI everyone,
it sounds like you all had good mothers days.:)
congrats on your bubs sleeping so well, I hope it keeps up for you all.
Ella had her neurosensory appointment today and her hearing is ok, she just has fluid on her right inner ear. Nothing they can do about that for a baby apparently. I hope it doesn't hurt her. May explain why she likes to sleep on her belly and lies on her right ear alot....then again maybe not.
Carrie and Nic- I'll have to miss the wednesday meet as I have a checkup for Ella at GP. only time they could get me in. I hope you both have a great time though.
havent read all the posts for the past few days-- too many to read tonight. Ella's just gone down so think i will go to sleep too.
Hi Bernie- nice to meet you. Cute pics too.
have a great night

Hehehe i find Griffin much easier to look after. Its hard when they get talk back to you and say "no". As a baby she was always pretty good, still very very alert all the time though and was only having one sleep from about 6 months! From what i have seen with my nephews, the time between 2 and 5 is the hardest... they become very headstrong and get frustrated easily.

Sharon love the pics of Ryan & Matthew and Bernie love the pics of your little man Harrison also! very cute.
ok update time... after all that its NOT mastitis! i knew it.. i've had it 3 times before and i am so much sicker this time and my boobs arent sore at all.. nor does feeding hurt. the different dr i saw today thinks its cellulitis. makes sense i guess coz i just googled the symptoms.. only thing that isnt on there is constant sick feeling in the pit of my stomach..
anyway im now on antibiotics.. i had to ring mum at work and ask her to come home.. she was meant to work 7-3 today but i rang her at like 8am(i burst into tears as soon as i heard her voice.. my poor mum!) and she was home within 20mins and works 15mins away! hehe. love my mum:yes: it was so bad.. i was so out of it and dizzy.. wouldnt even walk with A in my arms coz i was freaked i'd faint..
I now have 3 marks on my right arm.. one is sitting on the veins they take blood from the other two are a little above.. and 1 on the side of my finger.. i have pain running from the top of my arm to the side of the same finger the mark is on. the sorest spot is my hand.. feels like its really bruised like i've had a drip put in 10 times over. glands are still up under my arm and in my throat..
i have to let the dr know tomorrow if i am no better coz ihave been finding it hard keeping panadol down with my stomach like this so if they keep coming up i have to go to hospital. i just hope it doesnt get to that.
to top it off for some stupid reason i feel the worst at night and in the mornings.. so im gonna go lay down. so sorry i've missed so many posts.. i did read them but my memory is stuffed..
must say tho well done amity for sleeping!

Aww Sheree you arent having a very good run are you! What exactly is Cellulitis?? Im glad that your mum is there to help you out with the girls. Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and you will start to feel a bit better. You feel really drained especially with being so sick AND breastfeeding. B/F can be draining itself at times.. Really hope you feel better soon and that you dont need to go to hospital! Keep us posted! :hugs:

thanx lana. well i feel heaps better today.. umm as far as i know cellulitis is an infection in the tissue under the skin. its caused by a cut or sore getting infected and spreads.. with me it was the broken skin on my finger.. just not quite sure why it started at the top of my arm and worked down to my finger.. you'd think it would've done the opposite:confused: anyway i'll be getting the swab results tomorrow hopefully. my marks have lightened a little but my arm and hand are still really sore.
ok yous prob think im a huge sook  but i HATE taking tablets.. ofcourse i am anyway coz i hate feeling like this also but does anyone know any tricks to get them down easier.. especially with a sore throat??
oh whoops just realised its 8am! mikaelah only just woke up! hehe the other two were up before 7.. gotta take M to daycare for 9.. oh well might be a little late only one dressed is A! the rest of us are in pjs!

Sheree my mum used to crush the tablets up and put them on a spoon with some jam... That always made it easier to take when we were little and had a sore throat. Plus it tastes nice!!
Lol Amity is in day care today too. She woke me up at 7.20 so we are both ready. I just have to wake Griffin up now and change his bottom.
Hehehe i find Griffin much easier to look after. Its hard when they get talk back to you and say "no". Shezi, Madi was rushed to hospital the other week with facial cellulitis, she stayed there for a week and was in so much pain. Apparently children under 3 years of age have a high risk of dying from it. I am ever so lucky we caught it when we did and she is safe and sound. I hope you recover and rest up :hugs:
Brissy Girls - who is coming tomorrow? I am coming but just seeing if it's worth us going if only a few go? what do you think?

Shezi- so glad to hear you are on the mend :hugs: It must have been very scary for you!
With taking the tablets, I fill my mouth with water first, tip my head back, then drop the tablets in as I start to swallow (even those nasty big vitamin ones), DH says it's like I'm flushing the tablets down the toilet :o LOL
Lana- Great that Amity slept, boy you deserve this day of daycare, hehe, must be fun being able to concentrate on Griff alone for a bit! (THough I guess that aint a walk in the park either!)
LT-Great to have you back, sounds like a lovely holiday! The pattern arrived in the mail, thankyou!!! I am going to have fun with that, I've got some fleece so I might have a crack later. I made him some fleece longies the other day (will have to take a photo!) and they are working very well, so inspired to do more!
Bernie- lovely to meet you
Harrison is such a sweety! Look forward to getting to know you two better.
LL-love the tats!
Sorry to hear that there were a few Mother's Day letdowns, mine was very quiet. DH wanted to get me a vase so we went shopping (I didn't know what for until we arrived at the shops) but there were no nice ones, LOL, so might go choose one today (that way he can finally buy me flowers!) :D. I'm hoping next year he has the day off (and takes note of my request for a handmade card!).

poor little thing. atleast i can verbalise how i feel. having it as a bub mustve been so terrible. im glad your dr was quick to act and they got on top of it. they say children/babies are the most high risk. any idea how she caught it though?? sorry if tmi but did she get red marks on her face or any pus spots?? mine have actually got worse.. not sure about this but hoping my results are in tomorrow.
worked out a trick with the tablets.. stick it in a spoon full of yoghurt:thumbsup:
taryn yep its me and also michaela has had harper done.. her's where the recent tiles. it is a very simple process for her.. my mum looked into franchising as its a great business.. work your own hours and what not.. brenda(the owner) actually started out in her home and she had her son with her all the time. the reason mum pulled out was the upfront costs.. i'll try to find out how much it was coz ive gone blank.. you need to purchase a kiln that was the main cost. brendas hubby owns a tile shop which is connected to her inkyfeet office. so it works perfect for her!

we got tiles done for mothers day, after seeing pics of Shezi's. i just held Harper in my lap, she painted the sole of his foot and placed it straight onto the tile - very easy! not messy at all. it would be a good job, i think. not sure what a kiln would cost tho?!

It is $20K start up but I dont know if that includes a kiln or not. I spoke to brenda today and she is sending me some info. Might email her tonight and ask about the kiln.
