That's amazing, and good on her, she looked so different after running, how buff was she?!! OMG, should get my running shoes on! Is that what she thinks made a difference, physically she was fitter or do you think mentally aswell? She's inspirational, good on her!

Amazing. I also need to remind myself that a VBAC or VBA2C, VBA3C, etc is just a normal birth. We are just the same as every other laboring woman.

I asked Teresa what she wished she'd been told when she was first pregnant - here's her reply (I have her permission to quote her)
"I think the most important thing to know is that "No one else can do this but you. You are the ONLY one who can do this. And you CAN do it. The strength is there, inside of you. You have everything you need to birth your baby. And while it will be the hardest work you have ever done, there will be nothing else that will ever come close to being as rewarding when it's all over with. THe work is worth the reward!!"
That's what I wish someone had said to me. Just to continue to reiterate to me that I *CAN* do this, there's no doubt about it...I was designed to birth my babies. I don't need a doctor to save me, drugs to numb me, or a scalpel to cut me open. I can birth my baby. That's the most important thing in my opinion."

Isn't that just brilliant?! That sort of thing sums up why I'm a doula - it just doesn't get any better than that. I'd love to contact that amazing woman, as I'm writing a book on VBAC in Australia....was that Australian footage?
oh wow, i held back the tears, felt a little emotional. all i can say is WELL DONE and congratulations. :yelclap:
The song was the thing that nearly pushed me over to sobbing.
That is amazing. Know anyone in Perth like you? That vid brought me to tears. I am trying to find a Dr in Perth who will support me in VBAC and that was truly inspirational!
