Poor step-son

My step-son aged 9 was due to have an acess visit with his mum today.
These visits HAVE to be supervised by Child & Family Services Support Workers and they do pick up and drop off etc...
Well they arrived at 10.30am to collect him and he was really excited to see his mum as it had been a month or more...
Poor little fellow was back withing 5 minutes..
The support worker got to the car and got a phone call to say the visit had been cancelled!!
This little boy was so so upset...
Why oh why does this stupid poor excuse for a mother do this to her kids? (She has 2 others that she was due to see today as well).

DSS cried and cried...:(

I was so so angry as we had cancelled footy so he could see her and all :banghead: :banghead:
She'll never wake up to herself!!
She is a waste of space in my eyes and doesnt deserve to be called a MUM...this isnt the first time she has done that and it wont be the last.

I know what you are going through as my sons dad did this to him once and he still remembers is today and that was 3 yrs ago. But in saying that he has a good realtionship with his dad now.

her excuse was probably "had a hangover" or "out of smokes cant deal with kids for 2hrs today"
or too many blokes at her door....or her place was trashed from another all nighter..

Sorry but she isnt the nicest of people...and doesnt really give a rats...that is why family services have 2 of her 5 children.. they had 3 but now we have 1....

you know she only sees the children for two hours per fortnight and this looks like it is going to be made less as well when the new orders go through..
And she left ot to THE last minute before cancelling visit...that is just slack...

its not just slack its disgusting. Does she have the other children then?? By the sounds of it she shouldn't!!

She needs to commit to being an active and GOOD role model in her childrens lives, they need a mother, fair enough she may not be able to handle raising them.. some mothers can't, but shes not even trying by the sounds of things and that is so sad for her children :(
