What are your top "feel good" girlie movies?

I always loved "The Princess Bride" when I was growing up, Cary Ewles yuuuuuuuum... and last night watched "THe Wedding Date" on DVD and I have to say it is a cute little movie, I really liked it. THe guy, Dermot Mulroney, is a HOTTIE and it has a few cheesy lines in it... such as "I would miss you even if I'd never met you" - awwww shucks!! :p love it! Needless to say DH thought it was a cringe-a-thon with some funny bits, but hey, it's a chick flick!!

I just saw 'Just Like Heaven' -

Me too!!

I was surprised how non-cliche it was! Great story line and great actor's - worth seeing!! :)

Also just saw "Beauty Shop" with Queen Latifah - also a great story and very funny with a bit of romance thrown in (Kevin Bacon does a hilarious take off of a European hair stylist!).

Yeah I was pleasantly surprised with JLH...thought it would be a Ghost knock off but it wasn't! :) I thought the actors melded very well.

Can't go past Ever After for a great feel good movie / Chick Flick.

I quite enjoy The Wedding Planner and Maid in Manhattan also (though not really a J. Lo acting fan)

I too love The Princess Bride and I used to love Cary Elwes until he turned into Cary Ewwww (lol). Maybe it was just that he was playing the "baddie" in Ella Enchanted - I am always up for some Robin Hood Men in Tights action! :)

If you want to see some bad Cary Elwes try American Crime (it is absolutely bleh!) and from what I've been told, Saw. I also didn't like him in Liar Liar. None of these would classify as a chick flick though! Sorry for digressing!!!

Back on topic: 50 First Dates is a favourite along with How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Not sure on the chick flick but Seven Brides for Seven Brothers is a musical and my all time fave movie.
