My DH got his motorbike licence yesterday and is going on his first roadtrip to Rockhampton on his own today! He's had a lot of practice riding with his dad and everything but i can't help but be terrified! He just left and i'm crying, how pathetic is that?
I'm sure he'll be ok, i'm going shopping with my mummy now to try and take my mind off it! :)

I totally understand how you feel. My DH has a motorbike, though his is more of a cruiser than a racing bike, and I felt sick every morning when he went to work. We lived at Keperra when he first got it and would ride to Fisheman Island to work. I'd be in an aboslute state of panick if he were even 10 minutes late home!
I'm sure he'll be fine though.
Try not to worry about him all day!

I understand how you feel too.. My DH has been riding for over 10 years now so I worry a little less but when we first got together I would worry constantly until I heard from him when he got home...

The worrying does become less...
Enjoy your day

Not pathetic at all! I was wondering about your message this morning and I knew I'd find the answer somewhere on here.
*hugs*
He'll be OK, and you know that, but it doesn't help, I know.

Call me if you need, yanno, 3am and such :D

Scott talked about getting a bike once I said NO WAY. My dad used to ride a bike, I think he had a few near misses. But don't worry I'm sure he will be fine. And it's not pathetic at all, I stay up waiting and worrying about DH going out with his friends in a car because i know the way his friend drives his car.
Shopping is definately the cure - even better if your mum is the one spending the money :p

Thanks everyone! I don't feel so silly about it now!

I do feel much better now! He's called me every time he's stopped today, he's made 3 stops. He should be almost there now so i feel much more relaxed! I'll just have to go through it all again when he comes back in a couple of days!

I remember getting a phone call from one of my friends, she said she was in the car following her husband home from buying his new motorbike. She then added that she'd already made a call to their insurance company (whilst she was following him in the car) and upped his life insurance!:o

I don't think that it's pathetic to worry about the people you love. I hope your DH has a safe trip home and that you enjoy your shopping! :D
