DS had his 1 yr shots 2 days ago. since then he has had the runjs twice, vomited once and is now sweating crazily. is this quite common after these shots? i am starting to get a little worried. he has a very mild rash on his face to, but i was warned that would happen. i wasnt warned of anything else.

Sorry, doesn't sound normal to me i would be tempted to go see GP.
Maybe a passing virus but maybe worth checking.

DD didnt have any reaction, i know that some children can but that seems to be a bit too much

Just looked up vic gov site about reactions and except for rash nothing like you described.
Don't want to panic you but think I would go up the hospital and get baby checked out unless your Gp is still open.
:fingerscrossed: Hoping all is ok and I'm just being over cautious with my opinion.

HI there,
I would also say, please get him checked out and if your instincts are saying something is wrong, don take no for an answer.
Good luck and keep an eye on your bub tonight:hugs:

We just had huge dramas this week the day after Gem's 12 month jabs.................temp of 40.1 degrees
She ended up being admitted to hospital overnight.................but everyone kept telling me that it's very unlikely to be the immunisations as if babies do develop a reaction to them it doesn't usually appear for 7 days or something...............admittedly I haven't had time to sit down and read all the product information for the shots yet. So like in Gem's case...............it could be something else. Definitely best to get him checked out

OK I've read all the blurb for the 12 month shots....
Hib and Hep B possible reactions - low grade fever or soreness at injection site.......and if they occur, it is soon after the immunisation
MMR - 7 to 10 days after immunisation, low grade fever, faint rash, cough and/or puffy eyes, drowsiness
Mening. C - loss of appetite, headache, low grade fever, being grizzly.....and if they occur, it is soon after the immunisation
So vomiting and diarrhorea are not listed as common reactions & the rash shouldn't have appeared for 7 days..........however that's not to say that the immunisations didn't cause it. Again, best to have him assessed. Hope he's feeling well soon :hugs:

thanx for that. well its now only 5 days past immunisation, he has a cough, slightly hot, light rash and is very grizzly. did it say how long it will take for him to feel better?
