My bub can't seem to play much on her own. When she wakes up,I play with her for a while and then leave her on her own,but she cries a lot. This happens most of the time and I'm afraid she always wants someone around her or something...she starts crying the moment I'm out of sight and I'm not able to do anything much....Does anyone else have this problem?:(
It is because she WUVS you:kiss: and cant fend for herself at the moment.
Its normal and natural.....believe me, they are happy to play without their mummas when they get older:yes:
:hugs:
Have you thought about using a sling? It may help you to get some things done with your hands free and she will feel secure and safe at the same time:)
I used to sit mine in the pram or rocker and drag them around the house with me if I had to do things. That way they could see me and I could talk to them whilst I was doing things.
I also used one of those Bumbo seats, I used to put it on the bench when i was cooking (away from the stove obviously).
More often than not they are happy if they can see you.

Hi
I do have a sling,but I don't use it much,only when I go out or so.
I just want her to play on her own for a while on the floor, but she cries the moment I'm out of sight. She won't let me do anything else, like cooking and stuff. Is this normal at this age?

My DS was super clingy and refused to play on his own until he was around 9 - 10 months.
Now he amuses himself quite happily, normally by chasing the cats around the house
YEah. I think it is normal.....my DD is 6months and exactly the same.
Once they start getting mobile, they are happier because they can go exploring!
A swing or bouncer or highchair near wherer you are is a good idea:yes:
Ds was always like this, still is to a point. It gets better when they can do things for themselves like crawl and walk, but ds still doesn't like for me to walk away from him, he is ok if he goes off to play. Ds is nearly 17mths and it does get frustrating because I can't get any housework done while he is awake but the older he gets the happier he is to entertain (ie get up to mischief) himself.
What I learnt is to enjoy being loved (as annoying as it can be) because it won't be long before they don't want a bar of you.

My DS is exactly the same too. They do it because they love you and they don't want to be alone. The way I get around it if I really have to do something and can't hold him is to put him in the pram and take him around the house with me.
