Hi
I really hope someone can help me!
We started training our son 2.5 about a month ago. It was all going well - but we struck trouble about 2 weeks ago. DS is in daycare full time, and was in undies. He was having accidents and getting "distressed" and "embrassed". I/We backed off and Daycare suggested pull ups or training pants. However, he is now getting really bad nappy rash (it is now raw). We are in cross road - do we put him back into nappies (DH has used only babies wear nappies so now I think DS is too embrassed to wear them :banghead: ) or back into undies or is it worth trying training pants?
Should stop training and leave it for a couple of months?
He will go at home off and on. We have started putting the potty our lounge to encourage him to go. Despite not going at all at daycare he will have a wee first thing at home during the week and we only have a couple of accidents at home during the weekend.
I think he will in all likelihood be trained at home and not at daycare which is not ideal.
He started asking to go at 2. He seems to be ready - he's usually dry after he wakes from his naps.
I know in hindsight that I pushed DS a bit too hard. I'm kicking myself as I think we have screwed this up.
