There could be a number of reason's, but you would have to have yourself and partner checked out by a Dr or IVF specialist (that is checking that both reproductive organs are in working order).
The most common one's would have to be for men - low sperm count and for women - problems with ovulation or their cycle.
They will only check you out medically if you have been trying for a year.
I had all the test's under the sun and it turned out to be endometriosis (cysts in my uterus) which I had removed in an operation (laproscopy).
Is this question posed to anyone in particular? Or to everyone?
Took me 20 cycles to concieve my son, I was fertile, DH was fertile, there was no reason why it took so long because we timed it well every cycle.
Alot of the time infertility is unexplained, all you can do is time it well each time and hope for the best.
Remember even if both you and your partner are fertile and you do time it perfectly every time, there is approximately 20-25% chance of successful pregnancy. Makes you wonder how so many accidents happen!
Good luck everyone.

Tommy Bob.....I wonder the exact same thing also (accidents). A work collegue of mine just has to walk past a guy in the bar and she's p/g.
My DH and have been trying for 8 months now and in that time I know of 4 ppl that are p/g and another few that just gave birth.
Life.....you can't explain it.
oops so sorry I mistyped your name Tommy Bub in my post....my apologies

I couldn't conceive for 3 years and was then diagnosed with PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome for those not familiar). A week after that diagnosis I was pregnant! But I still do have PCOS - couldn't give it away! :D
