I think ds and dd have my skin problem,Serena just takes the woolies off where as Sasha wont sleep with them on kicks up a big fuss and my psychic reading actually pointed that out.

So does anyone else's bub act like this when they have it on?Is anyone else's bubs allergic or sensitive to wool,i think i actually prefer the pul and fleece anyway:thumbsup:

no, he may have a fleece issue, but the wool is fine to date. Could it be the lanolin? Some babies are allergic to it, maybe spot test? Or the wool itself, is it organic?

DD cracks a narky when I put longies on her, but once they are on she is fine- no rashes or anything. But I am having an organic pair made to see if it makes a difference as she never acted like this with the soakers.

I think some kids just hate the feel of wool on their skin. I hated it as a kid. My DS will only wear a wollen jumper with a skivy on underneath so that none of the jumper touches his skin.

He is OK with longies but i guess his legs might not be as sensitive as his neck and arms.

Its not uncommon to be allergic to Lanolin. It is a wool byproduct. I remember the old pure wool blankets being really itchy as a kid although they don't seem to bother me as a adult.....

There are so many types of wool, too. I am in the middle of knitting up some Cleckheaton 12 ply that feels a bit scratchy and rough to me. Yet I also have merino yarn from The Knittery which doesn't even feel like wool... it's heavenly. Luckily, Ariene's fine in whatever these days. At the begining though, I wouldn't have been surprised if she rashed up in the rougher stuff (although I wouldn't have put her in anything but the softest).

I haven't even tried wool on DD. Me and my mum and her mum all cannot wear wool. I don't think we are allergic as such, but as soon as we wear something with wool it just scratches us and makes us feel "on edge". Even things that is just a wool blend or really "soft" wool. I can tell when a jumper has wool in it!
So I think it might just be the same with your kids. Hope they feel better soon being out of wool!
