Hi,
At what age do you start training your bub to drink from the sipper cups?
What brands of cups have people found good? I was looking at the Tommee Tippee or Avent range.
Should I start by expressing a little breast milk and putting it into a sipper cup? Then when he starts solids, I can start putting water?
Any help would be much appreciated.

We introduced a sippy cup at around 6 months (if I remember correctly..), though it took a while for DD to get the hang of it.
Initially she wouldn't take it at all, then we got a softer spout and she would drink from it if one of us was holding it for her.
On advice from another mum I would leave the cup of water with her when she was playing and she eventually picked it up and had a drink - no turning back since.
We use the Pigeon MagMag cup - you can get a set which comes with the cup, a teat, a sippy spout, and a straw top for later, for around $20.

BFing bub here too....and we used the pigeon magmag one too. Bub is 9 months and we use the soft spout still.
Started when she started solids (5 and half months) by using it at play times with a little water in it...I tipped it up for her a couple of times then she got the hang of it herself.
Also another one is the 'nuby' sipper cup from Tommee tippie (i think) which would be just as good as the magmag I think.
good luck :D
we gave all our kids sippy cups at 6 months ... last one was only bottle fed one i took that off her at 12 months & shes only had a cup since .. now shes just about of that.. can drink from normal cups etc .. & has a drink bottle at daycare
hi buy a cup that has soft top. Some brans have different parts that grow with the child and i found that great. Start with boiled water in a cup so child gets used to drinking water . As my son is 17months old and loves drink water. I didnt give him anything else. Then when he was i started introducing other drinks.
