ok so after reading everyones many posts i have decided i need to find out about these nappies well i ordered one and aa im in love and she hasnt even worn it yet lol its just sitting drying at the moment but i love them already

my question is apart from the outer what is the soaker part like really as good as a green kids or do i need to extra boost. also its says that you can just put a new insert in for next nappy change but doesnt wee run through onto the cover do u find you just change the whole nappy??

im thinking if i really like this one now im gonna stock up just cause i love the minki so much so will have a few gks to go maybe

can you please tell me which you prefere out of

firestorm/sunrise and lavenderfields/northan lights/purple people eater as the kinda look similar in the pics

or should i just get rid of all my napps and get them all lol:laughing:

thanks heaps

You wont be disappointed at all with the performance of the nappy. They are quite absorbent enough as is with the snap-in layers.

Once the nappy needs changing i change the whole nappy.. i don't re-use the cover. I noticed that it smells a bit and is a little damp after the first use.

I have all that you asked about, and honestly it's a toss up between the Sunrise and Northern Lights.

I can only answer the insert question. It's awesome! Apart from BBB's and wool it's the only night nappy that won't leak like a tap for my DD.

If they were for day wear, I'd say you could easily just change the insert.

I have a little squirt Renee so i don't use liners at all on any of my nappies. However, poo washes off mink quite easily compared to say.. suede cloth.

Is the WHOLE nappy minke? Outside AND inside??

No the inner of the cover is Pul but on part of the snap-in it has mink so it's nice a soft against bubs bum.

Ahh - that makes sense. So what is the insert made of? hemp? minke? bamboo? Or do you just use microfleece or something?

I've taken this from the Jamtots site for you PL.

Here we offer additional snap-in soakers sold seperately -- just snap a new one in your BerryPlush AIO or cover until the outer shell is soiled! Available in size small, medium and large and either all organic hemp fleece (8 layers total when folded) or 7 layers of organic hemp fleece topped with a layer of white minkee to fit your BerryPlush AIOs/Covers. These organic hemp fleece snap in soakers absorb a TON, wash thoroughly and dry super fast-you won't be disappointed!

and this is what they look like - Click (http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j275/KarniF00l/Dakotas%20Nappies/snap-in.jpg)

The white bit is the minke, the two side bits you fold in underneath the mink.

Oh - one more question :o

Do many ppl find that the covers ARE re-usable? Or is it usually best to start fresh?? Is it worthwhile having a few spare inserts with the notion of changing JUST the insert?

I never change just the insert, I replace the whole nappy - because usually the PUL is a bit damp, I guess it depends on how heavy a wetter you have :p

with breast fed poos i end up changing the whole nappy.

i have one spare insert and have only changed it like that once since i've had them which is a while.

I'm not sure what others do but like i said a few posts back... personally i don't re-use them again, the cover smells after the first use so i have the same about of covers as i do snap-ins.

Ahhh - thats what I thought would happen with these expectant explosive poos!! I wont bother getting extra inserts then. Thanks for that!

My fallen angel - what size are your BP's? If they're small - when will you be done with them?!? LOL

i find i can sometimes reuse the cover, depends if he's had an explosive poo or huge wee. smaller wees are fine. i have a bunch of extra snap-ins for when i want to reuse the cover
