He has leukimea(sp??) and would like to enter the guiness book of records for the most with comps slips recieved from company's. So if anyone out there has a business or works somewhere that would like to send a with comps slip to the little boy, please let me know and I will PM you the address.

What does the letter say? Are you sure it's not a chain letter like these?

No, I don't have the original letter with me(as it's still at work). The original letter was sent from Ronald McDonald house(on proper letterhead - 1 page explaining the circumstances etc and 1 listing where they sent it on), listing all the places that they had sent the letter to(8 places) and as the letter was sent on, a photocopy of the last letter was attached. So what I recieved was about 8 photocopied letters(all on participating company letterhead) then an original letterhead from the place where I got it. Each letter says who they sent it on to.

i got one of these last year at my work and we started to post it on and we received a call from somewhere saying its all a hoax dont bother sending it on... i forget the whole story behind it (preg brain) so maybe call ronald macdonald house on the number on the letterhead and check its authenticity before sending it on...

I think this is sort of like what cobysmummy said. We've had similar things over the years, where we've been asked to send business cards to a boy 12yrs who had cancer to get into the Guiness book of records. It's always been the same boy and it was care of a teacher in SA. I contacted the teacher, to check how old the story was. The boy was 18 in remission and the teacher didn't really have antyhing to do with it, somehow his name had ended up as the contact and he was mighty sick of getting cards! So I let everyone know who was on the letters etc. It's worth checking these things before just sending them on, letters or emails, you can often cause more harm than good.
