is that enough to stay in for at least half the night?? She had a hell of a time tonight, and I thought I would be changing her again, but now she is finally down, I think she probably wont wake up until around midnight, and she has been in it since 4.30pm, do you think it will hold till then??

I wouldn't wake her to change her, she'll wake when she's ready or if she's uncomfortable.

I change K before her feed, and then just check her before I put her into bed, she usually hasn't wet in that time frame.

From memory though even at 4 weeks I used the long boosters.

Cheers

thanks, I had planned on putting the long booster and the bamboo one on her for the night, didnt think getting her to go to sleep would drag on this long.. ah well, worst case scenario will be a wet baby and a wet bed I guess throughout the night...

I have always used the long booster with the front of nappy folded down...and at night will use both inserts...bulkier but they are going to bed anyways.

yeah, well that didnt work, long booster from now on, not sure the wool cover worked too well either though...

The wool will only work if the nappy is absorbant enough. Have you lanolised it?

I did lanolise it with the spray stuff, it was pretty wet, so think I put enough on, but as that was my first time doing it, maybe I didnt do a good job  It doesnt smell this morning though, so I am guessing thats a good sign?

If it doesn't smell, it's worked, but a nappy/cover will only hold so much. Did you end up changing in the night?

she woke up at 11pm, and her clothes and bunny rug were wet, but hadnt gotten to the bed yet. the wool cover didnt feel as wet as her wondersuit. Maybe the pul cover is a better option for nights...

Nope wool is the better option, but you'll need more boosting. We've not had leaks in wool at all, and Katherine used to sleep in a wondersuit and double wrapped.

Wool is the best cover overnight - but it will "leak" if the nappy isn't boosted enough.

You could put 2 long bamboo boosters in it? Fold them so they're thickest where she wee's (for my boy, it's in the front.. but for girls I think the best place to bulk it up is more in the middle).

wool is better by far!

you just need to boost the nappy some more

i use both inserts with DS at night and a wool cover and never had a leak!

only pooplosions out the side
haha
