Ok i have been thinking i saw some wool material being sold off cheap at spotlight if i get this can i use it as a water proof cover. The material was sort of like those old army style wool blankets but nuch softer and nicer looking iykwim. If i do make a cover out of this what would be the best way to do it stich and turn of FOE.
The Sherpa that everyone talks about is that like the poly cotton sherpa avaiable at spotlight?
Last for now Microfiber cloths do you use a whole one in asoaker pad or do you cuth them into half or thirds and sew them in between other absorbent materails like hemp.

Sorry for all the questions i think im addicted i just cant stop thinking about nappies.:D

sherpra i havent seen at spotlight. Its a rich cotton fleece i think. really soft and fluffy kinda.

Wool stuff is it like a wool jumper? Like the machine knitted ones i mean? If it is it should be ok maybe have an extra layer in the wet zone? I would foe that one. Microfibre is probly best on top of hemp/bamboo as it will absord the wee better

OK.....deep breath :p

To start with the wool fabric would be great depending on the % of wool in the blend. I am guessing 80% + would be the best, and you could make it similar to a BBH wool wrap?

The Sherpa at Spotlight is cotton/poly I think it's 80/20. Spotlight calls it cotton rich fleece. In the last catalogue it was on sale, but the regular bolt price is $12.95/m

I use pocket nappies mostly so I use a full microfibre cloth folded into three for Noahs Peapods, and I've made smaller boosters which are 2 layers of microfibre cloth, (so I get three strips out of one Kenco cloth=1.5 booster)

I always put the microfibre booster on top of the hemp insert, and then stuff into the nappy
