When we switched our telephone over to AAPT apparently for some reason I agreed to online billing. This was a while ago when I was still able to sit at the computer for hours being tricky.
I say that because I also set up my email so that certain messages go straight into a folder to avoid them being accidentally deleted.
Anyways I was looking at my emails last night and saw I had 5 unread messages in my finances folder, opened it up and they all said "your account is ready to be viewed online".
I logged into our account (after searching frantically for the details) and realised I haven't paid the phone or Internet bill for 5 months and owe them almost $700!!!!!!
The stupid part is that we moved house 2 months ago and I changed everything over and not once did they say anything, or have I received any overdue notices.
Has anyone else had a massive oversight like this??? Please say so, cause I feel like the biggest dork.
how weird, they actually let you not pay for 5 months. i know with optus, i had $80 owing which i totally forgot about they sent me a letter threatening me with legal action etc! and a $35 late fee too.(it was 2 months late)

its never happened to me, but surely they should have sent you some type of notice or given you a phone call to say ' your account has X $ outstanding'
Im with AAPT if mines overdue after about 1.5 weeks i get a phone call from an automated msg telling me to pay:laughing:

I'm with AAPT and they always send me an overdue notice if even one day late
hehe my ex used to get constant phonecalls and letters for bills even if one day late, whereas I never get them (both from telstra) then again, if Im going to pay late I always ring them

When DH and I moved in together, we just redirected all mail, and I started opening everything, and paying bills. One day, a bigpond bill for $200 arrived, so he got on the phone to Telstra to give them a serve... as far as he was concerned, he had been paying the bill for the last seven months (as long as he'd had the service connected) They said "no, never received any money". So we sat and scratched our heads, and had a think about thinks.... turns out hubby had been paying a Telstra bill (for the house phone) and when another bill arrived a couple of weeks later, he just threw it in the bin, without opening it! He hadn't paid the bigpond for all that time, and they NEVER followed it up. On the other hand, we missed paying the September phone bill (was the month we got married), and two days after our return from honeymoon, they disconnected the house phone, without warning!! We ended up changing to Optus, and haven't had a problem since!
That had happened to us with water bill as we decided to do it via internet than paper bills in mail... so I can pay them online instead as had no car was a hassle getting to shops by bus etc but now have a car but anyway..
water bill it had happened to us and yet we never received the online billings at all.. after some time I thought gee its a long time since we haven't had our water bill online... i realised it was when we had changed the option from paper bill to online bill we hadn't had one... so I rang them and asked them to explain and apparently they had a computer problem so no bills were sent out either paper or online so we "got" free water.. they agreed to waive it as it was their fault it wasn't much it was something like 200 dollars for about 4 months... its 3months billing...
ring ur company and see if u can get an arrangement pay it off as time goes by???

I had it happen once with AAPT without them notifying me either. I wondered why my bill was so big, and then realised i hadn't paid the previous month!
5 months is a long time for them to leave it without telling you though....:detective:
My brother didn't pay his AAPT bill for 2 months and they disconnected his phone and internet until they were fully paid up. It's a wonder they let you go for so long without contacting you.

we had this happen with telstra, but it was only 2 months worth of bills... it was still enough to scare us and not do online billing again!!
