Medications/Allergies

Hi there

Does anyone suffer from allergies, and if so, do you know what medications are safe to take for them whilst pregnant? I am TTC#1, but need to take antihistamines quite often, just worried about what happens when I DO fall preg, am I going to go insane itching, and not be able to do anything about it??? I know should ask GP, just wondering if anyone else had similar problem?

It probably depends what kind of allergies you have. Most allergy meds are not good for pregnancy or lactation but if you consult a homeopath and naturopath they'll be able to find something perfectly safe for you :) Worked for me!

Thanks so much Janet, I might just do that! I don't want to be taking anything that might harm my baby (when I manage to get one in there!!(hee hee)!:)

I have allergies but couldnt keep anything down while pregnant so it meant i couldnt take antihistamines anyways lol.
But as JanetF said talk to a naturopath or your doctor as they will advise whats best :)
