I know there are a few little toddler train freaks out there somewhere (like my little one)...so thought I'd mention that the Brisbane Model Train show is on at the RNA Showgrounds this coming 5th, 6th and 7th of May.

Thanks for that. I've read about it somewhere before but forgot it again.

We may go as well. Our big one loves trains. It started a couple month ago with Thomas and now everywhere he sees a train, we have to stop and watch the train.

Unfortunately, there aren't that many steamtrains around anymore.

Have a look at the QR website. They have steam train Sunday. There is also the Mary Valley Rattler up at Gympie. We are going up there for a little holiday soon to go for a ride.

I had a look but it's quite expensive. I don't think it's worth yet, maybe, when he's a bit bigger.

:laughing: ...that will be my little one too....we have now had to bring his doggy backpack lead out of storage as he has started running off again...so if you see us...say hello!!!!

Thanks for the info! We will have to take DS as he is Thomas obsessed at the moment. Think I might take a Thomas toy with us otherwise my kid will be the one trying to steal the trains to take them home LOL!

We are also going to Southbank this weekend because the Budha festival is on 4-6 May. I saw all the massive red lights hanging up last year and looked amazing whien driving along the Riverside expressway, so I want to go check it out. I have NO idea what will be there but Im soooooo hoping there is a Chinese Dragon or something as Seth would LOVE it!

Actually I have a nearly 3 year old, who's obsessed with trains but I just doubt, he would sit still for so long and not running out and about..

The little one, he's only 5 mths, he doesn't really care about trains at the moment. And I already fear the day, he gets into trains and starts taking his brothers trains away...

But the model show sounds alright, he will def love that.

Just thought Id add this for the Dad's who are taking their sons....

The Annual QLD Hotrod and Street Machine Show is also on at the RNA showgrounds (different section) this long weekend. I personally love the Cars as I grew up in a racing/hotrod family so looking forward to it.

We are making a day of things and going to the Trains, then the Cars, then Southbank for the Budha festival. May as well considering they are all relatively close.

that's another reason my DP is soooo eager to go...not just to take bub to see the trains...but for himself and the hotrods :laughing:
