View Full Version : dry pailing and soaking wet nappy
does it matter if the nappy is wet when you dry pail?
I tried to rinse it, not that it worked very well, so now its all wet of course. Think I will just chuck it in the bucket as is next time, and maybe try to rinse before putting it in the machine down in the laundry.
No, it doesn't matter... The nappies that I squirt end up sopping, and I just put them in the nappy bucket with the others. I would rather do that than leave it pooey - it is more likely to stain if you wait to clean it off. Although, in the early months I didn't squirt them, and they washed up fine (I was washing every day or 2nd day).

I rinse, sqeeze the excess water into the loo, and put it in the bucket, after pulling any inserts out of course
lol, I wash a minimum of 2 loads a day anyway, (the only disadvantage of having 5 kids), so I just rinse, and take out inserts (pocket girl here), then throw in the wash for the next load, so they dont sit for too long wet anyway, but I believe that you put them in the bucket wet/rinsed, till wash time..
