My first attempt...don't laugh!

So I finally bit the bullet on the weekend and started sewing.

I'm still too scared to cut up my bamboo though, so it's just a pocket:laughing:

It's okay....it works, and it fits, but I have a bit of tinkering to do with the pattern now that I've made one. It's nowhere near as cool as Zoe's elmo nappy, but I'm working up to that!

And was it hard putting the patternd fabric on the tabs? I've been wanting to try that but it looks difficult :detective:

Zoe its not too hard at all.... I did that with my first lots of nappies, but changed when i did my latest pattern.

It's fleece outer with another layer in the wetzone and suedecloth inner.

The tabs weren't that tricky actually (much, much easier than getting the elastic in the right place:o ), and now that I've done them once, I sort of know how to go about it next time around so that it's even easier!

Go on - try it:D I've seen what you can do - the tabs will be a breeze:yes:

I got it from Lincraft - it's their premium anti/low pill polar fleece, something like that:laughing: . It feels quite nice actually, really nice and soft. Now we just have to see how well it fairs after a few washes. :fingerscrossed:
