Keep feeding her round the clock and she'll always have plenty to eat regardless of what she weighs. Those charts are based on ff babies and are not an accurate reflection of bf babies. Watch how alert and happy she is and you'll see the real miracle of bf at work!
Glad you're feeling groovy, go the boobs!

I'm sorry, but you are frightening me with that thought!!

I had plenty for #1, I had an abundance and plenty more for #2, and the thought of ...........an abdundant oversupply for #3 shortly............I've only just managed to lose the divets in my shoulders from the bra straps from the last feeding effort.

I don't quite know what to make of the GP telling me on Friday that my DD (16wks) was quite good for a bf baby, referring to her size. Was she expecting a poor malnourished bf baby? She then went onto laugh about ff babies!!

I think that most of the "average" and "standard" weight info are based on ff babies and some BF mothers are under pressure to supplement when their babies don't have these weight gains GRRR  (sorry its all a bit personal).

I actually had a great pro BF paed who put my mind at ease about DD1 weight gains, which were consistently below "average" but he was happy with them. So perhaps this is what she's alluding to, the fact that your baby has terrific weight gains, where other BF babies might not? (not psychic though). I wouldn't stress over her comment at all - you're doing GREAT.

Cheers

Oh No x - I wasn't worried about it. I just thought it was a strange comment, because the first time I took this bub to see this Dr. she was on the boob. The Dr. made some sort of comment about what was I doing and I said to her "You of all people should be encouraging it"!

I had to move my baby girl out into the cot last night, I certainly don't want to give up bf in a hurry either. It is bad enought that DD1 is off to pre-school in a couple of weeks.
