What was your first MCN?

My first MCN was actually a Bummis Training Pants for my 3 year old...it wasn't until ds was born and researched terry folds that i stumbled across the mad and wonderful world of mcn addiction!!

absolute first purchase was some fleece covers from ebay, no brandname. then i made a nappy from old terry flats and a flannelette sheet, and got bitten by the bug and kept making them!

My first MCN was a Baby Beehinds Bulk Pack. I had done my research (well I thought I had) and since I was going to have two in nappies I went for the bulk option!

Then I discovered there was so much more out there!!! But you know at the end of the day..... I always pick a BBB before anything else!

I came across Cushie Tushies on Ebay about a month before bub was born. So I got them, then bought a stack of Peapods as well.
For 6 months I just used Cushie Tushies and Peapods, until when bub was 6 months old, Snata brought her some BBH's an some GK's. Then I became addicted :D

it took me about a week to like the bbb, i think it was the drying time that put me off. Now i'm waiting for my bulk pack. Ordered 2 weeks ago... so hopefully only another 2 weeks to wait!

Bought the peapod 2 large, and it leaked. Luke was a kg off the medium so i thought it might do, learned my leason there. I then picked up a small second hand one.. and no leaks. Lent the large to my sil in the hopes of a convert!

I got a BabyBehinds Bamboo and a cover. It took me all of 5 minutes to become addicted :laughing: The rest is history (like all our spare $$ nowdays)

I discovered a peapod in a baby shop when I was pregnant. I would have remained in ignorance of MCNs if not for that. It spurred to look online & find oz cloth nappies.

THEN i discovered MCNs about 5 weeks ago, now i am addicted and he's a full-time cloth bum. still waiting on the baby beehinds everyone raves about...

Nic Nap's AIO's where the first ones I would consider MCN :-) The very first ones I got from another ebay seller where c***- I ripped them open a couple of months back- the so called waterproofing looked like it was taken out of a kite, and was not waterproof at all & the "soaker" that was meant to be hemp, was 3 layers of terry towelling out of a very sad and old terry flat :-D Thank god for Nic Nap's or I would have given up then and there! (I ordered them about the same time)

TJ's first bought MCN was GK's. I've got a HoneyBoy coming and a heap of homemade ones just for home. When my bank account stops looking so ill, I will be getting a heap more GK's and more fabric to make my own. Ones that can be worn out.:o (Most of my homemade ones are made from old T-shirts and fleece I bought to make stuff for myself.)

Before that I had bought some cheapies from ebay but never really used them as I gradually built up a stash of quality nappies. In the meanwhile I used flats and soaker (http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/searchbrowse?q=soaker&psc=G&filter=1&cuname=mychildrensmother#1)s that I knitted myself.
