We have a wedding to go to and they have asked for bunnings vouchers. What is a reasonable amount for the voucher as a wedding present?????
I would spend the same amount on the voucher that I would spend on a gift for them...
For us, that means $50 for "friends" and $100 for "good/best friends"....

I would put in what you can afford. At my wedding, I was happier for people to come than the stuff they got me!! But otherwise I agree with the above - but less isnt necesarily bad! You usually have expenses that have happened because u are going to the wedding.,
Probably between $50 and $100 depending on how close they are to you:)

yup thats what we do too
$50 if you are going to the wedding by yourself - $100 if you are a couple.

I would give $100
Depending on what you can afford.
But as already said... $50-$100 seems reasonable.
Depending on how close you are to the couple.

hmmm thanks all....gives me a better idea. I would probably only spend $50 on a present so maybe that's the voucher I'll get. We are after all trying to save for a house
We usually give a $50 gift voucher as it's so hard to buy a gift these days. I do remember when we got married that some families of 4 gave us 1 $20 voucher between them and we weren't overly impressed as their meals cost us 4 times that amount. It seems petty I know, but so much expense goes in to paying for a wedding.

$50- $100, they'd have to be very ungrateful if they wanted more.

$100 I always give $100 only so it kinda covers mine and hubbys dinner and drinks!!!:)
I think $50 is a decent amount especially since you are trying to save at the moment.

You're right though.
When you go to that much trouble.
I think it's totally unfair when the bride and groom pick out an expensive suits/dresses for the bridal party to wear and pay for themselves.
So rude.

I would give/spend about $100 although if it was a very close friend or family member I would give/spend $150-$200.
Probably between $50 and $100 depending on how close they are to you:)

you should never expect your guests to give you a gift good enough to cover their own meal, if thats what u want just ask them to pay for their own meal and no gift. you are the one who chose to get married and invite them, that doesnt mean they owe you. pay what you can afford, im sure most people would rather recieve a $20 voucher then know you're going to struggle to pay for other stuff!
