We have asked our friends and family to RSVP by tomorrow for DD's 1st birthday party this Saturday. So far only a small handful of people have replied. Is it rude to call the other guests and check if they are coming?

If so, when should I call them...tomorrow or the next day?

If anyone who you were sure would say yes have not RSVPed by the date then call them the day after :)

I think it's fine for you to ring them the next day- you need to know numbers.
I think it's very rude of them not to RSVP.
You might get some today and tomorrow that were just left to the last minute.

I don't think it's rude. I would however wait till the day after rsvp to call. You need to know numbers! And of course you do't want to cater for 15 and have 30 show up do you??

I hope so...could end up being a rather quiet day for her Birthday otherwise!

People who don't RSVP really annoy me. We had this happen at our wedding and I refused to check with anyone. If they couldn't be bothered RSVPing to me then they weren't on the guest list. On our wedding day we had approx 20 people turn up looking for a free meal who hadn't RSVP'd. It was quite embarassing for some as they didn't have a seat allocated to them, lol. I was just so sick of having people not RSVP. We had a similar thing with our engagement party so I had already thought about what I was going to do, lol. It taught them a lesson, though my uncle still hasn't learnt that he needs to RSVP.
