So - how?? :D I have a tub that I have my AIO's and pockets in - but how do you keep the fitteds til they're in use? I have a nappy stacker, but they dont fit too well in it (BBB's) and I am still undecided whether it would be easier to keep each nappies insert WITH it or separate them and just use the inserts that are needed at the time...

Such a dilema huh? What do you other MCN mummies do???

I keep the fitteds (all the nappies actually) in a box on the change table >click<... (http://www.flickr.com/photos/62116633@N00/335633915/)I put the fitteds together, that way I don't have to deal with a screamy baby (or one who likes to roll and crawl away mid nappy change) and putting the nappy together.

My nappy stacker must be a different size to yours, cos I can fit two stacks of nappies side by side in mine - it fits perfectly and that hangs on the side of the change table. Under the change table, on the shelf I have a basket that holds my wool covers and shorties etc, and the liners are sometimes chucked in there too.

But if I am being a good girl I put a liner into each nappy when I fold and stuff them, so they are all ready to use.

The nappy bucket is in the laundry though.

Thanks ladies - I thought it would be faster to snap the inserts in straight after washing too - thats when I'll stuff all the pockets etc as well.

I haven't tried stacking two side-by-side in the stacker - must try that!

Gawd - I cant believe I'm planning in advance on how to change my babies bum

I'll be watching this thread with interest as I've been keeping mine just stacked under the change table, but Ethan has lately taken an interest to pulling them out, admiring them (who can blame him really ;)) and then just throwing them literally all around the house! I've since put them in a huge basket that sits on his change table that I put on the floor after he's chosen his new nappy (so cute to watch!) and then put it on the table again ... but surely there's got to be an easier way??!! He's into drawers and everything now, so maybe not .

Oh, and I have mine all ready to go ... all inserts in pockets or snapped into fitteds etc from after washing.

I spent my Saturday night tidying up my nappys. They all now reside in the nappy stacker. :)

I also have them side by side in the nappy stacker. Fitteds on one side, pockets (stuffed) on the other and AIO (i have very few of these) with spare inserts in a basket on top of the drawers. All of these are DD's. We have another basket (from spotlight) with DS's covers that he is yet to grow into & are getting another stacker for him - both the stackers will hang on the side of the changetable - for easy access.

Depends, i have 2 different piles.

For us we have two different types of nappies - at home use and outing or nice time use... The at home use are ones im not all that fond of anymore, or are the first couple of MCN i ever made - so werent the best... So we save them for at home....

These live in the nappy stacker that hangs just above and off to the left of the change table.

The other nappies and stacked in the shevles under the change table... All nappies are close at hand during change time. And i also fill the nappies when i sort them bringing them in off the line so they are ready to go at any time...

I have mine in the shelves of the changing table, and some in the nappy stacker - actually I really need to organise mine a bit better with 2 in nappies. Poor DH gets confused which need covers - Mason has a gk funtime with cover on the other day  , but hey I no complain when he changes a nappy!!

Ronan always had his disposables, wipes and mat in a nice basket on the TV cabinet for changing on the floor (it's always been very handy but it does seem weird now that we had feral sposies in a nice dark cane basket on display!).

So now that basket has GK's, Berry Plush's and a couple of other larger nappies for Ronan in it.

For Ariene, the dining table in the same room has a small stack of folded terry flats, BBB's and VBSNs and some pockets.

We're all class here:rolleyes:

I've kept it like this to make it easier for Mace to grab a nappy that I know fits Ronan well and works for his super toddler wee's. He hasn't ventured into the world of terry flats and fitteds yet! And I think he has only changed Ariene's nappy perhaps 2 or 3 times? Doesn't matter, he changes Ronan's a lot.

Mine are stored in an old 3 shelf bookshelf, which is placed on the change table. As i do not use the change table and have not for a longtime.

Top shelf is flats and covers
Middle is nappies ( fitted, pockets etc)
Bottom is wipes

Befor that i did use a nappy stacker, but i find i can see my nappies better the way i do it now.

Just stacked under the change table on the shelves. I'm going to have to find another solution soon though, because I no longer use the change table and I want to move it out of his room soon.

We have a few storage areas (http://picasaweb.google.com/mychildrensmother/NappyStash)as we have far too many nappies (which is good with this wet weather)
The flats are in a nappy stacker, fitteds are in a wire basket with inserts, boosters, prefolds etc underneath (another stackable wire basket). I have another basket which has odds and ends in it with wipes in between. Also an overfilling wooden box with woollies.
It is rarely tidy :o

I store DD's nappies under the changetable in baskets (http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g125/rachel-84/IMG_1966.jpg) along with my wipes and lotions (http://i55.photobucket.com/albums/g125/rachel-84/IMG_1967.jpg).

The bigger basket holds the fitteds, covers and terry flats, and the front basket holds the pockets and AIOs!

I stuff etc as I am putting them away, much easier to just grab a nappy thats all ready

DD's washing hamper also matches the baskets:thumbsup:

We use a nappy stacker for most of them, and hanging shelves in the wardrobe for the rest. I also keep wipes, snappis, pins, creams, etc in the hanging shelves. I just grab what I need on my way to the change table.
I find it better to have everything in the wardrobe so I can close the door and DD can't get in there to pull everything out.

The last few weeks all our nappies have been stored on a chair in the lounge room, I've been folding/putting together as I need them, haven't had time to do anything else.

I have 3 different sizes:laughing:

I didn't think ahead and just bought one, and the hamper - then when I needed more, they didn't have any:banghead:

But my brother works there, and he told me when they had some more in, and even got them for me:thumbsup: but he got different sizes to the ones I have!!

I have 25/30 [maybe more - I need to recount] MCNs and they fit in the 3 baskets I have...

I store mine like this (http://s82.photobucket.com/albums/j275/KarniF00l/Dakotas%20Nappies/?action=view&current=Newstashpics014.jpg).

neostudded, I LOVE your nappy draws. Looks like you'll be able to fit heaps in them ;)

ETA : whoops, I should add that once the nappies are dry I make them all up so when it comes to needing them it's just a matter of grabbing the nappy and the inserts are already in place... much easier than fumbling around especially when having a newborn and they are screaming their little lungs out because they need a nappy change.

I stuff and snap and prod and poke:D my nappies once they are dry too - so much easier than having to fumble!!

KarniFool - love your 'layout', contemplate organising mine like that, but DD loves playing with her nappies, and her lotion and my makeup for that matter, so I have visions of them being coated in gunk:laughing:

Very impressive stash BTW:thumbsup:

Thanks everyone :D KarniF00l I love your nappy stash they look great I wish I had a girl so I could have gotten a pink BBB, Oh well maybe next time.Thats a good idea to have them ready to put on bubba so no stuffing around. That makes me think, maybe I should also keep the drawers next to the change table...:detective:

Thanks guys, I quite like my stash too but still can't justify it.

We have D in our room still, so to prevent sticky little fingers getting to the stash we simply close off the bedroom door. Too easy! :D

We have a change table from Ikea that has drawers under it.. our nappies go in there.. as we're an all-fitteds family, I make sure the inserts are snapped in so they are ready to go.. only need to add liner and a cover.. easy peasy..

I have some pink canvas baskets from Target that I use to store nappies in under the change table.

Can't believe how tidy some of those nappy-storage areas are though - DD's room is pretty messy (because as soon as I go in there, she follows and messes everything up... ).
