Hi,

Personally , I think that Sasha is a unisex name.
My godfather's name was Sasha and he was eastern european. It's quite a popular name for males over there.
I am not certain about the way Australians perceive the name though.
There was a girl I knew called Sasha here in Australia.

I think the name is unisex...i have only known one boy called it personally though.

Are you going to pronounce it S-a-sha or S-ar-sha? I personally like S-ar-sha betterfor a boy, but JMO. :) I like Brandon too.....

Hi i will be pronouncing it as s-a-sh-a and i am italian so it should suit him well.Iknow it is a unisex name and most girls with this name is spelt Sascha but i prefer Sasha for a boy.The meaning for Sasha is defender of man kind so the meaning is quite male i think.

I love the name Sasha for a boy. I went to school with a Sasha (male) and he was such a honey - maybe hat is why I like the name so much.

It flows well with Brandon too.

I taught a boy named Sasha which was short for Alexander (he was Russian). But I think you will find that most Australians think of Sasha as a girls' name.

I agree most Australians think of it as a girls name.

I have met one boy called Sasha, and he was a teenage chess geek, and looked the part, too.

Hi there

I think Sasha is a good name I had two really good friends in year 9 they were both Sasha and one was a girl one was a boy! I'm still in contact with the male Sasha and he is a wonderful man. Go with what you like, you're baby will be loved no matter what it is called!:)
