I have been a busy little bee...

Ive been flat out all week trying to get some belated birthday gifts done.... Even with G being really crook, i have been able to put my mind to it and get 15 nappies done in the past couple of days.... Makes me feel confident that with the business running ill be able to still put my feet up.

So anyway - here are my creations of the week... Im pretty proud of some of them...

First off...

My Neices (Laylah) birthday present - She turned 1 this month.... And im showering her in cloth...

Next....

Is my Nefhew (Wes) and G's lot for this week... My Nefhew turned 3 last month and is being toliet trained, he is rightish through the day but still in nappies at night, so i made him a couple for overnight as well as G getting some new ones..

And then!!

There are the training pants... I am really proud of these, i made up the pattern from scratch with no examples to look at, and it was alot of trial and error...

The training pants are made with a PUL hidden layer, sherpa inner and a hidden soaker pad. The pad is only a couple of layers of terry - but should be enough to catch a wee. So they are really one wee wonders, enough to get him to the toliet if an accident happens without his clothes getting wet. They pull on and off, and the last two have velcro or snapped sides. The sherpa will allow him to feel wet first... I tried them on G and they fit really good. Im so so happy with them!

Thanks :) Im just amazed, as hubby wont let me sew at night - or arvo when he gets home (thats family time) - and G wont let me near the machine when he is awake, so i only have the nap times through the day... I dont feel like i have pushed myself either, so :thumbsup: I can cope with a bigger load in a month or so...

they look great becky! are the nappies pockets? Are you using the Spotlight stuff or proper PUL?

Yeah, pockets excpet for the training pants... My special spotlight stuff if it has a fleece outer, and PUL for anything else.

The elastic in the legs looks nice and tight - I think I need to use less for mine :yes:

FM - Yeah, poor hubby thinks that ill be rushing in for no.2 now, just so i can have more excuse to make girls nappies. Im not sure what is so good about them, probably just because its something different.

Finished up another one today... Ive got to get some stock ready so its going to be like this for a couple of months i guess.

I went to Spotlight today to buy some boy stuff to make nappies for my nephew, it was really hard, there wasn't much I liked that was boy-ish!
