Was wondering if anyone has some delicious soup recipes for winter. I loove soup but tend to stick to the same old boring vegetable one. Can anyone give me a few recipes to get me through.
Thanks.

I think there has been a couple of soup threads lately so if you do a search you will probably find them.

I just made pumpkin and lentil soup.
I wash the red lentils and add them to a pot with cut up pieces of pumpkin and a chicken stock cube.
Add enough water to cover and simmer until the pumpkin is cooked.
Don't drain, just blend it all together.
You can add a touch of cream or coconut cream if you like.
Enjoy!:chef:

This is a very popular soup in Austria and Germany. It is called "Fritattensuppe" and is now my husbands (who is australian) and my DD most favourite soup:

Basically you make very very thin pancakes (approximately 1/2 liter milk, 2 eggs, approxiametely 6 - 8 soupspoons of flour, salt, pepper). Let the thin pankakes (like crepes) cool down, put them in a pile all above each other and cut into 3 peaces eg lengths wise. Put all the peaces on top of each other and cut 1cm thin stripes so you end up with lots and lots of 1cm thin and approx 5cm long pancake stripes (sorry for the complicated explanation)

Cook some soup stock (I prefer vegetable stock). Put an amount of pancake stripes into soup bowl and poor soup stock over. Serve immediately, so the pancake stripes don't soak too long in the soup.

I think I am going to make this for dinner tonight :D

I made a chicken soup on friday night i didn't eat it, but everyone else loved it!!

I got one kilo of chicken thigh's without skin or bone's-cut up
Two chicken torso's
put just enought water to cover them then added

5 carrot's-chopped up in little cube's
One zuccini chopped ip in cube's
LOTS of celerey-chopped up
a dryed soup mix packet of mixxed vege's from black and goal i had to let it soak over night to soften it first.
one packet of egg noodle's
3 packet's of chicken noodle soup mixxes for flavour.
two onion's completely blended

I had to get the bones out because the meat fell off the torso's.

It took about 5 hour's to cook it and i had to stir alot or it would stick to the bottom of the "soup thing"...you know, the thing you cook soup in...I dont know the name of it it's 2 hour's past my bed time. And i keep dozing off..I would go to bed but i have the kid's tonight so i can't.
