Hi,

I've heard quite a few times that while Spotlight doesn't sell suedecloth as such, they sell something similar called chamois and that can be used as an inner...

So I bought some, and it felt slightly different... anyhoo for some reason I decided to run it under the tap - and the water just sat on top, it didn't soak through? So my guess is that I couldn't use this as an inner because the wee would sit on the surface and then run out the legs?

Has anyone used this chamois stuff?

hey
i havent used it, but give it a wash with a little detergent - it may have manufacturing residue on it still which might explain why its not wicking.

Yeah it could be residue.

My sales girl tried to sell me that to use as inserts.....

I thought a chamois was what you used to wipe down the car with after you washed it:o .

Is it the same thing? Or something totally different?

Nope it's different to the car stuff!

I did a hot wash with deteregent follow by a hot dry?

So maybe I'll do another wash then, if it's meant to be suitable for an inner

I think that Spotlight get that stuff from Charles Pearsons, it's like a cleaning cloth for glasses? Or am I thinking something different?

Anyway, the swatch I have was washed a few times and yes, moisture went through, but very slowly and the fabric went slimy and stayed wet for ages... would make bub feel wet and yuck.

Hopefully this stuff you have is different to that!! :D
