What do you see as being your most perfect dream proposal from your man (assume he has a great sence of romance, imagination and loves you more than strawberries!!!)

I'm not sure. I really liked my proposal- I thought my DF was so sweet and romanic about it all. He took me up to Mt'Cootha for dinner and then afterwards took me out to one of those little huts and got on his knees in front of everyone- with a huge speech and asked me to marry him :D So I think I can say I had my perfect proposal :)

Well, dinner and flower's would've been a nice start...
Exactly how he did it! It was the most un-cliche proposal ever!
No ring, done in the dark in our loungeroom after a long night with DD. I guess for some it wouldn't be an ideal proposal but after fighting with a screaming 11 month old for 3 hours and finally getting her to sleep I felt so loved to know that all he could think about at that time was marrying me.
ETA - The best part was that he didn't just ask me to marry him, he asked me to marry him on a specific date...the 25th March, our ninth anniversary.

Exactly as it was! We were next to the yarra, we'd just been out to a lovely restuarant for dinner and it was just perfect :D

Just the way it was, I loved mine, it was sweet and unexpected. We were on a driving holiday though France for our anniversery, and we stayed at a for a few nights at a lovely vineyard and on the last morning there we went for a hot air balloon ride over the vineyard and that where he proposed…Valentine
I wasnt impressed with my proposal at all!!
He proposed to me in his brothers spare bedroom... which had clothes and nappies all over the floor.
Not exactly romantic!
I wouldnt change our engagement for anything .
We went out for a lovely dinner, and then upto a look out where he got onto a half bended knee (the ground was wet ) and then asked me to be his wife :D

Mine was perfectValentine
He took me to sydney and I had no idea just thought it was because I needed a break. Picked up in a beautiful limo and taken to a 5 star hotel on the Rocks in a luxury room over looking the harbour. We did dinner at the revolving restaurant and then walk along Mrs macquarries chair and then he got down on one knee and proposed with a stunning diamond trilogy ring which he knew I wanted.
It was the most romantic and beautiful moment in my life and now were 3 years married and still very much in love!!!
Would not change it for the world!

Not starting with "Sit down and shut up!" would be a nice start!!!
Yes, he actually said that. Men :o
I would have liked HIM to do it? Prepare something, be romantic...hell anything could have improved it......
DP - "Do you want anything from the shops? "
Me -"Yes, my engagement ring!"
DP gets home short time later, and throws ring box across the room...
DP - "Here you go"
Me - "Thanks, so we are engaged?"
EXTREMELY romantic:rolleyes:

I hated how I got engaged... as I am sure most would agree not the way to go..
But I would like: Assuming hot summers day
Have a lovely picnic on the beach for dinner
go for a long walk hand in hand
and then out of no where he tells me to look up in the sky. and there is a skyscaper ( sp ) writing in the sky " will you marry me "
