How long between changes? How many nappies?

OK, might be pretty basic but i am just making the switch to cloth after being exclusively a disposable user. So can you tell me how long do you normally go between changes and how many nappies to you have/need?

My DS is 1 but with bub 3 on the way i wouldn't mind knowing for a wide range of ages.

I intend to use AIO's incase this matters.

I have aboout 30 nappies (and more coming)...which is technically more than I need...but yanno...I like nappies :p

I wash every 3/4 days.

I change after each wee...so usually around 2/3 hours...he wees alot in the morning and less in the afternoon, so it adjusts accordingly.

He also goes for 12 hours at night with just the one nappy....so we go through about 6 nappies a day...he also has a fair chunk of the day nappy free....like maybe 3 hours.

DD is 2, and we use between 5-7 per day. She sleeps 12ish hrs overnight in a BBB or GK with extra booster & microfibre. I usually change her after each wee too - so sometimes it can vary greatly from 2-5hrs. A 2yo wee pretty much fills most nappies. lol.

At 2 weeks DS seems to be a very heavy wetter, soaking all my homemade terries & BBH perfold. I have some tiny MCN on the way for him, so i'll let you know!

I have 28ish.... I wash every few days, but alway have enough to see me through, especially with this cruddy weather lately. I think minimum you would need 20. The more nappies you have though, the less wear they get and the longer they last.

I change Olivia every 2 or 3 hours (she is 6months old), however, if I am just at home, or out this varies of course. I don't change her overnight.

Most true AIO's (that is, they don't need anything snapped in) take along time to dry, so you would need more. TBH, pockets are just as easy as AIO's (just one more step of stuffing them, but the benifits of them outweight the effort IMO)

We have quite a few - around 60 including flats and yes we use them all just not every day ...
I change after every wee which atm is very often :o
We prefer fitteds.
He does all night though in one nappy.
He has started to signal to me when he wees so might try no nappies during the day cept for naps.
He is 18mths.
