View Full Version : sex drive
Not sure where to post this one - tried looking around for similar thread - but can't find it........... my sex drive is a little out of wack still..... that is .. on the not so interested side of the scale.
I know there are lots of contributing factors like supreme tirededness etc - but I am sure there was a thread that meantioned something about having thyroid tested?? Why?? Any other theories or suggestions??
Hi Lucy
Not sure if you are breastfeeding, but that is a well known libido killer. I have found that both times I have started to wean that my "interest" has returned.
Hope you find an answer that works for you
I had the same thing Draught. Those darn hormones!
Not sure about the thyroid thing though. I had a test for that but that was due to crazy hair loss (which can also be a normal hormonal thing).
I'm sure someone around here knows!:)

Hiya lucy, 2 factors for me: the sheer exhaustion that is caused by having a child! and afraid that I might get pregnant if we did it because at the moment I'm not using any contraception whatsoever...
The good news is tho, apparently this is a temporary thing! :o
Plus I had a long good chat with DH before Thomas was even concieved, when we decided to have bub that once bub's arrived there are many things that we can't do it; having s*x is one of them, and he totally understand this. And it makes my life easier this way because I dont feel guilty or anything like that, and gradually we sort of back on track now...:p
Maybe have a chat with your DH might also help, let him knows how you feel...
TM
DH has been very patient - and yes the fear factor of another pregnancy so soon does come into it!! (no contraception for me either!!)
Glad to hear - that I am not the only one and things do get better!
Better print this post of for DH;)
