Harry has developed a new disappearing trick. Things just happen to disappear up his nose all the time now. Last night it was a pea that got stuck, but before that it's been sultanas, more peas, cheese and rose petals. Usually he just sneezes them out, so I'm not to worried it's just annoying. He has also started trying to stuff toys and other things up there as well. I make sure that we have safe toys for him so it's only the food that can fit up there, but I'm sitting with him whenever I can so he can't do it.
We were driving back from QLD on Friday and we gave him some sultanas to eat before we stopped. I heard him starting to sneeze and turned around (I was driving) just in time to see 3 or 4 sultanas be sneezed out from his nose. It was actually funny.
I'm just keeping on eye on it and hoping he grows out of it, just thought I'll let you all in on his new skills.
I'm so proud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL.

LOL LOL LOL!!!!
Oh the joys!!!! Just make sure he doesn't start putting things in his ears  !!
I have visions of sultanas flying out his nose!!! LOL LOL LOL :D :D
Oh no.... that must have looked hilarious. Boys will be boys. Ds has been trying to put his finger up my nose all the time lately, it's driving me bonkers. I wonder if he'll get sick of it soon and start on the sultanas too.

I am having the same issue! Andrew just loves to poke his fingers around...and during feeds I am getting his fingers in my mouth (not nice with jagged fingernails - ouch!) and up my nose, in my eyes and ears......argh!
Yep DD2 loves a finger up Mum's nose or in my mouth - it certainly keeps me on top of the manicures for her!
Now Karena you need to wait for the obligatory emergency dept story of something that goes up and doesn't come out. My mum informs me that all children have these and that it doesn't hurt them in the long run, and that it doesn't teach them not to put things up their nose - just to prepare me for the day I have to call a doctor about such an incident:p

What a clever little boy - glad you are soo proud. ;)
OMG that is sooo funny how proud you must be lol. :D
Hay at least the boy has a personality lol
The things I have to look forward too!!!
At least it is just his nose - my sister had a pencil lead flung into her ear and no one knew about it for three months! It was so gross when it came out!
But he is a clever boy - who would of thought to sneeze them out! I can just see other mums frantically waving pepper under their kids noses trying to get them to sneeze out that grape that was just too big! :D
The things they do. But lucky they came out quite easily. My dd has her finger constantly in her nose that now it is all red and sore around the nostril:rolleyes:

Thank you everyone,
yes I am very proud of his new found skill. He did start by exploring my nose first and has now moved onto his own.
