I'm interested in finding out what wwoofing is  :D
willing workers on organic farms.
A good friend of mine has been a WWOOFER host for about 20 years, and I have had the pleasure of meeting many many international visitors, but I can not remember anyone having children with them. I wonder if many hosts welcome them?
It would be a great educational experience for kids though...
It basically began as a weekend thing, so townies could learn about Organics, and be fed and housed in return for their labour, but expanded a lot, and now a lot of wwoofers will stay at a host farm for weeks, sometimes months if they get on really well with the family.
The sad thing is that in recent times lot of backpackers have been using the scheme as cheap housing, and are not interested in organics at all, so some of the hosts have been getting a little exasperated at the exploitation going on.
