Loans with bad credit

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows anything about getting a loan if you have a little bit of a bad credit history? It was nothing bad. Any advise would be good??

I'm pretty sure as long as the debt is paid you should be right. If you can show that you're paying it off regularly that goes in your favour too.

Just remember to read the fine print when signing the papers, some finance companies are dodgy. IMO

In my younger days i made quite a few stuff ups that lead me to have bad credit.

Have you ever got a copy of your credit report? they can be interesting.. mine wasnt as bad as i thought it was!

i had a silly bill that (naughty i know blaa) i had never paid (old mobile bill when i was younger) they registered me on the CRAA. and it come up when we went for our home loan but yet they still approved it.
but yet have been turned down for credit . really just depends on the lender.

and it really depends what sort of bad credit u have.. if it was all fixed up and paid.. doesnt matter how long it took.. it can be put on your file as a PAID DEFAULT. then in the event you go for a loan, they can see that you fixed it up. and its pretty much up to them to trust you :rolleyes: hehe

although not every lendor is understanding.
i hate going for loans and things like that!

When we went for our home loan, my credit report had an unpaid bill from telstra that I had no idea I owed! Our mortgage broker sorted it out so I just had to pay the bill and write a letter to the bank explaining why it wasn't paid. I just said in the letter that the bill was from when we moved houses right after our son was born, and the bill got forgotten about. The bank accepted that and everything was cool.
If the stuff on your credit report is nothing major and is all paid, you really shouldn't have much to worry about. Good luck! :)

Thanks for the advise guys. Me and DP are looking into buying a house but I have had a credit defult from when I was younger (and stupid). Might go get a copy of my credit file and have a look.

It's Aidan's fave too :D If he sees it but can't reach it, he'll crack the sads until I give it to him

Yeah thats totally the same with kailey, she has to have it to sleep, in the car. Its weird. She'll always talk to it and smile. She acually smiled at that toy before she smiled at DP. He wasnt to happy about that.
