Where do bubs sleep during the day?
We generally put MJ in the cot which is against my side of the bed & pile pillows up so she cant get onto the bed but its not working so good anymore :o MJ has discovered how to climb over them. I'm worried about her falling off the bed. I cant just have a mattress on the floor as DH would never be able to get out of bed in the morning :p
Thanks
RB
Conor has always slept in the big bed for sleeps with or without me. As soon as he could crawl I taught him how to climb down backwards saying "safe" to him. He's fallen out of bed twice (slept through it once LOL) and never been injured. We have wooden floors too! How about piling a duvet/pillows round the edge of the bed so if she does come a cropper she'll be ok?
It depends for us.
Now he has his 'toddler bed' next to ours he tends to climb in there, but me being a buggered pregnant lady half the time, I will have a lie down next to him in mine.
;)
I only co-slept with DD1 - DD2 still doesn't like it - but the only way DD1 would have a day time sleep was for me to lie down with her on our bed. I did the same as Janet - taught her to slide off backwards, put her in the middle of the bed and she only fell off once - while climbing to reach something on the bedside table. My mum helped me shift her to her own cot for sleeps in the week before DD2 was born as I was worried about how she would sleep if I wasn't there - so we started cuddling her to sleep in a chair in her room and then lying her down. Now she says (in her own big bed) "I not a baby mummy, I sleep by myself". (Sigh - they grow up so fast:o )

My son sleeps in the bed with me because he only sleeps in the cot for an hour at a time. And now he only sleeps for more than 10 minutes if he thinks someones in the bed with him so i have to put pillows up against him of a day time. but now im not so sure whether the cosleeping was a good idea because what happens when i get into a relationship?

Mine sleep in the big bed. Up until mid last year I had a cot set up as a side car so I'd pop DD close to that side as she is a very mobile sleeper. She learnt very early on how to slide out of bed safely when she woke up too :)
